Ladies, we ran out of space on the old thread so here is a sparkly new one with dedicated areas for waggle dancing, hormonal outbreaks of bonkersness, sniffing, injecting and progesterone pessary related fartiness.

For anyone thinking about starting IVF / ICSI or going through it at the moment, do come and say hello. These wonderful ladies have kept me sane through the last few months and are a source of all knowledge concerning tests, down-regging, ov stimulating, DIY injections and much more so if you need any info or just some company, do join us.

So here's a welcome Brew for everyone and an enormous waggle dance for many many more BFPs to come

Ok, most intrepid pee of my life and... Grin!

I picked up a test from Guys but on Kool's advice also did an OTC test and got a faint but definite line on both! I was shaking as I was doing it so DH had to look at the results, we've both had the dopiest grins for the last hour!

Still a long way to go but my God it feels good to have got this far! Calling the clinic later to confirm and order more Cyclogest!

Phew!

zeebee1 · 13/10/2011 07:24

I''m soooo [happy] Grin for you jumping ... congrats! Now you are on the next stage... Wowowowow
have a great dayThanks

jumpingjackhash · 13/10/2011 07:48

Thanks Zeebee hopefully you'll get you bfp soon too!

blacktreaclecat · 13/10/2011 08:07

Congratulations jumping. Sending you sticky healthy vibes.
AFM didn't sleep much at all last night, hoping it is just anxiety. Really really worried about ohss. My tummy is a bit bloated and tender- this is normal right?
Felt a bit nauseous and upset tummy. Having today off work. Should I ring my clinic? Also I'm very worried about EC.

bugsylugs · 13/10/2011 09:01

Jumping fantastic news, healthy sicky vibes winging their way to you. Relax and enjoy Grin .
Black treacle. If you are worried phone the clinic they would rather talk to you a hundred times a day than have you worried/ stressed etc. keep drinking the water. I haven't done it but everyone else on here seemed to find EC quite ok very relaxed and sleepy after. You have done all the hard work well done and try to find something to distract you. And good luck

To everyone else remember it only take's one (the threads mantra)/ Hope all the planning. DR/ stiming/scans etc are going well

Pollykitten · 13/10/2011 09:47

jumping omg that is so exciting! Congratulations a million times! Lovely news - braver POAS than scaling Everest!

blacktreacle I agree with bugsy - ring them and have a chat. When I had my EC, it was fine, I remember bits of it, like a dream really - I could feel something going on in my insides but it was no worse than, say, mild period pain. I was tender already with having lots of follicles which is probably the same for you. They do know what they are doing with sedatives/pain relief. I didn't even need paracetamol afterwards. I didn't swig gallons of water either - don't overdo as this could make you even more bloated!

Teds77 · 13/10/2011 10:12

jumping yay! Well done you Grin

Quick update from me on Cycle 2: Wrinkly Ovaries The Return ... Day 11 of my very long DR-ing here and have scan on Monday to see how things are going. Promise I'll catch-up properly with everybody next week especially as I'll need some hand holding myself.

jumpingjackhash · 13/10/2011 10:47

Thanks all for the good wishes! [proud emoticon] Hope it's contagious!

Blacktreacle I felt bloated and very tender too - but please call your clinic and have a chat with one of the nurses, they'll be able to reassure you and offer advice.

Teds hope the scan goes well and the ovaries behave. You know we're here for you.

blacktreaclecat · 13/10/2011 11:30

I have to say I was a little disappointed this morning. I rang Care and just said I was very worried about OHSS, hadn't slept and needed some reassurance. The nurse I spoke to just said we'd have to see what happened, they don't know whether I will get OHSS or not. Keep hydrated, rest see what happens at EC. She said if I get over 20 eggs they will advise a freeze all cycle. Then FET in the new Year. I'm preparing myself for a freeze all but was expecting the FET in a month or so not 3! She didn't reassure me at all.

Pollykitten · 13/10/2011 11:39

blacktreaclecat you probably spoke to someone when they were busy and they were just being factual, but you needed some reassurance. I had 18 eggs and they thought I might get more and at no point was FET spoken about. Have they adjusted the stim medication? I work in the NHS and my advice would be to try to get hold of the consultant's secretary and say you would like to speak to the consultant directly - the secretaries are the ones to get in with!

Pinkforboys · 13/10/2011 12:50

Well done jumping!!! That's such good news to hear.

It doesn't sound like you got the most empathic nurse this morning, treacle but you should be okay. It is normal to feel really bloated pre EC- it reminded me of being about 4 months pregnant last time- swollen abdomen, boobs, irrational moods etc. pollykitten's advice sounds pretty good.

AFM I'm beginning to feel my ovaries jiggling with every step. Scan this morn showed that my ovaries have heard my pleas and follicles are multiplying and growing as instructed. But the hormones are kicking in now and i just feel like curling up in a ball and having a good cry [hsad] DIdn't help that it tool 3 goes to draw blood this morning. I'm in need of a glass of wine and it's not even 2 o'clock yet!

blacktreaclecat · 13/10/2011 14:54

Pink - the hormones are awful aren't they. Glad your follies are perking up.
Just had a massive cry on my mum, think it is the hormones. We lost a baby at 13 weeks in March and this just brings everything back. We are doing array cgh (a sort of pgs) to hopefully minimise the risk of a repeat loss.
Polly You are right, they have to warn you about these problems- if you got ohss or had to have a freeze all and weren't expecting it it would be worse.
Xx

sassygirl210 · 13/10/2011 17:37

Great news jumping so good to hear! Congratulations. Fingers crossed for the rest of us! Gives us all poitive vibes! :)

sassygirl210 · 13/10/2011 17:38

ooops I meant positive! x

MrsMigginslovespies · 13/10/2011 22:30

Jumping on to say congratulations to Jumping so far for great news! And sending lots of waggles and good wishes to the rest of you. Saw my Mum today who got a bit tearful on me when she saw the huge bag of stuff I'll have to shoot into my legs soon. Keeping positive outlook and keep visualising myself preggers with a big bump so hoping that sends out good vibes! Hope everyone stays well and that Jumpings good news spreads to everyone!

Dannygirl · 13/10/2011 23:08

Just popping on to say huge congratulations to jumping amazing news girl!

Also treacle sorry to hear about your MC. I have everything crossed it all works out for EC and ET, I agree with Polly try and get hold of a consultant, sounds like you need better advice than you had. Let us know how you get on

Hi Teds good to hear from you! Good luck for the scan, and I will happily hold your hand all the way through this :)

Welcome Sassy, I am also on the road to a FET (hopefully) and also have 4 little frosties in a lab in Hammersmith :) It's a weird thought isn't it? Do you mind me asking if you have thought about whether you would transfer one or two when the time comes?

Well I saw my consultant again last week who started me straight off onto a FET cycle. He wants me to down reg Hmm before the oestrogen patches hopefully thicken up my womb lining nicely this time round. So I am on day 7 of buserelin injections which have been OK so far. Think it's at least another 3-4 weeks before FET would happen, if this works. Fingers crossed

Waves and hugs to everyone else xxx

Pollykitten · 14/10/2011 09:54

Anyone else experience outlandishly large nipples in their TWW? Wondering if this is the progesterone or some more exciting reason? I'm now 6 days past day 5 blastocyst transfer. I've also had consistent dull cramping from day 1 and in the evening my sense of smell is so strong I couldn't eat the dinnner I'd cooked last night as I'd put a teaspoon of honey in a marinade and it was so overpowering I couldn't eat it! Having said that, I've got a sense of smell like a bloodhound anyway, so trying desp not to read too much into it. Like Basil Fawltey said, 'It's not the despair: I can cope with the despair. It's the HOPE - that's what's killing me'

zeebee1 · 14/10/2011 12:32

Hi polly well, only being on day 3 past blasto transfer myself, I - like you have been looking for the signs! Can't say i've had many - bit of a dull achey pain every so often in the womb-ey area, and incredibly exhausted in the evenings come around 6pm - have to take myself to bed around 8/9pm - normally i'm a night owl! So i guess it might be the progesterone, or maybe little Wallace and grommit growing (or dividing at this stage?!)! Named them that because my DH said I looked like wallace afterward my ET because I had such a massive smile on my face! Grin something like that!
Hosp rang yesterday to say they have also managed to freeze 4 blastos as well - so we are very happy about that - feels like there's a bit of comfort incase this doesn;t work - NOT that i'm being negative of course!
Ho Ho - been thinking about you - hope all OK?
Teds lovely to hear from you... hope it's all going OK too.
Jumping how are you doing? Still on cloud 9? Do you feel different?
Danny great about your FET. Good luck with those little injections!
Waves to everyone else - yippee it's a sunny Friday !

blacktreaclecat · 14/10/2011 15:16

EC went well got 21 eggs and 19 were mature.
The consultant was happy there was no free fluid and my ovaries weren't excessively enlarged so isn't insisting on a freeze all unless I become unwell this weekend.
Hi and vibes to all

Cloclo15 · 14/10/2011 16:10

Hi all, massive congrats to jumping :) and to blacktreaclecat on the EC, that's a great haul

I'm on day 4 of stimms, waiting for DH to come home to administer my injection. After the horrible downregs I actually feel like a normal person again on these - not excessively tired or cranky and no headaches :) I realise we are early days and it could still get symptomatic, but I'm just enjoying this bit of normality.

How many days did the rest of you do stimms for? Is it a full two weeks?

Pollykitten · 14/10/2011 16:36

Hurray blacktreaclecat that's ace!

blacktreaclecat · 14/10/2011 16:43

Stimmed for 10 days on antagonist protocol
Feel really nauseous. No major pain though.

sassygirl210 · 14/10/2011 18:24

Yey! blacktreaclecat that's such great news, brilliant :) x

Pinkforboys · 14/10/2011 20:40

Well done blacktreacle. You must be relieved not to OHSS. Now rest up, enjoy a few Wine before you're pupo!

zeebee1 · 14/10/2011 22:04

blacktreacle great news on a great egg collection!
You must be very pleased... yey!
clo I stimmed for 14 days... Not constantly as I was coasting for some of it.
