Ladies, we ran out of space on the old thread so here is a sparkly new one with dedicated areas for waggle dancing, hormonal outbreaks of bonkersness, sniffing, injecting and progesterone pessary related fartiness.

For anyone thinking about starting IVF / ICSI or going through it at the moment, do come and say hello. These wonderful ladies have kept me sane through the last few months and are a source of all knowledge concerning tests, down-regging, ov stimulating, DIY injections and much more so if you need any info or just some company, do join us.

So here's a welcome Brew for everyone and an enormous waggle dance for many many more BFPs to come

group hug here I come - thank you ladies. :) Best of luck to those going in for EC tomorrow.

koolforcats · 14/08/2011 17:15

Bodeccia any news, lovely? X

Bodeccia · 14/08/2011 17:49

Evening all

Well, out of the 9 eggs they collected, 4 have taken. They're going to give me another call tomorrow to tell me how they're developing and to see when they want to do ET. Thanks for all the positive encouragement. I really did feel reassured from you all when you said that 9 was really good. You are all just ACE :o

I've been talking to Mr.B about 1 or 2 to put back. It is such a personal decision. He feels really strongly that we should only put one back, whereas I feel like we should do two. I don't really know yet, we have to wait and see what the clinic says, the quality of the embryos etc. I am happy to respect what Mr.B says, it doesn't involve just me after all :) Like everyone here, I just want to do what is right for us.

Wishing loads of luck to ellan, cake and teds for your EC tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed for you all! Let us know how you get on.

Hope the injections are going well garden and skitoo. Let me just say: pessaries are about the most unsexy thing in the world.

I'm still basking in the glow that is womanly's news. Just great :)

highheelsandequations · 14/08/2011 19:23

Teds77 · 15/08/2011 00:03

Bodeccia that's lovely news Smile

Gah! Bit nervous about tomorrow. Lots of luck and love to my EC buddies ellan and nocake xxx.

womanlytales · 15/08/2011 07:16

Thank you Highheels -Congrats on ur little bundle of joy. best of luck for ec today. am doing ok, though still spotting... it turns on and off so am a bit nervous. one day and one week at a time.
bodeccia good news, best of luck for et.

luckbealady · 15/08/2011 09:16

Now then, I turn my back for two days, and look what happens - we get THREE BFPs!!!!! Grin Oh bugsy, louise and womanly I am delighted for you!! That is such fabulous news, I think I'm going to dissolve into a big melty lump of tears and smiles. Here's to a brilliant 8 months for all of you!

And not only that, but Bodeccia got a brilliant 9 eggs, and you now have 4 little embies developing - best of luck with ET, liebchen.

ellan, Teds and nocake I guess you'll be at EC NOW, so when you read this, I hope all went extremely well and that you enjoyed the lovely anaesthetic, and that they got lots of eggs.

caramel CUTE that you saw carameletta's heartbeat! That must have been absolutely amazing.

I test on Thursday, and am now officially getting very nervous. I have to go to the hosp at 8.30 for the blood test, and then apparently I'll get the results by the end of the day. Which is of course crap, so I'll be POAS as well. Am SCARED Sad. My temperature seems to be all over the shop; either I'm having hot flushes or I'm cold and layering on the jumpers. Did anyone else get this?

MUST NOT MENTAL MUST NOT MENTAL.

So, in other news, looks like we'll be exchanging contracts on our house in the next week and then moving around bank holiday time YAY Grin. Which is why I've been offline, because we've started packing. So that's something to look forward to.

Our cat has been very grumpy during the packing because bags and boxes usually mean holidays and therefore the cattery. But she's recovered now and is here next to me, sending feline greetings to all the other kitties on here. She's a rescue cat, and doesn't do sitting on knees, but she likes to be around and is purring her little head off.

Sorry for the wobble, it's just hitting home that this it's nearly T-day. Feck.

xxx

koolforcats · 15/08/2011 09:19

Teds, Ellan, Nocake good luck today! Hope all goes really smoothly.

Bodeccia well done, 4 is a good amount. I'm sure the one or two decision is a tough one but I'd see how your embies get on and the clinic might be able to advise you on the best course of action. Hope you get further good news today Smile

Garden I know you're a busy little pixie at the mo, so I hope stimming is going much more smoothly this time xx

Welcome marmite (yum, by the way!), I'm sure it all feels really overwhelming and alien at the mo but dont let that put you off. You just take each step at a time and there's not too much too it in the end. I am at Guys (as are a few of us on here) and there are also people from Bridge and the Lister so quite a lot of London people. Good luck with whatever you decide Smile

womanlytales · 15/08/2011 09:20

luck I have got everything crossed for you. :) Wave to kool

koolforcats · 15/08/2011 09:28

Sorry Luckbealovelyladycompletewithpurringcat x posts. Of course you're mentalling, sweets - you're pretty amazing if you've only just started! You're so close though hon, and it sounds as though you have plenty to keep you occupied until then (no heavy lifting, mind! Wink). Eek, blood test at 8.30 and results by the end of the day?! That's just mean! Surely it should be fast tracked to the "every minute is a minute longer than I'd like to endure, thank you very much" department! So I can't blame you for wanting to poas too. How many days post ET will that be (I know, I should go back to look but don't want my post to get gobbled)? I hope you've had a good 2 weeks off so far, filled with yummy lunches and happy singing Smile (((hugs)))

koolforcats · 15/08/2011 09:29

Wave back at womanly - hopefully your progesterone may get that pesky spotting in check, do call your clinic for reassurance though. I'm trying to take your day & week at a time approach too....xx

jumpingjackhash · 15/08/2011 09:57

Hi there all, just quickly catching-up on things...

Bugsy, Womanly, Louise GREAT NEWS! Congrats to you all - hope your luck continues and rubs off on the rest of us Grin

Bodeccia, sounds v positive - sending you good vibes and waggles for the ET.

Cloclo, if you're certain of your dates I can't see why you wouldn't start this cycle (assuming your test results are all in). It's an odd feeling once the process starts, isn't it?! A mixture of excitement and nerves!

I'm still waiting for a call from Guys to book in my scheduling appointment (day 1 of my cycle was last Tues, called and left a message then as instructed!)... am I being too impatient? I mentioned on Thurs when I went for blood tests that I called and had left a message (was told I'd hear back later that day or Friday) and left another message on Saturday morning, just in case!

Can anyone give me an idea of how long it takes from this appointment to get the drugs through? Am I worrying unnecessarily?!

koolforcats · 15/08/2011 10:11

Hi jumping I do remember that at Guys, both garden and I only got our drugs just before we started, which I know isn't very reassuring but it'll be fine. I know that garden has the number of the drugs company too, which I'm sure she'd PM you if you contact her. Guys are never great at returning calls, it's frustrating isn't it (that's my only complaint about them tho). You're not being too impatient. I know it's a pain but it sounds like you're going to have to keep calling Shock. I'm guessing you're hoping to start sniffing on day 21? So you should be fine but you do need your scheduling appointment. You will get your drugs on time I'm sure, but I'm with you on the frustration - you're so close now! Not sure if I've really answered your question other than telling you to keep phoning Blush

koolforcats · 15/08/2011 10:14

ooh jumping I should add that sometimes someone at guys actually answers that phone number so if I were you I'd leave another message today but still keep calling during the day as you might get through to a real person at some point...

jumpingjackhash · 15/08/2011 10:21

Hi Kool, no, you've been helpful! It's good (in a weird way) to know they're a bit rubbish at returning calls - reassures me that it's not just me! Wink At the patient info evening they made a point of saying you'd get a call back within 48 hours

Indeed I am hoping to start sniffing on day 21 - which is just a few days before I go on hols, so hopefully that will help to counteract any mood swings!

koolforcats · 15/08/2011 11:11

You should be fine then, just keep on at them, then even if you don't get your scheduling appt until next week, there will still be time to get the drugs. Good call re a holiday while down regging! Grin

jumpingjackhash · 15/08/2011 11:59

Just left another message Kool! Have given up leaving them on the nurses' line and just left it with the main receptionist extension. [impatient emoticon]

Teds77 · 15/08/2011 13:25

Afternoon lovely ladies.

Lots of hugs to Luck I'm impressed you got this close to testing without mentalling. Am doing some post-anaesthetic dosey waggle dancing for your nerves Smile

jumping I had my drugs appointment two days before I started - drugs arrived on the actual day I started so I didn't do the morning sniff.

Update from me is that we got three eggs. Had a little wobble afterwards as I guess I was secretly hoping that some how they might find another follicle tucked away but wasn't to be. Hopefully we'll have something to transfer either on Weds or Thurs. Got fingers and toes crossed Sad

ellan and nocake hope all has gone well for you too x.

koolforcats · 15/08/2011 14:06

Teds, it only takes one.....and you got three! Stay strong, rest up and take it easy (((hugs)))

luckbealady · 15/08/2011 14:30

teds yay your three eggs! The lights are dimmed, the soft music is playing and Mr Teds has just arrived with choc and flowers... I bet they're getting jiggy right now!Wink With any luck you'll have 3 fat embies by tomorrow morning. Hang on in there xxxx

frustratedchick · 15/08/2011 15:36

Hello girls, can I join? I have been following your thread silently...and only now daring to appear...!

I am due to start LP at ARGC in early October (day 21) after a long time ttc-ing, unexplained infertility with high nk cells. I am 33, DH is 34. Is anyone at ARGC?

Anyway, I still have a couple of months of (very inpatient and anxious) wait - mainly due to the need to wait for a chromosome karyotype test which is taking ages - so can I pls be added to your 'waiting to start' list? And I will be following all your progress - crossing fingers that it works for all of you.
