You may well have tested too early. There is always a chance until your AF arrives, so test again tomorrow morning when you'll be 2 days over.

Technically it's not too early but there is always a chance that there was not enough of the pregnancy hormone to show up.

Aprilgirl - It would be highly unusual that you had conceived within the 1st 2 months of trying!! Relax woman.

I tested with a cheap kit when pg with ds and it was bfn but with predicter test it was bfp.

Maybe worth another test? Or just relax and see what happens if you are able to.

presuming your cycle is not settled here.. stressing can cause delay... but your question was what would I do...I personally would take another test (I can't stand the anticipation) and if -ve seek drs if af not arrived in another couple of days.

Its the toss up between can you live with the probabilty of being pg and not knowing..or.. can you sit it out? or how would you feel if it was -ve?

Tests have different sensitivity levels and therefore you may have had one which is testing for a higher level that isn't present yet. (remaining hopeful for you)

(sorry sat on the fence here hey?)

to be honest it was just a shitty pound land test so it might have been a bit naff ( have you heard me trying to convince myself)might test wednesday if no af shows up!! its really my 1st cycle since i come off pill x

If this is your first cycle since coming off the pill this could also be a valid reason for delay. I have read that it took someone a while for their Af, however when I first came of pill it was "business as usual" so hope it is for you.

However, On a positive note I am sending you luck for testing on Weds.

If it's only a few weeks since you came off the pill then that's probably why your period is late. When I came off the pill the first time it was 13 months before my periods came back, so they can be messed up for a while.

Is it worth a trip to the doctor as 18 days sounds an awful long time to be late. But those do sound like potential pregnancy symptoms, don't they?
Do doctors do blood tests for this sort of thing?
