Milk in breasts - could I be pg?

I stopped bfing my first child 2 months ago and have been trying for another baby since. By my calculations I might be 3 weeks pg at the mo if I am lucky. I happened to squeeze my boob and milk came out. I could not swear it but I thought I had dried up completely. Does his mean I might be pg? Would love to be but too early for test.

I came on to post exactly this question. I stopped breast feeding nearly 9 months ago, but have always been able to get a little bead of milk if I had a quick squeaze. Anyway, this morning I had a go and got myself in the eye. Second squeaze and I hit the door of the bathroom. I swear this has never happened before.

But I feel like you Cornflower - maybe it has and it's wishful thinking. I'm only 3 weeks & 2 days since af, but have very short cycle, wouldn't be unusual to come on tommorrow. What do you think, Cornflower, shall we pee on the stick together?

Brunhilda · 12/10/2003 14:31

Hi Fisil, Cornflower here. I changed my name since I felt a bit silly after the last post. Well, I did do a pg test today and it was negative but then I am not due on until Wed at the earliest. My nipples are all sort of swollen too and this happened last time I was pregnant. I don't know if I dried up completely - never thought to check - and only checked because nipples were weird. I have also felt nauseaous.

Good luck to you - I'll let you know what transpires. You let me know too, won't you.

Brunhilda · 12/10/2003 14:32

nauseous ??!

Brunhilda · 12/10/2003 14:33

nauseous ??!

Brunhilda · 12/10/2003 14:34

sorry - kept pressing post as it was slow!

fisil · 12/10/2003 16:02

Hmm, haven't felt sick, but then that wasn't a major issue last time.

I had major probs spelling squeaze (still not sure, but looks better than anything else I've tried) and you with nauseous - maybe we've just disovered a new symptom (or maybe it's a symptom of ttc ).

I remember getting in a bad mood very quickly (in a sense of humour failure way) and being unable to get contact lenses in last time, but haven't noticed anything like this yet (although I gave up on contacts, cos I didn't want to give the game away second time around to observant people!)

Bought the kits this morning, might have a wee tomorrow afternoon - I'll let you know, and please let me know!

Brunhilda · 15/10/2003 20:49

I'll keep on trying. How about you?

fisil · 16/10/2003 18:12

I'm sorry. Horrible, isn't it?

I did a negative test Tuesday. Day 27 today, I'm usually much less than that (23 - 25), so will test again tomorrow.

Brunhilda · 16/10/2003 18:31

fingers crossed! will keep checking this thread t see how you get on!!

Bogwoppit · 16/10/2003 20:18

fingers crossed fisil

Jemma7 · 17/10/2003 15:33

Any update girlies?

fisil · 18/10/2003 09:49

Did two tests yesterday - one in the morning, and then I bought a different brand to try in the afternoon. Both negative.

Still lots of milk, still no AF (now on day 29, and I can't remember ever going past day 28 before, last month was 23). Tired, clumsy, emotional & forgetful too, but with FT job & baby there could be another reason for this ...

Bored waiting - just want to know!

fisil · 18/10/2003 09:49

BTW thanks both for asking - I'm really touched.

Mumsnet's great!

Egypt · 18/10/2003 16:13

fisil - have you tried first response tests? they are much more sensitive and gave me a positive b4 af due and b4 all other preg tests

fisil · 18/10/2003 20:48

Thanks Egypt. Tesco & Lloyds don't have them - do you know who does?

quackers · 18/10/2003 23:25

Boots have them fisil. I got a posistive on day 22! Give it a try! XX

Egypt · 19/10/2003 09:18

yes boots boots boots! go for it! hi quackers

fisil · 19/10/2003 17:10

I will be in Boots as soon as I finish work tommorrow. You won't be able to keep me away (unless, of course, AF comes to visit in the next 24 hours)!

Brunhilda · 19/10/2003 20:17

Good luck mate!

Egypt · 20/10/2003 14:50

fisil - let u know asap!!!!!

CountessDracula · 20/10/2003 15:03

fisil, how exciting. You'll have to cut back on the vino at the SW london meet-up if you are!
Get weeing on that stick girl!

Jemma7 · 20/10/2003 16:33

Come on Fisil......Feel like i'm going to burst

If Dp & I haven't cracked it this month i don't know what to do.
We have been Baby Dancing every day for the last week and a bit and i am shattered (Was going to shagged, but that would be litterally )

I have done everything right i think, we have been baby dancing from day 13 - my cycles aren't regular varying from 28-38 days so we thought that would be the right sort of time to start (shouldn't think i would ov before then) - on day 21 now.
Have been making sure i'm not peeing afterwards like usual (see other thread), laying flat for 20, feet on wall for 20 mins, bum in air for 20 minutes!
Not all one after the other, have done a different one each time to bring some variation.

DP thinks i have turned into some sex crazen ravenous woman

Everyone keep your fingers and toes crossed - not sure if i could do this every month - feel shattered

fisil · 20/10/2003 18:08

Hummmph. No AF. First response negative too. I've never got as far as 28 days ever before. Usually a standard 25 days. Now I'm up to 31.

The milk has dried up though, and I feel lots of period pains, so I guess I'm about to come on, just v later.

So, order the wine CD, get me a glass, and I'm there with you!
