Hi all!

I've just fell off the March bus last night and feeling Sad. There is another bus for April but I didn't see any familiar names on it and I know a few old friends fell off the March bus so I thought I'd start my own bus (first one I've really started!)

So I'm handing round the Wine and Biscuit and sitting at the back 'til AF
buggers off finishes her lovely visit!

Hi Floydie, looks like we're going through similar timing at the moment. I had cramps start Saturday, so I thought that was it - usually get them the day before or day of AF... then nothing... then slight cramping every day since but less each time. Logical part of my brain says it doesn't mean anything, silly part of brain can't stop thinking "maybe...???"! (Sorry, know you all know exactly what I'm talking about and heard it a million times b4...)

LancyLass · 19/07/2011 11:35

P.S. I'm only on 2nd cycle so am also a newbie trying not to get carried away!

minipie · 19/07/2011 11:49

Hello all

I wondered if I could join this bus as I see some familiar names from the March bus (hello Byrnsie) which I'm now well and truly off.

On CD12 today and should be coming up to ovulation late this week - OPKs say no so far. I'm aiming to SWI every other day this week, but suspect it may be a bit hard to persuade DH since he's working quite long hours Sad.

I've also decided to stay pretty much completely off the Wine during the 2ww since I drank a fair bit last month and wonder if that might have stopped conception or implantation (probably not but I want to feel there is something more I can do towards getting pg!)

I felt a bit stupid last month as I convinced myself I had pg symptoms... only to discover they were, of course, AF symptoms instead. I'd got so obssessed with pg symptoms I'd clean forgotten about AF...

LancyLass · 19/07/2011 12:52

Hi Minipie, you've just reminded me of a question I wanted to ask everyone - during the 2ww, do you assume you're pg, or assume you're not, when it comes to stuff like drinking and all the other things you're not supposed to do when pg? (It's v useful in some areas: "Oh no darling, I can't possibly clean the cat litter trays, I might be pg and there's a risk of toxoplasmosis!" But seriously it seems a bit daft to live life avoiding things for 2 weeks every month "just in case"...

minipie · 19/07/2011 16:29

Lancy as you can see I've done a bit of a u-turn on this one! Last month I very much behaved like I wasn't, drank alcohol and coffee, ate unpasteurised cheese, etc. But I think from now on I'll be more cautious and follow the rules (well mostly). Not so much because I think I might already be pg but more to enhance the chances of implantation. And hey, if I'm not pg, at least I'll be healthier...

Byrnsie30 · 19/07/2011 16:42

Hi minipie! sorry you fell off March bus, but it's nice to see you!

I'm the same as you mini, I've gone both ways in the 7 months we've been trying. At the mo I'm just going with moderation, so I'm not depriving myself or constantly worrying. Hope that helps Lancy

I'm CD15 today and expect to OV on Friday. Been doing OV tests for 5 days, no smiley yet, which I expected, just good to keep an eye on things! x

LancyLass · 19/07/2011 17:57

Thanks. Maybe I'll allow myself the odd half-glass of Wine then!

Imustbecrazy26 · 19/07/2011 18:13

Hi Minipie!!!

Ive been thinking bout this too as i drink a fair amount of coffe at work, dont drink that often just the odd one at weekends, i have cut down dp's drinking why should it be me that does all the hard work Grin.
I still try not to think i am pg but it better to be slightly healthier.

lalabaloo · 19/07/2011 19:20

Well I have been avoiding the cat litter since we started TTC in January! But i've decided stilton is fine, so is the odd glass of wine, eggs with runny yolks etc. :D

But seriously, I tend to err on the side of caution a bit but not too much, a lot of women don't realise they are pregnant until much later and so I guess as long as you aren't going out of your way to do damage then it should be ok?

Liliana1 · 19/07/2011 21:23

I've gone through swings and roundabouts.

When we started trying I didn't worry at all. After 9 months and no success I found mumsnet, started charting and getting serious as it obviously wasn't going to just happen for us so avoided everything 'bad' as thought it would help. Another 7 months down the line I'm back to everything in moderation as I can't live half my months worrying about eating cheese or rare steak and having a drink after work.

I also find it makes it worse each month that you are not pregnant when you have spent so much time saying no to thing 'just in case'.

Agree with lalabaloo - loads of women are pg without knowing for ages and do whatever they normally do without thinking about it.

LancyLass · 20/07/2011 12:39

There's lots of people listed more than once on the bus list. Is that a mistake? Apols if there's a reason for it, this is the first bus I've been on!

LancyLass · 20/07/2011 12:42

P.S. Eagle-eyed among you will notice my longest estimated AF day was today. Still nothing. Going slowly insane over it! Have already let off steam giving the detail on another thread (www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1261927-Period-late-pregnancy-test-negative) so won't duplicate but.... Arggghhhh!

LittleWhiteHeart · 20/07/2011 13:14

Good luck to all you ladies on the bus approaching your AF date (I've noticed there's a few) ... let's hope old Mother Nature swaps her little gift this month for a much more welcome one!

LWH x

CosmicMouse · 20/07/2011 15:02

I'm not feeling very positive. I've tested (early! naughty Mouse!) yesterday (10dpo) and today at 11dpo and both BFN. I still have a little bit of hope as I tested neg at 11dpo, but pos at 12dpo with DD. But I feel like AF is on her way. I was super grumpy yesterday, which is always a sign for me. And today I feel crampy :(

This was our first cycle, so I know we would have been bloody lucky to fall on the first try. But it doesn't stop me feeling a bit low.

LittleDragon · 20/07/2011 15:30

Hi all

Can I join? Me and DP have just decided to start TTC. It'll be our first child together but we each have a child from past relationship.

LittleDragon (25) TTC#2 CD4 AF due Aug 11 (ish)

LancyLass · 20/07/2011 17:46

... And looks like I'm off the bus! AF just started. But not feeling down. Only 2nd month TTC and I was worried I have a short luteal phase, but made it to 10dpo so there is some hope! Good luck everyone. I'm off to investigate Vit B and increasing your luteal phase...

LancyLass · 20/07/2011 18:19

And to add insult to injury, the cat's just pooed and now I've no excuse not to clean it out of the litter tray Wink. Thought I'd make you smile as I wave you off into the distance...

lalabaloo · 20/07/2011 19:45

Sorry about AF Lancy Good luck next month!

Poppyjen · 20/07/2011 19:52

Sorry about AF Lancy and sending lots of positive vibes your way cosmicmouse - it's not over yet Smile

Lancy - just to add my cat just did that too and DH not home from work until late so can't even whine "but its your turn....." at him. Damn.

CD16 and no ovulation yet for me according to OPKs and temps. How dull, ho hum.

Imustbecrazy26 · 20/07/2011 20:09

Evening all,

right a quick question as im not using ovulation sticks or any thing just keeping an eye on cm i thought i was over my fertile days as cm seemed to vanish but just got loads of ewcm, so could i of got it wrong?????

180 · 20/07/2011 20:25

Evening all, just checking in as it's nearly the beginning of my activity for this month Wink. Good to see lots of familiar faces, hope we'll all be in luck this month.

Crazy, not sure as mine did the same thing and I kept thinking all sorts was going on and was pretty much convinced I was up the duff. My plan for this month is not to get too obsessed with the whole thing, though I did lose a couple of pounds through not drinking which was fab!

Imustbecrazy26 · 20/07/2011 20:37

180 ive not managed to convince myself im up the duff only in to my 3rd day of the 2ww so will jump on dp later just to make sure!!!! Grin

geezakiss · 21/07/2011 05:00

Hope everyone doesn't mind me hoping on. I done 4 pregnancy tests today, all positive, LMP was 26th June so not due my period til the weekend. Am very excited but very nervous about doing the tests so soon and that it will all go wrong and then I'll be gutted. Fingers crossed.
