Aw pants BQ but take heed from wise words 2cm is a good start, it could all go quick from here, my top tip is to walk alot, particuarly up and down the stairs, its meant to really help progress labour, think i walked miles round our hospital trying to get things moving!

Hugs to barbie and Dolly, hopefully your little brave girl is all recovered and in your arms now having a big cuddle, give her a kiss and tummy tickle from me

Monkey really sorry to hear things arent great but glad you got the paperwork sorted, even though you are still facing another delay. Sad I feel really guilty that im pregnant, I would hate to think our happiness might be your sadness, but totally understand if it is. It will happen for you, remember that. I think cos we were trying for Summer since 2007, and she was already our 5th pregnancy when she finally came, that we just didnt want too wait too long for the next one, as well as me being 37 next birthday!

Curly yay missed ya! I really hope to meet up with you guys too and hopefully you will both be preggers too by then!

to everyone else, Summers just stirring from a huge nap after her jabs, 3 diff injections, poor sausage screamed the place down, broke my hormonal heart. Need to give her lots of cuddles

barbie1 · 20/06/2011 16:13

Just back, 12 hours later....one tired baby, one tired one, and one lovely daddy who looked after his two girls.

Never, ever want to go through that again, no water prof mascara could hold up well enough!

I will come back tomorrow and post more, hopefully bq will be in the last stages of labour by then too Wink

Thanks for all your text, no signal in the hospital to reply, sorry. They were very much appreciated Smile

VJay · 20/06/2011 16:55

so glad you are all home now Smile xx

Barbie Sending huge hugs to dolly (and you of course) you do realise that now you will be my grommets expert? Smile So glad it's all over and done for you so quickly and hope Dolly is on the road to recovery and smiling lots even as I type Smile Will be really interested to know if it helps with the sleeping?
Bq Bugger Sad How mean is your body to get you all excited and then do that to you Shock Good luck for the induction tomorrow if things don't get going again in the meantime x
Cupcake Did you get your photo done with the new shoes? I remember it seemed like such a milestone, just you wait til he's zooming around without the walker, it opens a whole world of new trouble! Wink
Monkey Do fill us in when you get tired, it will probably do you good to get it all off your chest
lbm Glad your feeling better Smile
Curly You snuck that little gem in "we're officially trying too" Grin
4ever Sad jabs Sad

Thanks for all the comments it is good to know that other people would have done the same thing and tried to avoid the op, it makes me feel slightly better Smile Another horrendous nights sleep in the Buddha household, DH has started to call the spare bed "his bed" as he spends so much time in it lately and E just wants to sleep attached to me, he even puts himself into position and pulls my arm round so he can rest his head on the inside of my elbow and then pulls my hand across his tummy to cuddle him - little bugger if he wasn't so cute I'd just move him! Grin I'm sure he just pulls at his ears so I feel sorry for him Wink Grin

VJay · 21/06/2011 07:38

Awwww Buddha E sounds so cute, I let out a big awwww when I read how he snuggles up to you SmileSmileSmile

Bq I'm thinking of you today Smile

Ajay slept in his cot bed for the first time last night. All we did was just take the side off his cot to trial it with a mind to convert it properly soon. He slept all night Smile he did fall out once but I just popped him back in and he carried on sleepingSmile.y boy is getting big, he's 21 and a half months now Shock

Today is the longest day the nights start drawing in from now Confused

4everhopeful · 21/06/2011 16:29

Barbie so pleased all went well and you are safely home. Bless your DH. Hope your all having lots of snuggles and treats today.

BQ hope you have your little baking prince wrapped up in your arms as i type, either that or your pushing!

Vjay my dad would get all sad that from today the nights draw in, im the same, love the long Summer evenings.

Buddha at the description of Es cuddles, bless him.

Wobbly weeble central here though, nightmare getting DH results for his blood screening pre treatment from his drs, between us think we have phoned about 10 times today. Still not even got a date for the actual treatment, though spoke to the consultant who reckons it should be ok with the lab now. Just waiting for the call. Stress i dont need. Confused
On a good note Summers been great stopping bf, just kept saying 'boobys all gone' and she hasnt even gone for em bless her. Drinking lots of extra milk or juice tho, wonder how much she actually got from me! Hmm

littlebellsmum · 21/06/2011 22:24

well done, summer Good girl - hopefully it won't be too long before you are doing it all again Smile
budha I too loved e's cuddle description, just lovely. You need to try and remember these

barbie so pleased that you are all home safe. Hope Dollys had a good day today

vjay Loving Ajay in the cotbed. Hes getting too big too quick

CurlyLikesShortShorts · 22/06/2011 06:29

Helloooo. Have been lurking on phone but it won't post when I try need to download the app :)

bq I hope things have moved on apace and that you now finally have that gorgeous baby to hold :) keep us posted if you can.

Big hugs to brave dolly and barbie. I hope this is an end to all that ear pain for the little love xxx

4ever Breathe lovely and just keep telling yourself it will be okay. I hope they sort you out soon it's so unfair to have you under so much stress right now. We'll get in the barbiemobile if necessary to sort out yours and monkeys docs Grin big hugs and hairstrokes for your poor wee girl. Jabs are nasty.

How are u doing monkey? Are u okay lovely?

cupcake I'm always up for tennis. Shall we use your tennis court or mine? Mind you, I dont want to make those lads and lasses at Wimbledon feel inadequate Wink

Well done vjay :) I was wondering when they move to a bed. What a clever boy to sleep through falling out of bed though Grin

Buddha I am nothing if not subtle Wink E sounds so adorable. A friend read me out this great article recently about a mothers love. I must get a link and send to you all :)

Waves to lbm

Ah curlygirl has made her intentions known so I best be off. Big hugs to everyone and especially bq. And mermaid and Jools where are you lovelies?

cupcakefairy · 22/06/2011 09:26

barbie well done on getting through monumentally tough day
Curly my courts are booked for today, kate & william wanting a bit of practice..how's tomorrow? Grin

BuddhaBelly · 22/06/2011 11:14

Vjay How did the second night in the cot bed go? We've been thinking about moving E into his own bed in the hope he might sleep better Hmm not sure that access to roam around his nursery will induce sleep though Grin
4ever Between you and Monkey people seem determined not to give you a smooth ride! Fingers crossed that they get back to you asap to stop you stressing, it's not good for you or lo
Curly I shall look forward to that link Smile
BQ I really hope things have moved forward for you and your busy gazing adoringly at your newbie Smile
Barbie How's Dolly doing?

barbie1 · 22/06/2011 11:42

VJay · 22/06/2011 11:59

Any news on bq?

Buddha it wasn't a good night last but only because hes got a cold. He does play in his room when we put him to bed but when we check on him later he's managed to get himself back into bed and fall asleep Smile

bakingqueen · 22/06/2011 15:51

Hi quick update from me bakingprince born this morning by emergency c section all very panicked and now just exhausted will try proper post when I get home

4everhopeful · 22/06/2011 16:22

Ahh lurked for news and there it is! Grin Massive congratulations to the bakingfamily! Hope you recover well and look forward to details! Grin

Very struggling today, sobbed most of the way through Summers 2hr nap with frustration at still not getting a date for treatment.. Angry After crying down the phone to the scatty secretary i think she may finally be pulling her finger out and pushing a bit harder with the lab. Shame she didnt do that when i first called a wk ago. Hmm Freaking out, will be 6wks on tues and thats meant to be the cut off. Every day longer i wait is another day my stupid body could be attacking this little life inside me. Why cant it just be simple. Sorry for rant.

barbie1 · 22/06/2011 16:27

congratulations bakingqueenfamily!!!! Love to know the name when you get a minute.

I thought i didnt have any symptoms but Dh pointed out that i was in bed at 8pm last night and asked why i was lying on the bathroom floor when he was bathing Dolly Blush, i crawled back into bed at 9am this morning when d had her first nap...i just feel so groggy! Not complaining though, all good signs, right? Hmm

buddha The operation wasnt nearly as bad as i thought i would be. The worst thing was trying to make Dolly fast from dinner time the evening before until her op at 9am. So not easy. She managed to find my drink beside the bed and had a sip before i could stop her and then in the car on the way to the hospital she found a stray quaver in her car seat Blush (yes, before she was born i did say i wouldnt allow her food in the car!! ha ha)

I had to tell the hospital because i wouldnt be able to live with myself had something gone wrong. We were then bumped down the list as a precaution.

They put a sleeping tablet up her bum to relax her, i was weeping in the bathroom at this stage. After 5 mins of screaming she went all calm, and was just smiling at everyone...she looked pissed! She kept trying to kiss us both but missed Smile it was nice to see her all relaxed and she didnt bat an eyelid when they did some test where as before she screamed blue murder.

Dh took her into the pre room, and then we had the 20 min wait....

After the op they told me they would wake her up and make her cry Hmm i was then allowed into recovery to retrieve my screaming baby from the nurses. She looked a little blue and was very dehydrated so they gave her saline. I then had to calm her and get her back to sleep while the meds wore off.I was very stressful as she was fighting me and kicking me Sad
After about 30 mins we were taken the the ward where we all got into bed and slept for 40 mins!

After she woke up so hungry, she ate 3 pieces of toast, a whole box of raisins one after another and licked the jam thingy that came with the toast, then munched through cereal and crisps Shock

We had to stay in all day to see how she recovered and then came home in time for bed. 7pm bed, woke at 6am. Full night no interruptions Smile

She is teething at the moment so cant say for sure its helped with the sleep, but will let you know in due course, she is however happier and more alert Smile

Any more question feel free to ask.

monkey I'm thinking of you still...

moon how you doing?

Right I'm done...it's 7.30pm and my bed is calling!

VJay · 22/06/2011 16:56

Huge congratulations bakingkingandqueen GrinGrinGrin

OP posts:
cupcakefairy · 22/06/2011 19:57

YAAAAAYYY for the baking family! Grin Sorry it ended up being panicked, that's never nice :( but so glad he is finally here...enjoy all those snuggles and screwed up eyes and tiny little curled up fingers. Can't wait to hear his name :)

barbie sounds like such an ordeal you poor things! So glad she's ok now though. And allow me to just take a minute to say how amazing it is to read 'full night no interruptions' from you...would you ever have imagined it a few months ago?? :)
And lol at saying no food in the car before they're born Grin we did the same and there are definitely more than a few breadstick crumbs in ds's carseat Grin

4ever so sorry you still don't have a date :( really hope the secretary with the wonky glasses comes through for you now. Obviously I have no medical knowledge so this might be complete rubbish, but just maybe after having had a successful pregnancy, your body might know not to attack this one. That's what I'd be clinging onto so I hope it helps a teeny bit x

My little monkey has decided he hates naps now Hmm last few days he's properly screamed his head off going down for them until I've had to go and get him :( when he would previously go down like a dream...still goes off fine for bedtime so a little confusing HmmConfused

BlueMoon1981 · 22/06/2011 20:12

congratulations bq you finally get your prince Grin so pleased for you all, you are a mummy now :)

barbie glad that dolly is on the road to recovery, loved how much she ate, she'll be fine in no time with an appetite like that! great that you have symptoms, always good :) i'm ok thank you, i'm plodding on.

4ever so sorry that you are having a crap time, i hate people who cant do their jobs properly, i mean they get paid to do this ffs! do we need to visit you in the barbiemobile and camp out on their doorstep?!

no time to stop but waves and hugs to everyone

QuestionableAntics · 22/06/2011 21:01

Just came on for a quick lurk (shouldn't be here) to see if BQ had any news.... Will attempt a quick catch up

Congratulations BQ Hope you make a quick recovery and home with your LO as soon as you can. So exciting! Smile Smile

barbie sounds horrendous, but really glad it's over with now and hopefully it will all be worth the stress. Glad (in a nice way!) that you are suffering with early pregnancy symptoms, long may it continue, well until around the 12 weeks mark anyway! Smile

Buddha I know everyone else has already reassured you, but I thought I would also chip in that I too would have taken the wait and see approach. If only we had a crystal ball to help us make these decisions it would make being a parent so much easier.

4ever hope you get this sorted soon, so annoying that they are making it difficult for you. Not sure if I have been on since you posted your news Confused but if not Congratulations! Lovely for you and Barbie to be at similar stages. Smile

Monkey Although my wait ws for different reasons, I can totally relate to the sheer frustration of having to wait and it being in someone else's hands. All you want is to see that BFP and have nothing put in your way, especially after everything you have been through, you do not deserve for 'paperwork' to be such an obstacle. Am so angry on your behalf. Hope you are ok

Louey Hope little Oscar is doing well and you are getting in to the swing of being a mum of 3!

cupcake Jude is just so gorgeous, he has those lovely squishable, chunky baby thighs that DS used to have.Smile You must be really proud of him.

moon Hope you are feeling better and get your results soon

blue Sorry your friend let you down, it can be really upsetting, especially if it has come out of the blue.

buddha I too did a at your description of E's cuddle Smile

neeko Bet you are on countdown to the summer hols...

vjay Can't believe Ajay is heading toward 2 now Shock

LBM Glad you're feeling better, must have been a bad cold for you to take to bed, know how rare that must be!

Curly Hope curly girl's teething pain has improved and she is now sorting a brand new tooth.

Right, that was whistle stop tour of the thread, hope I haven't missed anyone or anything, short on time so had to rely on my memory Hmm

20 week scan went really well, was such a relief. Now starting to feel stronger movements and DH even saw LO moving about last night Grin 'Bump' is definitely more bump like and I think it is actually starting to feel real now Smile

Got to go, The Apprentice is calling........

QuestionableAntics · 22/06/2011 21:06

blue no pun was intended Grin with my out of the blue comment!!

Neeko · 22/06/2011 22:04

Hello.
Huge congratulations to BQ and the brand spanking new Bakingfamily. Grin Grin Sorry it didn't go as planned, but he's here and I bet he's gorgeous. Smile

4ever Angry for you that you're so upset and frustrated and really hope that it's sorted soon. (A bit Envy of 2 hour naps though! Blush)

Buddha Not had a chance for a proper post but I would soooo have done what you did and waited. Really hope you get it all sorted soon. He sounds just delicious though. Total at the cuddle description.

QA Woohoo to a healthy 20 week scan and a visibly moving baby. So pleased for you.

Barbie My heart was in my mouth reading about the op. Brave girls (and Daddybarbie) Pleased to hear about your healthy symptoms. Sleep when you can. Very impressed by the modelling btw.

Curly I've got my pompoms out! Grin Nice to see you back to your posting best.

Louey Hope your new wee man is behaving.

Vjay Cot bed Shock No wonder you're broody! He really is growing too fast. Sad Hope everything else is well with you. I've still not done my shred DVD again Blush but have now lost 13lbs with WW, which makes almost 2 stones since we started together last August. Feel so much better.

Moon Hope you're hanging in there lovely. My heart went out to you with your lovely mummy comment to BQ. I can't wait til it's your turn.

Monkey Thinking of you lots. Hope you're hanging in there too and it won't be long til your hols.

Cupcake Hope the non-napping's just a blip and your boy behaves himself soon.

Blue How you feeling now? Hope you're packing's going well. I've started on my lists already even though we're not away til the 11th!Blush

Sorry if I've missed anyone. I'm struggling to keep up at the moment but (cue Cocacola ad) "Holidays are coming!" Grin

M had her nursery graduation today with gowns and everything. It was so cute and lovely Smile. I was a very proud mummy.
New Head appointed at work today so it will be all change next session.Confused I'm only working 3 days again so hoping to do my job and keep my head firmly below the parapet.
Exhausted. Fulltime for two weeks is killing me Grin
Night, night all.

littlebellsmum · 22/06/2011 23:23

Yay for the bakingprince, all here, all safe and having lots of cuddles, I bet. Rest while you can, BQ
4ever - it will be fine, it will be fine, it will be fine. That very clever body of yourd produced your lovely Summer and it will do so again. Especially as if crying doesn't work, we'll all go and visit the consultants office and demand that he treats you or he will have all of us to answer too Grin

Sorry - feel bad after superneekowhoworkstoohard did such a long post but I'm knackered. Having a bit of a week of it at work - all very exciting but all very knackering!

loueytb3 · 23/06/2011 03:52

Woohoo! GrinGrin Massive congratulations to BQ and welcome to bakingprince. Sounds as though it was traumatic - hope you are recovering ok BQ and enjoying the first few hours with your little boy.

Will try and get back on and do a proper post soon. DH back at work so I'm doing all the feeds/expressing/sterilising - not a lot of time for anything else. Have a breastfeeding counsellor coming later on today to help with bfing and to have a look at the tongue tie. Hopefully she will be able to say whether that's causing the problem or if it's positioning.

barbie1 · 23/06/2011 04:16

goodmorning louey Hope all goes well with the midwife and there is a simple solution for you. I'm in awe of you managing 3 boys, i can just about manage one girl and a tiny bean Grin
Went to bed early last night, but couldn't sleep Hmm Why is that??? I am caught in a vicious sleep deprived cycle...another symptom perhaps? Desperately trying to convince myself its all going to be ok at sundays scan......

cupcakefairy · 23/06/2011 09:22

Morning ladies :)

Hi neeko...glad you are back to normal 3 days soon...in awe of you working full time! at M's graduation!! That is so cute!

louey fab you have the bfing counsellor coming, they are ace. Everyone at my bfing support group used to say that their babies always fed perfectly in front of the counsellors and then misbehaved at home Grin...they do have a magic touch. Hope you get some encouragement and make some headway.

Hi moon :) glad you're feeling ok at the mo.

4ever anymore news?

qa yay for a good 20 week scan, that's fab :) you're not finding out the flavour then?
Apprentice was so good last night wasn't it! Won't give too much away incase people haven't watched yet but grrrrr to Melody!!

ds has just gone down fine for his nap so fingers crossed it was a 3-day phase!
