Here we are a new spruced up greenhouse

barbie give your lovely dolly a hug from us. Hope she's through the worst. Her friend , babybelle is not popular here - she moved in with her brother and sister over the weekend and has spent far too much time in our bed - joined us at 3am and wriggled and kicked and winged all night.....

So a bit tired today. And at the risk of a self indulgent post, I've had a shit day today with the older dc's. BB was at nursery and it's their last day of holidays, so we could do some big kid stuff. So, I had a few jobs to do but inbetween then, thought we could make their favourite food, so some craft stuff and play some games. Also needed to make a costume for DS for a party he was going to. Well before breakfast, they were already on a warning and ds was in his room by 9. DD and DS were both in their room by 11 and we were all in tears... . I was hacked off as I had this lovely day planned and to my mind they had spoilt it. However, when I thought about it, it was obvious that what I thought would be fun, wasn't the same as what they thought. However neither would tell me what they would rather do. DS said it had been a great day and he liked it all ( despite getting involved in none of it!). DD did list her ideal day, followed by complete meltdown in a coffee shop and she was asleep by 6pm ( unheard off).

It was a bit of a lightbulb for me but also pretty disapointing in lots of ways - I so rarely get them to myself with out LO and was really looking forward to today. Also sad to find out that they don't like doing what I like doing , or at least they didn't today.

So, for all of you with littlies - make the most of them before they get minds of their own!

LBM - sorry you had a day with your older DC yesterday... The best laid plans.. Maybe it was needed so you can all reboot what your deem collectively as a 'fun day' . Can relate tho' as we've had special days planned and had them scuppered by whining/spoilt brat behaviour

Barbie - you must have been at your wits end worrying about Dolly . Why do these things happen when you're flying solo?... So relieved they didn't have to hospitalise her. Both of mine have had croup and the cough is something else... Can you get a humidifier for her room or would that not work with the air conditioning ?

4evercakegoddess - love your photos and jeez Summer is gorgeous and getting so tall and 'wee girl' like . When did that happen??! Time for you to have another me thinks . Glad you all had a fab day x

Vjay - did Ajay stay asleep?? So very sorry to hear of your bereavements . Have you told Cjay yet? What are your plans for the Summer hols? Our schools finish on 24th June mega early this year. DS1 has his P1 induction on Tuesday - tissues at the ready.

Louey - hope your first lunch trip out with Oscar went well. Aaah, those 'sleeping all day' early days... Cherish them x

Hey to everyone else. I'm in full lying low mode after birthday week. It was fantastic and DH was a star but I'm glad I've got a couple of quiet weekends lined up . My favourite present was a beautiful necklace from my boys from Lily Belle via my fav shop. Silver chain, three charms, one with each boys initials and one with guardian angel wings "to look over those you love (and those you lost but never forget)". Very apt I thought .

Phew, another day done and dusted. It's not much fun being housebound...

lbm dolly like her cuddle, thank you. Poor you, i really feel for you...why are kids like that, i know they don't intentionally try to hurt you but it does I dread the day Dolly doesn't want to do stuff with me or tells me that i am too 'uncool' to be seen with her... I will take your advice and treasure all these lovely moments, even her drawing on the wall and painting the dog with my new lipgloss and highlighter will seem endearing

blue Your photos on fb look amazing, your week of parties seem like a hoot, not surprised you are lying low for a while, just looking at the pics exhausted me! Loving your necklace, how lovely and thoughtful are your boys?, and such good taste too
A humidifier wouldn't work because of the ac, the shower does the trick although last night it didn't get so bad that we had to do it. I have just read that croup can be reoccurring, i hope it isn't the case for us.

I got Dolly weighed yesterday, she is 17lb, such a tiny little dot...i would love her to meet summer, i think she would stand head and shoulders taller than Dolly!

Vjay I'm assuming that P4 is primary 4, in which case, he's in the same year as DD1. And yes, I can't believe how time is flying - in our terminology, she's going into juniors in September and it seems only yesterday that we were doing her inductions!

blue I'm with the others - surely you will need a huge rest after the weekend festivities, after all you are now officially old , said by one who got there first

barbie it's weird but believe it or not, you will look back on the drawing days and think they were lovely and , believe it or not, easy ! We were looking at some old video of DD1 when she was about jo's age - so cute and you forget so easily. Encouraged me to get out my video camera again to try and catch BB with her block trolley. Her favourite game is walking up the lounge, being turned at the end and doing it all over again, preferably with one of us crawling along!! Shes also taken to crawling on her hands and feet, rather like a spider. Methinks, she will be on them properley too soon.

Got to go - a world of work and tidying awaits me.

Barbie Poor Dolly. Hope she's over the worst of it. Why does it always happen when DH is away. Mine is in Berlin this week and I've been off work today with a stomach bug. Feeling much better tonight but this control-freak doesn't like her plans being upset.

DD1 has her inductions on Mon and Tues and I feel really emotional about it, while she can't wait. Had a meeting at school last night and had to write a message to be read to here on the first proper day . Have bought most of the uniform now too, including the blazer. It's all becoming a bit real. Have to do one for DD1 no which i've been putting off as we didn't have a digital camera for her first couple of months so I'll need to scan - boring!

Will get the rest when we get back from Majorca. I'm feeling very emotional about it all although am enjoying the thought of having two 'Benj only' days once his brother is at school.. At the moment our day is cut in half with pre-school pick up etc. Will miss my PFB though

Soooo glad its Friday. Isaac is of to the caravan in St Andrews with Granny and Papa so B has DH and me to himself. great timing as its all been about his brother and his birthday. Really going to soil him and give him solo shots on the new garden trampoline . Have the season finale of Grey's to watch tonight and going to get "The Kids are alright" and "The social Network" out on DVD for Sat/Sun. Add some red wine, mix with curry, sprinkle with chocolate and I'm all set

Pokes head guiltily into the thread, apologizes repeatedly to our lovely monkey and moon for getting a bfp when it should rightly be them not me...

Im petrified to say the least, i found out last sunday. Only told dh last night as i wanted to see his face.

Wednesday night i had some spotting so went to the docs yesterday and obviously to early to scan so had bloods done. It came back as 400, which is 4 weeks, which is just about where i am. Have to go back for second bloods tomorrow and wait until the afternoon for result.

Looking back at our old thread my bloods where in the region on 6,500 at the same time? Although im not sure how that could be because i had the blood test taken 9 days after bfp last time. Trying not too read too much into it, what will be will be.

Now if only the weekend would hurry up and it be three pm tomorrrow, or even better 3pm in 8 weeks!

Bloods came back as 1150 (give or take a few, so relieved it was over 800 i forgot to listen )

4ever just looked at your pics- I can't belieeeeeve how grown up biscuit is! Jude only just started standing unaided on his birthday weekend and hasn't taken any steps yet. We got him a wooden trolley (like BB's lbm!) and he suddenly went crazy running around with it in my ILs' garden, it was sooo funny. Has definitely helped his confidence with standing but as I say, no walking yet. Summer is gorgeous, and well done on her cake it's amazing!!
