4everhopeful · 17/06/2011 09:43

Ooops Iv started an incorrect rumour! Blush Think cos I called cupcake my pregnant buddy, but i meant from last time!

Gracie thank you and sooo good to see you! Grin I swear i was actually thinking about you this morning, wondering how you are, and also our other MIAs! Hows your gorgeous girl?

Mornin Vjay? Have we tempted you yet? Wink Also thinking about you as will now have to get Summer sleeping in her own room in next few months, and as I mentioned when you said about Ajay going in a bed, think we will bypass the cot part of her cot bed and turn it straight into a bed, that way she can at least get out and come into us if she needs too! Better finally stop our sleepy BF too! Blush

Iv continued to test daily and lines are getting a bit darker and quicker but still Hmm Also thanks to louey initiating my googling about our treatment Iv found the only other clinic that does it the consultant there was a director at ARGC apparently. We really need it done by about the 28th when ill be 6wks, luckily they prioritise if your already pregnant. The portland consultant called yesterday and has a meeting with the lab on Monday so will hang tight in the hope we can stick with them, but at least there is now a back up plan, its all gonna be a bit of a hectic rush though. Confused At least the ball is rolling, yesterday DH went to the GP and hospital to get his blood screening tests which have to be done as its a transfusion (his white blood cells injected into me). What a palava! Confused Going through all this and the faint lines made me worry its even viable! Am debating getting a scan just to see things doing what they should be at this stage, even though heartbeat wouldnt be seen til 6wks. Wierdly we went to visit our lovely sonographer at our EPU and our consultant, I think, on the day we conceived! She tx afterwards to say how lovely to see us and I said we'd def pop back before I became a patient again! She will be well shocked!

cupcakefairy · 17/06/2011 10:08

Haha, stop spreading rumours about me 4ever Grin..no i am not pregnant! though like vjay i am feeling a little clucky with all these bfps flying about! did any1 see obem usa last night? rubbish compared to ours!

4Ever fingers crossed for portland but glad there's a backup.
hi gracie! :)

Oh my goodness 4ever absolutely bloody fantastic news Grin Grin I am so pleased for you and Barbie you can weeble together! Grin Also brilliant news that you can get your treatment somewhere else as well, so at least you can relax about that bit and just weeble wobble about all the other worries and stresses that we unfortunately endure! Smile
Barbie Nice try on the "join me" front but unfortunately I need to sort my body out first, in too much pain to contemplate another pg and being 40 next year is not much of an incentive either I feel so old (not sleeping doesn't help!) "Twin watch" would be amazing! Can't wait for the 26th. Hope you get Dolly referred soon to the consultant with her ears, I know exactly what you're both going through and it's not good Sad
Moon More fantastic news that all is looking good, how are you feeling today?
Monkey Sad I'm so sorry to hear about your IUI/IVF problems after everything you've been through you deserve a break Sad but unfortunately you just get another problem - pants Angry Sad
Louey Stop showing off and posting such indepth posts you are putting me to shame Wink Glad to hear that operation fattening up oscar is working Smile
Vjay Still feeling broody?? Smile

Last week E had his third hearing test (failed two previously) he failed this one and they have told me that his hearing has detoriated considerably since his last test in December. I feel hugely guilty as when we went to consultant in Feb I asked him to defer the operation by 6 months to see if he would grow out of it (which is common for the under 2yr olds) since then we've had more and more ear infections, usually every 3-4 weeks and now this hearing loss. Also the hearing centre said he must have permenant earache as his ears are always full of fluid, red and bulging Sad I feel like such a bad mother Sad Good news is that we are going back to the consultant a week today and will probably be referred for grommets asap, then they will assess if there has been any permanent damage.

bluesatinsash · 17/06/2011 13:10

Friday catch up...

Fantastic news 4ever SmileSmile. Great that you and barbie are medium panters together tho' B may soon be on the big pants bench if the twin rumour is anything to go by Wink. Really hope your treatment gets agreed and administered so that's one less thing to worry about. May your pg may wobble free

Buddha so Sad to read about E's ears. Please don't feel guilty you delayed hoping you could avoid an operation, we would all do that. Hopefully once the grommits are fitted, E will be pain free, sleep better and family harmony will regin.

Monkey gutted for you Sad. Have you an update on the paperwork? Your frustration is palpable and its just not fair Sad. Really hope they pull their finger out and your original date stands.

Barbie - hope you get some answers at your appointment for Dolly's ears. and roll on 26th for reassurance xx

cupake - lovely photos of Jude. What a wee blondie and sooooo cute. Love the action shot one - perfect toddler moment captured Smile

Vjay - I hear you sister on the broody bench Wink. FB is awash with newborns at the moment but, repeat, a newborn is for life, not just to sniff and stare at in their "up to 10lbs" baby grow..

Sorry not been on for ages. Have had a monumentally shit week having been let down badly by a good friend Sad. May not be around much as counting down to Majorca (we fly out on 30th) but will lurk on phone xx

bakingqueen · 17/06/2011 14:10

Congratulations to 4ever so pleased for you nice to have some more medium panters

Sorry but self indulgent post coming up am now 6 days overdue all I can do ois cry booked for induction in 4 days time don't really want to be induced but so scared that something will go wrong if baby does not come soon can feel him kicking away but still so worried so scared that I have got this far and things could still go wrong just wish that I could have this baby soon but no signs of it happening. So sorry to off load but know you lovely people will understand the hormonal irrational me

BuddhaBelly · 17/06/2011 14:58

BQ Of course you can rant, I think you've done really well to last until now without having a good moan! Of course you want to meet your little one, it's all you have thought about for the last 9 months and you are bound to be anxious about being overdue, I bet you are getting fed up of people ringing or texting asking if there's any news too! Try and relax and we'll do a labour dance for you to try and tempt lo out Smile
Blue Sorry to hear you've had a cr*p week, keep smiling and keep thinking of your lovely holiday Smile

Neeko · 17/06/2011 15:24

Congratulations 4ever Grin Grin

Huge hugs to Monkey, Buddha, Blue and BQ

Waves to everyone else. In a rush sorry.

VJay · 17/06/2011 15:43

bq rant away tis what we are here for. I totally understand your frustration so you have my full sympathy xx

Buddha I would have waited for an op too if there was an inkling things could improve, and they may well have done, so don't be too hard on yourself Smile

blue sorry you've been let down by your friend, I hope it can be resolved.
I'm going to put a broodypants space on the list at the next update Grin

barbie how is twin watch going? And 4ever how's the blood stuff going are you any further forward with it today?

monkey and moon I've been thinking of you both.

Gracie it's nice to know you're still lurking, and how is mrskate? I was thinking of her the other day.

Hi rushingneeko schools nearly out. Two more weeks for us up here yay!

OP posts:
loueytb3 · 17/06/2011 20:20

bq sending you labour vibes, hopefully you won't have to be induced. Hang in there and keep us posted!

Buddha you are not a bad mummy. Most ear problems clear up before they are 2 (Isaac's did) and you did the right thing in hanging on. Hope you get it sorted soon.

vjay I will join you in the broody camp, but this is it for me Can you twist DHs arm to go for no 3? Grin

blue sorry youve had a crap week and have been let down by your friend. Wine for you tonight methinks.

4ever very glad you have a plan b....

barbie hope D's appointment goes ok tomorrow.

O still has jaundice and has been referred back to hospital for some kind of screen next Weds. Also, I think he might have a tongue tie which would explain the problems we are having bfing. Isaac had one too but it wasn't diagnosed until he was 2.5 by which point they wouldn't do anything about it. On the plus side, he is now nearly 5lbs!

littlebellsmum · 17/06/2011 20:50

I go awol for 2 days and theres another BFP - congratulations, my former pregnant buddy, 4ever Lovely news, the lovely Summer will be a big sister!!

I think I might have been wrong - rather than three this time, maybe it will be 4 or even more if vjay and blue have too much of the Wine

Ladies - I so know what you mean, as BB gets bigger and doing more, I want to know where my babies gone. Luckily she's a really cuddly girl, unlike my older two, so she's not gone yet.

BQ The Prince is on his way. No one wants to be induced but if it means that your boy gets here sooner and safely, surely thats a good thing? Remember,4ever mammouth induction when she was the happiest labouring lady ever known

Love to everyone else, esp the flabbyBarbie - having met you, I bet you still look gorgeous. The 26th will come soon - go and use your daughters sand for a few days!

Got to go - mad week, v tired and am getting another cold.

4everhopeful · 18/06/2011 10:28

Hello all.. Just a quickie but guilty at my lack of personals when you have all been so lovely! Thanks again for all your lovely congratulations posts and tx! The support from you all is so moving and special, it means so much that you are here for my wobbles again.. Grin

Barbie good luck today with the Dolly at the docs the poor lil sausage, do hope you find some answers. How you weebling? Not too bad i hope?

Buddha so sorry to hear E has been suffering too but echo the others that any of us would rather wait to see their babas recovered withou the need for an op. Hope all goes ok with the specialist. What is it with our emmsys babies ears!?

Blue sorry to hear you have had a crap wk, and your friend let you down. Tis a horrible feeling. Hope you had lots of Wine and cuddles with your boys last night.

Cupcake sorry to have not yet said how absolutely gorgeous Jude is and in fabulous your cake looked! That boy will be walking pronto mark my words! Wink

Monkey have you got any further with resolving the delay? Im happy to jump in the barbiemobile with the others and get in kickass mode! Seriously tho, just harassment with daily calls and emails may help get your point across and some action? Like barbie i feel a little guilty that I have this bfp when it should be you next..

Louey you are good with your fab posts so soon! Hope Oscars jaundice clears soon but great about his weight gain, tho bet he is such a cute tiny dot, you must post pics for us non fb'ers!

Neeko thanks so much for bein lovely, glad your reports are out the way now. Countdown to the hols eh? Have you enjoyed some H days yet?

Moon when do you get the official results from your test? Sorry i wasnt there to hold your hand, and also feel guilty to get this bfp before another more deserving lady. Do hope you are ok lovely brave lady

Lbm my lovely former pregnant buddy, hope you get a relaxing weekend to recover from your cold. Trashy mags and tea and Biscuit for you!

Vjay another one on count..

4everhopeful · 18/06/2011 10:51

Silly phone and limited space, on countdown for an I phone when my contract is up in July! Now where was I?

Yes, Vjay counting seconds to those school hols eh? Absolutely love the idea of a broodypants bench! Must update my bfp 15th june, 10 days after barbie sooo close! We havent had a simultaneous labour on here yet have we!

Talking of which, BQ so sorry to hear you are still waiting, understand it must be really frustrating but honestly an induction is not too bad, and mine lasted 5 days! But fear not i was 2wks early so if your already late im sure it wouldnt be that long, as lbm said i do think i was the happiest labouring lady ever, as had dreamt about it for so long! Hold onto what the end result is, it will all be worth the wait i promise you that!

Right iv a sleepy looking lady here so better dash, my weebling this morning is a result of googling as im still bf occasionally, but just realised as taking aspirin & cyclogest must stop immediately, does say low risk, but also apparently not good with history of mc, Confused it is only a comfort/cuddles thing now, and obviously planned to stop but wanted to gradually wean over next few wks rather than go cold turkey, also Summer has her jabs on Monday so want to have bf for back up.. Confused The next few days will be fun! Hmm

GracieGirl · 18/06/2011 14:44

Hello all!

Sorry I got confused and thought Cupcake was pregnant too!

4ever we have had a simultaneous labour, me and Curly both had our girls on the morning of 5th Feb 2010.

Barbie how's Dolly getting on?

I still see lots of MrsKate, she's doing great.

Quick update on my life..... My DD is 16 months now, walking, talking and getting into all sorts of mischief!! She's fab!!! Still breastfeeding (just morning and bedtime now) though I keep thinking it's maybe time to give it up soon, DD doesn't think so though!
I'm definitely a candidate for your broody pants group, DH isn't though, there's always some reason regarding his job why we shouldnt have another baby just yet! I'm working two 12.5 hour shifts a week, DD goes to nursery one day a week and my Mum has her the other. If I have another baby I'll probably be a SAHM, as not sure I can juggle 2 babies with my Mum, especially as my brothers wife is 24 weeks pregnant ( I'm going to be an auntie!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grin ) and I imagine my Mum will end up helping them too. DH is still working away, and will continue for 2-3 years.

barbie1 · 18/06/2011 16:11

Good evening!

lbm Flabbybarbie? Shock Don't you mean fabbybarbie Grin. Yep I'm fat, went to the pool earlier and you could tell people were thinking is she fat or pregnant, i stayed under the water to hide myself until i had the wrinkles of a 90 year old and had to get out Blush Hope the cold by-passes you and you remain healthy and not too busy.

blue in the history of this thread i dont think i have ever heard you sound down Sad your friend must of done something pretty major to upset you. I hope you are ok.

baking induction wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, hell who am im trying to kid, it sucked...but it meant Dolly was born a few days earlier and i was in the right place and didn't have to worry about going into labour in the middle of marks and spencer Wink I hope it all happens naturally before..fingers crossed x

gg so lovely to see you back. Whooo hooo to becoming an auntie, i bet once the lo arrives your Dh will melt and you might be able to join us on the bench again Wink Grin

BlueMoon1981 · 18/06/2011 16:16

Omg another bfp congratulations 4ever Grin and hoping you get all your treatments sorted out so you can relax a little. Hmm so who is number 3 then Hmm it definitely isnt me, I'm waiting to ovulate atm.

I am feeling loads better after my hsg, I felt awful on Tuesday/Wednesday I have no idea how I got through a whole day at work, could barely walk and was shuffling round the office like an old granny. Dont know how I drove either, some things you just get on with dont you. 4ever we wont get the official results til the end of July when we see the consultant again, they dont rush around here....

Nice to see gracie popping in :)

barbie1 · 18/06/2011 16:18

louey i hope O is getting better? My friends lo had jaundice and had to have some baby sunbeds, complete with googles! I think he had three of them over a space of a few days and was back to his normal gorgeous self soon after. I have no idea about tongue tie but i hope everything is ok.

4ever i bet summer will make it easy for you to stop breast feeding, D was the worst kind but as soon as we told her what was happening and she picked out a new cup she was fine, in fact she has just drunk a full beaker of cows milk and asked for more Shock i never thought i'd see the day! How are you holding up...i just keep expecting today is the day it will be all over Hmm i hate this waiting game. Confused

barbie1 · 18/06/2011 16:21

moon hello my lovely...Glad you are feeling better Smile The end of july is in sight, but i know what you mean about not rushing things back in the uk.

BlueMoon1981 · 18/06/2011 16:24

Hi barbie :) I'm just glad I was nosey and asked the nurse, I waddled over to the screen and said ooh how cool is that, and she started explaining it all to me and said it looked normal, whilst I'm standing there with my bare arse hanging out of those stupid gowns with no backs! Grin

barbie1 · 18/06/2011 16:33

Grin well fingers crossed...it will be something simple like just having to take a tablet at a certain time or something!

barbie1 · 18/06/2011 17:34

Sorry i keep trying to write a big post but keep getting side tracked!

Dolly had an appointment with the ear specialist today, we have decided to go ahead with the grommets. She might grow out of it if we left it, but then again she might not. Normally by two ish they stop getting them so bad. Grommets should last at least 3 to 6 months and once they come out we will see if she is over the worse as she will be about 2 Shock then.

I'm nervous beyond belief, scared of watching my baby be wheeled down to the operating theatre Sad We have to go for bloods tomorrow and then to the hospital on monday, unlike the UK there is no waiting around here.

On a brighter note, at the doctors today we were approached by a lady who asked dolly and i (not dh, ha!) if we could do some modeling for them, the real model couldnt make it and they needed a mummy and baby to sit and play in the waiting room! We are going to be featured on the website and magazine etc for the medical group which is huge across the UAE. Grin As we were leaving the same lady came up and asked us if we would be interested in other stuff as she had plenty of work that we could do...look at milan, the barbiefamily are taking over the world! Grin Wink
