still not totally convinced as she couldnt confirm for sure as the baby didn't want too play, instead chose to yawn and turn it's back to us.

So there we have it, just have to sit tight until 4 weeks time and 20 week scan. Ho hum....

Feeling really rotten, infact had to ask dh to come home from work to have dolly, this cold is horrid and it's making my heart even worse.

barbie1 · 29/08/2011 16:13

Thanks girls, tis was a shock but now I think I will be disappointed at the next scan if she was wrong. Not telling anyone in rl, have decided to keep it a secret.

Mrs Kate, well done on first day at nursery, I sat outside crying waiting until I go go back and collect her!

Vjay, what are you watching at the flicks? 2 already? Sheeze that's gong too fast, I'm sure what ever cake you make will be lovely and delish!

4everhopeful · 29/08/2011 18:20

Aw barbie bless, a little blue one! Smile

littlebellsmum · 29/08/2011 19:07

Hello
Sorry, I've not been round for a while - the summer has been one mass packathon. Pack, go away, unpack, pack again to come home, unpack at home, then pack again, go away, unpack - you get the picture and I am pleased that we are nearly back to school. Just 2 more lots of unpacking to do, one little weekend repack and we will be through!!
I'm curently away with work, which sound much more lovely than it is as I am in Paris and have been since Saturday am. I don't have much formal stuff to do for the next 24 hours and so have spent the last 3 in bed, working on my computer. Obviously could be out enjoying Paris but as I'm on my own and the weather isn't good, sitting in bed, looking at the room service menu is about as good as it gets. I will also have lots of time to catch up on the news of the summer and even (wait for it), manage to do some personals!! Hurrah for work Grin
hurrah for barbie boy!! I know exactly what you mean about being shocked though, when my ds was born, I kind of had to adjust to it just because I'd had a girl and knew how they worked. Now, boys - different beasts, wired differently, not to mention the extra bits in the nappy ( I always felt I was intruding iyswim !). However, based on my one ds, he is much more straightforward than his sister, what you see is what you get and much easier to understand what is going on and a very lovely bundle of noisy, active boyness. Sorry you are feeling so rough ? I?ve got a bit of a cold too which is pretty unpleasant but at least mine isn?t combined with pregnancy, palpitations and a very hot country. Oh and all the sorting to come home that you?re in the middle of doing? And your poo story was really funny - we had an interesting poo one, one night last week. BB is playing in the kitchen quite happily, stands up and does the red face nappy fill. As it?s nearly bathtime, I ignore it and carry on chating. BB then is sat on the floor crying and I see a little pile next to her and initially thought she?d been sick. But oh, no, not sick, it was a no 2, that was forcing itself out of the nappy. I then had to pick her up ? cue me covered in poo and had to wait for the water to heat up..
vjay has a night out. Enjoy!! Re cake - bake what you like, cover in loads of choclate and smarties. Everyone will love it!! I too can't believe that Ajay is nearly 2! Our first graduate is getting to be a big boy. Good news on the peanut butter ? tis a pain though as you need to be so careful. One of my bf?s dd has a nut allery and it makes bakerys a bit of a problem and the shops are so lazy and use the ? we can?t garuntee nut free? phrase far too often. I think Kinnerton chocolate is the wayforward as it is nut free and they do loads of character stuff
mrskate well done nursery is good. Before too long you will be looking at booking extra sessions so that you can get some more time to yourself or is that just me Blush
budhabelly good news on the waiting list for E and the cuddles bit sounds great. Make the most of them, my ds puts paid to the idea that boys are very cuddly as he has not let anyone kiss him in the last few years but hugs are just about acceptable!!
curly Hurray for small pants ? will be good for you and 4ever to be progressing together. I?m with you too, September was when summer was conceived and she?s on holiday, so I think she might get there first!! Yah, boo hiss to AF though ? she can stay away for the next 12 months if she wouldn?t mind. I think we need a formal list update if anyone is up for it?
4everlovely What can we say, except that it?s only 30 days and for half of them you will at least be in sunnier climes. Cry, if it helps, eat chocolate (even if it doesn?t help, it still tastes good Grin and slurp on any wine that Vjay leaves. Also, start packing for that lovely holiday of yours. 2 weeks of you, DH and your little girl ? how good is that going to be? And like Buddha, glad you can come here to offload ? we all do it at times.
thestrawberrytheif it wasn?t just the grandparents who took the plugs out, my dad was pretty good at it too. I?d completely forgotten about it though until you mentioned it!! Weather was really horrid on Friday pm ? we had to make the long drive north to take the older DC?s to grandmas and poor DH had a bit of a drive on his hands. Hope the sun came back to Cornwall and you?ve had a good weekend
MLS You and your lumps ! Sorry to hear about DD2?s changing lump ? must be very worrying and now DD1 has got in on the act. Tis funny when they get territorial ? the older 2 never did it but babybelle is a right one. If I?m cuddling her brother or sister, she will toddle over, climb up and push them off, often very crossly muttering all the time. Now, obviously she can?t talk yet but I know that it?s something like ? get off, this is my mummy and my lap and you, big lump are in the way?
Our school starters - blue your boy looks so lovely as does your big girl, neeko. Glad to hear that you are both through the first day and still smiling. It makes it so much easier when they are happy ? with DD1, she was so excited that I couldn?t cry. Keep an eye out though for when the tiredness hits. DD got so tired that at the end of her first week she was in tears and refused to be left and then I was in tears ?.
graciegirl Congrats on your BFP ? and to answer the bed question, DD1 went into a bed at 16 months as DS was on his way and we needed the cot back. DH built up the sides of the bed using MDF, leaving a gap in the middle and she went in, in her grobag as normal. She never budged or even tried to get out of bed until she was much, much older. Twas really easy, DS stayed in the cot until nearly 3 as we didn?t have a bed for him Grin. DD2 will be waiting on beds/ rooms etc
sabs I believe that it?s Eid tomorrow? Enjoy the celebrations with your Gran. I know it will be hard but sure that the lovely Saara will make it better for all of you. Can?t wait to see what outfit you have for her this year ? post pictures !!
cupcake hope you?re having a lovely time and eating lots of lovely food. When DD found out I was coming to Paris, she very solemly advised me to not eat any snails or frogs legs and stick to baguettes and pain au chocolate!!
And lastly, our lovely moon. Hope you are managing to hold it together in public and enjoy your dn and not crying too much at night? It is so hard ? I very clearly remember being given my 3 days old dn to hold, 2 weeks after my Mc and as I?m holding her being told that her name was Jessica, which is what we were thinking of for the LLO??. Bitter sweet is far too nice a description to use.
And so, after 2 pages of A4 catching up and going back until I was last in the thread, I?m going to sign off and do some work/ have a bath/ phone dh/order room service/ go internet shopping.
Oh, had to buy BB her first shoes at the weekend ? how grown up is that!! She?s moving into the toddlers room at nursery too next week ? my baby is growing far too quick?

Neeko · 30/08/2011 11:35

we're heading off again tonight to ILs for few days so just a quick catch up...

barbie massive congrats on a blue one!! Boys are just ACE you will love it. The climbing/active etc nature of boys prob won't shock you much either as you've had such an active girl already! They'll get up to such mischief together will be fab Grin hope you're not too stressed with move/heart stuff :(
I did go Shock when I saw you telling me to test, haha Grin (although dh and I did dtd while I was prob ovulating in France ConfusedBlush)

Neeko lush pics!! Love M in your dress

MLS :( at your lovely dds medical probs...really hope it all gets sorted and doesn't cause you too much stress.

moon massive massive hugs and hairstrokes to you my lovely. What lbm said brought a lump to my throat too; it is so so hard to watch people close to us get what we want so badly. We totally understand if you need space from here but come back soon.

Hope louey and qa are ok. Hi also to sabs, hope all the charity foundation stuff goes well for you, what a lovely thing to be doing. And happy Eid! I second the need for a photo of S please!!

Hi straw Wink I'm pretty sure I know who you are. How's the mood board??

Well done blue and Neeko on surviving the start of school. And bonjour to lbm in Paree!

Hi buddha, so glad you're on a waiting list now, fingers crossed it won't be long.

and Vjay yay to not having to do the challenge! Can imagine your relief.
You should so go for making a Postman Pat cake!! I believe in you. What if you made a Jess cake, just out of round cakes for body and head or something... I'm going to do some googling now!

...and packing right after!!

cupcakefairy · 30/08/2011 16:25

Just did a v quick google Vjay...what about a plain white (or whatever colour) cake but buying some PP figurines to put on top (which he can obviously keep after)...or decorating it with icing envelopes or something.
Ooh I can't wait to make more fun birthday cakes for ds :)

VJay · 30/08/2011 16:40

Thanks cupcake Smile the White cake with postman pat figures is a good idea. I've already planned Cjays cake, I'm going to make him a puffle cake it's a character off club penguin.

lbm I was exhausted after reading your post Grin how do you do it all with three dc's in tow? Gold star to you Smile

Just wanted to say happy Eid to Sabs as I've left it too late to text Smile

Loving the long post lbm Grin

Big waves to all you lovelies xxx

monkeybumsmum · 31/08/2011 11:13

That's lovely that it's a boy barbie, they are fab! Hope you're feeling better from the lurgy that you've had, and I'm sorry to hear about your heart problems Sad I hope your specialist manages to reassure you at your appointment - when is it exactly?

Moon my heart is breaking for you Sad I'm so sorry that you're having to go through all this, it is so very difficult. I can't believe how strong you've been with your sister's baby, I want to cry for you just thinking about it. You have been so brave. I hope it'll be your turn next xxx

Louey Lovely to hear that O is doing well, how's he doing on the smile front? There is so much to worry about (can't imagine it ever stops Grin) but from your descriptions he sounds just perfect Smile How is I doing? Has he started at his school yet? It must be tricky having L at a different school, are they near each other?

4ever, you are still so brave, and I'm sorry that I wasn't here to give support, chocolate or wine when it was needed. How are you doing now? Did AF start as you thought it might? Big hugs are winging their way to you lovely xxx

QA I reckon you must be around 33 weeks now? Wow!! Not long to go at all! Have you got everything ready? Really hope you doing okay...

Blue and neeko you must both be so proud of B and H starting school Smile It's such a huge milestone, and very emotional! Bet they both looked gorgeous in their uniforms Smile We visited Charlie's school to see his new classroom and meet his new teacher yesterday - I had a massive lump in my throat going past last years classroom, I can't believe my baby is a year older already. Hope I don't feel like this every September! He starts back tomorrow, so am meant to be labelling clothes and sorting stuff out now, oops! Blush

Cupcake Your holiday sounds like it was v restful, and the book sounds great. It's on our bookshelf waiting to be read, so it's now been bumped up the list! Have you seen the film? Where were you in France? Did you go to any nice restaurants? I just love French food, esp down south Smile

VJay good luck with the cake, yum yum! Ooh re Inbetweeners!! Would you recommend it? It certainly looks a cringeworthy film!

Strawbs am loving the new name! Is it true? Grin

A big hello to buddha and lbm and anyone else I've missed! I must be quick now as ds is on his way up the stairs and wants to drag me down to see a snail in the kitchen Hmm
Afm, what I thought was my AF started on Sunday, so after talking to the hospital I started on the pill on Monday as planned. Anyway, AF has never really got going, and has now tailed off, so they want me in to check my hormones tomorrow. Things are never straightforward are they Angry I just presumed that AF would be normal, never thought this would happen and am worried it's going to jeopardise the IVF. Will update once I know what's going on...

Must dash, snail to see and apparently the Ghost of Pontypandy to find on the landing Grin

VJay · 31/08/2011 11:57

4everhopeful · 01/09/2011 08:05

OMG very special huge Happy Birthday wishes to our very first ever graduate - young Ajay!!!!! Grin Shock Grin

Got very emotional when I read your post last night Vjay - I must confess I had no idea it was today, thought it was later in September - I just cannot believe Ajay is 2! It seemed like the hugest gulf of time between our journeys and actually I fell pregnant with Summer just 10 days after Ajay was born! What an incredible journey we have all been on since that September 08 when Emmsys first started?! My heart is also with those still completing their journeys too...

Vjay you must be so proud, and emotional, I am for you, Ajays birth was such a monumental day for you, and our special thread... I hope you and your little family have the most fantasticist day and Summer and I send Ajay tummy tickles, sloppy kisses and much love!
Big waves to all you other special ladies ..... I'm still waiting on damn AF, just want it out the way....

cupcakefairy · 01/09/2011 08:54
