So glad your mum got the all clear, know the gut churning worry you'd of been going through having been there too.. A lot of unneeded stresses for a pregnant lady, hope you can chill out a bit now, just remember to breath a few deep breaths and take 5 on a regular basis for your precious cargos sake...

Weebling my way through this morning and my would have been 12wk scan Sad lots of wierd dreams last night.. Summer is keeping me smiling though, specially as her nap is long overdue and she is acting a bit deranged, as she does when tired, it is however very funny..!

mermaidspurse · 11/08/2011 14:56

4ever hope you are as ok as possible today.

barbie omg i completely forgot about your mum so sorry but thank goodness she is turning a corner and the scare is over.

lbm you have the bestest sounding holidays and probably the best week of the year to be in blissful ignorance too.

louey that looks fairly exciting to meSmile

SabsFabulous · 11/08/2011 17:29

Hello ladies, remember me? Smile

Have had a really busy few months recently so havent been able to post BUT I hope to come back tonight or over the next few days to provide an update and do personals

vjay Can't believe our lo's are going to be 2 next month Shock S's favourite sentence atm is "I want this!" - Happy days ahead Hmm Grin

Be back soon

VJay · 11/08/2011 18:29

Hi sabs I know Shock I am clinging on to him being 23 months old but the time is flying by!

Wow you ladies can talk! Grin
barbie fabulous news for your mum, what a relief for you all Smile

I managed to see Harry potter with cjay Wednesday night, it was brilliant. Cupcake did you get to see it last night?

Aaarrrggghh got to dash, ajay is in the toilet!

OP posts:
VJay · 11/08/2011 18:35

Ok ajay is out.

4ever big huggles my lovely. So glad summer is making you smile, she is just so ace Smile

lbm your holiday sounds fab, we are planning a uk hol for next year, be it camping or cottage or a bit of both, but we're not fussed about the weather just as long as we can get away. We all burn in the sun anyway, I'd much rather rust Grin

High five right back at'ya mermaid Grin

QuestionableAntics · 11/08/2011 20:06

Hi all, will attempt a quick catch up. Apologies in advance for anyone I am bound to miss out!

4ever Sounds like Summer is doing a great job of helping you through today and generally. Their antics when they are that age and tired is comical Smile You are coping so well and should be proud of yourself Smile

louey Love the coat Smile retail therapy sounds like a good plan. The holidays must be hard, as well as enjoyable, but with the DT's and O you will have your work cut out. When the DT's start school, you will suddenly wonder how you managed to fit it all in. I am sure O will smile soon, its usually just as you start to worry about something that it just then happens ime. The age adjustment for prem babies isn't completely accurate I shouldn't imagine and only gives you a rough idea. That smile is just around the corner Smile

monkey curly and 4ever glad the meet up went well at the girls and Charlie reading to Summer Smile monkey have you been away? Where are you with your plan? Sorry i haven't kept up x

barbie Glad everything is ok with your mum. Sounds like you have been on a bit of a roller coaster for the last few weeks, but great news that all was well at your last scan Smile

LBM your description of your holiday sounds just like our winter holidays, who would have thought it was August Shock Hope the weather improves for you, but even if it doesn't you are obviously making the most of it anyway.

mermaid loving the idea of your tea and biscuit exercise club, can i join? Grin Also Smile Smile at your DS not wanting to get up, bliss! We have tried letting Ds stay up later during the hols but he seems to have his own internal alarm clock and wakes up at the usual time. 6 more years then....

sabs and vjay I can't believe your LO's are going to be 2 Shock makes me realise, as a relative newbie, how long I have been here! Have you got plans yet to celebrate the big day?

neeko I know exactly what you mean about the worry of them losing their innocence when they start school. Ds looks so cute in his school uniform, but the mummy in me keeps thinking, no, he's not old enough yet. At least you have dancing H to keep you busy when your DD starts school. Grin

cupcake bless you for always thinking of me and checking up on me Smile Jude sounds like he is doing well Smile Shock at another possible small panter, you lot are so broody on here it's untrue Grin

MrsKate glad things are going well. hope your Lo settles in to nursery well. Harder for you than them!

moon Hope you enjoyed your week away, sorry there is now even more waiting around until the end of September for more tests and results Sad It really is intensely frustrating and upsetting to be at the mercy of someone else's timescale when every day seems like a week. But good news that they are starting clomid. A step forward hopefully. Smile Hugs for the next few weeks too as your sister's due date approaches.

blue sorry i missed your EDD, glad your boys (and roses!) helped you through. i know others have already said, but your words to 4ever were just lovely.

MLS Hope you are doing ok. How are things with K? I smiled at your 'not trying but not using anything' and your quick dash off to see the baby name stats!!

Am Envy at buddha getting a bracelet (plus free one!) from the same company as blue's necklace, i have been wanting one since you posted the link. After all the difficulties you have had with E, poor boy, and suffering with your own pain, you deserve a treat.

I am doing really well. Fast approaching 30 weeks now so not long before I can start counting down! Shock Has been a very busy few weeks with the school holidays, but lovely being able to spend more time with DS. Am just getting fed up with maternity clothes and with the weather, never seem to know what to wear Confused Will be awol again for a while, going away tomorrow, staying with friends for a couple of nights and then going away for a week, yippeeeeeee!

cupcakefairy · 11/08/2011 21:53

Hi qa Shock at you being nearly 30 weeks, wow where did that go??

Hi also to sabs and massive hugs to 4ever for today. I absolutely LOVE the age our babies are at too; just so so funny. Jude cracks me up all day with his little antics and he is so cuddly at the moment I love it :)

Wooooah though ladies, I'm not on the small pants bench!! I just have one foot on it, I'm leaning and casually chatting to all the ladies on it GrinGrin

Vjay we did finally get to see HP last night...my lovely parents came to babysit for the eve (they live over an hour's drive away so was v nice of them!) I loved the film! Think I was prob expecting it to be rubbish so was very pleasantly surprised. Quite emotional that it's all over now! I'll just have to read all the books again i think! Did Cjay enjoy it? I thought it was pretty scary and wondered how it wouldn't give kids nightmares!

Right must dash...bedtime ater my late night out at the cinema last night!! Grin

VJay · 14/08/2011 09:14

qa wowzers at 30 weeks Smile roll on maternity leave. Hope you're having a fun time away.

cupcake me and cjay both loved harry potter, infact cjay saw it again on Friday Grin. It was emotional. Your parents are just lovely Smile

neeko and blue are your wee ones ready for P1? they grow up too fast!

Nothing to report here, just enjoying the last 2 days off before school starts again.

barbie1 · 14/08/2011 11:47

Hi girls, I have not forgotten you all...just so very busy. Our move could take place in as little as 4 weeks, we have soooooo much to do. I'm lurking and thinking of you all, hopefully I will get settled soon for a long overdue catch up x

bluesatinsash · 15/08/2011 13:43

Monday catch up chez work.

4ever - how are you? I know what you mean by no future dates being good but being Sad too as they should be there... How's the holiday planning coming on? you should be able to get some gorgeous summer dresses in the sale for Miss Summer Smile

louey - any smile yet? Remember O was early and these milestones vary so much, I'm sure it's just around the corner... Smile

re: Boden - word of warning I have their raincoat (Autumn 2007) and had to sew every single button back on Angry. Still wear it though but it was thick waxy material and had to use an industrial sized needle! Love the cardigan on the first page and some of their chunkier knitwear but Shock at the price of some of it. Master B will be kitted out in Baby Boden as their stuff is gorgeous, comfy and re-sells for a small fortune on e-bay Smile

neeko - we don't go back until 23rd, our schools have had eight weeks off this year Shock. Feeling very wobbly lipped about school, Isaac has his Friday nursery graduation this week, four years to the day since he started. We have everything bought, blazer, tie, school bag, gym kit etc. etc. I've got parental leave (special NHS leave) for his first week so I can take anc collect him every day, my PFB!!! Your words about M bursting with enthusiasm and not being ready to have that dampened by life made me well up.. The thought of them being exposed to mean people - gah....

Hope your three day week remains so and not five days shoehorned into three!

QA - you're definately on the home straight now Smile.

mermaid - Smile at your DS still in his stratcher. five years and counting for me then Grin. Master I was 0700 hours this morning, even though he was up late playing PS3 with his Daddy last night (weekend treat carried over from Friday as we were at caravan).

Vjay - hope the getting back to school routine goes smoothly this week. I must admit I am looking forward to giving Benjamin some 'Mum to himself' time but will miss my big boy... Is that Cjay going into Primary 5?

LBM - you home yet? Snuggled up in the barn sounded just lovely.

barbie - glad all OK with bean Smile

cupcake so you got to see HP in the end Smile. Toddlerdom is a lovely stage, cherish every spudgy moment.

Buddha - meant to say last time how lovely that was of Lily Belle Smile. I'm quoted on their website as a satisfied customer Smile.. How's the potty training going Confused? I must admit I had it easy with my DS1 as he trained himself, just didn't want to wear a nappy one day and that was that, bar one mishap in ELC (peed on the floor, I bought a pirate ship out of guilt). Going to wait and see this time around too although he already sits on potty and tucks his willie in Smile no pee tho!

Sabs great to see you and hope you're coping with the fasting. Shock too at Saara and Ajay turning two next month...

Hey to everyone else, lunch over, back to work.

VJay · 15/08/2011 15:00

Hi blue no cjay is going into P4, he was a late starter, he was 2 months off being 6 when he went into P1, but has benefited from it so much.
Ajay sits on his potty too and tucks in his winky but like B to pee pee yet. As I type he has his potty on his head, but we'll get there Hmm Grin

School bag ready, pe kit packed, dinner money done, now just enjoying vegging in front of the telly, that's our 6 weeks done, and we've loved every minute Smile

Just dashing in quickly to apologise for going awol - getting on the computer was tricky whilst in the UK. 4ever I have been thinking of you lots, and really hope you're doing okay... Thanks so much to you and curly for a lovely, lovely meet-up last weekend, ds and I really enjoyed it, and it was so great meeting you both and your gorgeous lo's!! I just hope we can do another one in the near future Smile

I have to rush off now as I have one of my best friends coming to stay this afternoon with her two kids. DS and I only got back last night, and so the house is in a state with no food etc... Lots of love to you all and I will be back soon, probably this weekend, for a big catch up!! xxx

VJay · 16/08/2011 10:58

Hi monkey Smile

Gosh it's quiet in my house today, even with my little whirlwind!
After we left school this morning ajay kept calling for cjay, he's really lost today.

Going to play trains now, laters x

OP posts:
loueytb3 · 16/08/2011 14:16

vjay I bet its quiet! Hope the return to school is not too stressful for cjay and that ajay is getting used to having your undivided attention. So glad you all had lovely school holidays Smile

neeko hope the first day for DD1 was not too traumatic for you both Smile

monkey hello, lovely to hear from you. Sounds like you've been a very busy lady!

4ever hope you are ok sweetheart.

blue thanks for the warning about the buttons. I did look at the reviews and they didn't mention that so hopefully its a problem they've sorted out. I am v pleased with it although its yet to be christenened in the rain Grin. However lovely that you have next week off to take I to school every day. I'm sure there will be tears. We've got nearly 4 weeks still til my I starts and 5 until L starts. Still no smiles, am getting a bit stressed about it, not helped by having a cold and feeling a bit pants today.

barbie hang in there, can't imagine how busy you must be ATM.

QA 30 weeks woohoo! When will you finish work. Is DS getting excited about his new sibling? Hope you have a nice break Smile

cupcake how lovely of your parents to come and babysit for you. Am Envy that you've managed to see HP. All the reviews I've seen of it say its v good. ]

sabs lovely to hear from you, hope ramadan is going ok.

lbm hope the weather has improved for you

Must go, have lots to do but no energy to do it Confused. Trying to sort a few things out before O wakes up for next feed and drink hot lemon and honey at the same time in the hope it makes me feel miraculously better Did manage to get out this morning to buy yet more toy buckets. Our lounge resembles a toy shop. I've persuaded DH that we need to build a conservatory but it won't happen until this time next year when I'm back at work unless we win the lottery.

cupcakefairy · 16/08/2011 20:34

Quick wave hello ladies :)

Can't believe summer hols are over for our scottish ladies...bless all the little ones going to school! And at Ajay calling for Cjay!

Louey you'll just have to think of some better jokes for that Oscar, he's a hard one to impress Grin...seriously though, sorry you're a bit stressed about it, what does the HV say about it? I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
Yeah HP was a very good end to it all...sure it will hang around in the cinemas a good few weeks yet maybe you can go with O once the DTs are at school??

Hi monkey glad you're back safe and that you enjoyed the meetup- I'd really love to meet you all someday, determined to make the next one!!

I've also been thinking of 4ever lots too- hope you're ok lovely.

mermaid Ooooh Grey's is just so good and addictive. I'll private message you a code I have for 2 months free lovefilm if you want to watch some! You'll be hooked.

Right, must go, holiday prep to be done! Love to all xxx

BuddhaBelly · 17/08/2011 10:04

Hello my lovelies sorry not been around for 2 weeks but have been lurking on the sly, things have been really busy work and at home, also had the mother of all migraines last week lasted 3 days, think lack of sleep and worry over a certain little person may have triggered that one! Shock

Barbie So pleased to see the scan has reassured you, how restrained of you not to find out the flavour! Also brilliant news that your Mum is doing OK.And how about the move-getting used to the idea, although I have to say it does sound like it will be a bit of a nightmare, not having your own stuff for 3 months and effectively having to move again so soon, not something I'd like to attempt! But you will cope amazingly I am sure Smile
lbm Sorry the weather wasn't great for your holiday, but sounds as if you've made the most of it
Vjay Did you do the questions after re Ajay? I had a little look, it was quite interesting to see that the kind of things I thought would be markers were, not that I had any worries about E but I was looking at this kind of thing when I was making the decision regarding his MMR. Poor Ajay missing Cjay that is so cute!
MrsKate Lovely to "see" you. How has J been getting on at nursery? I think it's definately more stressful for mummy's than the little ones! Smile
4ever Sounds as if you had a wonderful meet up very Envy Hope you are OK?
Blue Echoing the others praise for your lovely words for 4ever you did good girl! Wink Glad you were impressed with my bracelet too Grin Potty training not been to bad although I am being lazy and only doing it sporadically, haven't asked nursery to follow it through yet, but did buy him some pants yesterday they are so tiny and cute! Smile
Neeko Hope we are getting photo's soon of your new boudoir and ensuite?
cupcake "one foot on leaning casually" Grin love it!
Louey Not sure about the belly dancing for my back Shock although I've definately got the belly for it Grin Wink How has O's sleeping been?
Mermaid Grin at us having to wait 10 years for "I don't want to get out of bed" ,sigh. only 8 to go Grin
QA30 weeks where has it gone! Shock hope you have had a lovely time away

Big waves to Sabs & monkey

Well we're off to Birmingham this afternoon for our appointment and hopefully we will get on the waiting list for E's op, correction we WILL get on the list. I've been practising my pushy mother moves all morning Grin

GracieGirl · 17/08/2011 20:11

Evening all, sorry that once again I've been rubbish at keeping in touch.

4ever I'm so sorry that you've lost another lovely little angel. Sending all my love and big hugs. Sad

A quick update on me.... DD is 18 months now and a little chatter box. She's great! We stopped breastfeeding last month, which was more traumatic for me than DD. She's not given it a thought whereas I got mastitis! I really missed it for a while but now I've got used to it and I'm glad to have my body back. And I can wear normal bras again, yippee!!!!!! Grin
DD goes to nursery 1 day a week and now loves it!

We're just getting round to the idea of ttc again, DH has exams in Sept and Dec so really ought to get those out of the way first. I'd really like to have another baby.

GracieGirl · 17/08/2011 20:42

erm... me again.....

Whilst typing my message half an hour ago it just occurred to me that I really shouldn't be ignoring the fact I'm on day 33 without an AF, and I've been eating mango for the last week like my life depended on it, i feel just a bit nauseous and I've felt dizzy every time I stood up for the last 2 days, my abdomen feels really odd, I have a metallic taste in my mouth....... surely not........ Confused

Anyhow i've just wee'd on a stick (the last one I had from before, I'm surprised its still in date).......

36 seconds to go till i can look..........

BuddhaBelly · 17/08/2011 20:50

Gracie There's no stopping you now you've started! Wink can you believe how quickly the last 18 months have gone! Great to hear from you

Well we're back from Birmingham, took my outlaws with me as they are on holiday and he was fantastic in the car, slept there and really good on way home (journey was about 1.5 hours each way) The consultant was a lovely lovely man, engaged with E straight away (unlike our local hospital) gave us 2 choices 1) long term low dose antibiotics for 6 months to boost immune system, prevent further infections and the hope that he will grow out of the glue ear, but can't guarantee he won't get permanent diarrhea (which he usually has with antib's) and can't say for definate that he will grow out of glue ear. 2) Grommets operation - his waiting list is approx 4-6 weeks so not too bad to be honest. Talked to dh and we're leaning towards the op as they aren't so many downsides apart from the general anesthetic of course. But the consultant is concerned there maybe problems with his immune system Hmm as it's unusual to have so many infections in such a short space of time so young so will do bloods first. I feel much more positive and hopeful that we can resolve this shortly, I just hope we're making the right decision??

BuddhaBelly · 17/08/2011 20:53

Its a BFP!!!! Shock
OMG!!!

With DH working away its easy to work out when we BD, it was on day 7, surely thats too early............. (obviously not).

I'm over the moon!! Grin, scared and excited all at once. I'm not sure I should tell DH before his exam in 3 weeks time, though not sure I can keep quiet that long. He's not home till the weekend so I've got some time to think about it.

DH thinks we're starting trying for a baby around Christmas, I thought day 7 was safe! I feel really bad, I've got 2 close friends going through the nightmare of IVF (one of whom miscarried twins last month), I shouldn't get pregnant that easily.

OMG I'm pregnant!!!!!!! Grin Smile Confused Shock Wink Biscuit
