So the last thread disappeared so here's the deal: I realised it's really annoying to drive yourself mad wondering if you're pg during the 2ww. Newbies welcome!

OP posts:
NinjaChipmunk · 09/06/2011 14:26

we're in surbiton so Kingston hospital is where the tests are done. My appointment with be at the fertility unit in roehampton, queen marys i think?
faithbaby thats definitely something to check out. and if it is can he get them changed to a different med?

havealittlefaithbaby · 09/06/2011 17:02

Yes and yes pg!. Will need to get pm proper pc to look at research. May be able to swap tablets but then I think if they suit him is it unfair to get him to change cos others have bad side effects? If that is the case may have to put ttc on.hold til he is ready to come off them Hmm.
Do you ever feel so bored of ttc?! Today I've just had enough!

NinjaChipmunk · 09/06/2011 17:08

yes totally bored of it but I don't know any other way of producing a baby!

PatientGriselda · 09/06/2011 17:16

And me. Completely sick of the whole thing and would just like to get on with having a baby now, rather than trying to conceive one all the time.

CD46 today. I don't feel premenstrual, but then I don't feel anything else, either.

havealittlefaithbaby · 09/06/2011 17:19

I just feel like I'm being poked in the boobs. And very, very tired.

havealittlefaithbaby · 09/06/2011 21:28

You know you're retaining water when your boobs float in.the bath!

NinjaChipmunk · 09/06/2011 21:29

mine usually end up in my armpits!

princessamz · 09/06/2011 23:43

hi faithbaby
i take antidepressants too and constantly worry that i wont be able to get pregnant again as they can slow down fertility.ive been taking them for about 11years though and have a very healthy 6year old so there is hope :)

havealittlefaithbaby · 10/06/2011 06:41

Good to know you got pg before amz. My concern relates to DH's sperm.count.and the fact he's on antidepressants. He also rides a bike 50 miles + a week! But he is doing everything he can 'take up' like conception supplements, Brazil nuts, eating well. We're off to GP tonight (assuming the receptionist will let us cross the threshold!!) so will ask him about it.
My chart on futility fiend looks triphasic (12.4% of charts analysed with bfp had triphasic chart, 4% had bfn but triphasic pattern). Oh the optimism!! Still a bit early to poas though Hmm.

PatientGriselda · 10/06/2011 08:14

Well, sore boobs and tiredness sound good, for a start. I share the tiredness, but my boobs are completely and boringly normal. Still, CD47...

princessamz · 10/06/2011 10:37

how long has everyone on this thread been ttc?you all sound like experts with your charts and things.i havent got a clue about any of it!

havealittlefaithbaby · 10/06/2011 10:40

So patientgriselda this is your longest cycle yet? Are you not tempted to poas?
Now I feel like puking but haven't. Hey, have been here before so open minded either way.

PatientGriselda · 10/06/2011 12:16

18months for me, princessamz (hello, by the way, I don't think I said it when you arrived!). I don't chart, as I found it so ridiculously unreliable for me. I'm a PCOSer, and I gather charting often doesn't work for us. How long have you been trying?

Faithbabes, I will test after this weekend, I think. My cycles are so variable that, like you, I feel a bit "been here before, whatever" about the whole thing. Saves me a fortune in sticks, though!

havealittlefaithbaby · 10/06/2011 16:22

Think we overlapped there! Been ttc since Christmas 2009 (sounds like forever!). Think this is cycle 18 but there's been a couple when we didn't really try. I've been charting since Feb just to see if I can make sense of my body signs. I'd recommend 'Taking charge of your fertility' by Toni Weschler which is how I got so knowledgeable.
Fairy snuff pg. I dummy when to poas. Futility fiend days af should be due Monday (cd23!) Based on my ovulation being on cd8 and previous luteal phases of 13/14 days. Reckon that's a bit early to test tbh. Longest cycle was 28 so who knows when the evil witch is actually due? Oh for a regular cycle...

PatientGriselda · 10/06/2011 16:28

I know that feeling. At least yours are within tighter bounds than mine (scant consolation, I know). All the irregularity and need for weIghtloss does sound quite PCOS-y. It's definitely part of what caused my GP to diagnose me. When is your endocrinology thing again?

Am so sure I'm not pregnant that tonight I'm having a roastingly hot bath with essential oils in. Sod it.

havealittlefaithbaby · 10/06/2011 17:53

Fertility endocrinology appt is 1st July (racing towards it!). DH is happier since GP appt this evening. Apparently I could still get pregnant from his sperm as they are but it may be more effective to 'spin' them as they were dilute which would mean ivf. However he seemed to think it could well be a blip, DH got it to the lab in 22 minutes but they took 80 mins to analysis!! So retest in August.
Boobs getting bigger and bigger. Having nausea too. Will be getting drunk tonight I think to be ironic.(hmm initially that came up as 'atomic').
You go for your bath pg! Cheers! Wine

PatientGriselda · 10/06/2011 19:12

Yeah! You with your booze and me with my bath - ironic bfps all round! I'm stupidly starting to get little flickers of hope now. Someone slap me, for God's sake.

havealittlefaithbaby · 10/06/2011 19:44

I'm on the "I'm going to get pregnant this month" thread so trying to be positive. We must have hope. You may be pregnant! You had the sexing and late af! We're bound to crack it one day...

PatientGriselda · 11/06/2011 09:38

Yes definitely! And still no AF here, on CD48, so all to play for.

havealittlefaithbaby · 11/06/2011 11:19

Oh dear, DH is a man on a mission round the house. He is one of those starts a project then moves to the next one. I am picking up the pieces of the mostly done jobs...am patching the living room so its finished. I am so tired, slept til 10! Do.a little bit, rest a bit. Off to clumber park later to meet my mate and her new boyfriend and Dsis is there with her family so should be fun. May sleep in the car.

PatientGriselda · 11/06/2011 15:34

Ha! Mine too! So frustrating. But then at least he's actually got up the ladder in the first place, even if he hasn't put it or the toolbox away.

Do you think I could legitimately POAS tomorrow morning?

havealittlefaithbaby · 11/06/2011 19:32

Since you're so late in your cycle is say yes, poas!

havealittlefaithbaby · 11/06/2011 19:58

Ps oh dear DH and I had a big row in the car and then we had an accident! Not too serious, tried to overtake at the same time as the car behind, DH didn't see him pull out. We've lost an (electric) wing mirror so did they. I cried like a girl due to hormones! Boobs are so sore I squealed in pain. Clearly upduffed.(Or have worst pms in months Hmm).

PatientGriselda · 11/06/2011 20:18

Oh no! Are you ok? How are you feeling now?

havealittlefaithbaby · 11/06/2011 20:23

Yes all fine. Managed to calm down enough to finish journey (happened on the way there) and then had a lovely time with family and one of my best mates. Met her new fella who teens lovely (she deserves it, she had a horrid fella before. She just can't have a baby before me!).
