So the last thread disappeared so here's the deal: I realised it's really annoying to drive yourself mad wondering if you're pg during the 2ww. Newbies welcome!

Scratch the 'medium', more like tsunami now (Tmi?). Staying in.bed while DH gets car assessed for repairs. Been promised chocolate on his return.
Griselda I do think a GP review would be wise under the circumstances.55 days is way too long (I know your cycle is irregular but never normally this long!). Hope you get an answer soon.

NinjaChipmunk · 18/06/2011 10:16

sorry to hear of af's arrival faithbaby, your dh sounds good getting you chocolate though.
pg I think I'm inclined to agree with faithbaby about a gp review. 55 days is unreasonably long.
dizzy how are you?
cls101 any news?
Hi to everyone else. Well I've had a nice morning so far - got a lie in and when I got up dp was getting a bag together and has now taken ds for a haircut and then swimming so I've got about 3 hours to myself! Hurrah! Chilling with a cuppa watching saturday kitchen and then may luxuriate in a long hot shower and decide what to do with the day. The pub near me has built a giant size hungry hippos game which they are having some kind of tournament of this weekend so we may pop down there later. And the sun is out!
Well so far have managed swi on day 7 and 9, have forwarned dp that from tonight (day 11) to about tues or weds he'll be required to step up every night!
right off to see what else has been going on in the world of MN....

havealittlefaithbaby · 18/06/2011 10:29

Ooh if you're watching Saturday Kitchen you should know Will is my second cousin! Enjoy the morning to yourself ninja.
Giant hungry hippos?! Sounds awesome!!
We are having Dnephew overnight tonight. Hope he sleeps! Expect the house to look like a disaster zone by 5.03 (he's coming at 5). At least we have a Peppa pig dvd in stock to meet the PIG demands!

CLS101 · 18/06/2011 10:45

Hi guys, can't stop right now, will come back later to chat but had bfn this morning Sad

DizzyKipper · 18/06/2011 14:09

Hi all,

I'm off to work soon. Been feeling really tired today, exhaustion was my first symptom last time the week following conception, so fingers crossed.
Will be very busy tomorrow - work first thing then round to my mum's to see family. Probably packing straight after.
Hope the rest of you have a good weekend Smile

havealittlefaithbaby · 18/06/2011 17:03

Grr my old uni friend has just announced she's expecting her third :(
That's just greedy! I only want one!!

havealittlefaithbaby · 18/06/2011 17:08

On a positive note, we have tidied the study (words cannot express how massive a job it was). Car load (!) Of stuff to go to charity shop. Bin bag full of old paperwork to destroy. Computer is in living room, study is now a music room! :) got my piano in there and cool posters on the wall including the 3d Abbey road. Coolio.

PatientGriselda · 18/06/2011 19:21

Brill progress with the study , faithbaby and hurrah for tiredness and potential duffedness, dizzy! And boo to bfn, CLS, and oh my God where is that pub, ninja! I want to play giant hungry hippos.

DP and I popped out for a pint and have ended up with enormous steak and chips in the pub. Still (thinking positively) it's probably my body's way of telling me I'm eating for two :)

queenrollo · 18/06/2011 21:49

hello girls.

i may be expecting AF tomorrow (by shortest cycle)....or maybe not til a week today (going by longest recent cycle). As i'm going to be at Glastonbury i've decided to POAS on Weds am. I should get a positive test by then if I am PG and if I get a BFN then I know i will be ok to have a couple of drinks at the fest.

Sods law says i'll get AF though which is a real pain when camping.....

havealittlefaithbaby · 19/06/2011 07:04

Any news ladies? My temp has plummeted, no denying its anything other than af now. Ah well, get it over and done with! Soon be sexing time again. Realised af will be due last day of my holiday, obviously aiming for nice holiday surprise bfp!!

PatientGriselda · 19/06/2011 08:17

No news from me. Forgot to have sex last night, after all that food, and are now on ejaculation ban in advance of DP's sperm test on Tuesday. He has started to get a bit anxious about the results...

havealittlefaithbaby · 19/06/2011 08:46

Ah the sex ban, never known DH be so randy!

PatientGriselda · 19/06/2011 08:48

When is his retest?

NinjaChipmunk · 19/06/2011 10:51

pg see here for the giant hungry hippos and the other bits and bobs they put on.

at *queenrollo, have a fabbo time at glasto, hope you've got you're wellies. I hope you get a bfp too!

cls101 sorry for the bfn

dizzy hope the tiredness proves to be duffedness, good luck with packing

faithbaby your house sounds lovely, I would love to have a music room (or indeed and other room in addition to my tiny flat!)

CD12 for me, have so far managed swi on 7, 9 and 11 and going for gold over the next few days. I will win me a baby, I will!
Didn't make the hungry hippos yesterday but may well head down there today to meet some friends.
Have lovely days everyone!

havealittlefaithbaby · 19/06/2011 17:27

Ninja our house remains a labour of love!! Been here almost 2 years, in that time have had to clear junk with large skip, full rewire Confused, new kitchen, all rooms decorated post rewire (oh the dust!), new combi boiler, new double glazing (no we're not rich my Dad has footed most of the bill from his retirement nest egg bless him!). Finally starting to feel like our home. It's great cos it's a bungalow it's quite easy to relabel/furnish rooms as you fancy! I am chuffed about having my piano in a special room though!
I would just like to ask, has anyone seen my af?! She seems to have vanished....

havealittlefaithbaby · 19/06/2011 19:46

Ah, there she is. Just popped out for fresh ammo it seems.

havealittlefaithbaby · 19/06/2011 20:14

I feel rubbish today btw, been.really tearful. We went to church this morning, they announced a pregnancy. Just sat and cried through it :(
DH has been very affectionate which is lovely. His retest is 24th August pg.

NinjaChipmunk · 19/06/2011 20:38

oh faithbaby you poor thing. Hopefully your hosp appointment will shed some light on why things. You probably know all this but this article makes interesting reading on how diet can affect pms.
Well we went to see the giant hungry hippos, and the pub was packed, full of pregnant women and little kids and babies. Everywhere. I have to say I found it quite hard. The hippos looked good though and I think they raised quite a lot for the charity it was in aid of.
Have just eaten the most enormous roast, was lovely. Now got to digest before bedtime so the jiggy jiggy can commence.

havealittlefaithbaby · 20/06/2011 07:42

Hello, self pity time over. Af on her way out (so short!). Very tired!! Like struggled to get up.
ninja that was an interesting article, I am much better since starting curves diet and magnesium. Still could to.better though! Did you manage the jiggy jiggy?!

princessamz · 20/06/2011 11:32

hi everyone,
been away for a few days cos ive had lots on.been having a good clear out in the house.feeling much better on the mood front.faithbaby have stopped taking multi vitamins cos they contain vitamin a which is supposed to be dangerous in pregnancy.so difficult knowing whats safe.heard folic acid is meant to help with ttc?
the depression seems to be easing off.think last month was just complete obsession with ttc and when im came on i thought i was ok but the day after i felt terrible.suffered with depression for 17years and have been taking medication for 11 years.have good and bad days but more good.have low confidence in myself and worry about everything.sometimes it gets too much and i feel very down but i do my best to fight it everyday.
thank you to everyone who's offered support.its lovely to know that i have people to talk to who wont judge me xx

havealittlefaithbaby · 20/06/2011 13:33

When I say multivitamins I mean 'conception' vitamins to help conception malarky. Yes folic acid is very important not to help conception but for baby growth. You should really be taking it for 3 months so its in your system when you get preggers. My bean will have 18 months worth at least!

PatientGriselda · 20/06/2011 15:09

I have gone all devil may care with my folic acid, after 18 months worth too!

CD 57 and not so much as a drop of blood. If it is just the PCOS again then at least I am on the list for ovarian drilling, which should help. If it's a miracle pregnancy then I will just indulge myself with the possibility for a bit longer before phoning the GP to ask if she thinks it's worth a blood test.

havealittlefaithbaby · 20/06/2011 18:24

How have your days been ladies? Mine was pretty good at work. Been to gym no leg issues. Think I'm fit again!! Tomorrow will be telling ache wise. Af has pretty much finished so let the sexing commence!
I can't believe still no af pg! Seriously, you need to get checked out! When you heading to your GP?

PatientGriselda · 20/06/2011 18:36

Can I collapse here in a little heap of self pity? Just heard that another friend is having a baby. I was suitably thrilled and congratulatory on the phone but now I am miserable. It is just so fucking unfair. I know it's possible that they took 18months to get there too, but it just never feels like that.

PatientGriselda · 20/06/2011 18:38

Sorry faithbaby, to answer your question - I will maybe wait till the weekend and test again. And then if no AF, call the GP on Monday. In the meantime I am googling various versions of "late AF no bfp how many days late till you got bfp" etc.
