Oh dear sorry for the bfn isla

Two very, very strong positive opk's for me yesterday and today Smile. Along with cramps, bloating, ewcm and a soft high open cervix. This should be it. Annoyingly my temp was up already yesterday, possibly because both today and yesterday ds was really unsettled in bed next to me and I didn't sleep very well for the last couple of hours. I definitely didn't ovulate Monday. If temp goes up even higher tomorrow I'll be happy.

Sorry isla Sad

Well as expected Af showed today, 24 day cycle and a 10 day LP. Now to try and rustle up some enthusiam about starting a brand new cycle, day 1 is always the worst isnt it.

mrsden · 08/06/2011 17:36

sorry about the bfn isla and AF duck. Yep, day 1 sucks. I have started spotting today so although temp still up, I know it's game over. Onto cycle 12, don't think it's ever going to happen. I don't know anyone in RL who has taken this long without eventually needing fertility treatment, maybe it's just because people don't talk about it.

duckdodgers · 08/06/2011 21:36

Ah you as well mrsden, sorry Sad. Im onto cycle 13 so like you its been a while. But Im sure it will happen. It took me 18 months to conceive DS2. And its bollocks to the relax and it will happen when you give up mantra for me anyway - I never officially gave up because I was charting continually but I did think it wasnt going to happen and it did. So please dont give up hope!

weimy · 08/06/2011 22:04

hugs mrsden xxxxxxx

wheredmysanitygo · 08/06/2011 22:16

Sorry to hear your news isla, duck and mrsden

Day 20 and I'm still waiting to pop.

IslandIsla · 08/06/2011 22:56

Thanks ladies. Af is definitely coming on now, which if I go with my 12 day LP, puts my ovulation day exactly to the day I thought it was, rather than what FF decided. So even though I've had a good old cry tonight (during Waterloo Road which was really sad if any of you watch it!!) I do feel smug for knowing my body better than FF Grin

really glad to see ov is imminent digital. My temps didn't play ball either this month (they were up before ov) - but, remember it doesn't really matter that your chart doesn't look pretty, as long as you do ov Smile (although my chart did annoy me all through this cycle!!)

sorry mrsden

Myself, I'm trying to stay positive, but this marks the six months trying so feeling like something must be wrong. DD was conceived quickly. I had a c section so can't help but wonder if they messed up my insides when she was coming out. Guess we have to just keep on trying for a while and keep hoping.

CD1 sucks.

AuntieDoris · 09/06/2011 06:08

Well it seems to me that I have had a fairly conclusive temp drop.

I am getting so fed-up now. My cousin and his wife had a baby yesterday and all I can think about it how unfair it all feels!

jaggythistle · 09/06/2011 06:49

hey all sorry to hear about AF and temp drops. :(

I'd expected to be away lurking by now but I'm on cd 18 and still no temp rise. i think my parents house is a wee bit colder but not that much! have have managed some (hopefully) stealth SWI and we're off back home today so will maybe get an opk out.

isla - snap! i had a cs too and sometimes wonder if it's had an effect, since DS was conceived month 2 last time.

this is cycle 9 now, but I'm trying to stay positive where i can - so much is different this time. last time we ttc I was just off the pill, could SWI whenever i wanted (no teething/ill baby waking and us being too tired) I wasn't bfing a toddler and hadn't had the cs. I'm sure my timing wasn't that great every month out of the 8 so far. Grin

also even though i am broody as anything, i feel lucky to have lovely DS to snuggle when i feel grumpy.

sorry this has been a bit of an essay! am up with him now as he's panicked when he woke up in a strange cot again!

digitalgirl · 09/06/2011 08:10

Finally! A temp rise following positive opk! I have changed all previous opk's on my chart as I think they were false surges and the last two opk's were so much darker. Still stupid ff thinks I'm 5dpo and I know I'm only 1dpo. So am going to start steroids today. Wish me luck ladies.

And sorry for temp drop Doris Sad. I find them as bad as bfn's and would rather af just showed up and temp dropped later.

digital Grin9grin]Grin yay for temp rises!!! I do agree FF can be very stuboorn, can't it! Best of luck xxx

hugs Doris My SIL is pregnant and had great delight in telling us it happened first time and isn't 2 yrs the perfect age gap?

jaggy Hope that egg pops for you soon! I hear you about feeling positive. I've been really good at it up to this point but the six months thing has hit me hard and my CD1 dip seems to be extending to CD2. I am so grateful for DD, she is amazing and if we only have one then she is more than enough for me. But I would so love a bigger family and a sibling for her. I just wish I could know if and when it would happen, so i didn't waste all this emotional energy on the TTC rollercoaster. If I could know that I'd another baby in 1 or 2 or 3 years away , the knowledge that it would happen eventually would be a big relief - if you see what I mean? Of course that guarantee can never happen be given the uncertainty is what I hate about TTC.

IslandIsla · 09/06/2011 11:03

sorry my message is totally garbled there!!! Hopefully you get the overall feeling!

jaggythistle · 09/06/2011 13:01

yes it made sense!

tbh i found passing 6 months made me feel rubbish too. DH's 'it'll happen when it happens' attitude may be infuriating but he looks a lot less grumpy than me so i am making a conscious effort to tone down my stressing.
glad i have you ladies to chat to. :)

Poppyjen · 09/06/2011 15:45

IslandIsla I totally understand, I feel that way too - and I am curious about the c-section point too - DS was conceived in first month on trying (and that was 1st month after coming off the pill) and then I had a c-section and now everything seems very messed up (56 day cycles, and mc) I wonder if there's anything in it?

Feeling positive now, hoping the mc will "re-set" everything so to speak and my cycles will be a bit more normal. Taking Agnus Castus too which is supposed to help a bit with the PCOS so we'll see.

Temps are up and down, look a bit like a mountain range again (even though same time every day) but then last cycle they were like that until ovulation and then after they were much more constant.

Anyway, CD 13 so SWI every other night at the moment...didn't ovulate until CD 36 ish last cycle so may be some time before we get a rest Wink

ho hum... Smile

weimy · 09/06/2011 22:13

Agree once you get past 6months it sucks big time. :(

jaggythistle · 09/06/2011 22:23

forgot to post chart link, it's looking like my ov is delayed. visiting my parents must be more stressful than i thought!

definitely seem to have EWCM today, don't think swimmers can hang around that long? also think my cervix seemed higher.

chart here

jaggythistle · 10/06/2011 07:11

morning all.

still no significant temp rise today. it's only about 0.02 above where my coverline usually is, probably due to a few glasses of wine last night.

forced persuaded DH into more SWI just in case, think he's getting fed up now!

link above - it's not as neat as my other ones!

mrsden · 10/06/2011 07:27

Temp drop today, waiting for AF to arrive now. At least then I can ring up and organise my day 3 blood tests. I feel a bit tearful today, ttc is so emotional and I'm losing all hope now after 11 months. No hope for next month because I'm away in the middle of my cycle, maybe a little break will do me good.

digitalgirl · 10/06/2011 08:24

Sorry for temp drop mrsDenSad

jaggy snap. my pre-ov temps have been all over the place this month. They were actually more stable during my WTF cycle.

Well I think I can safely say I'm definitely post-ov. Temp climbing steadily
FF has shifted cross-hairs to only two days earlier to when I think I ovulated.

My sympathies to those ttc long term. It'll be two years this August for me. I've been pg 4 times, so there have been highs...but the miscarriages have brought those highs crashing down. Sad

OP posts:
jaggythistle · 10/06/2011 12:42

well my charts have been kind of boring and samey, at least this one will be different Grin

IslandIsla · 10/06/2011 15:12

mrsden hugs. I hope moving forward to arrange bloods helps you feel positive.

Taking a break can be a good idea I think. I'm thinking about chilling out this cycle. Maybe not charting or knicker checking, and just dtd a few times. I do think there is something in the relax and it will happen thing - yet I also think relaxing about it is a very difficult thing to do. I haven't managed it! Going to try some reflexology starting next week - I really need to destress about it all. Last month I felt permanently on edge waiting for AF and that can't be good for my sanity or my hormones.

digital yay!!!

jaggy hope that ov happens soon!

jaggythistle · 10/06/2011 20:26

definitely looking good digital :)

weimy · 10/06/2011 23:50

mrsden sorry about temp drop :(

Digital that looks gooooood!

jaggythistle · 11/06/2011 07:39

i think we have a temp rise...

chart here again

not sure if the actual number is particularly accurate as i took it late after being up v late with DS, but i don't think I've had many pre ov temps that high.

2ww here i come. on holiday from work, so hopefully plenty of distraction.
