Thanks for all your congrats Smile Did a CB digi this morning and it said 2-3 weeks since conception so hoping thats a good sign, its a long way to go! I'll be still lurking on this thread and hoping for a few more BFPs by the end of this month!

fishfingersarnie · 08/07/2011 10:40

Morning all!

Another lurker here!! Smile..... sounds dead creepy doesn't it, like I've been stalking you all!!

I'm 6DPO, symptoms include very tender nips, slightly sore boobs, heartburn on a daily basis and some nice stable high temps on my chart! I've been waking up STARVING every morning!

If anyone wants to take a gander at my chart and my previous zig-zag post ovulation temps, then let me know how to post a chart cos I haven't done it before! Grin

My story is I'm 32, TTC for 13 months after DH's vasectomy reversal. Got our first consultation at the assisted conception unit on the 18th July and I'm secretly hoping that I'll be calling them to cancel......I can test on the 15th (which seems like a lifetime lol!). Think I'm a bit more relaxed this month as I know that if this cycle doesn't work out then the wheels are in motion for ICSI (if we get the funding, fingers crossed).

AND.......IT'S FRIDAY!!! Anyone planning on winning the Euro lottery tonight????
Hope you're all well, anyone for a Brew?

fishfingersarnie · 08/07/2011 10:41

Oh, and massive congrats to those who have got their BFPs!!!!!

freelancegirl · 08/07/2011 11:40

Ooh well done everyone for the BFPs. I got a BFN this morning, my first month of charting and 12DPO/CD26. Half of me thinks I might check again in a few days (I am on steroids so I need to know when I can definitely stop them)

What is supposed to happen now...? Does the temp dip and then period comes? It would be nice to predict when this might arrive more accurately for a change!

Sorry Fishfingersarnie I can't help you - someone else sorted out my chart link for me! I am a charting newbie myself. Good luck with the treatment, although like you said hopefully you won't need it.

PieMistress · 08/07/2011 12:47

free I didn't get a temp dip until CD2 :( When I had 2 days of very very light spotting at the end of my cycle my temps were still really high so a little part of me was hoping for a miracle and a BFP, but then AF came on really heavy and my temp didn't drop until the day after that.

12dpo can still be early for BFP, how long are your cycles normally?

welcome fishfinger :)

freelancegirl · 08/07/2011 13:47

Blimey, this charting this is a minefield isn't it. CD2 when your temp went down? I was under the impression they were meant to go down and THEN you would start AF. Obviously not always.

Pre mc my cycles always averaged around 33 days - max was 45 and min was 29. So yes, maybe it IS quite early for me. Am in CD26. I don't want to kid myself, just paranoid about going off the steroids too early. I really want to come off them now though, but feel I should wait until at least CD30. Am craving sugar like a mad woman today!

PieMistress · 08/07/2011 14:57

Maybe my cycle is messed up as it's the first one post m/c and it's also been incredibly hot at night in our room so i've been waking up very warm and clammy? I also thought you had the temp dip then AF as it's the stopping of progesterone isn't it which reduces your temp, not got a scooby what's happened this month then for me! Shock

I would give it until at least 14dpo but some people dont get a BFP until 18dpo (accordingly to FF anyway!)

freelancegirl · 08/07/2011 16:07

I am sure your cycle is still trying to get back to normal. My first cycle post mc wasn't really even a proper period. I have been waking up warm and clammy too!

I am confused too this month. Any more experienced charters who can tell us when the temp dip is meant to be in relation to AF?

I tell you what though, my body must be gearing up for a mammoth period. With 10 days of ovulation pain and now some really weird cramping. Like nothing i have felt before. Nothing really strong but still there all the same. Definitely other hormonal signs such as craving sugar and emotional.

I might stay on the steroids until Monday just in case. I really think it is definitely a BFN but I would be gutted if I stopped taking them and it turns out I was wrong.

havealittlefaithbaby · 08/07/2011 16:56

Hello ladies, lots going on on this thread. I try to wait til at least 14dpo to test!
I won't be around much for the next week because I'm on holiday and doubt very much my temps will be very accurate due to change on sleep patterns and alcohol! Shocking in 2ww I know but I'm tired of putting my life on hold so I'm just going to go away and enjoy it! Happy with my chart so far so I guess I'll see when I get home!

freelancegirl · 08/07/2011 17:58

I would say have some wine for me, but I think I will be having a bucket full of my own for myself too Grin

PieMistress · 08/07/2011 19:28

I'm about to enjoy a markies dine in for a tenner dinner! Steak, garlic mushrooms, chips, profiteroles and wine! :)

happy hols havealittle !

freelancegirl · 08/07/2011 21:59

That sounds great! DH and I are at home and getting work done tonight and tomorrow but having a cheeky vino and just ate my body weight in pasta, am pretty sure that's down to PMT!

Hey, I have a charting question for those in the know. Fertility friend has put my 'Test' date at CD33 or 19DPO. Does anyone have any idea how this works it out. I was just wondering how they have predicted my luteal phase, being that it is my first chart. It's odd because my average cycle before mc was around 33 days, so oddly correct. Maybe I have been to early to test today

havealittlefaithbaby · 08/07/2011 22:06

Did you just start charting? Vis it tends to say wait til 19dpo if it doesn't have am idea of your luteal phase yet. It may think af is due before that its just when it think you'll get a clear test result (I think! I'm no expert!)

freelancegirl · 08/07/2011 22:14

Yes, it's my first one charting, 3rd cycle post mc. That would make sense then as it has nothing else to go on. It has me down as having ovulated on CD14. For the last two cycles I have had around a 15 day luteal phase I think but of course these were not charted. Technically I guess AF is not due until Monday.

jaggythistle · 08/07/2011 22:15

well...if FF doesn't 'know' you, it will put your test date at 18 days after your first high temp (based on longest possible lp that normally occurs). once you have recorded a few cycles, it will then put a test date based on your longest luteal phase.

so my test date comes up as about 13/14dpo as my lp is usually 12ish days. it will be confused this month though with no temps this month and delayed ov last month.

hope that makes sense!

freelancegirl · 08/07/2011 22:25

Thanks Jaggy, it doesn't know me indeed! Actually I am not sure if my body even knows me at the moment. Why no temps - month off? I am actually getting so keen on temp testing I did mine this afternoon too, just to check I didn't have a fever Blush

jaggythistle · 08/07/2011 22:42

yeah, I'm supposed to be having a month off mumsnet too but am failing!

this is month 10 for us so am trying the no stressing about temps and just SWI every couple of days approach. (although if you peer closely at my chart i may have accidentally have recorded some CM and CP Grin).

oh, and most of my temp drops were on the day of or day before AF, but i did have a few that stayed high and got my hopes up! :)

Scrummybumb · 09/07/2011 11:14

Hi fishfinger and welcome. If you go to sharing on FF and go to set-up you can create your home page. It will have a URL where you can select what it will say, most of us having opted for our MN nick name as the last part. You can then go to view and see what it looks like as you have options for what data to share. If you then copy that URL and paste it here you can make it into a link by putting two brackets on each side of the word [[ if you leave a little space and then add a word before closing the brackets you can use any word you like as the link word.

Let's hope it's a BFP for you. I'm surprised that they are offering ICSI if you have had the reversal. Is that standard?

Sounds like you're all having a good, relaxing time, with a lot of us oldies taking a break from charting, although a little worried about auntied. hope you're ok darling.

Sorry about AF duck [hsad]

I'm 6DPO and just doing the waiting game

fishfingersarnie · 09/07/2011 12:23

Hi Scrummy - thanks for your help! Here is my chart www.fertilityfriend.com/home/fishfinger

They have said we will need ICSI due to DH's sperm - the count seemed to be OK but I don't think the motility was great....

How long before you'll POAS??? I'm trying so hard not to do it now as I know that it'll be a BFN!!!

Scrummybumb · 09/07/2011 14:04

Too much of an oldie on this game now so won't POAS until I'm late, which would be mid-week next week.... Don't mean to dampen anyone's excitement, but after 9 unsuccessful cycles and wth DH low morphology our luck is somewhat limited. I know it only takes one.....

Scrummybumb · 09/07/2011 14:12

Sorry, meant to say, you do have some nice steady temps. It seems like you've had those teasing temp drops that could have meant implantation if only that had been the case. I've had those too in the past

fishfingersarnie · 09/07/2011 14:29

Yep I'm supposed to wait till Friday to test - just got to try and distract myself in the meantime! We've been TTC for 13 months and this is the only month that my temps haven't gone up and down like crazy in the 2WW and it's hard not to get my hopes up...so I'm gonna sit on my hands until AF is late!!!!!!
I know it's easy to say as I've had it said to me many many times over the last few months but try and stay positive - it does only take one! I try not to think about what the next step is if we can't conceive naturally......we're off to the assisted conception unit in a week or so but I don't think we're eligible for funding from our PCT as DH already has children from a previous relationship. Damn postcode lottery!!!

Scrummybumb · 10/07/2011 13:47

Did you see they are going to debate that in the commons again, this whole post-code lottery issue? It is supposed to be a NATIONAL health service after all!

fishfingersarnie · 10/07/2011 19:13

Yeah it's ridiculous - we are one road away from our GP. The postcode for the surgery falls under one PCT but our house postcode falls under another. Our postcode means we would get funding. The surgery postcode means we probably won't.
ONE ROAD AWAY!!!!!
May have to change GP......

IslandIsla · 10/07/2011 20:57

Thats crazy fishfinger. If your GP surgery makes a difference, then do it!
