Just found out you are pregnant after a previous miscarriage and too nervous to move over the to pregnancy boards? Freaking out about spotting, cramping, symptoms (or lack there of) and nervously awaiting your first scan? Here is a lovely place for lot's of support, hand holding and problem sharing.

Courtesy of owlbooty here are the Ten Commandments of the Freak Out Room.

1. Thou shalt check thy knickers to the point of insanity until the baby actually arrives.
2. Thou shalt also check the loo roll post-wipeage (sorry, gross, I know)
3. Thou shalt bore thy physician and midwife to tears with the mentalling.
4. And thy husband/boyfriend/family/neighbour's cat.
5. Thou shalt obsess over the absence of symptoms.
6. And the presence of symptoms.
7. And the fluctuation of symptoms.
8. Thou shalt pee on a vast number of sticks and keep ClearBlue and First Response in business.
9. The day before any scan extreme mentalling is permitted without recourse to the Haddock.

10. Self-diagnosis with Dr Google is Forbidden.

The Haddock will be applied liberally to all transgressors.

My scan yesterday was fine except for a low placenta, which will need further scans in future.

blackkat how is your tummy this morning? It sounds like we had the same thing last night. I had really uncomfortable aches in very low tummy/groin and was just generally really uncomfortable. I put it down to trapped wind or something... Had lots of it this am!! also think pup was hiding low down yesterday, so prob just in an uncomfy position.

ninu yay for great nt results. A weight off your mind I'm sure as I know you wouldn't have wanted further tests.

Thinking of coconuts having her scan. Hope all goes well.

orange I've seen the trailor for pirates of the carribbean and didn't think it looked great, was a bit bored with the last one too. That said, I agree with pink if it's got johnny depp in it then it can't be all bad, and I'll probably still watch it anyway!!

wiw thanks for the tip that caprice des deux is on the 'ok' list. I've not had it, but am craving tastey cheese. Sick of cheddar and feta. I most miss goats cheese!!!!

Collie and Blackkat - I had the same thing too last night! Sorry to sound quite inappropriate but it was erm, low down in the pubic hair region of my groin (!) Felt kinda like a stabbing pain and then when I got up and walked around a bit it went. Then I had another low stabbing ache (minor stabbing, mind!) in the lowest possible part of my tummy above my groin this AM for a few minutes - like a pulling. Also got lots of wind this AM (not great to hold in an office). I ran to the loo to kicker check at work but the pulling pain was long gone.... I hope it's just bean or stuff moving about. (Sorry, from the above waffle you'd never thing I got an A at Biology A-level).

Not great news for me either - routine scan yesterday showd severe twin to twin transfusion syndrome - I should have trusted my instincts.

I'm under Kings and tankfully one of the best people in the world with TTTS experience is the professor there - had laser ablation to burn the connecting vessels in the placenta. The little baby had no fluid at all by yesterday morning and they took 1.5litres out from the big baby. Both were still alive one hour after surgery and now have to wait until Tuesday for another scan. Odds are 33% both die, 33% one survives and 33% both survive. Which, on a positive note is a 66% chance of at least one surviving.

Now have to spend the next four days driving myself insane about feeling movement / not feeling movement.

Silver - I'm really sorry to hear your news too. I keep on feeling (completely illogically) that I'll be next.

Am back :) All good, having a boy, due date is apparently 01/10/11 so will update the list shortly.

Emoo - I think I remember you from the October bus but I don't post on there as found it too hard to keep up with everyone.

Silver how frightening - thank goodness you had the scan when you did. I hope both the little ones are okay and remain that way and that you manage to remain sane for the next 4 days - are they keeping you in hospital or have they let you out?

Coconuts hoorah for the good scan - a big relief, yes?

Yes a big relief, I was nearly having a panic attack in the hot, overcrowded waiting room. They were running an hour late which didn't help. Feel happier now but how long until I panic about something else!?

Silver, I watched a program a while ago on TTTS and they were able to perform a procedure severing the blood vessels, is this a possibility for you? In the program, the procedure was done successfully and both twins survived :) Fingers crossed for you and the little ones xx

Silver soorry to hear you are going through such stressful stuff too. Thanks goodness they found it when they did and you had an export on hand to do the procedure. At least you know the twins have been given the best possible chance.

blackkat hope the painful stomach has gone. Every twinge is a worry isn't it? I sneezed the other day and got a stabbing pain in my side so obviously spent ages silently freaking out

Ninu great nt results, what a relief. That's the next thing on my start worrying about list!

Collie I'm really missing goats cheese too (although i did have a small bit in a tart the other day - burnt almost to a crisp but there was a faint taste of it! Did have a minor panic afterwards in case I'd caused another mc!)

The waters have completely gone around Alexander and I'm having contractions. Still in there for now but expecting them to go overnight at some point. DH staying tonight.

Dachs - I'm so so sorry. I really hope some miracle occurs to stop this.
