The (updated)(again)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome!

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

hello crow, pleased to meet you.

nervous maybe you could buy your OH one of those Ginger wigs with tartan hats attached to wear and say it's one of your ultimate fantasies. Wink

slipped on wet tiled footpath walking home today, saved myself from stacking it but think I pulled nearly every muscle in my body to do so. off to bed covered in tiger balm. no shagging tonight or has hubby so delicately put it, " don't you dare come near my balls with that stuff on". Milo in bed instead Brew

NervousNelly · 01/09/2011 14:13

at OH in a See-you-Jimmie hat Envy

chocolatemakesmehappy · 02/09/2011 09:06

No sleeping disorder here Nervous

In Singapore for the next few years, but the locals don't seem to be into JSing over here. They are a little shy even on the net. My best friend here is local, been married 10 years and still no kids. She is now encouraging me to get knocked up, always giving me bizarre herbal brews (cheating I know Wink). still prefer red wine as my drink of choice Wine

crowette · 02/09/2011 12:16

Woohoo, got control of the OH's laptop today Grin

Nelly I know where you're coming from with OH not being able to reassure you enough about getting PG ... even though he's been saying 'we really need one of these (baby)' while friend was here, the morning after they'd gone I had a dream where I got a BFP, a very strong one. It felt so real, then I woke up and it took a few moments for me to realise it had been just a dream Sad I got a bit tearful about 30 mins later, and he asked me if it was because of the dream, and then just sighed and said he didn't know what to say. I wanted him to tell me that it'd happen, that he's going to give up smoking, actually JS at the right times without getting 'pressured' (not that I ever pressure him, he just gets scared anyway). He says he wants one, is broody and that it'll be great, but then does nothing to back this up.

I'm scared of going to the doctor ... I'm nearly 40, have two daughters already, and after my Dr telling me I should count myself lucky I have them considering my age and weight after my MC a year ago, I'm terrified that my new Dr will be the same (not even registered with the new one since moving in December) and will not refer me to have any tests or treatment.

I thought I may have OVd on day 22 this cycle, but no, that was just a blip ... maybe me coming down with something, hence my temp being up, but it was back down again today. So still guessing. But hey, at least I've not missed out this cycle yet, so will have to seduce OH tonight, as we have a rare Friday night with no girls here, but they'll be here the next couple of nights.

I will go to the doctors to register on Monday - honest!! I may try chocolate's plan and get some red wine for this evening. I'm cooking a roast lamb dinner and making a plum crumble for afters, yummy!! Mind you, maybe I shouldn't do the pudding, as OH can no longer do up the button on his trousers or jeans, and has had to go buy new, larger ones Blush

chocolatemakesmehappy · 02/09/2011 12:41

crow definitely both of you eat the lamb, red wine and crumble. shagging requires energy. with it being a Friday with no girls, hopefully lots of shagging.

what is it with men not wanting to really really talk? :(

my grunting caveman on his way home from work with some white wine for dinner. excuse me while I go and change into something more comfortable Wink

crowette · 02/09/2011 13:00

Hahaha!! Sometimes my OH can talk the hind legs off a donkey, about anything, to the point where my eyes glaze over and I'm not taking any more in! But when it comes to anything that puts him under any possible stress, he doesn't want to know. He even got upset and stressy when I bought some senior food for the cat, as he said he didn't see her as senior and it upset him and I was making her old before her time Hmm I told him she is a senior cat (ten years+) so needs the extra vitamins, he just went all quiet on me and wouldn't discuss it ... until I gave the cat the food and she scoffed it all up, and suddenly I'm soooo clever and caring for getting her it.

Enjoy your white wine and dinner, and yes, make yourself extremely comfortable Grin

chocolatemakesmehappy · 03/09/2011 09:41

crow hope the lamb, crumble and red wine went down well and got hubby in the mood.
my seduction attempt worked....sort of....kept him distracted and on task for 10 minutes and then he was off on the computer doing work again. :(
I burnt his fish as revenge for being distracted hee....hee....
any seduction happening in your world nelly?

chocolatemakesmehappy · 05/09/2011 10:07

Tell me why
I don?t like Mondays
Tell me why
I don?t like Mondays
Tell me why
I don?t like Mondays
I wanna shoo-oo-woo-woo-woo-oot the whole day down.
Wine

NervousNelly · 05/09/2011 11:41

Lol chocolate. I hate Mondays too Smile.

No seduction here. We did JS on Thursday night. I was then away for the weekend. Then came home and had a huge huge fight about the fact OH had spent 6 hours cutting out our hedge in the garden? WTF?? Why? I have no idea, I'm angry on so many levels. He does no gardening, then all of a sudden decimates something that will take years to correct, exposes our house to the elements and prying eyes, takes away the birds hiding places, makes the garden look shit, and leaves me a ton of rubbish to clear up.

Could he not just have put on a wash instead AngryAngryAngry.

chocolatemakesmehappy · 05/09/2011 14:57

boys...boys....boys...brains on different planets.
I wish that all the homeless birdies and cute fluffy hedge animals gang up on your hubby next time he enters the garden.

as for a really big argument.....there is always make up shagging to be had. with no hedge for privacy you'd better make sure the curtains are shut Wink

reminds me of when my other half had to look after my vege patch whilst I was away, with instructions to pick out the growing tips off the runner beans...he picked off everything but the leaves :( no beans for us. after this incident I started calling him with vege patch instructions each night I was away, "Hun, have you put the veges to bed yet?"

Yes that is sad I know, my veges have become my equivalent of babies. About to set up a new balcony vege patch here as no luck reproducing offspring of a human form to love and care for. :(

NervousNelly · 06/09/2011 12:15

Gawd, just typed a message to find MN had logged me out. Anyway I'm sure it wasn't that interesting, other than to say we JS'd last night so things are rather more peaceful in the Nelly house, I had def OV pains and pantsnot yesterday, so fingers crossed for the timing. :)

Did you go to the doctors crow? I'm going to bully you about it until you do Wink.

Singapore Chocolate! I am very jealous Envy.

chocolatemakesmehappy · 07/09/2011 05:09

Singapore is great, but I did sacrifice a full time job, my vege patch, cheap but good red wine, and seasonal clothing changes to follow hubby here. Ahhh...the memories of my favourite knee high boots, jeans and puffy jacket. Constant warm weather overrated. Very jealous as you guys head into winter! Envy

However, part-time work is a nice change, my local boss is just lovely(tons of support during the epic mc experience), plus the food is yummy and in vast quantities. Exercise is very satisifying as you always work up a sweat, even walking around the corner to get icecream. Wink

nice timing on the JSing nelly.

I feel my JSing with possible chances is over for the month. Went from fully of energy and feeling sexy - to being a grumpy git in just two days. My cycle quite irregualr in length, but the grumpy mood usually a sign that I have entered the two week wait. I'll try to covet my husband more in the next two weeks and be a good JSer. "Try" is the operative word.

crow no putting off doctors visits, they are not all unsupportive idiots, you may just discover a good one. Please pass on an ear scratch and tummy tickle to your senior cat. At 10+ she deserves lots of love from everyone!

Must run, working the afternoon shift and need some caffine to spark me up a bit. Brew

crowette · 07/09/2011 08:56

Hallo ladies:)

Not been to the docs yet Blush but, to be fair, I was absolutely shattered on Monday - I thought I was coming down with a cold. But am fine after a dose of lemsip and an early night. Seems my 'long' cycle is going to be shorter than usual, as it appears I did ovulate on day 21, once I look at my overall temps. I know it's not true JS style, but it let's me know.when ERTD is due, so I don't get my hopes up during a long cycle. So, I'm now 8DPO. No chance of being pg this cycle, timing was all wrong. But at least next cycle is closer and it'll be a 'normal' one so I can time JSing better!!

The cat is NOT getting her ears scratched, until she starts eating the food she begs for, stops eating my house plant and eats the special cat grass I bought and grew for her Hmm my poor plant has the ends of it's leaves chewed off. The cat is so spoilt, OH has had her since a kitten, and he used to run a tap for her to drink from. I bought her one of those water fountain drinking bowls, but she's refusing to drink from it now (after a year!) and keeps running to the bathroom to let us know she wants water. She'll drink from the dirty fish bowl, but not from a bowl of fresh water put down for her, or fresh, filtered and running water that she drank from for a year. Stupid cat.

Singapore sounds lovely, but I don't deal with heat very well, and love our Autumn and winter here. Even the summers here (when we get one) are too hot for me. I loved living in Scotland, it was perfect for me - apart from living in a crappy flat with damp in the bedroom coming from the empty building next door, not being able to afford to run the storage heating and the landlord never sorting out the damp (a huge patch of fungus covering half the wall!!!) I'd go back there to live, if only OH could cope with the cold - but he can't Sad

chocolatemakesmehappy · 07/09/2011 12:32

nice to here from you crow glad you're feeling better. ok, hold back on the ear scratch, sounds like the cat needs a psych evaluation instead!

I'm with you on the frustration of a long cycle. mine vary from 28 to 36 days in length. Haven't done any temp measuring etc yet, just rely on my mood and pantsnot. Holding off on getting more serious predicting, made a deal with myself that no extra checking techniques until after Xmas if no luck. The two week wait is often three, just the right amount of time to get my hopes up. :(

I love Scotland too. Great mountains and scenery! Did Tower Ridge on the Ben a few years back on a climbing holiday. amazing views and perfect weather. Scotland is on the list of "places to try to get a job in the future".

Keep shagging girlsWine

NervousNelly · 07/09/2011 12:37

I like abut of both, weather-wise. I used to live in the Caribbean and LOVE the heat, but really missed the seasons, and layering up. But Scotland is amazing, the weather is just a bit too shite for my liking. South of France sounds about right for me. I also loved the NZ climate, though it's quite a long commute Wink.

Sorry you think you missed the window crow. I really am going to have to put more effort in, I'm on CD 13 or something and only JS'd twice so far Blush. We will let you off with the rule-break temping, but only once you've been to the doctor Angry Grin

josie you still about? Anyone else still lurking SES or babylann or miffles? hello if you are, and hope all is well Smile

NervousNelly · 07/09/2011 12:42

Cross post choc. if you come back to Scotland, bring the bloody sunshine Grin

Nothing wrong with a spoiled pussy crow . one of ours jumps in the bath for you to turn the tap on. And both will only drink out of glass so they use Gu ramekins. Im sure I've said on here before about not mixing up my PIAR with the cats water bowl Grin

chocolatemakesmehappy · 08/09/2011 09:05

what is the world coming to. cats in control of the humans. then again, my rat used to dig up potted plants (and looked so cute covered in dirt), wake me up in the middle of the night (and looked so cute I would not get angry), and had me cooking him porridge for breakfast (he looked so cute eating it and it kept him out of my breakfast bowl).

obsessing today....implantation cramps or worked too hard in Pilates class???? So easy to invent symptoms. ho hum.

Get that shag cape on nelly! Caribbean - now that deserves a Envy

NervousNelly · 08/09/2011 11:30

I am starving - does that count as a symptom? I'll ignore the fact I'm always hungry.

chocolatemakesmehappy · 08/09/2011 12:18

oooooh.....possible. hungry and preggers hungry, not much difference, last time had BFP I was massively hungry......until the morning sickness kicked in and I'd puke even at the smell of toast. best excuse ever to pig out right now!

bored. avoiding paperwork. symptom?

NervousNelly · 08/09/2011 12:54

LOL. Bored, avoiding work. On MN instead. Definite symptom. I think I'm 1 or 2DPO so we will ignore the fact that even if I was pregnant, I wouldn't be yet, IYSWIM Hmm.

It's a slightly better day here than it has been recently. Even got some washing hung out. I love working from home Grin.

chocolatemakesmehappy · 09/09/2011 07:38

Not sure if I've got the discipline to work from home. Whenever I bring paperwork home, it heads back to work the next day incomplete. Is it your own business nelly?

Just finished work for the day, exhausted. Symptom or just Friday? Hello couch and book.

NervousNelly · 09/09/2011 09:31

No far from it. It's a very large company I work for. I try to work from home a bit as saves commute/fuel and my cats love it! Some days I'm more productive than others though Hmm.

Tired is definitely a symptom. Of course that would mean I've been pregnant for the last 10 years Grin. Any exciting weekend plans?

chocolatemakesmehappy · 09/09/2011 10:15

Time to think about dinner and a glass of wine.

Nice your boss let's you work from home. My hubby has been trying to strike that deal for ages. Reckons he gets way more done at home without disturbances. I however, create my own disturbances. Grin

No exciting plans for the weekend other than not working. No covering of clients for my workmates allowed. No JSing either as hubby away. :(

Maybe plant veges, a walk in the jungle and a glass of wine .... or two.

Anything exciting happening in the motherland? sunshine perhaps? Wink

NervousNelly · 09/09/2011 11:13

Pouring rain you mean? Plenty of that . Thankfully i have a holiday to look forward to in 3 and a half weeks Grin

I think this is the first weekend in about 6 weeks we've not been out or away somewere. May have to rectify that! Although I have plenty to do and should probably be saving money for said holiday.

Walk in the jungle - aren't there massive scary spiders in Singapore Shock.

crowette · 09/09/2011 17:05

Hi ladies!

Tiredness and hunger ARE symptoms - I hope Grin but then I'm always tired and hungry (finding my daily B6 vit complex is helping that though)

I've no plans this weekend, it'll probably be the same as ever ... chill at home tomorrow with the girls, and work on Sunday Hmm OH and I have a week off together at the beginning of next month, the first week off together all year! He thinks we're just going to veg out, little does he know I'm planning to get all the decorating done in that week, and he IS going to help me.

Cat has been taken off her wet food, again. When she's on just the dry, complete stuff she's ok, just goes and eats it when she wants. When she has the wet stuff she gets very fussy and demanding, constantly chasing us in to the kitchen and meowing until she gets something, which she then sniffs and leaves - even though she'd eat it the day before. So that's it. No more wet food, no more water from the tap, if she's thirsty she can drink from her water bowl if she gets desperate enough. The good news is that she's now eating the kitty grass I grew for her ... I sprinkled it with 'kitty crack' (catnip) and she went mad for it!

Am getting ERTD cramps the last couple of days, feeling bloated and tired, so just waiting for the inevitable to happen, so I can get onto next cycle! Ho hum!
