The (updated)(again)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome!

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Oh Josie, that sounds truly horrible. Poor you, hope that your husband is giving you lots of love and support. Is it worth trawling your postings on here to check dates of times that they've been nasty to you. All contributes to that file which nelly suggested. I've had this happen to both my husband and brother. Both by people who bullied them. It's almost as if they look to kick someone who's already down. My sympathies.
And congrats on finding your cat nelly!
Nothing that exciting here. Shag cape on, acupuncture tonight and lots of accidentally defrosted food after leaving freezer in garage open- not that this last is v ttc connected. Stupid me.

JosieSmith1 · 14/07/2011 01:44

That's a really good idea caramel thanks for suggesting it. I'm on 2 weeks sick leave and am going 2 get advice from the union in the morning. I'm discussin my complaint and whether or not I should apply to move offices. Anyway, the pressure's off for the next 2 weeks (my 2ww incidentally) so I can relax for a bit.

Poo about your food caramel I hate when that happens

Go viroids. Sorry I've not been on. Work is really busy, and I'm still feeling pretty sad about my horse Sad. I'm really missing her Sad.

However I have managed to summon up some JS enthusiasm, so who knows, maybe a BFP will be her "gift" Wink.

Hope all well with you. The thread is so quiet just now.

NervousNelly · 15/07/2011 11:59

Go??? That should have been Hi. Oh dear.

BamBam21 · 15/07/2011 12:38

Hi everyone.

Sorry you are still sad about your horse nelly.Sad You've had a hard time lately with your animals. I truly hope that a BFP turns up for you.

Work sounds just awful Josie. I think it's a classic case of bullies running off telling tales when their victim starts to fight back. Cowardly swine, the lot of them. Hope you can relax on your 2 weeks off, and that it all works out well for you.Smile

I am still doing okay here. 10 weeks now.Shock I feel quite sick today, and I've strained my lower back, but I'm fine. Still struggling to stop smoking, and feeling crap and guilty about it, but will persevere.

Biscuit all round.Smile

JosieSmith1 · 15/07/2011 20:29

Hi Bam, sorry to hear you're under the weather but you'll get there. Enjoying my 2 weeks off so far although I'm still stressing about work. The union won't represent me as it happened before I joined but I've got some advice and will put in my bullying grievance and see what happens

Nelly fingers crossed you get your gift

NervousNelly · 15/07/2011 22:54

Hi bam, glad things are still going well, bump-wise, but sorry you don't feel great. 10 weeks already, time is flying. Don't be too hard on yourself - you are trying and that's the main thing. Keep trying. You'll get there :)

Josie glad you are enjoying the time off. I did wonder about the Union. I think your work have to allow you to have a witness/rep with you. I seem to remember one of the viroids is in HR, but not sure who Confused.

BamBam21 · 16/07/2011 10:19

Morning everyone. How are you all?

Glad you are enjoying your time off Josie. It's good that you have a bit of breathing space. I didn't realise that a union couldn't represent you retrospectively though. I'm no expert, but I agree with nelly that you have to be allowed a rep in to meetings with you.Smile

DP has taken DS into town today to buy a "baby seed"!Grin Basically, DS doesn't know yet, and he's only 7 so we don't want to give him all the gory details, so they are buying the "seed" today (probably a vitamin pill!) and then we can check that it's "growing" at the scan in 2 weeks.GrinGrin It was a problem working out how to tell him, as he asks constant questions about everything, so he's hard to fob off with daft answers, but hopefully this will work!Grin

NervousNelly · 16/07/2011 18:14

Hi Bam, have you managed to plant that baby seed yet Wink. Great idea, let us know how it goes!

OH and I went into town today and meet his sister, nephew and a friend for lunch. Was nice to get away from home and the noticeably empty stable, but his did is talking about starting to try for another baby in a couple of months. Anyway this was due to her job, timing etc, but then she said "oh but of course it could take ages to get pregnant, even a year".Hmm yes, thanks for that, it bloody well could, and does Angry. It's not fair of me to be cross with her as she has no idea we've been trying at all, let alone a year. But I'm still pissed off, as of course is my right as an old bag with a shrivelled up bunch of eggs (I assume, I have no idea really!). That said, I have a very sore ovary today so hopefully said egg is bursting free. We've managed early hours of day 8, early hours of day 10, and late hours of day 11 ( last night) so fingers crossed. I wonder if it matters that OH came home bladdered at 1.30 on Thursday morning and woke me up to shag. Lovely Confused.will his swimmers have been drunk too??

Hope you're having good weekends. Thunder here, which I love, makes ms feel like I'm on holiday!!

NervousNelly · 16/07/2011 18:16

Sorry for iPhone typos. I meant Sis not did. And met not meet. Grr.

BamBam21 · 16/07/2011 22:34

Hi nelly! We had thunder today too - fab! Hoping it will get rid of this nasty, murky weather we've had for the last few days.

Sorry that your OH's sis upset you, even though she didn't mean to. Hope you've had some lovely Wine tonight, and got some more shagging in!Grin

I have one very happy 7 yr old here tonight! DP bought some Sanatogen Mum to Be vitamins (which I take anyway) and we told him that's the seed! He is delighted, and convinced that as the pills are pink he will have a wee sister!Grin So lovely that he's so excited, but I knew he would be as he's been asking for a brother or sister for ages.Smile

NervousNelly · 16/07/2011 23:43

Ah bam well there is a very nearly empty bottle of Wine in front of me, and it wasn't even open a few hours ago. OK OH has had some, but I think I've had most of it Blush. I keep thinking I should cut down a bit, but honestly I've been TTC for a year, imagine how miserable I'd be if I'd been sober for all of it. Though perhaps I should point out that I don't drink a bottle of wine every night. In fact, there have been 3 nights this week when I've had none .

That is soo cute about your DS Grin. He must be so excited! Though I hope he won't be too disappointed if the seed grows into a boy instead Wink.

NervousNelly · 18/07/2011 16:25

Oh dear. I fear I have scared you off with tales of extreme boozinessConfused.

Come back!! I'm 2DPO and need company Smile

JosieSmith1 · 18/07/2011 17:59

I'm here Nelly Grin at your booziness. Of course you can't spend an entire year of TTC sober Grin Sorry your sis upset you but as you say, sometimes people don't realise what they're saying, once she starts TTC she'll probably realise how difficult it is.

Bam what a good way of telling your DS about babies Grin

Had my day 21 bloods today but need to go back next cycle and have them done again as I passed out and then had a fit on the floor of the nurse's room [bluush] I'm not surprised I did though as she put the needle in (which really really hurt), took a vial of blood, then took the needle out and stabbed it into my arm while she readied the next vial, then injected me again to fill the second vial etc. Apparently I was half way through the third vial when I fainted. I'm terrified of needles so that didn't help at all. Usually they put the needle in and tape it in place then just attach the vials one by one without having to take the needle out each time. Not looking forward to my day 3/4 bloods Confused Envy. Luckily DH was there because when I came to I was really disorientated and started panicking. I couldn't see as my pupils were fully dilated, didn't reemember where I was or who the people were around me so when DH said my name I started calming down as I knew he was there and then started remembering where I was. It was pretty scary! I feel ok now, just abit tired and a bit out of it still but I've been up and out of the house a little bit, should be back to normal tomorrow. And I'm off to meet an old work colleague who will bitch abut work with me Grin

P.S. not one person from work has been in touch to ask how I am Angry Nice to know I'm appreciated!

OP posts:
NervousNelly · 18/07/2011 18:22

Oh Josie how very scary for you. Thank goodness your OH was there, I'm not surprised you panicked Sad. Try not to worry about next time (I know, easy to say and not very helpful of me) but make sure you explain what happened and maybe ask them specifically how and what they are going to do? But I'm sure it will be fine! I am now worried though as I only had one vial taken each time Confused.

Still haven't done my swab and OH not been for his SA either. But then it's been shag week so I'll let him off. Hopefully Wednesday or Thursday though Hmm.

Hello to everyone else Smile

JosieSmith1 · 18/07/2011 22:38

Thanks Nelly I will ask them next time, or DH will if I'm too nervous Grin

I'm pretty worried about next time but she says from now on I have to lie on the bed instead of sitting on the chair. Apparently DH had to pick me up and put me on the floor, where I started fitting and kicking the wall BlushBlush and the nurse couldn't open my jaw as it had locked (to check I hadn't swallowed my tongue as I'd stopped breathing) so she had to do some medical thing whereby they can press on the back bones of your jaw to pop it open Shock

Ironically, she asked how I was with having blood taken and I said I don't like it but I've had it done before, and she asked if I'd ever passed out and I said oh no, nothing like that Blush

OP posts:
NervousNelly · 19/07/2011 09:06

Blimey that's a bit dramatic Josie! lying down will help a lot, don't worry you'll be fine next time Smile. I'm not a huge fan of needles, but just make sure I don't look and recite something in my head so I'm not focussing on what is happening.

NervousNelly · 19/07/2011 09:20

Though I've just thought, why do they need so much blood? I only had one vial taken both times (day 4 and day 21). Surely they have enough now? Confused

JosieSmith1 · 19/07/2011 20:48

I have no idea but surely they could do some tests n the 2 they got, then I''d only have to give another one Confused

Got my team manager coming to visit on friday though I'm not expecting much. I've written down what I want to say which is basically everything I have been feeling about work. I've told my little doggy to bite her ankles when she comes Grin

OP posts:
NervousNelly · 19/07/2011 21:12

Yes it's strange isn't it. I'm not sure what on earth they are going to be testing for Confused? Would it be worth phoning the GP to make sure they are doing something eg doing at least the progesterone test?

Is your team manager the one you are not getting on with? Hopefully not as I don't think she should be coming to your house?! I'd definitely ask someone impartial to be there. I don't know about you, but I find I'm on my best behaviour around people I don't know well, so it might help to take the heat out of the situation?

And failing all that, set the dog on her Grin.

NervousNelly · 20/07/2011 21:44

Hmm Viroids where are you all hiding? Are you all too busy shagging?

4DPO here now. I'm bored. And failing to stay off the wine Grin. Or should that be Blush.

Hope all is well with everyone.

JosieSmith1 · 20/07/2011 22:30

Shagging Nelly, what's that? Grin

Could be worth ringing the doc, at least then we'll both know what's going on. I think they're checking mine for progesterone and rubella and some other things I think, can't really remember Confused, at least they would have been. Maybe that's why they took more?

My team manager isn't the one I'm having bother with, although she's the one who's above her and has basically said get on with it Angry so I've written down what I want to say so I don't get flustered and forget things, and I'm going to tell her exactly how I feel, including being bullied and feeling like they want me out. I have told my dog (a bichon frise Grin) to bite her ankles. That's all she's capable of really Grin. She's so cute she was actually worried about me when I came back from docs, she kept whinging and watching me then came for a cuddle as soon as DH left me alone and sat on the duvet on the settee with me most of the day. She's got my back Grin

Hello - I'm here!! Just struggling to get chance to read and post. Life is a bit busy at the moment and it's only going to get worse as my boss is on holiday for the next 2 and a bit weeks and he's asked me to cover his role. Big responsibility and big opportunity so I hope I don't muck it up!

Josie - sorry to hear about the work issues you've been having. Also can understand how scary your experience in the nurse's room was. I had a similar fit once at school (in front of the whole class Blush ) and couldn't see for a few minutes when I came round. V embarrassing and scary all at once!

Nelly - LOL at tales of extreme booziness!

Hello Bam and anyone else lurkin!

In other news, our trip to Ireland for DH's birthday went well and we have a wonderful boozy time :) The surprise party I organised for him back here also went well so he should feel well and truly spoilt!

crowette · 21/07/2011 09:05

Morning viroids :)

My PC has well and truly died, so I'm having to rely on my phone until we get another one ... Not likely to be this year!

Josie so sorry for all you're going through. Use this time off work to regain strength and kick some ass!!!

Nelly you were right about being busy JSing Wink now that OH is 100% ok with TTC we are JSing loads more than before! Waiting to OV at the moment, so very busy! I'm thinking that the high dose of Evening Primrose Oil I was taking had delayed my ovulation, so has stopped that. I am trying out the cough medicine theory for increasing CM though ... it certainly has increased it! OH has even commented that I'm 'much more wet' when we JS (sorry for TMI) and doesn't even know I'm taking it. Fingers crossed it helps :)

SES good luck with filling in for your boss, they must think you're up to it, to have asked you to do it!

NervousNelly · 21/07/2011 09:22

Yay the viroids are back!

Josie you made me smile with your dog having your back. Hopefully you dint need it, but good to know she's there Wink

SES I agree that they must think you are up to it, I'm sure you will manage fine, it's exciting to be given opportunities like that. Good luck!

Crow great news on the JSingGrin. Harbingers that about cough medicine but it's an expectorant, so makes some kind of sense I guess. Instructions please! Do you take the one for dry coughs or chesty coughs Confused.

OH still not deposited his sample. I'm trying hard not to bully him but all the signs so far suggest I'm fine and I just want to know if he is too Angry. Must keep calm....
