The (updated)(again)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome!

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

janedoe25 · 31/05/2011 20:28

I am back after graduating the part 1 thread! Sadly my dd was stillborn at 40+6 weeks 3 months ago.
Fiance and I have decide to start SWI again, so it begins...........

NervousNelly · 31/05/2011 21:37

Janedoe - I am so so sorry about the loss of your dd - there are no words :( You are however very welcome back in to the JS fold, I joined in thread 2, so I'm beginning to collect dust! I wish you the fastest BFP possible, and a lovely baby at the end of it :)

I hope you are feeling chatty, bambam and I are beginning to feel abandoned Grin.

janedoe25 · 01/06/2011 07:38

Thanky you nervousnelly I am so excited and bloody scared at the same time! Well the JS has started and we are loving it Grin. I hope you get your BFP soon.

crowette · 01/06/2011 08:27

Morning ladies! Sorry you've been feeling abandoned Grin Just where is everyone else?!!

So sorry about your DD Jane but yes, welcome back :) I think I've been here since thread two, just like Nelly I conceived in my first cycle, but miscarried very early, am thinking I had a CP early in the year, but due to me being determined to NOT test until I'm a week late, I can't say for sure - certainly felt PG (having had 2 DDs, I know how I feel when PG). I'm being a bit naughty (in the context of the thread) and am now charting, but at least it's showed my progesterone levels could be on the low side and my luteal phase to be a little shorter than I'm happy with, which would explain not being able to sustain a BFP. So, before I go to the doc's, I'm trying some vitamin B6 to boost my levels.

Anyway, I had a lovely bank holiday weekend - DD2 had a dance show at the local theatre and OH and I went along ... I cried when I saw my baby up there (hardly a baby now though, at 11!) I also bumped into my ex inlaws for the first time in years, but they were nice for a change ... well, ex FIL was always nice, it was ex MIL who was the bitch dragon from hell not so nice.

Getting the shag cape out tonight hopefully, now that ERTD has gone!!

crowette · 01/06/2011 08:29

grrr, just like Nelly I've been here since thread two ... NOT that she and I both conceived first cycle! Blush Lost the poxy full stop after Nelly ... sorry!

NervousNelly · 01/06/2011 09:17

That's ok crow, I knew what you meant Wink.

Hurrah for Shag Capes all round. No sign of ERTD but still 6 days left. Going away for the weekend so no doubt it will arrive just in time for that Hmm.

Back in office today so better go do some work!

janedoe25 · 01/06/2011 09:27

Can i ask what ERTD means? Blush

crowette · 01/06/2011 09:36

Phew! I'm always so careful with my punctuation usually! I know my grammar isn't great, but it pisses me off when some people refuse to use even the tiniest bit of punctuation Blush There is one lady on another forum I use, who NEVER uses punctuation. Her posts are one long sentence, and she just says that she understands what she's saying, so everyone else should. No one can convince her that missing commas and fullstops can completely change the context of what she's trying to say!

Ok, rant over Grin I should be getting ready for work, but as usual I have no motivation. I have slowed right down at work now. I'm no longer pushing myself to get all they expect done - as it's an unreasonable amount. As a result, I'm no longer going home shattered and stressed. I actually have some energy and not falling asleep on the sofa after supper, or crying my eyes out because I'm stressed/hormonal/over emotional/tired. It feels good :) I'll get done what I can in the time. If I keep pushing myself, they'll expect it again and again. I don't get paid enough for that. Would be different if I was on a wage that warrants it, but mine doesn't ... so ner to them Grin

crowette · 01/06/2011 09:38

Jane ERTD is Evil Red Tide of Doom (Also AF, period etc) :)

janedoe25 · 01/06/2011 09:49

Thanks crowette. It was just plain old AF back in the day! Grin

crowette · 01/06/2011 10:08

Haha, I used to refer to it as AF, but as time went on it gained its evil status Wink

BamBam21 · 01/06/2011 10:10

Hi everyone!

Jane I am truly sorry to hear your sad news. I'm glad you feel ready to get "back in the saddle" though, and I wish you a speedy BFP!Smile

I don't know which thread I joined in TBH. I only got t'internet last November-ish, but I will have been TTC for 3 years in August.Shock I really hope I don't make it to the 3 year mark though.Smile

Good to see you crow, and glad you had a lovely weekend. You're quite right to slow down a bit at work. That kind of stress is no good for anybody.

Smile
NervousNelly · 01/06/2011 13:47

back to bambam :)

I'm on phone so apologies in advance for errors. I'm sure ERTD is brewing as I am showing more signs of my monthly Tourets, the general snapping and name calling is getting a bit excessive Blush. I've set my boss straight on a few issues today, which I hope isn't a career-limiting move, eek! Have decided if I do get unlucky this weekend it's off to the docs for me. Have been trying since August, but I'm now nearly 37 :(. Until I joined MN I thought this 35 year old landmark they talk about was an urban myth. I should probably start saving for IVF now Hmm.

See? Really bad mood. Hope everyone else is cheerier than me!

deemented · 01/06/2011 13:54

Hi folks Smile

I'm still here, just lurking more than posting. I think i'm on day 13 of my cycle so i shall jump manshapes bones later!

Since the miscarraige it seems that he's definately come round more to the idea of having 'just one more' whilst i'm the one getting a little cold footed. How mad is that?

BamBam21 · 01/06/2011 14:23

Hi dee, glad you're still around! Good luck with your shag-cape action later on!Wink I'm sure it's probably natural for you to feel a wee bit cagey after what you've been through dee. I'm sending you positive, sticky thoughts now.Smile

Smile Hope you're okay mi'dear. Maybe a nice Wine later will help?Wink

My news is that I've just signed up to be an Avon lady! Hurrah! I really hope I can make enough from it to save our flagging finances. Feeling really optimistic though.Smile

NervousNelly · 01/06/2011 15:43

Ooh yay our desperate begging witty banter has worked and the viroids are returning to the fold :).

dee I say just shag anyway! When OH was wavering recently i pointed out that getting pregnant was bloody impossible difficult, so why worry?! And if your body works better than mine, I'll wager you will be very excited indeed.

NervousNelly · 01/06/2011 15:45

Oh ps congrats on the Avon lady!!

BamBam21 · 01/06/2011 18:22

Thanks nelly! I think I will have a Wine tonight as well, just to celebrate! I really hope I can make a go of the Avon thing, and stop having to humph up to the job centre every fortnight. I just hope it works.Smile

Wine to all the viroids! Cheers!

BamBam21 · 01/06/2011 18:51

Oh my God viroids, I just did my usual random POAS as I was due on today, and I have a faint BFP!!HmmShockSmileGrin I just called DP and he's over the moon. Will be home soon. I think he is going to try to get a fancy digital pee-stick. I really hope this is it, as we got a faint line once before and then nothing, but this is a definite purple line!

Oh my God!

crowette · 01/06/2011 19:25

Ooooh well done Bam!! Fingers crossed your fancy digital gives the same result!!

As to the Avon thing - I did that years ago, but I spent all my profits on their stuff Grin dangerous job for a make up and toiletries junkie like me! I only had a small clientele though, as the woman who gave me my 'territory' didn't realise there was already someone canvassing that area Hmm and there were no others available apparently. I was very excited the other day to get an Avon book through my door, but I was good and only ordered some foundation as I've run out and the one I wanted was a fiver off, and the eyeliner 'glimmer stick' (was always very good IMO), plus a new lip gloss, because I don't have one in that shade of berry Blush

deemented · 01/06/2011 20:02

Oh Bam!!Am sooo excited for you, my lovely!

Now, FMU in the morning and you'll get a reading of 'Pregnant 1-2' Grin

janedoe25 · 01/06/2011 20:42

Ohh bam that sounds promising, eek i'm so excited for you! Grin

NervousNelly · 01/06/2011 21:17

Oh my!! I'm outside with my horse who had to be sedated earlier, supervising in case she chokes herself by resting her head on her stable door. Yes, they are that stupid!! Anyway, idly cruising internet to pass the time, only to find a BFP. Wooooo hoooooo to bam. so it looks like it's dedication to the thread that matters, not dedication to shag capes Grin. Massive positive digital vibes and sticky thoughts your way :)

BamBam21 · 02/06/2011 09:22

Morning ladies!

Thank you for all your lovely comments. I'm still in shock! DP got the digital thingumibob last night, I peed on it immediately, and, you're right Dee, Pregnant 1-2!Grin I think total nonchalance must have done the trick, as I was so convinced that ERTD was on the way, and I only tested out of habit!Blush DP is over the moon, and I really want to tell my mum. I am so much more jittery than I was with DS though - I think I took pregnancy totally for granted last time, but I'm aware of every possible risk this time.

Nelly hope your horse is better. Is she better now in general, as I remember she was awful poorly for a while?

Crow I had intended to flick through all the Avon stuff last night, but it got a bit forgotten in the excitement!Smile They have some lovely stuff, and I've been given quite a big territory.
