The (updated)(again)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome!

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Hmm crow that all sounds a bit stressful. Now I don't know whether to hope your ERTD turns up or not? I certainly hope it's not a CP. Step away from the Google though . Nothing but trouble there. Have fun knicker checking though, and we'll all be ready with the bunting, or the consolation prize of lots of chocolate and wine.

I've lived in the caribbean (and now my sister does, that's the holiday we are planning) but not, sadly, in a mansion with an infinity pool Grin. Anyway, it's not all it's cracked up to be - mosquitoes, hurricances, crap customer service, intermittent power supply, rubbish shopping, food shipped in from miles away. The only plus was the year round sun-tan Wink. See, now you feel better about not living there, don't you??!

Bambam thanks for the kipper, I'm back to normal now. I'm a bit jealous of your ghost. I live in an old house, and the only ghostly thing about it is the see-through palour of my skin in winter, as it's so fecking cold :(

crowette · 27/05/2011 10:57

haha!! Thanks for the kipper Nelly! I'm just getting more and more confused at the conflicting opinions, so going to do as you say Grin

You've also made me feel better about not living in the Caribbean - so back to looking at mansions in West Sussex instead ... it's all Law of Attraction stuff you know, if I act as though I'm going to live in a place like that, then it will happen! Wink

Bam that's one reason I'm not testing yet - if I get a BFP and then ERTD turns up a week later again, it'd be more upsetting than not knowing if I'm PG or not and just thinking ERTD is late. With the miscarriage, the implantation bleed was heavier though - and bright red. But did just last the day. BFP 2 days later (4 in all, over 3 days) but then miscarried a week later. I only had a teeny bit of very light pink CM on the tissue when I wiped yesterday evening, we JSd anyway and I was expecting there to be more spotting/blood after, but nothing! If temp drops again tomorrow, I know I'm out. If it rises again, then maybe I'll test on Sunday.

BamBam21 · 27/05/2011 14:23

How are you now crow? Hope the spotting is still staying away.

I just got back from Tesco to find a rejection letter from yet another job. Even though I don't actually want to work, we need the cash, and this job sounded really good. So disappointed.Sad Might just get rat-arsed tonight and forget all about it.Wine

Your new bathroom sounds lovely nelly. I'm quite Envy actually, as our bathroom is like a cupboard, and the screen door on the bath/shower leaks and gets manky mildew on it that won't come off. Lovely! Also, like crow, quite fancy a mansion, maybe in the Borders somewhere!Smile

NervousNelly · 27/05/2011 15:40

Oh bambam that's rubbish about the job. What sort of jobs are you applying for? I could look around at my work if I knew what sort of thing you were interested in. It's a good location for you and large enough that I'd never figure out who you were Grin. And a good maternity package Wink.

Hmm I know what you mean about the bathroom. We've lived in this house for 3 years and I've hated the bathroom since day 1. It's a sort of dirty cream coloured suite, the taps barely work, the toilet has a see-through seat with fish on it, and the entire room is tiled in beige Hmm. There's also carpet (dread to think what's in that Shock) and the paint on the roof is peeling as the extractor fan doesn't work but it's too cold to open windows. Oh, and no storage to speak of. That said, I've just done the pricings and if we get the suite and cupboards we want plus the other paraphenalia, then it's nearly £3k without fitting!!! And those are just fairly bog-standard B&Q style Angry. We will have to therefore do some serious shopping around, plus wait for any sales, before we can even consider it. But we can't do it in bits, the room is so small we have to have fitted furniture if we want storage, and you can't do that without replacing the sink/loo at the same time. .

Crow I really hope you get good news/no more spotting. 2ww is such a bitch. I also hope you are enjoying your day off!

Must get back to work, there is something I have to get done and I've been putting it off all day. I'm such a procrastinator. I echo bambam though and issue a war-cry to everyone. Come out Come out wherever you are Grin.

BamBam21 · 27/05/2011 16:34

Thanks nelly.Smile I'm just looking for part-time admin work really. I might look into the new Amazon place that's opening though, as they are at the old GPO building in Edinburgh and would be dead handy for the train.

Still have my fingers crossed for crow!Smile

crowette · 27/05/2011 19:17

Buggery bollocks and all things twattyness!! More spotting - bright red and cramping Sad

Baileys is definitely getting guzzled later, along with the yummy raspberry brulee cheesecake, after the spag bol that is simmering away right now!!

Think I will pop to doc's and see about getting some kind of progesterone supplement, as my temps are still on the low side after OV, not good for a sticky bean!

caramelgirl · 27/05/2011 19:33

So sorry Crow, was lurking away and crossing my fingers and toes for you. Hope that the doctor can give some good advice or supplements. It's so horrible when you feel that you were almost there isn't it?
Big hugs and also big Sussex sympathies- tho' my dream is East-side so we'd probably be on opposing, rather genteel, gangs.
Hope that the baileys helps x

BamBam21 · 27/05/2011 22:14

Really sorry crow.Sad Guzzle that Bailey's and cheesecake! Hope you are okay.

My dream is either the Borders, or East Neuk of Fife.

NervousNelly · 27/05/2011 23:10

Oh no crow that sucks :( Self-medicating with Baileys is the best way forward, definitely. Maybe you've won Euro-millions instead??

to caramel, hope all is well. Your genteel gangs made me laugh Grin

Exciting news, we've booked our holiday for October, yay! And I have completely totally not checked where I will be in my non-existent pregnancy Hmm.

As if I didn't need a kipper for that, I've just spent most of the evening reading a massive thread for those TTC for over 6 months, and have now worried myself sick about all sorts of things that might be wrong with me Confused. I have seemingly normal cycles, but the longer this goes on the more I think I don't really know when I OV, and we probably have missed many chances by being so clueless. Anyway this month we've JS'd every 2 days since day 8. I had some pant snot, but only had the briefest abdominal twinges around then. I think my pantsnot was last weekend, but today I have definite pains. So either a) it means I've ovulated a week after pantsnot (that's not possible, right?), b) I'm 5DPO and it means something or c) I'm 5DPO and I am already lining up for ERTD

JosieSmith1 · 28/05/2011 00:53

Evening everyone (or should that be morning?)

Just a quick catch up, sorry you've got spotting and cramping Crow

Nelly how scary! Glad you've got everything sorted though

Well, I didn't get the new job Sad I wasn't expecting to after a rubbish interview though. I'm disappointed but not too gutted. Everyone has given me fab messages of support so I just feel like I didn't quite get there this time but I will next time.

My best mate who's getting married in July just walked out on her fiance. She's back now but I'm really really worried about them. So I'll probably be very busy over the next few weeks doing damage control and being a shoulder to cry on, or things might go the other way and I might be busy with wedding plans Confused

OP posts:
crowette · 28/05/2011 11:12

Thanks ladies - feeling pretty grotty, ERTD arrived in full force last night and is letting me know about it, cramps and backache. But got my girls here for the day and night ... DD1 off to watch a battle of the bands final tonight, and DD2 has her dance show tomorrow and Monday. They get out more than I do!

Sorry to about the job Josie, also about your friend ... maybe it's just pre-wedding stress/jitters?

caramel I'm yet to look at the properties on the east side, just put off by knowing a twattish ex lives there Grin

Nelly and Bam still didn't touch the Baileys! OH kept making me cups of Earl Grey instead.

NervousNelly · 28/05/2011 12:39

Oh crow sorry about ERTD :(. Don't worry about your girls social life. I have a young mum and she is now out ALL the time! I feel like Saffy from Ab Fab Hmm. That'll be us in a few years Grin.

Sorry about the job Josie. I hope you are at lest able to take some confidence from the fact you did ok in the actual interview? Next time it'll be your turn :)

Just heading out, chat later.

JosieSmith1 · 29/05/2011 15:45

Sorry ERTD got you properly Crow, it got me too yesterday. The next cycle is cycle 12, if it doesn't work this time we're off to the docs to start the tests.

Yes Nelly I think I did well confidence wise in the interview, I know I didn't answer the questions well but I said everything confidently and didn't just babble my way through it like I did last time! Next time I'll be even more prepared and confident. I'm gonna ring and ask them exactly what they were looking for as they'll be looking for the same thing next time.

Having a quiet weekend. DH is at work but when he finishes we're gonna get started on the garden! Can't wait!

OP posts:
caramelgirl · 29/05/2011 20:43

Oh Josie, sorry to see about job. Getting interview is definitely a v good sign, so if you can get some honest feedback you'll be getting there. And ugh re: best mate, that sounds really difficult either way. I have to say that I am quite an all or nothing person, so can't imagine breaking up with people and then getting back together and marrying. But several of my friends have done just that and are v happy together (one of them has just had a little boy after 15 months of trying, I met him-now two months old- on Thursday and he was very very cute)
.
We have had guests for weekend again, very nice, but we've been either away or hosting for literally the whole of April and May and will also be nearly all of June too. It does make making babies a bit trickier, especially with a little one already around.
My new I'm so gullible I'll believe any old hippy rubbish approach is to take She Oak which is an australian botanical extract in brandy solution! Remarkably after being abstinent for 8 months it did cheer me up alot, but actually resulted in obvious ovulation and my DH saying that I "smelt hormonal" (he is a supernose so sniffed when I got pregnant, when I was going to miscarry, tho' didn't tell me until afterwards, and used to be my period warning system as I was rubbish at tracking them until I became obsessive started paying attention whilst ttc#2 these last few months.
So a vote for hippy stuff for me, tho' am in two week wait so we'll see if brandy enhanced conception attempts actually work.
Night all

BamBam21 · 30/05/2011 10:07

Morning everyone!

Sorry ERTD got you both Josie and crow.Sad It's day 26 for me today, so I think I'll be joining you both very soon. Boobs hurting like hell, but no cramps yet.

I like the sound of She Oak caramel! I'm quite into any hippie remedies, as I find the idea of them more gentle and less scary than "proper" medicine. I might look it up. Mind you, I don't know if it's dodgy ovulation, dodgy sperm, dodgy eggs or anything else with us, I just can't face going to the doctor to find out. It's been 2 years and 10 months for us now, but I live in hope!

Ah well, time to make a start on cleaning up the chaos that is our flat on a Monday morning!

NervousNelly · 30/05/2011 13:37

Caution: self indulgent rang follows.

Day off today. I've been asking OH for 3 days now to either do some strimming or start the strimmer so I can do it. Got back from the recycling place just now to find it with the hedge trimmer attachment, he's decided to take out a shrub. I'm raging as a) I do All the work in the garden, all the weeding, pruning, bug alert, more weeding, choosing what goes where, more weeding. He never helps or shows any interest, or pays for a single plant, but suddenly decides to make a decision and just do it. And B) because although not a nice shrub, it hides our unsightly garage, so I'd decided it had to stay for now. And, I'm literally just back from the tip, so now we are going to have all this stuff lying around again, and damn sure he won't take it. So I've scored "take stuff to tip" off my list; only to immediately replace it with "take stuff to tip".

Mostly I'm annoyed because I know I shouldn't be THIS annoyed, which means my mood is pmt. It's CD19 so that means either a very short cycle or I've got a week of knowing we failed this month, before ERTD shows up. Fuckity fuck. Angry.

Right feel better for writing it down. Sorry for offloading. Off to tidy up the debris he has inevitably left around...Hmm.

BamBam21 · 30/05/2011 14:15

Oh nelly, have a Brew and a Biscuit. Or even a Wine! In the World of Man, he probably thought he was doing you a really good turn! And feeling emotional can be a symptom you know?Smile

NervousNelly · 30/05/2011 20:51

Shoosh BamBam, I don't need that kind of encouragement Grin. But thanks for the Brew. Though now I'm on the Gin instead, mmmmm. Hopefully your sore boobs mean something else entirely and ERTD stays away! I'm impressed by your dedication to JSing. Like Josie if I'm not up-duffed this cycle, I'm going to see what science can do for me.

I'm feeling a lot calmer now, OH managed to get the shrub out, has promised to take it to the tip this week, he DID strim around the grass, so I managed to do all my other chores and the garden is now looking a lot nicer, phew :).

As for the other, well I'll just have to hope I'm wrong, and it was JUST a bad mood Hmm.

caramel, if I were you I'd put your OH to good use and make his supernose earn his keep! Can you imagine the hysteria if the MN Conception board get hold of him? It'd probably be a lot easier than peeing on sticks and stuff Grin. You could probably retire on the profits. Meanwhile, join me in the 2ww fun of making up symptoms.

Ooh nearly forgot, we had sex last night, just for fun! No ovulation, no agenda. That earns a JS gold star, no? Grin.

BamBam21 · 31/05/2011 09:45

Morning all.

Hope you enjoyed your gin nelly! We were very good and just drank tea, and a glass of milk for me, last night. No JSing though, as DP was very tired, and so was I really. We managed on Sunday night though. Also glad that you and your OH are chums again!Wink

I agree that caramel could make a fortune hiring out her super-sense OH! He could wear a special bib, like those drug dogs at the airport!Grin My DP reckons that he could smell when his ex-W was PG, and I keep hoping he'll tell me that I do, but it never happens.SadSmile

Where, oh where, are all the other viroids? If any of you are lurking, please just pop in to say hello.

BamBam21 · 31/05/2011 12:51
Smile
NervousNelly · 31/05/2011 13:48

.

I wonder if our thread is now too cryptic? Perhaps no-one looks in because it's not clear who the thread is for? Maybe if we keep chatting shite, it'll get on most active and pique some interest? Either that or we go on to other threads and tempt them with talk of hassle free sex Hmm. .

Any more symptoms today?

Where's babylann? haven't heard from her in a while?

BamBam21 · 31/05/2011 14:22
Smile

I've been wondering about babylann too. Hope she's okay.

You could be right about the thread title nelly. We still have about 730 posts until we need a new thread though!Confused

No more symptoms for me. I've had really tiny spotting, and the tell-tale crampy feelings that foretell my impending doom.

NervousNelly · 31/05/2011 14:36

Ah it's such a nightmare. Doom indeed Angry.

I've tried to read through a few other threads looking for potential victims but they're scary! I don't understand the subtext in most of them. I suspect this is because I'm not clever enough Hmm. That's why I like this one; we just drink, chat, and have sex :)

No further signs of ERTD from me yet but it's still early. No signs of up-duffed-ness either though.

The bad news is I'm back in to the office tomorrow so my MNing will be rather more restricted. Work gets in the way of so much other stuff.

NervousNelly · 31/05/2011 14:38

Right, off for a Brew.

(lots of separate posts is the way forward )

BamBam21 · 31/05/2011 14:41

Ah nelly you may have hit on something there! We should just write one word per post, so a single post would actually take up about 50! We'd be on most-active in no time!Grin

Enjoy your Brew. I'm just about to nip out to collect DS from school. It's great having a school less than 5 minutes from the house!Smile
