The (updated)(again)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome!

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Morning Viroids!
Sorry for not posting over the last couple of days - it's been a tough week this week. Very dear friend of mine passed away suddenly, funeral was yesterday. Heartbroken, but blown away by the number of people who turned out - the vicar said it was the most he had ever seen at the crem (and he does 6 a day!) which she would have loved. Overwhelming to see so many people. I just wonder if she knew how much people loved her? We never seem to say it enough to people while they're with us...

Don't want to bring the thread down with sad news - actually had a really 'good' time at the wake, lots of old girlfriends back together again etc. Lots of questions about why I haven't had children yet (grr) carefully dodged mind your own f-ing business

Very exciting news about your DD crow - what a big step! I'd definitely suggest going to visit a couple with her? There is a world of difference between a city centre uni and a more rural campus based experience... And all your symptoms sound very positive Grin - I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Good news about the lump nelly you must be so relieved! Hurrah for lumpy breasts!

Garden sounds like a fabulous summer project Josie - so jealous! We have no garden (still!) despite starting to try and level it last year, build retaining wall etc. But lack of funds and time brought it all to a halt. Would be fabulous to barbecues all summer - a party garden!

Just realised how much I've typed - so to all the other viroids - keep on shagging!

BamBam21 · 25/05/2011 10:34

Hi everyone.

Sorry to hear about your friend Lucy. That's really sad news.Sad

Glad to hear your lumpy boobs are fine and dandy nelly! You must have been worried though. Glad everything is fine.

I am still on the 2WW, and it's dragging on. I have tender nipples (althoughh not too bad) and have felt a bit emotional. Annoyingly though, I got cystitis and had to get some of those horrid drinks for it. It says on the box "Not recommended in pregnancy" but hopefully all will be fine. I had to take something! Anyway, I read in my pregnancy book that pregnancy can actually cause urine infections in some women, so, ridiculously, I'm hoping it's a symptom!Grin One week to go until ERTD is due, so a few days to wait still.

NervousNelly · 25/05/2011 14:21

Haha my poor old lumpy boobs :). They're a bit tender today, but that'll be cos they were squished and poked and prodded so much, it's definitely not a symptom Hmm.

Lucy that's so sad :(. I've attended a couple of funerals in the last 3 years of people my age. They've always been heart-breaking, but like you it was overwhelming how many people attended; and I think both families took great strength from that. Big virtual hugs for you.

I'm loving all the made up symptom spotting going on Grin. I've had some pant snot but only the briefest of belly twinges- I normally get signs for a couple of days. So not sure if I've OV'd yet, therefore my over- worked shag cape will have to be picked up off the floor again tonight. I'm sure it needs a wash by now Hmm. I'll then join you in the 2ww madness! I have the kipper at the ready .

Wasn't someone (crow?) overdue ERTD?

LucyLasticNeeGrumbler · 25/05/2011 15:50

Thank you for the hugs ladies
boo for the 2ww! I think it's worth convincing yourself you haven't OVd yet ust to prolong shag week so that there's something to do rather than just waiting!!!!

any news crow?

NervousNelly · 25/05/2011 18:34

Ah I like your thinking. I can at least persuade OH that shag week needs to be the Shag 2-week Grin

crowette · 25/05/2011 21:32

evening viroids!

Hugs to Lucy, like Nelly, I've also attended the funerals of friends around my age ... it's so very sad and unfair.

No news here ... still no ERTD, could be due today, tomorrow or day after going by previous cycles Hmm Temp took a dip this morning, and I've had a few mild cramps this evening, so just waiting for it to turn up. Bum.

Am taking my mind off it by browsing house porn for when we win the Euromillions ... some stunning properties out there Grin

NervousNelly · 25/05/2011 22:20

Ah crow that's rubbish - I hope you're wrong, but if it turns up, remember, there is always Wine.

I'm never sure about House Porn. It just depresses me about all the dream houses I can't afford! Maybe what I do wrong is look at the houses "only" a couple of price brackets up, whereas I should look at the gazillion pound mansions Grin.

crowette · 25/05/2011 22:45

Well, OH and I are sure that we're going to win 100million+ Grin so we're looking at the gazillion pound places! But honestly - some of them are soooo bland, just huge rooms in shades of beige, stone and grey. Oh and pelmets, loads of poncey pelmets! I've had pelmet rage looking at them.

We have similar tastes in some homes, but opposing in others - I love converted churches, the architecture it gorgeous, but OH hates it. I saw a lovely gothic style place, and was like 'wow!! But OH just pulled a face. So we need to win enough to buy a couple of places each to statisfy our tastes.

NervousNelly · 25/05/2011 23:15

It's good to dream :)

Just saw from stalking the Grads thread that sleepycaz got a BFP. Woo hoo!! Lots of sticky thoughts for her :)

crowette · 26/05/2011 00:15

I've been lurking there too ... can't believe how far along a lot of the viroids are now. Doesn't seem all that long ago they got their BFPs.

NervousNelly · 26/05/2011 10:31

I know crow, I remember the ramekin frenzy like it was yesterday!

Any news from you? Has the wicked ERTD showed up or are you still in suspense?

bambam what about your exciting symptoms? Anyone else? Where is everyone anyway!! I think we need to recruit some more viroids! If anyone is lurking and fancies joining in, please do. The only requirements are shag capes, a fondness for wine, and a desire to have sex Even When You Aren't Ovulating Shock!!

We managed yet more shag-cape shenanigans last night so that's days 8, 10, 12 and 14 Grin. I think this is the first month we've really gone for it! Though I know OH was well aware that it was Shag Week, which does take the allure off a tiny bit. But I reckon he's not complaining too much Wink.

Working from home today. It's cold. Should I a) light fire and snuggle in lounge b) put heating on and remain at my desk or c) go back to bed with a cup of tea Hmm.

BamBam21 · 26/05/2011 11:14

Hi viroids.

I agree nelly - we definitely need some new viroids to freshen things up around here. I am really pleased for sleepycaz but she should have been on this thread sharing her good news!Grin

I now seem to have got rid of the urine infection but have thrush in its place!BlushShock Yet another made up symptom apparently, as the boost of oestrogen can make things go a bit funny "down there"! Apart from that, sore boobs and feeling bloated. I just can't seem to convince myself this month though. Usually I'm so excited and wanting to test, but I think I've finally reached the stage where I can't get too excited.

NervousNelly · 26/05/2011 11:40

SBE maybe? Shagger of the British Empire Grin.

Hurray Boo for Thrush. It's not nice is it? I know what you mean about being "over" testing. I rarely get the chance. Either my body gives me days worth of warning in the form of a foul mood and spotting; or ERTD turns up early, before I'd even begun to locate the ramekins.

BamBam21 · 26/05/2011 12:12

Baroness Nelly, Peer of Mumsnet, for Services to Shagging Grin

I really am fed up with the whole thing to be honest. I know I should be doing more to live a healthy lifestyle to help things along too, but it's not as easy to be focused on myself as it was before DS came along. I feel like I'm stuck in a rut, and the more time passes, the bigger the rut becomes. I really feel just now like it's not meant to be for us.Sad I have seen so many viroids come and go, and we were trying for about 2 years before we even got the internet and I joined on here.

Please feel free to kipper me for bringing the thread down!

Loving your house-porn crow! I like old buildings too, I think they have so much character and atmosphere about them. I worry I might get spooked by them though! Mind you, we live in a '60s built flat, and both DP and I have been aware of a little girl running around, and also have both heard a man's voice. They both seem quite friendly though!

crowette · 26/05/2011 13:00

Hallo ladies :)

Still no ERTD, CD28 and 13DPO - over my previous luteal phases by a day! No cramps, but stabbing/pulling low down on the right of my tummy. Also stabby boobs now and then. Temp had massively dipped this morning though, but then OH had hogged all the duvet Grin So waiting a bit longer to test.

Am at work, having a sit down but having to get back to it soon ... Roll on 6pm!

BamBam21 · 26/05/2011 13:29

Oh crow, everything crossed for you!Smile

NervousNelly · 26/05/2011 15:35

Oooh crow that is exciting! We'll ignore the temp dip and assume it was due to the draught :)

I've just read back through the thread and we haven't seen Becs for a while, since her honeymoon I think? Also Babylann and caramelgirl have been quiet recently. Anyone heard from SES since her BFP? Not sure I've seen her on the grads thread?

OK I'm probably only on about day 2 of the 2ww and I'm bored already. I have no patience, I'll probably make a terrible mum Hmm.

I probably should get back to work. I'm researching bathroom furniture instead, whoops!

LucyLasticNeeGrumbler · 26/05/2011 19:56

crossing my fingers for you crow - sounding positive!! We need a BFP - it's been a while! Maybe you'll start the first of a run? anything that'll give me hope is a good thing!!!

Your house sounds intriguing Bam - does it not scare you? I once lived in a student house that had previously been a retirement home - lots of bumps in the night - and a door that would open and close itself (knob turning and everything). Never had a good feeling about the building, felt sort of shivery and I moved out after a few months. I'm guessing you must have a good feeling about your house though?

Sending out positive thoughts to nelly and any others on the 2ww. Just dtd all the way through it and pretend the whole thing's one long shag week? Passes the time at least!

crowette · 26/05/2011 20:18

Sorry ladies - I started spotting when I got in from work Sad got a bit upset, and OH and said we can start trying again right away, I told him it's not going to work like that Grin but we ended up having a consolation shag anyway, with the promise of loads more in about 10 days time Wink

I expect ERTD in its full 'glory' tomorrow Hmm

I've got pizza, Baileys and Galaxy in the meantime!

NervousNelly · 26/05/2011 22:36

Oh no Crow that's rubbish. Fucking ERTD Angry.

However, I do like the way you are dealing with it. I'm now craving Baileys :) But I'm holding off booze for tonight - nothing to do with JSing, just to give my liver a rest!

I am fully intending to subscribe to your plan of dealing with the 2ww, Lucy. Poor OH is going to be begging for a rest.

We're looking to book a holiday in October to go and visit my sister. I've just committed a cardinal sin, and counted how many months it is, so I know how pregnant I'll be Hmm. .

crowette · 26/05/2011 23:21

Ended up on Earl Grey tea instead of Baileys somehow! Galaxy is still untouched too - amazing!

Am cheering myself up with more house porn, although I've now extended my search to overseas ... the Caribbean, to be precise! I want a villa with huge terraces, outdoor rooms and massive infinity swimming pools that are just outside your bedroom ....!

crowette · 27/05/2011 09:38

Morning Ladies :)

Well, no more spotting yet, no cramps either Hmm temp went up a little this morning. Where is ERTD? Is usually here the morning after spotting and temp dip!

It's a bit too much like the cycle I miscarried, so I've been googling like mad and am thinking that I have a lack of progesterone ... so will make an appointment with the Dr to see if I can get some help there.

Just as well I have the day off work - loads of time for knicker checking Grin

How are we all today?

BamBam21 · 27/05/2011 09:48

Morning everyone!

Crow I hope you are okay, and I'm hoping that maybe you just had a wee bit of implantation spotting there. Let's face it, if it was really ERTD, the Bailey's and Galaxy would've been demolished, so something must be up!Grin

Lucy our flat is a bit odd sometimes, but not in a frightening way (except on Monday night when DP got stranded in Edinburgh due to the high winds and I was home alone with DS!). I once lived in a flat that really scared me though. I used to lie awake terrified, as I just "felt" somebody watching me, and they weren't friendly.Confused

crowette · 27/05/2011 10:17

Ha, I am hoping that too Bam, but not getting my hopes up. Everything I've read about late implantation points to chemical pregnancy or miscarriage (as it did in Sept)Sad It would explain the stabbing and pulling I felt most of yesterday. I've only got my pre-conception vits that contain some vitamin B6 which is meant to increase progesterone levels, maybe I should run over to Tesco and stock up on food which can also help Grin

Still expecting ERTD to turn up though.

I've been lucky with the places I've lived in, never felt anything bad in them ... even though my ExH and I were sure our first home had something there. Things would go missing, only to turn up again after we'd told the 'ghost' to put it back (usually me suddenly thinking 'oh I'll check there', and finding it straight away) and lights being left on when we were sure we'd turned them off. But nothing evil. The only unfriendly place I lived was due to a the housemate - she had issues!!!

BamBam21 · 27/05/2011 10:29

Oh crow it must be awful having the bad memories of the miscarriage hanging over you. It's never "officially" happened to me (although I am sure it did once, very early on) but I really feel for you.Sad I am sticking to my theory that a pre-ERTD woman would NEVER leave Bailey's and Galaxy untouched!Smile

The absolute most scary place I have ever stayed was an apartment in France, on honeymoon with ex-H. There was just a very bad feeling in one part of the apartment, just by the bedroom door, and I felt as though somebody very nasty was standing there. Ex-H said he felt it too, but promptly fell asleep, but I stayed awake for ages saying the Lord's Prayer over and over. After about 3 nights of this, the feeling just completely went away. Very strange. I like to think it was my arse of an ex that the ghost didn't like!Grin
