Was it a natural mc, edward? If so I think you're good to go after the bleeding stops. You should wait for the bleeding to stop because of the increased risk of infection. I think after an ERPC there is a possibility that the lining of the uterus could be too thin, and that's why they advise you to wait til after one AF. That and dating. Don't be too worried if it doesn't happen straight away, some people's bodies take longer to adjust back than others. Best of luck!

Morning all! The sun is shining and apparently it's going to be hot here...lovely! I am very ummm...mucousy today but still no :) on the sticks...hmmm....I've got my fourth reflexology session today, and then he has advised me to go fortnightly or 3 weekly, I hope by the next one I'll feel 'sorted'.

Hello Edwards. I didn't wait for my period but then it sneaked up on me a week after the bleeding stopped so I didn't have a chance to get pg anyway! And since then I've been bleeding more than I haven't (3 week cycles where the bleeding has been light and lasting about 10 days...really annoying, until this month when I had a more 'normal' but very heavy period). I would consider doing a test now though to check that it is negative if you are still bleeding, 3 weeks is a long time, and a negative test would confirm that everything has come away, and you can start tcc with a clean slate as it were.

Hi Ninu, nice to see you!

There are lots of you ladies at the top of the list...any news?

Waves to everyone else!

OP posts:
Collie2 · 21/04/2011 08:47

Morning everyone.

Welcome Edward sorry for your loss. I can imagine bleeding for 3 weeks is very frustrating and I understand the desire to ttc again as soon as possible.

As ninu and yrmotb have said you should be ok to ttc as soon as you stop bleeding, but you shoukd take a pg test when you stop to make sure you get a bfn first, so you know what's left of the mc is gone, iyswim. As yrmotb said, if you had an erpc then do advise to wait a bit longer. Good luck xx

how is everyone? yrmotb how is the symptom spotting? Anyone else still on the 2ww?

hopeful good luck today.

harassed how are you holding up after you bfp? You've been v quiet, hope you're ok??

mels how are you sweet? And lily and wellie hope you're both ok too?

it's technically Friday today!!! Whooo!!

LoveBeingAbleToNamechange · 21/04/2011 08:53

Hi all it's me lovebeingadaddysgirl.

Thought I would check in and let you know how I'm doing. Today I am 20 weeks with a boy!!!!!!!! Just when I thought life was starting to get better I got a call last week to say ds test had come back 1:15, had an amnio next day and paid for the fish test cause couldn't wait and came back all clear. Still not relaxed and am now worrying I've risked mc doesn't help when dh says he's been told stress can effect the test. Anywoo lots of movement and dh even felt a kick last week.

Hope everyone is well just gonna catch up but as always on my phone x

Collie2 · 21/04/2011 09:00

X posts mels Hi Hun, sounds to me like your going to have a busy weekend. Grin

as a suggestion I wonder if we should move hiding to MIA as it's been a while since we've heard from her? Also have we heard from laylas mum?

minnie are you ready to be moved to the bfp list or do you want to wait?

chloe posted on mon that her AF had started properly but I don't know I'd she'd be counting that as cd1 or her first day of light bleeding? Maybe put her at the bottom counting from Monday unless she pops on. She did say she was having a month off though. If your lurking chloe hope your ok? Did you make a decision on the counselling?x

LoveBeingAbleToNamechange · 21/04/2011 09:17

Edward I got pg after mc without af inbetween, the only problem has been dating. Mw used my internal scan date but seems I was a couple of weeks by then so dating scan changed my date from 25/9 to 8/9 Shock felt like I'd lost a month.

meliesmummy · 21/04/2011 10:53

I wish collie - I'm working Friday night and Monday night and at my parents in between - not sure where we'll fit it in...part of the reason I wanted a :) today or yesterday!

Always lovely to hear a positive story loves!

Hi, am lurking but like collie says I will be quieter than usual on here this month as have dh at home for the next 11 days anyway, have lots of socialising to do and generally need a break. Yes, thank you collie I am classing CD1 as Monday's date and am still not sure re the counselling yet. Good luck everyone, I will still be lurking from time to time and will head back over here when I have had some time out. xx

Collie2 · 21/04/2011 13:38

Nice to hear from you chloe take care and enjoy your lovely 11 days wity dh! See you in about a month! Smile xx

Afternoon ladies,

Grin at all the leakage conversation, where else would you get to read that, eh? Not sure I'm up to doing a handstand though...

Chloe glad you are ok, think you are very sensible to have a month off and relax a bit.

Mellie if it makes you feel any better I'm working all weekend too. Are you enjoying the reflexology?

Collie how go the symptoms? Hope you are doing ok - over a month since your bfp already!

Eeek delivery just arriving, will catch up the rest tonight

Minnie74 · 21/04/2011 18:22

Yipeee it's a long weekend!! [bugrin]

collie I'll wait before moving to the bfp list please. I'm so not positive this will stick. More pains today.

edward i think it's ok to try as soon as you have a bfn if it was a natural mc. i was told to definitely check that first. I did wait for another period but sometime wish I hadn't.

lily rubbish having to work all weekend

chloe have a lovely relaxing month x

I went to the docs today to ask a few things. I've got a urine infection apparently which i also had with the last mc (and never ever before). She said to see what happens before taking antibiotics as it's so early and i feel fine.
Have been lurking on the recurrent buns thread (positive thinking i know [bublush] and read about autoimmune problems. I had a semi-diagnosis of Bechets which is an autoimmune disease about 10 years ago. It was treated and I've had no problems for years but it got me thinking. My gp says it could be an issue as the mc (and now this bleeding) is early. If i do mc again she said she'd refer me to the fertility clinic straight away and not wait for a third one. So at least things could move a bit quicker in sorting it out I suppose. Feeling a bit philosophical today Hmm -must be the sun!

lily06 · 21/04/2011 20:07

....continued from earlier......

Cep 12 weeks already, eh? Are you counting down the days to your next scan?

Nina how are things with you? Hope all is well.

Blackkat how are you doing?

Olis Did you use the henna yet? I did mine with it years ago and loved the colour, might see if I can find some and do it again.

Nothing exciting here, not looking forward to working all weekend. Trying not to think too much about things this cycle, we'll see how that goes.....

Off to have a sit down now, tired from putting the delivery away - that's one thing that will be good when pg, not lifting any heavy bags!!

Evening ladies lovely to hear from you vegas and chloe

lily yep i am all sunset blaze at the moment with the henna its awsome my hair feels so soft too, i got it from Lush it was called caca rouge but you get caca marroon/auburn red, caca brun/brown red and caca noir/black they are fab and the one block will last me three goes (i have short hair)

Period is awful making me sore and tired i am also feeling down as i just learned your chances of getting pregnant go down 4% for every unit of bmi over 29 so mine goes down 32% so fed up :(

cep · 22/04/2011 07:43

morning ladies. hope you're all ok.

vegas good to see you.

lily days, hours, minutes. [bugrin]

oli sorry your af is making you feel so bad. i'm over 16 stone and i managed it, please don't worry too much about it, don't forget you are working to lose it as well.

chloe have a good month off hon.

edwardcullensotherwoman · 22/04/2011 18:20

wow this thread moves fast! you're all so lovely though, thanks for the welcome [busmile]

I mc'd naturally, was already under EPU before bleeding started as I'd had some brown blood about 2 weeks before; that stopped but had heavy red bleeding the day before the third scan with them. I was told bleeding could last anything up to 6 weeks Shock and that the longest they'd known was 10 weeks Shock Shock I just didn't expect it to last that long because I was only 5 weeks according to measurements (although my dates suggested 8 weeks).

I haven't had any bleeding yesterday or today, so hopefully it's coming to an end. DH says he definitely remembers her saying there's an increased risk if I get pg before my 1st post-mc miscarriage period (that's a mouthful!) but I can't seem to find anything online to back that up Confused I might just take your advice on here and test for BFN (the only one I've ever wanted!) then get on with it Smile

Hope everyone's well and enjoying the sunshine! [bugrin]

olismum23 · 22/04/2011 18:53

Sorry if TMI but i am really clotty today and there was a bit that looked like tissue/blu/greyish do you think that will have been from MC in Feb or something this month?

Im 17st Cep and 5'7 need to lose weight but i have found it more difficult since MC I was 16st when i MC and put on a stone sharp after due to comfort eating, away to the gym tonight trying my best its all i can do wish i was not still in so much pain :(

cep · 22/04/2011 20:27

welcome edward i'm sorry for your loss. As long as everything is ok, and you feel ready for it, it tends to be mainly for dating purposes they say to wait till after first af. i asked my gp outright and she said it was purel for dating. My dh however insisted on waiting. [busad]

oli i'm 5.4, i lost a st before i fell pg last year through slimming world. i fell pg then obviously lost it in dec, then gained about 1/2 st, i've lost a few lb since then but still about 16.5 i'm planning on trying to stick to slimming world diet as much as i can, but not doing well at the moment too much chocolate around. good luck for the gym.

meliesmummy · 22/04/2011 22:04

olis that sounds like my last period, it was just awful, at one point I was soaking a tampon an hour and the clots were huge. At the scan I had 2 weeks post mc my lining was still a bit thick so I assumed it was of it coming away.

I'm glad your gp is being sympathetic Minnie.

Hope works ok this weekend lily, are you off next weekend?

How did the bloods go hopeful?

Hello to Edwards Cep Vegas and everyone else x

Hello ladies, not sure who still remembers me on this thread but I've been lurking for the last month or so. I was really fed up last time AF arrived and decided to try and stop obssessing for a while.

Anyway being a bit more relaxed about things seems to have helped because I got a BFP yesterday!!! Shock

I still can't quite believe it and am trying hard not to get carried away because I remember how excited I was last time and how it all went so awfully wrong. In fact this time I mostly feel very scared.

I hope you don't mind me dropping back in like this but I could really use some hands to hold...

Hope everyone's having a wonderful sunny holiday.

olismum23 · 23/04/2011 11:40

Hadrian I remember you of course, think you joined just before me! Soooo pleased for you, congratulations!! I hope you'll join us in the freak out room!!

mels enjoy your break at your parents. Have you had a Smile yet?

oils sorry your AF is so bad. Re weight, my SIL is a similar size/weight. She's had 1 mc and 2 very heathy pg. She's never struggled to much to ttc.

minnie cep had a UTI at the begining of her bfp and caused brown cm. As I recall the blood stopped quickly after treatment. Do you think the two could be related with you?

lily lovely to hear from you. I'm ok, I know 9+2 today, I can't believe it. It's the deaded date my bean stopped at last time though tomorrow (9+3) so a bit nervous! Hope your not working too hard this weekend.

Wishing everyone Happy Easter for tomorrow as heading to cottage in scotland and no idea what signal will be like xxxx
