I was so sorry to hear your news knitter, what an awful position to be put in, I'll be thinking of you and your oh today x

I'm going to do the ironing and watch the mums behaving badly programme that was on last night, I may be back to rant afterwards....

afternoon ladies,

mel glad it seems more under control just make sure you have enough rest.

chloe sorry for the bfn's hon. hoping it changes to p soon.

well no call for a cancellation, which i'm a little bit pleased about, this weekend is the first night dh and i have actually gotten to be alone since ds was born. So although i will obviously be a little worried still at least it's not a definate bad news.

meliesmummy · 15/04/2011 15:01

I just came across this on the mc support forum
humrep.oxfordjournals.org/content/18/8/1724.full
for those of you who had a missed mc like me its very reassuring - it basically says that random genetic abnormalities are the main cause of mmcs rather than a physical problem that would reoccur again. It's made me feel A LOT better.

I was actually crying as a i watched that mums behaving badly program when the first 'lady' who was 26 weeks pg lit up on the sofa next to her 3 yo. Then she stopped the filming rather than take the midwife's advice. My blood was boiling!

Enjoy your weekend Cep

knitter so sorry to hear your news

melies glad things are settled down a bit

sorry for the BFN chloe

thumb sounds a bit like something my DH would say, just have to remind myself he is so clueless about all this stuff. I bought him this book to read which has helped a little.....www.amazon.co.uk/Man-Pram-Conception-Birth-Blokes/dp/0733625053, bought at myer if you have one nearby.

cep Angry at DH, i hate the turning the phone off

Well I had a good appointment this morning, although the usual waiting around for ages. Apparently the registrars were all at a training day so it was only the consultant seeing people. She said that if I have another mc she will refer me to the rmc consultant. Hopefully it doesn't come to that but nice to know I don't have to chase around and hassle people. Still on the injections but that I don't mind although last nights was major ouch, sometimes they don't hurt at all and sometimes I'm doubled over in agony Confused, thankfully usuallly the former.

Off to add grapefruit juice and brazil nuts to grocery order - and so it starts again!

Hope you all have lovely weekends.

hopeful1 · 15/04/2011 20:53

Knitter I am so sorry to hear your very sad news, what an incredibly difficult decision to make. Look after yourself honey

Loup sorry the cheapie gave you a bfn, but it is still very early!!

Cep sorry abot your dh

Hello to everyone else on here

I have had extremely bad period pain that kept me awake all night last night. I was convinced yesterday I was pregnant but it is now very unlikely because of the bad pain. If I had known it would be more difficult the second time round I def would have started ttc earlier :(

olismum23 · 16/04/2011 13:15

No AF today but BFN yesterday, not hopeful will just have to wait and see :)

Hello everyone not been on for a while, been trying to not think about thing. Too much. Really happy for everyones bfps and hello to everyone new, its not nice to have to be hear but everyone is lovely.

Well, my af is due tomorrow, has everyone on their second af after mc found that their cycle went back to normal? I'm so stressed at the moment, waiting to hear whether ds has got into the school we want and waiting for af. X

shorty100 · 16/04/2011 18:49

Not sure why I decided to post that twice :-)

meliesmummy · 16/04/2011 21:41

Good luck olis!

My cycle isn't normal yet shorty and I'm on my third...good luck though, have you tested?

I'm not in a good mood, I went into work to be greeted in the corridor with my 2 pg collegues comparing their bumps, the one with my dd has also been on fb telling everyone how wriggly he/she is :(, I can't help thinking that I should be feeling my baby wriggling too :(. Plus I'm exhausted and it's only 9:30, 10 hours to go! Ive checked my haemoglobin though, it's a respectable 13, higher than it was before the mc.

Hope you are all having a nice weekend.

Hope the ms isn't getting you down too much collie.

shorty100 · 16/04/2011 21:56

Hi melis, i've not tested, my dh is not big on testing till at least a week after af due, wish I was that patient.

I know how you feel about getting down when you see other people talking about their pregnancy when you should be at the same stage, I work with 4 pregnant people, everyone has forgotten that I should have been too and its all they talk about all day every day :-(

Minnie74 · 17/04/2011 11:40

Hi
I'm sorry this is just a quick pop in as i have to go out in 3 mins!

Just really worried this morning. Had some brown bleeding-quite watery- when i went to the loo. It's just like the bleeding i had at the start of the mc. Really really worried.
Sorry for the me me me but am so scared iti's all starting again. I'm 5 weeks today by the way. Mc at 5 +5 last time.

Got to go but will be back to name check later xxx

meliesmummy · 17/04/2011 13:06

Oh Minnie im very sorry to hear that. It could be nothing to worry about though, I bled on and off until 12 weeks when I was pg with dd. Can you get to your gp today? Good luck xxxxx

shorty I know exactly what you mean about being 'forgotten'. I keep wondering if I'm being over sensitive but pg collegue 1, who is about 30 weeks asks how I am, doesnt go on about her bump on fb or in rl and is generally more subtle (it wasn't her sticking her bump out in the corridor) yet pg collegue 2 who is 21 weeks like I should be has never asked how I am, sticks her bump out and says 'look!' in front of me (although I think she just aimed it in that direction not at me personally) goes on about scans/baby on fb, and I'm just waiting for her to start complaining about how big she is etc in a few weeks. And it hurts. :(.

OP posts:
thumbbunny · 17/04/2011 13:36

Oh dear Minnie - I hope that it is nothing this time! FX for you.

I might be jumping the gun a little here and I'm not going to test yet but (and I know this is pretty tenuous) my hair has stopped shedding. So I am tentatively on a 2ww, although I have no real clue when my period is due so will just wait 2w and then test. Eep.

Shorty - sorry to hear that you work with insensitives, and you too melies - people can be so hurtful sometimes, mostly without meaning to, but still. There are still a couple of people who don't know about my MC and I'm kind of dreading seeing them again after the Easter break because they'll probably be all "Soo, how are you getting on" in that excited way, and I'll have to tell them, and it will hurt all over again. :(

hopeful - hope you're ok?

shorty100 · 17/04/2011 14:24

Hope it is nothing minnie, its so hard not to worry though, I also had bleeding early on with ds.

Melis, I just have to leave the office every now and then to get away from baby talk, hopefully I will have something to talk about soon too, its just so hard waiting. Really hoping my cycle is back to normal as I should have af today, tomorrow at latest. X

Minnie74 · 17/04/2011 14:59

I'm really worried now- The bleeding is red now Sad I don't think this is going to end well. It's pretty much like last time except I had the brown bleeding for about a week before it went red. DP says to ring the EPU but there's not really much they can do at 5 weeks anyway is there.

meliesmummy · 17/04/2011 15:04

Oh Minnie, I'm so sorry. It might be worth phoning the epu though, even if they just say to come back in a week they can advise you, and they could take bloods if nothing else. It's awful that you have to go through this again. You are in my thoughts x

OP posts:
Loup23 · 17/04/2011 16:42

Big hugs Minnie I really hope it isn't bad news for you, thinking of you.

Good luck to those on the dreaded 2ww aswell, I hope someone has a BFP soon. I'm 11 or 12dpo today, still getiing BFN but also had pink blood yesterday morning then nothing all day then some brown spotting today - obviously secretly obsessing that it is implantation but thinking it's a bit too late....? Hopefully if it is AF it will get on and start properly.

Sympathising with you shorty and melies so hard having pregnant colleagues and friends around you, even though I'm pleased for all those who are pg, we had planned on telling both sets of parents and step children this week...... Anyway, enough moping. I hope this week starts well for all. Good luck x

harassedinherpants · 17/04/2011 18:12

Minnie I mc'd at 5+1 4 weeks ago, and they gave me an internal scan and checked my hcg levels. Unfortunately my womb was empty and that was why they checked hcg levels as it was classed as a "pregnancy of unknown location" until the hcg levels came back as non existent. I really hope this isn't the case for you, that was my 2nd mc this year. Have everything x'd for you and sending huge hugs x

Loup I'm in same situation as you. Cd26 and had some pinkish cm and now slightly brown tinged. This is my first month after mc but decided not to bother waiting as it didn't do me any good before . Good luck!! I'm petrified lol!

Shorty I'm very lucky and my cycle went back to normal straight after erpc in Jan. Af turned up 28 days after! I had another mc 3 weeks ago and just waiting for af to arrive. Something is brewing for sure!!

Mel hope you're feeling better lovely.

Collie I'm not too bad thanks lovely, up and down and having huge ttc wobbles at the moment.

So I'm going to poas in the morning! I have one cheapie test that I found and I'm seeing my Kinesiologist lady tomorrow so would be nice to know one way or the other. Only cd27 though, so may be too early. Will let you know!

olismum23 · 17/04/2011 18:20

Hi ladies i need advice i had brown mucus on wiping but no more today very sensitive boobs and faint line on pregnancy test however took 10 mins to turn up on test may be due to me over weeing on it not sure though instructions say disregard after 10 mins?? what should i think AF was due yesterday???

harassedinherpants · 17/04/2011 18:52

Don't think anything...tough I know.

Do you have another test to do in the morning?? I'm not sure how reliable it will be after 10mins to be perfectly honest. What make is it? Google it!

The cm could be implantation bleeding or start of af. It's not flaming easy it?!!

I'm cd26 and so far have sore and swollen boobs, crampy tummy (a pmt & preg sign for me!), couple of bouts of ms but had that before and af has turned up! Also had pinky cm yesterday and brownish today.

Stupid stupid symptoms!!

Fingers x'd for you.....

olismum23 · 17/04/2011 20:34

I tested again and got BFN so it must have been invalid at the time i looked plus more red pink CM now is this cd 1 or when the full flow comes always get confused?

minnie bigs hugs hope it all turns out ok

harassed good luck with your POAS hope its more successful than me!

Minnie74 · 17/04/2011 20:43

Hi

fx for loup harrassed and thumb on the testing. Really hope you get some BFP's!

shorty have you tested? I couldn't be that patient to last a week- one day past was long enough!

melie hope you're feeling less tired today

I rang EPU (and cried down the phoneBlush) They said to see what happens and take a test in two weeks if it doesn't get any worse. If it's still positive book in for a scan. Bleeding has gone back to brown and no cramps. Hopefully it might stop! DP being great but that just makes me feel bad- like it's my stupid body letting him down again!

Don't know if this is relevant but have been going to the loo loads- is this a pregnancy symptom or could it be an infection? I had one with the last mc (never before in my life) and was thinking maybe that's the cause.

to everyone else xxxx Heading off to eat my own weight in chocolate!
