bump the mc doesn't 'count' as sick because it's pg related (although one of the sisters said it wasn't Hmm but we dont get any special allowances otherwise - even though we aren't meant to come in with colds because the babies are so vulnerable, which is just ridiculous!

OP posts:
Bumpwanted · 14/04/2011 16:06

That's ridiculous *Melies". Wow how unsympathetic can they be.

Am irritated and in a bad mood. Someone else I know has just announced they are pregnant and they are so smug about it. I am close to throwing a shoe!

cep · 14/04/2011 16:25

bump nevermind the shoe, throw the whole shoe rack. i'm thinking of locking dh out of the house later.

mels you'd think they'd be a bit more careful with the lo's wouldn't you. But i'm glad the mc didn't count, it doesn't for us either, i get 7 days and like you anything pg related doesn't count, that's why i alwayus tell them straight away.

Loup23 · 14/04/2011 17:19

bump laughing at your shoe comment, it suddenly seems the whole world is pregnant to me!

cep why locking dh out? What has he (or hasn't he done?). I have a work party tonight and DH has told me to be sensible and only have the one if i must drink..... think I'm getting PMT as told him it was easy for him to say - poor DH he can't win....

Anyway, I stayed away from Boots and I shall merrily POAS tomorrow and swiftly place the stick under natural sunlight, a torch and a microscope in the hope I see a faint faint line.....

Have a good evening all x

cep · 14/04/2011 17:54

loup cause he's an ass. i called the hosp to ask about my scan cause hoping would be sooner rather than later. when told 5/5 had a little meltdown cause still worried about bleed from last week, and was holding it together thinking would be scanned at 12 weeks, i would be nearer 14 weeks by 5/5. anyway was saying to dh i wanted to book a private scan cause i didn't think i could wait, and i didn't feel comfortable going to dr's again to beg for a scan and he was saying we can't afford it etc etc. so i said why didn't he pay his mate (who gave him a loan to buy some machinery) half this month so we could afford it, i got a text back saying "do what the fuck you want, you do anyway, i don't give a shit anymore, i've had enough" and he's turned his phone off. that was at 3:30 and it's still off. I haven't been able to get through to him to tell him i've got an appt at epu for tuesday. (or tomorrow if cancellation) and to be honest am getting really annoyed at the lack of support. he said he understood where i was coming from so why get so stroppy.

well done for avoiding boots. good luck for tomorrow.

meliesmummy · 14/04/2011 18:26

Congrats on staying away from boots loupe!

Cep that does sound like an arsy thing to say, did he mean it do you think or is he just protecting himself from the worst?

Well, the bleedings got heavier again, I still feel exhausted and to top it off I've got a headache and sore throat :(. Sorry for all my moaning.

OP posts:
Chloe55 · 14/04/2011 18:53

melie I know someone mentioned making sure your iron levels are up at the mo to combat the exhaustion but have you tried Spatone? I found they really helped me last month.

cep your dh is being a prat, however, I often think that sometimes the men have no idea how worried and anxious we get in those first stages of pg. They don't feel every ache or witness every bleed so it doesn't enter their heads all the time like it does us - I bet he is just thinking about the pennies and to him it makes no odds having a scan this week as apposed to the 5th, it won't change the outcome so to speak. I am not agreeing with him, just trying to see his pov - he was twatty about how he dealt with it though.

meliesmummy · 14/04/2011 19:08

I dug out the spatone this morning Chloe.

OP posts:
lily06 · 14/04/2011 20:37

AF here, will update the list later, on phone just now so daren't risk it as I'll probably lose half of it or something Blush.

olismum23 · 14/04/2011 20:50

cep Im so sorry your DH is being a d**k head big ((hugs)) hope you get through it sometimes men dont think before they speak.

mellies sorry your bleeding is so awful i am anemic so i have to take three iron tablets a day or i feel like death.

loup FX for testing!

lily06 sorry AF got you

chloe, bump , and everyone else hope you are well.

I burnt another 400kcl today at the gym but now my legs are killing me! I am also having cramps but AF is due Sat/Sun dont see the point in testing untill i am late so will wait till next week i am extremely doubtful after having the BFN yesterday.

thumbwitch · 14/04/2011 23:43

cep, so sorry that your DH is being such a knob. Mine came out with a classic "unsupportive in the extreme" comment when I got back from the hospital with my scan under my arm (different system here) and hepicked me up from the station. He asked how it had gone, I told him and he said
"So you were never really pregnant then?"
Shock
I find it difficult to be anything approaching civil at times like that and employ heavy sarcasm because otherwise I'd probably brain him.

cep · 15/04/2011 07:38

lily sorry af here

oli well done for the gym.

mel

thumb Shock that's awful, i'm suprised you didn't brain him. mine on the way to the scan the other week said "you realise if it's bad news you won't get another 2 weeks off" we hadn't even entered the building. apparently as i've already had 1 mc if i have another i should be more used to it!!! I also hate the fact that he convinces himself of things he'll say things over again like, i never let him do what he wants and then he convinces himself of it. i never complain he's in the garage all the time. i never stop him going on bike rides unless we have guests coming round. All i say is that if he's spending a day going bike riding it'll be nice to spend a few hours the next day doing family stuff, and he objects to that. he's selfish and admits it, doesn't seem to think there's anything wrong in that.

I'm half hoping they can fit me in today but half scared. i'm away for the weekend don't know how i'll be if bad news.

cep · 15/04/2011 07:38

i didn't finish that.

mel i hope the bleeding is settling down, have you contacted the dr yet?

meliesmummy · 15/04/2011 09:17

Sorry af got you lily :(

Good work at the gym olis

Cep and thumb, I'm sorry that your ohs aren't being supportive I'm :( for you both, come on hear and moan all you want to us. Good luck with the epu Cep.

I'm not going to bother going to the gp because it's slowed down loads this morning, and I'm feeling a bit better, think I'll just carry on with the spatone even though it's quite expensive and a pain to get hold of (sainsburys have stopped selling it Angry. I'm also a bit Angry with dh, I found out this morning that at some point in the last few weeks, he doesn't know when, he stopped taking 2 vit c tablets (they are 500mg ones) and is taking 1 instead. He didn't do it deliberately, he seems to be a bit confused as to why. Men!

Digitalgirl, Hairytriangle, AandRm, Mumtum and Stitch xx

I may have got the above wrong as it hasn't been done for a few days so please check you are where you want to be.

Well, still no AF and did actually nearly throw up on the school run Shock I have a feeling it's lack of sleep that's caused that though as didn't get to sleep til 2am last night as was waiting for dh to get in from work's do then we got chatting. All my cheapy internet tests are still definite BFNs and I never did get a positive OPK this months o am still thinking I just didn't ovulate hence the late period but now am starting to wonder whether the tests are just crap??? Confused

cep and thumb I have no idea how you managed to hold it together with your OHs after those comments Angry

KnitterNotTwitter · 15/04/2011 09:48

Hey ladies

Just taking myself off the BFP stats as we have discovered that my bean has Downs Syndrome and have made the incredibly difficult to terminate.

Hopefully I'll be able to join the WTTC list again soon...

harassedinherpants · 15/04/2011 10:01

Knitter I'm so sorry, I'd already seen your news on the updiffed thread as lurk occasionally to see how everyone's doing. Left a message on your thread. Take care of yourself lovely, and be kind to yourself. Much love xx

Bumpwanted · 15/04/2011 10:31

Morning ladies

Knitter I am so sorry, you poor love. Thinking of you and your other half. Make sure you look after yourself and each other xx

Cep blimey your DH is being a bit unfair. Men. I'll say it again. Men. What is wrong with them sometimes???

Melies so glad you are feeling a bit better. Was getting a bit worried about you. Hope you feel even better over the weekend.

Thumb Shock I think I would have def thrown my shoe at your DH if he'd said that to me.

Oli well done for holding out on testing. You never know though its not over til the red lady sings!

Lil sorry the red lady got you Sad

Loup how did the POAS go this morning?

Hi to everyone else!

My news this morning....well in the words of Kylie

Wink

thumbwitch · 15/04/2011 11:35

Knitter, that's so sad, so sorry for you. We discussed this possibility for ourselves, if things had got that far and DH was of the opinion that termination was a must - I was and am ambivalent about it but won't know unless and until I am in that position - I really feel for you, having to make that decision. :(
I don't know if it's the done thing or not on this thread but have a ((hug)) anyway. Better luck next time.

lil, sorry that you missed out this time - better luck next time for you too.

Go Bump!

Collie2 · 15/04/2011 11:59

Lily sorry about AF

Chloe sorry you're left hanging by AF and wondering. my fx are crossed for you just in case.

cep i'm so sorry your dh is being a bit of a pig! He does sounds a bit very insensitive, but i think like chloe said, men don't understand the worry and obssession the same. My DH is the same, although he is supportive of me having a private scan, i don't think he really sees the point and i think if we couldn't afford it he might have a different view.

mels glad your AF is easing but sorry you're still so tired and drained. Heres to hoping your cycle sorts itself out this month though!

Sorry for not name checking everyone else, i'm at home slunk on the sofa feeling ill, just totally beat.

Will catch up properly soon x

angela85 · 15/04/2011 12:50

knitter So very sorry to hear your news. Really feel for you to have had to make such a tough decision.
cep Can't believe your dh (or should that just be h, as he's being so insensitive) said that! Have you spoken to him since? is he being more understanding now? Really hope things go well at the EPU.
mellies glad things are getting better.
sorry bout AF lily
Hope you feel better soon collie
Waves to everyone else. xxxx

Loup23 · 15/04/2011 13:24

Sorry to hear your news knitter wishing you and your dh the very best.

cep how insensitive of H, have you resolved things? Let us know how the epu appointment goes.

I am having an awful stressful day at work and cannot wait to go home, did another internet cheapie BFN and really not feeling pg this month and if that's the case hope AF gets on and shows her face.

Hello to all others, well done bump, hope you feel better soon mels and hope you have a restful weekend collie

Any news hopeful? xx
