Thinking of?

Digitalgirl, Hairytriangle, AandRmum and Mumtum xx

Fingers crossed for Minnie and Olis!

:( for IAFYDS

Sounds like a tough time Gimme. I had a parvovirus (other name for slapped cheek) scare when I was pg with dd...someone i work with had it and I had to go and have bloods, I was immune and told that most people have had it as a child so you are probably immune too, you can go and see your gp for bloods to check though if you are worried.

I am sorry for your new loss ochaye, how sad :(. Have you asked for any basic tests?

Well...another short 2ww for me, another 20 day cycle (1 day longer than last month though, at this rate in 8 cycles time I'll be back to normal..). This feels more like a normal period though, its crampy and proper blood rather than mucous and gunk, so I'm hoping this is the start of a normal cycle, and a proper clear out so that I can actually ovulate! Ive just ordered 20 digital opks off Amazon, I think I'll start as soon as they arrive. I'm looking on the bright side - or trying to! At least I didn't poas obsessively this month!

Waves to everyone else x

Morning ladies!

Well, I am officially TTC again! We had a chat mid DTD (I really know how to pick my moments) and he said we should go for it. I think he'd wait a few months in an ideal world but he said in reality it doesn't make much difference. Plus changes of me getting pregnant first time again are slim so I am happy to give it a shot on those terms. I am trying to stay calm about it as I don't want DH to think I am a headcase but I am ridiculously excited. I kept looking at him on the train this morning thinking "oooh we're trying to make a baby" !!

So can I go on the list please!?

Bumpwanted: TTC#1 MMC#1 Cycle 1 UCL29 CD9

Have ordered Clearblue digitals with a smiley face off Amazon so thats Melies and Loup for the advice!

Melies glad to hear the cycle is getting back to normal

Cep thanks for the grapefruit juice advice. How is the sleeping with your little one going

IAFYDS sorry to hear about the AF. Have a glass of vino and a slab of brie to make the most of it while you can. Fingers crossed next month is your month.

Chloe sorry for BFN Sad

ochaye so sorry for your loss. sending you a hug!

Minnie Olis any news?

Hi to everyone else I have missed off! xx

Collie2 · 11/04/2011 10:33

lily welcome back sweet. I?m sorry this is the thread you have to come back to but its lovely to hear from you and I?m glad you are feeling like you are in a better place.

wellie sorry AF turned up.

ochaye so sorry for your loss again. Was you 1st mc in Dec? I had mine then too. So sorry you find yourself here again.

thumbwitch so sorry for your losses and that you find yourself here, but welcome to the thread, I?d have been lost without it over the past couple of months.

Chloe sorry about the BFN but fx for you still

ifatfirst sorry about AF

cep I?m [shocked] at your managers, and the fact they are all denying it is even more shocking. Have you thought about what you?ll do?

harassed sorry that you didn?t get many answers at the gp, but its good she?s said she?ll refer you for an early scan next time you are pg. If it was a cp, I think they are most likely to be down to chromosome abnormalities that are detected very early, so it could be that it was nothing to do with you (so to speak) and just really crap luck.

In terms of supplements see here I drank pink grapefruit juice and took evening primrose oil before ov for extra cm. I also took Zinc and selenium throughout to help reduce chance of chromosome deficiencies and to improve fertility. I also took Vit E, mainly for my spots, but its also good for fertility. I also took Flaxseed oil and ate brazil nuts after ov, to improve my lining. And Folic of course. DH was taking Fish oils, selenium and L-Arginine for increase sperm count and improved sperm quality iykwim. I also cut out caffeine completely (I drink organic decaf tea and normal dcaf has lots of chemicals) and I cut down on the alcohol. I still stuffed my face regularly with choc though ? couldn?t give that up!!

Fx for oils

mels so sorry about AF hun. That was a very strange cycle you have had, but fx this is it getting back to normal.

Grin at bump having a chat mid dtd!! Lol Glad you have sorted things out though and you are ttc again.

I?m ok. Had lovely weekend enjoying the sunshine, doing a bit of gardening (well plant post and weeding) yesterday but think I over did it as I needed at nap at 6pm. Grin

hopeful1 · 11/04/2011 12:39

Hi All,

Just spent ages catching up and supposed to be working but on 2ww and cant concentrate on anything. I had two inseminations last week and now have period cramps, is that a good or bad sign???? I have a 5 week cycle so period not due for 2 weeks.

Ochaye so sorry for your loss

Mellies Loup and IAFUD sorry about af turning up

Chloe sorry about bfn

Gimme I know its hard not to be jealous, I have got 2 pregnant friends and a pregnant manager which is not great!!

Cep glad brown blood has stopped, if it makes you feel better I bled red blood in my preganacy with dd for 6 weeks and she is the most wonderful 2 year old so it doesnt necessarily mean anything

Loup joining you on the 2ww

Loup23 · 11/04/2011 14:58

Hi hopeful1 and other 2wws, it's 5dpo and trying really hard not to get on the symptom spotting bandwagon! Have no tests at home and not planning on buying any until AF due so just sitting and waiting (and secretly getting hopes up).

ochaye sorry to hear about your loss, big hugs and glasses of Wine hope you are getting tlc from all those around you.

bump glad to hear DH is ready to try again - Fx its a BFP for you soon.

Waves hello to all others out there and hope this sunshine is bringing positive feelings for everyone!

Must do some work and not obsess about Christmas/New Year baby......!

cep · 11/04/2011 15:00

chloe there's nothing i can do, don't know who it was. i move sections in 2 weeks anyway sooo. i'm hoping i'll have my scan before the r/wedding weekend as my parents are coming that weekend for the announcement will be gutted if i can't get a scan till afterwards. If i do i may phone up to beg an earlier scan due to the bleeding.

mel i really hope it is a proper af and things get back to normal for you hon.

ifat sorry af got you.

bump lol at the convo mid dtd. Grin great timing bet you could have asked for anything. Grin we're getting odd nights. he woke up again last night wanting to come into our bed again. so we're finally putting the gate back on as the hv suggested, but as dh didn't put it on when i asked him on thursday it'll have to start tonight.

am planning on trying to start slimming world again tomorrow. got to try and lose a bit of weight. i'm not doing exercise just planning on trying to eat healthily and for me that'll lose the weight.

cep · 11/04/2011 15:05

that was meant to be collie not chloe sorry.

i did meant to say to chloe did you have a good night on sat? and how's the job going?

meliesmummy · 11/04/2011 17:37

Good luck bump and the 2 week waiters!

Will I ever learn? Just opened fb - to find a scan photo :(. Im working tonight, that hasn't put me in a good mood, plus im wearing the new all Wales uniform for the first time and I feel like it'd strangling me! And I just know I'm going to feel crampy all night. 1 2 3 arrrrrr!!!!!!

OP posts:
cep · 11/04/2011 17:40

mel sorry about fb, i hope your night gets better. Smile

Bumpwanted · 11/04/2011 17:58

Melies sorry to hear about the FB photo. Its so annoying when that happens....just know your baby scan photo will be much cuter when the time comes (that's what I tell myself!)

Collie thanks for the advice. I am taking some kind of tablet from boots which is a multivitamin thing for mothers to be with folic acid in it. Can I take other stuff on top of this as I am a bit worried I will OD on healthy vitamins!!

Cep suspect you will burn loads of calories just from growing another person and so with that and your healthy eating plan you will be on to a winner!

Loup and Hopeful fingers crossed for your 2ww!!

Just spoke to DH who is off out tonight. I said don't come back totally drunk as you have an appointment and he said "its not the right time yet as its too early"....someone has clearly been checking the period i tracker thing on my phone!! I told him I wanted it to be fresh for OV day and that he shouldn't complain when it is offered on a plate....there is no pleasing some men!

hopeful1 · 11/04/2011 18:42

hey Loup I am also 5dpiui so we can do the 2ww together, already obssessing over symptoms or lack of!!!!!!

I have a friend who went for her 20 week scan today, a friend going for her 12 week scan tomorrow and my manager went for her 12 week scan on wednesday I am genuinely happy for them but sucks for me!!!!!!

Hope everyone has a good evening

olismum23 · 11/04/2011 18:46

Hi ladies,

olismum23 · 11/04/2011 18:47

sorry X posts hopeful FX for you and loup

sunshinela · 11/04/2011 18:55

Hi All,

meliesmummy thank you so much for letting me know about this chat. It's great. So positive to see so many in the same situation!
So I am not sure how the list works but I'd love to be on it. A quick summary of where I am at. I am british but live on west coast USA so i'm 8 hrs behind you lot. Me and my DH got PG on our honeymoon. But we MC'd at 9 weeks. I had suffered terrible energy loss and tiredness through PG and until 2 weeks after my D&C :( Found MC very very hard to handle but I know it is for everyone. Just had my first AF visit on Sat so v relived. We are off to Vegas with freinds end of May so want to be able to drink and have fun with our friends. But we have decided to Do the deed in Vegas and cross fingers will be PG soon. Am so desperate for a succesful PG. Seems like a lot of my friends have had babies without even trying for it. Whereas I took folic acid, changed my diet, got v fit etc etc. So v gutted we MC'd and it seemed so easy for my other friends :(. Is anyone in the same position? ready to try again after 1st mc? I'd love to know what supplements/changes to diet you are doing?!

sunshinela · 11/04/2011 18:57

oh and laylasmummy we were on the same thread for due date september babies and you mc'd then i did straight after. How are you getting on?

lily06 · 11/04/2011 19:55

Evening ladies,

Sorry just a quick post and run, supposed to be working.....

Welcome sunshine, sorry to hear about your MC, hope you find lots of support here.

Collie thanks, I'm feeling much better about things in general, hoping it will last! Was thrilled about your BFP, how's it going?

Cep glad things are starting to improve with your ds, how are you doing otherwise?

BFN here, AF due tomorrow/wed so will see.

ochaye · 11/04/2011 20:53

Hi there Collie - yes, I mc'd on Christmas day. I think I remember you from when I was on here before. How are you getting on?

melie - I'm not going for tests yet. I'll go and see the midwife this week and see if she recommends I go and get checked out, but I haven't seen anyone at all as yet. I think if it happens again I'll ask about tests. I was speaking to my boss today (we have a great relationship) and she told me she had SEVEN mc's between her DS1 and DS2! I'm still a bit shaken by her news!

You guys are just SO lovely. I feel so much better already (((hugs))). Promise I will now stop thinking all about me ...

harassedinherpants · 11/04/2011 20:55

Hello!

I've had a very busy day. Dd has a rash so cm wouldn't have her until I had it checked. Doc said it's a virus and I should keep her off today so I had am impromptu day at home. Much needed I might add, so I've spring cleaned and packed some boxes ready for moving in a couple of months. Dd was hard work though!! She's not ill, not by a long shot, just bored apparently....

Sunshine welcome, and sorry for you loss. It's great here though.

Collie thanks for the infor lovely.

Cep sounds like ds is getting better, flipping "phases"!

Mel sorry af got you, but you sound positive about it. Here's hoping for a proper cycle for you.

lilysorry you got a bfn, but you're still in!! I've never had a bfp until the actual day I'm due.

olis stop testing Grin!! Wait a couple of days at least.

cep · 11/04/2011 21:57

sunshine welcome and sorry for your loss. congratulations on your wedding.

lily i'm not too bad, still a bit concerned about the brown blood i had on thursday and hope to ask mw if she can see if we can hear anything on doppler tomorrow at my booking in but i'm not holding my breath for either her saying yes or hearing it if she actually does. we put his stair gate back on today, was telling him throughout the day it was going to happen and why so we'll see. hopefully he'll sleep through anyway so won't matter.

ochaye don't be silly, you're perfectly within your right to have mememe at the moment. i hope you're doing ok.

oli 8 dpo a wee bit early. maybe wait a few days. fx for you.

hihp he probably hasn't, probably thinks it's easier on you if he doesn't mention it. Why is it all his phases are coming at once.....i bloomin hope it's all his phases.

i'm ending my current diet by watching obem (i recorded while in bath) and stuffing my face with chocs i had left from mothers day. i'll just put a few pounds on before i lose it. Grin

meliesmummy · 11/04/2011 23:40

Fx then olis!

Hello sunshine, glad you found us. As far as supplements go I take pregnacare conception, and my oh takes wellman conception and vitamin c, we both eat lots of brazil nuts too.

Well works manic, only just managing a quick drink now, I think the night will go quickly!

OP posts:
sunshinela · 12/04/2011 00:15

Oh meliesmummy thanks for that advice. Didn't even enter my mind that DH should be taking vits too.

Thanks everyone for being so welcoming.

This thread is brilliant.

thumbwitch · 12/04/2011 03:03

had an interesting moment yesterday when I appeared to have the right CM for ovulation - seems a bit unlikely but we DTD anyway just in case. Daft really - should have waited for first period post MC but am just so old now (43) that I am just jumping on any opportunity.

Sorry not to namecheck everyone - it's going to take a while to settle in to who everyone is, I think - :( that there are so many of us on here but at least we have each other for support :)

cep · 12/04/2011 07:31

morning ladies. we spoke too soon yesterday, ds woke up stood at the gate screaming, mummy i want weewee, mummy i scared. it was horrible but i managed to keep quiet. he only cried for 30 mins but took him ages to get back to sleep. i had to check as i was told to cover him if he fell asleep on the floor. cue 5 mins more crying. Sad it could have been worse and has been in the past so at least it was only 30 mins.

i hope everyone is ok.

thumb you don't have to wait for first af if you don't want to it's whatever yu feel best.

Chloe55 · 12/04/2011 08:35

If anyone updates the stats please put me at CD1. Feel okish about it actually. Have decided to take a month off TTC so no Clomid for me this month, no temping, no ridiculous amount of vitamin popping/juice drinking/brazil nut eating. Do you know what I will be doing for the next few weeks? Getting pissed, having a few cigs and generally trying to get my life back so I will be quiet on this thread for a while but I hope to be back feeling refreshed in a few weeks after giving my head a break!! Good luck everyone! x

harassedinherpants · 12/04/2011 09:01

Morning,

Chloe that sounds like a fab idea! I think we're very had on ourselves with this ttc & mc stuff. Have lots of fun!! x

thumbwitch I'm not waiting for first af either. I did last time (had 2 mc's this year) and it did not flipping good at all, so I'm just going for it. What will be will be.

Cep awww you poor things. I'm sure it'll get better really quickly now, but it's heartbreaking ((()))'s

Sunshine my dh is very fit (he's a boxer) and he takes mega strength zinc. Also good for the immune system, you don't want them getting ill at ov time!! Wink

I''m cd21 today and have had a crampy tummy already Sad.
