Getting us started on a new thread; this one is gonna be a lucky one!

OP posts:
digitalgirl · 01/05/2011 18:56

battery fingers crossed this is nothing. I'm another who had light brown bleeding in my pg with ds. Feet up and watch telly.

Lovely to hear from you moo can't believe you're about to pop.

ladyb gosh really not long to go. Do you have lots of goodbye do's planned for your solo week?

My temp has stayed high at 11dpo, so looks like luteal phase hasn't been affected by the last mc. Good thing, but I am getting rather impatient to start ttc again [cgrin].

CaribouMoo · 01/05/2011 19:55

Hang on in there Battery, I know its easy to imagine the worst but as the others say - there can be reasons for this happening and everything still turns out fine. Didn't Velvet have something like this and BBB? Try to keep faith, the timing certainly won't be helping.

Best of luck with the move Bee, I hope NZ brings you and your family happier times and a new wee family member. I'll defintely lurk by more often to keep in touch more and will certainly let you know what happens with the wee man over the next few weeks. Did you hear Viv's fab news from Thursday?

Good to see you too Digi pal, back in the saddle again. Glad your cycles aren't too messed up and hope your luck changes soon x

nickstermum · 01/05/2011 21:11

Hugs for battery, here's hoping it's just implanting xx I had brown goo and I was told by several midwives/gynae that brown wasn't a bad thing,..... Not that I found that reassuring at all.... But it could just be old implantation blood. Hope so, im sure it will be xxx

Bee best of luck with your move my lovely x hope it all goes smoothly and you all settle quickly in nz xx

Ladybee · 02/05/2011 11:15

battery I hope you're feeling a bit more hopeful today and that things have eased off?

hi digi - no, not a lot farewells, heading to friends today and I have my formal work on tomorrow but apart from that, nope - we used DS's birthday as an opportunity to say goodbye to most of our friends and there's still a lot to do so I'm pleased most of that is out of the way. Also, I think things are different now with skype, email etc. That's the way I keep in touch with lots of friends who are in the same city as me, so it doesn't feel like it will be too different for those ones. It's just the close friends who are part of my daily life that are going to be a wrench.

Thanks moo & nickster...anyway, not leaving quite yet, will still be around for a few days.

Unfortunately it looks like all the move stress seems to messed a little with my cycle. AF not arrived yet but still testing BFN, I know I'm only on day 28 but have been looking back on charts and my cycles are regularly only 26 or 27 days once the the WTF cycle is out the way. The three BFPs I've had in the past year were all on day 28 or 29, so maybe there's a little hope still but I think that I probably didn't OV at all or it was delayed with the stress of stopping work, having DS's party etc. Hey ho...I feel a bit 'periody' but not much, still one thing or the other will happen won't it...so will just carry on as normal til it does.

brokenbarrenbrook · 02/05/2011 15:57

Hey, sorry for lack of posting, been frantically busy at work and have been away all weekend. Kernackered now!

Just running in quickly to say to battery, that's what happened with me, it lasted a day, two at most and then stopped completely. I still don't know if I'm still pg or the progesterone has prevented me mc naturally but fingers very tightly crossed that it was bean burrowing deeply for us both. You're right to rest and put your feet up though. Thinking of you xxx

YRMOTB hey chicken, I'm still running, I have (and I'm not joking) an addiction to exercise I think as I get very restless and agitated if I don't, I can't sleep properly either when i've not done anything and it really helps me cope with stress so I've decided to keep going. The general advice is if you've done it prior to being pregnant then you can carry on, just don't take up anything new and take it a little easier. x

Scan Weds. Bricking it doesn't even begin to explain my fear!

OP posts:
batteryhen · 02/05/2011 17:35

Hello lovely ladies.

bbb Thank you for reassurance. I have stopped with the brown stuff, and still got symptoms, so am crossing my fingers tightly that batterybean is just settling in. Good luck with your scan too, mine is next monday but I called EPAU today (it's closed) so the gynae nurse said she will get them to call me tomorrow to see if they want me to go in earlier. I have also called work and said I am not going in.

lady I wonder what your cycles are up to? I bet once you are settled in NZ you will get a lovely BFP :)

digi glad to see you again, lets hope your BFP comes soon, this thread has been really lucky recently so fingers crossed for you :)

AandRMum · 02/05/2011 21:04

Battery I echo the other sentiments - there is every chance it is all fine - brown seems just so normal post mc and actually just in any pregnancy. Live moment by moment! Easy to say - very difficult to do. Massive hugs and don't even think of going to work if you are even slightly unsure about going.

LadyB hmmm think I am going to pop on some suspenders - just in case ...

Yeah for lp Digi - always a bit of a relief when your body does something right!

Off for an interview tomorrow - fingers crossed.

AandRMum · 02/05/2011 21:05

Oh yes and it is 5dpo and I put frozen peas into the fridge - wonder if that counts as a symptom?!

Ladybee · 02/05/2011 21:53

Nah...getting more crampy now, reckon AF'll show up in the morning. Sad

Youremindmeofthebabe · 03/05/2011 08:52

Morning all.

Hope you're all well, I'm back to work today, leaving DP in a nice warm snuggly bedEnvy I really didn't want to get up. Had a lovely weekend, fSIL came round yesterday with new baby, had lovely takeaway, went to the park, hung out with friends, all that jazz. Hope you all had nice times too.

bb I can't stop exercising, it may kill meGrin. I've knocked the outdoor running on the head, mainly because I am a clumsy so and so. Still doing pilates, spin, and the rest. And very good luck for your scan tomorrow, I've got everything crossed for you.

aandr best of luck for the interview. What kind of job is it? And that's definately a symptom.

digi how's it going? Any sign of AF yet?

Hope everyone else is well. I need to do lots of work. I'm so behind with my degree work, but I just cannot find the motivation. Must try harder.

Freezingmyarseoff · 03/05/2011 11:17

Morning

AandR good luck with the interview, go for it my girl.

Battery how are you? did you go to work? sometimes it's good to be distracted but you know your body and what is best for you. Hope you manage to get an earlier scan, but it sounds more positive if you still have symptoms and the sludge has stopped. Phew for you

BBB I'll be thinking of you tomorrow for you scan. I totally get the fear.

I can't even begin to think about going to GP to tell her and arrange scan, that would admit that I'm pregnant & quite frankly I'd rather bury my head into some fluffy sand, it's quite nice down here actually

mouse how are you? I saw your other thread. I'm not so good with sage advice but I think keeping talking is key

Babe did your DH have a good birthday. What did you get him in the end?

We had a lovely weekend at the ILs, I got to lie in 3 mornings in a row Grin and then ate lots of yummy food.

peers rounds for news from Jolls

& ladybee too - did you manage to have some time off from the sorting? Are you going to North or South Island? but don't answer if I'm being to nosy. We have talked about moving abroad but I'm too chicken. (no offence meant to chook though)

Waves to everyone else MummyA, Wiggle, Izzy, Freelance, Diamonds, Loola, MamaP, Velvet, Hairy, Zam and the delurkers Moo, Nicks and anyone else lurking

ZamMummyInGabs · 03/05/2011 12:47

Hello all, just a quickie on phone - Internet broken at home. CD2 here after longest cycle ever & numerous BFN's last week. Totally get the urge to withdraw from life AandR, have been having same & feeling of swimming thru treacle just to do normal stuff :( I was coming off my anti-d's but decided it's just not the right time. Feel positive about this coming cycle tho, and DH on board for SMEP Wink.
In other news, I am now officially a Mooncup convert :)
Oops, nearly forgot - hurrah!! to freezing and everything crossed for bbb tomorrow. I've got my appointment with endocrinologist but not expecting anything much.
Better go now b4 the DS's destroy the cafe....

mousebacon · 03/05/2011 13:03

Hello ladies Smile

Thanks for the message freezing I've asked for the thread to be deleted, I feel a bit stupid really (especially being on the ttc board!)

Anyway, moving on! Got my scan tomorrow so I'm starting to feel a bit nervous about that. I'm fully expecting them to say 'nothing's changed, come back in a fortnight' and actually feel more stressed about the possibility of going back to work/not going back to work than anything else.

I'll pop back in tomorrow and let you know what the verdict is...

Waves to jolls andr lady zam battery yrmotb bbb mummya freelance wiggle digi nix mamap hairy Grin

batteryhen · 03/05/2011 13:13

ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGH Just did huge post for the lap top to lose it!

Right ...again......

lady and BBB I havent started running again partly because I was injured for a while so haven't been running for a while anyway so think it might be too much now. I have been doing lots of walking though.
freezing totally understand the denial - altough my body is going to great lengths to see that I sit up and take notice!
aandR I think peas in the fridge is a deffo sign of pregnancy brain!
zam Think you are right about the anti d's - carry on with them aslong as you feel you need too. They will just give you that extra boost xx
mouse have been thinking about you a lot - how are you gettin on?

I have taken the day off today. EPAU called, thay won't scan before 6 weeks which will be friday so I am being seen then. I have been in for my bloods today and they need to be done again on thursday to see if the hcg is rising. I have had one tiny bit of brown this morning but thats it. I think I will go in to work tomorrow as sometimes sitting at home worrying does you no good whats so ever!

Big waves to all those lurking xx

batteryhen · 03/05/2011 13:14

mouse x post - good luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you xx

Freezingmyarseoff · 03/05/2011 13:23

Mouse have pm'd you - first time I've ever done that. Oh get me and my MN ways

mousebacon · 03/05/2011 13:57

Thanks ladies Smile xx

digitalgirl · 03/05/2011 16:03

Good luck to bbb for today and mouse for tomorrow.

Hope your hCG levels are as they should be battery

No sign of AF yet, a few cramps/twinges, temp on a very slow descend, but am sure it'll be here by the end of the week. I have a long luteal phase (15 days) on top of everything else. Have picked up my drugs for next cycle so am drumming my fingers.

For the first time in a very long time I'm glad I'm not pregnant right now. It would have been really bad timing if it happened this cycle. I'm off tomorrow on a work trip to ride rollercoasters for the rest of the week. May not be able to post much as will be on long days and then we're off on hols for two weeks. But will lurk to make sure you're all getting on ok.

Blackkat · 03/05/2011 17:45

Quick stop by to drop off a gargantuan box of cakes and to wish mouse the best of luck for scan tomorrow, thinking of you love xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 03/05/2011 18:30

mouse and bbb good luck for tomorrow!!!

zam sorry she got you (and even worse, messed you around beforehand) x

I'm not running at the minute yrmotb but I had dackered off a bit before the bfp and didn't like to restart immediately after bfp. I'm doing lots of walking though (including speedwalking that I got into after doing the Moonwalk) and when I get some energy back I'll get back into some yoga/pilates etc. Exercise is good, just don't take up anything too new.

aandr well done on your 15 minutes of fame Grin and I hope the interview goes well.

Putting on my suspenders for jolls and bee ...

I'm doing ok but incredibly grumpy after arguing with the hospital mate natal clinic who won't book me a consultant appt even though my mw referred me on two separate grounds (post partum haemorrhage after dd and late miscarriage with dc3). Apparently I don't meet their criteria and they have too many women to see, don't you know. Sometimes I just get so fed up with having to fight for everything Angry Sad

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 03/05/2011 18:31

Huh mate natal clinic?!! Anything but! Should be ante natal, obviously

spilttheteaagain · 03/05/2011 19:02

battery just heard your news and wanted to drop in and say congratulations! And I have everything crossed for you that this brown blood is just implantation and nothing more concerning. Good luck! Do pop over to the Charters antenatal thread to say hello if you fancy it - we are all thrilled for you Smile x

tiggersreturn · 03/05/2011 21:28

BBB - I hope the scan goes ok. If you get Dr White she is absolutely lovely.

AandRMum · 03/05/2011 21:59

Ooo my job is nowhere as exciting as Digis -riding rollercoasters!!! I am swapping! I start work on Monday at Heathrow dealing with their agreements with Crossrail - yep rollercoasters any day!!!

zam we can swim through treacle together!

Growling heavily for you Izzy - that is just wrong.

bbb and mouse all the best for your scans. I am devoting all my lucky squirrels to you tomorrow!

Ladyb deep down I am an optimist at heart

battery glad you have a scan booked and distraction is good - chat with mummya but I have a vague memory that she said a level of 8000 means you are likely to see a heartbeat so make sure you get figures from your blood tests!

MummyAbroad · 04/05/2011 00:37

Hi ladies,

I did the same as battery this morning - long post eaten by laptop - but instead of re-writing I sulked off in a huff instead. Me and laptop have made a tense reconciliation but I have vowed to replace its ass v. soon

mouse I didnt see your thread so dont know what is going on, hope you are OK and best of luck for scan.

battery those early blood test got me through the early bit before a scan. V nice to know something about what is going on in there. Remember the numbers dont necessarily double - its quite a complicated calculation and varies between individuals. There is a great calculator and explanation here - and yes I did read that after 8000 you are more likely to see a heartbeat, but I didnt get those kind of numbers until my third blood test. My first two were 50ish and 100ish I think, and I did the first at 12DPO

ladyB hope AF didnt show, but if she did may she not darken your doorstop for a very long time again!

Izzy I cant believe it! I thought you had it all sorted and they have taken it away from you AGAIN! AngryAngryAngry I know you shouldnt have to and its is so draining doing it, but it looks like it is hissy fit time. Gather your strength together for a little while and then get back in the ring and go and give them hell!

Zam I nearly bought a mooncup and more recently a she-wee (on wish list) MN has a lot to answer for Smile

AandR I am at the bottom of the list for interesting jobs too - translating business news from 6 latin american countries - must confess I am loving it but thats probably because I am only a few days in!

big waves for everyone I missed xxxx
