Getting us started on a new thread; this one is gonna be a lucky one!

OP posts:
tiggersreturn · 28/04/2011 22:07

Congratulations freezing! I hope this is a good one. For everyone's information I had no extra symptoms of pg at the early stages and it was only from about week 10-16 that I really started feeling rotten with the twins. So symptoms aren't definitive. But there's always hope - no history of twins for either my side or dh's.

Freezingmyarseoff · 29/04/2011 07:59

Thanks for your messages, you lot are lovely aww

Still only a feint line again this morning so I will be doing my hardest to be distracted - thank goodness there's a royal wedding when you need one Grin

Right breakfast in chez freezing, will do proper catch up later

getawiggleon · 29/04/2011 09:10

freezing fantastic news!! I thought it was looking hopeful from your 'symptoms'! Thrilled for you. Looks like we could be on a lucky thread again, ladies! Are you poas internet cheapies? I think a feint line on those usually translates to a much stronger line on other brands. Fingers crossed fir a v sticky 8 months xx

Enjoy the wedding all, we're up in Yorkshire this weekend so won't be online much. My Mum has knit a Royal Wedding balcony scene for DD, it's hilarious. I'll try and post a pic on profile later!

Velvetcu · 29/04/2011 10:29

Wooohooo freezing fab news

MummyAbroad · 29/04/2011 14:12

good stuff freezing I didnt get a proper line on cheapies for about a week (although blood tests were very conclusive) even then, it was still quite light colour.

batteryhen · 29/04/2011 18:33

hello everyone :)

still grinning for freezing and keeping finegrs crossed for everyone else.

Mouse how are you getting on? Any sign of AF yet ? :(

I am back home after a lovely week away. I feel very sick today and I fear the rage has got me. I have explained to DP that I don't mean to be narky but he has nicknamed me ' summer Grinch'. Yes I am vile.

Oh and I have arranged my appointment with EPAU and my first scan for 9th May which I will be just over 6 weeks (very nervous emoticon)

Just a quickie post, hope everyone enjoyed the wedding. I thought the dress was lovley and Kate looked beautiful :)

AandRMum · 29/04/2011 21:11

Hi all - thank you for all your support. It means a lot.

We had our 5 seconds of fame today - we ended up on BBC London news - haven't managed to see the footage ourselves yet. I need to record it and send it with the request for Kate and William tea towels from my Aussie family - it will make my DMum's year!! We had a lovely morning in Hyde Park. The DDs laid out their princess outfits last night including tiaras and we rode in flags flying. We filled one of the panniers with ice and pimms and lemonade. Great fun.

Glad the symptoms are lovely and strong battery

Wonderful news again freezing am very chuffed.

Youremindmeofthebabe · 30/04/2011 10:44

Hello all!

Hope you're having lovely weekends, and enjoyed the wedding? I watched a bit of it to see the dress, She did look beautiful, battery, but I preferred the top half to the bottom half, and loved her sisters dress.

I'm at work today, which is boo, but it's very quiet. I am exhausted because DP went out last night, and woke me up at 1am to tell me he'd got home safe, Hmm rat-arsed... and then ds woke up at 3am wanting a drink. It's dp's birthday on Monday, and I really need to get into town to buy him something . God knows what though. I'm not planning on spending much.

aandr so you're famous! Good to hear you had a nice time, it looked very enjoyable.

battery what's with the rage?! I seem to have it a bit too. I am narky mum. I Must Try Harder to be nice.

ladybee I think the thing about moving house is that you never seem to be getting anywhere until right at the last minute. You have my sympathies, It's a nightmare. And the longer you've been in a house the more junk accumulates.

Waves to all, enjoy your weekend.

Ladybee · 30/04/2011 10:54

Oooh how exciting AandR - hope you manage to get that footage sorted.
I enjoyed watching the coverage and DS did a fine line in flag-waving, although he did start complaining once the actual wedding was over, got bored of the talking heads - he's obviously much more discriminating than DH and me.

Well I tested this morning and had BFN, not even a whisker of a shadow so am expecting AF tomorrow sometime, probably late this evening or early tomorrow. Still, I'm pleased I'd got the prescriptions sorted and will probably fill at least the progesterone one before I go so I don't need to stress about it. And I think I feel ok about it, seems to me I either take 1 cycle or 6 to get pg again after a MC so may as well settle in for the longhaul again.

DH is outside cleaning things to take back, DS is 'helping' - I'd better get on with the last few drawers and cupboards too. Although I really feel like making some chocolate crunch slice...yum yum.

Ladybee · 30/04/2011 10:59

YRMOTB x posts - boo for bad sleep, DP/DH birthdays are sooooo hard, aren't they?
My best ever present was a 2nd-hand trumpet, but it's all been very hit & miss.

Yes, and it all seems just 'explode' more, the more you want it sorted and in neat piles at least, it just expands and spreads. And the more I want to throw away the more DH gets a sort of panicked look on his face and seems to hold on tightly to random pieces of tat his prized memorabilia.
Thank goodness I get a day on my own before the packers actually turn up.

Youremindmeofthebabe · 30/04/2011 11:49

mmm, chocolate crunch slice sounds lovely.

bb are you still running? I'm in a bit of a quandary.

Freezingmyarseoff · 30/04/2011 19:12

Oohh, chocolate crunch sounds yummy. Sorry to hear about the bfn Ladybee but at least you know now & you have the prescriptions ready when you need them.

AandR. Soundsl like you had a lot of fun. We watched from home, dd couldn't believe that she was allowed to watch tv all morning. I tried to buy a newspaper today to see lots more pics & read more royal teasels but they were all sold out Sad

babe. I'm no runner but have decided to up the exercise now as it will take my mind off things & make me feel better. I was much fitter during dd's pregnancy than my mc's so I'm sure it will help (well that's my logic anyway)

mummyA dh had day off work when I got my bfp so I could tell him straightaway. I don't think we quite believe it, well I certainly don't even tho I'm already getting some boobache-age. But I'm not so worried about feint lines now

battery you're no summer grinch you're just pregnant Grin

Phone battery about to die so will post now before I lose everything
Sorry not to namecheck anymore
Waves to all x

Freezingmyarseoff · 30/04/2011 19:14

That should be royal twaddle not teasels. Get iPhone & your spell check ways

Ladybee · 30/04/2011 19:54

I quite like the word 'teasels' for snippets of gossip, seems quite appropriate somehow.

I am sooooooo bored of sorting. Think I need a Fun Day Off tomorrow. DH did well though, he's now washed and disinfected and sorted the Man Shed items that he wants to take back. (NZ is ver ver picky about not importing foreign beasties into her clean pristine shores)

Youremindmeofthebabe · 30/04/2011 21:14

See www.damnyouautocorrect.com for amusing iphone misspellings Smile

Ladybee · 30/04/2011 22:11

Oh my god.

I am weeping.

That is such a funny site. I just collapsed, trying to tell DH about it - squeaking with laughter for about 5 minutes.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

CaribouMoo · 01/05/2011 08:33

Hi all, just hopping on quickly because i heard some good news about Battery through the grapevine - congratulations!! I'm really pleased for you, fx for the stickiest wee bean x Now that I'm here I see there is good news for Freezing too, double yay!! I haven't even been managing to lurk here properly but will try my best you keep up with all your news. Bee when is the big move back home? Hope everyone is doing well x

mamapower · 01/05/2011 08:55

Wow the stork's been busy Grin

Congrat's freezing and battery great news, wishing you both a peaceful 9 months!

BBB how are you? I hope you have a good dr keeping an eye on you and bean.

batteryhen · 01/05/2011 10:51

Morning :)

Thank you for the congrats moo and mamap.

However :( I have been bleeding this morning. Just brown and no red and only when I wipe after a wee. No cramps and still have the sickness, but I think this may be the start of my 3rd MC.

The irony is is that today is mt due date for my 2nd MC. I mean - really??Any other shit that nature wants to throw in there?

randomimposter · 01/05/2011 10:55

chook I know how worrying it is.
But at the stage you're at, and with what you describe, it COULD JUST AS WELL BE bean settling in. I have all FX that's the case.

Youremindmeofthebabe · 01/05/2011 11:45

I agree wholeheartedly withjolls, the lady speaks sense. Try not to worry, bean is morethan likely just getting comfy in there. Sending hugs for you.

MummyAbroad · 01/05/2011 13:30

Hi battery sorry you are worried, that is a cruel trick to have something like that happen on your DD of all days. I just said it on the other thread, but I think its worth repeating. I had a big gush of blood that lasted for three hours quite early in, and everything turned out fine. I hope it turns out well for you. HTH.

Ladybee · 01/05/2011 14:45

Battery I know it's terrifying but sooooooo many of the ladies on the freak out pg-post-mc thread had the brown gunk in the early days - in fact I never did and lost all mine whereas so many of the leakers get through successfully. Courage chook. Lousy lousy timing though. Snuggle up on couch, drink plenty and go easy on yourself. I have everything crossed for you. No cramps is good I believe, means your uterus isn't attempting to expel anything so as far as it's concerned it's still all on. Ooooooohhhh, I hope it's all ok for you.

Helloooooooo cariboooooo hey, lady, lovely to see you, especially at this stage, are you sure you should be leaving the house? You feeling ok?
DH & DS will be gone this time next week, then I fly out the following friday after the packers/cleaners/letting agent/my sanity have all left. So you make sure you hatch before then, won't you, I don't want to miss it Smile

batteryhen · 01/05/2011 15:52

Thank you all for your thoughts, browness seems to be lessening a bit (fingers crossed).

DP has installed me on the sofa with strict instructions not to move. I still feel incredibly sick so I am still hoping all is ok, but am also not getting my hopes up.

lady I hope your sanity is still clinging on. DP and I want to emigrate to NZ in a few years, so I watch you with interest :)

moo didn't realise you are about to pop lady. I remember when your got your BFP... exciting times!!!

mmumya My timing is always rubbish. My last ERPC was on my 1st mc due date. I think mother nature / god / fate like to see how far I can be pushed.

babe and jolls I appreciate your words, and I know if someone else had posted about brown goo I would and have said the same to them.

I have just spoken to my friend who is due any day - she had 2 episodes where she bled for 2 days and she is ok. I am supossed to be back at work on Tuesday but if I am still bleeding or i don't feel up to it - I'm not going. So there. :)

Freezingmyarseoff · 01/05/2011 17:54

battery thinking of you my love. You stay right there on the sofa & take care of yourself. It's totally rubbish to have to go through this extra stress but try to keep some hope. It is very early still & jolls is a wise woman, she speaks sense.
