Hello!

Newly updiffed and freaking out about spotting, cramping, the wait until your first scan and each little twinge? Settle in for lots of hand holding and supprt until you're ready to move to grads.

Lots of love

Oh fab news Pink so glad you are measuring well and on a selfish note glad pinkish discharge has had no effect. No more red spots back to very faint, need to tip it sideways to see pinkish discharge. TMI!!

Anyone seen teacake or Cep lately

AandRMum · 11/03/2011 13:52

Go spoil your DH's knitter and mamap!!

Welcome haffertee I had a cp in December on top of mmc in Sept last year hence huge level of mememe mentalling going on over here at the moment - very out of proportion with the amount of spotting. Fx you have a gentle, boring ride through this pg.

Pink the tugging thing is very weird isn't it - I am assuming it is uterus stretching and muscles relaxing or it might just be where I am holding stress at the moment. Just want this bean to hang in there.

PinkFondantFancy · 11/03/2011 13:56

haffertee reckon you could probably use your MC date as your last period date as a rough idea of where you are - there's a calculator on the right hand side that gives you an EDD

Happy birthday to mamap 's and knitter 's DH for tomorrow - what are you getting him?

We're scan buddies next week knitter! Grrr about that horrible feeling - that wave of paranoia sometimes strikes me down at the most random and unexpected times. So grim! Good work shaking it off.

jkklpu · 11/03/2011 14:00

This is such a lovely supportive thread.
I mc-ed yesterday at 8 weeks Sad. I am lucky enough to have 2xds already and am wondering how to decide whether to try again or just to be happy with my lovely family.

Hils74 · 11/03/2011 14:06

haffertee yes I've used my MC date as no AF so roughly 5 weeks and due approx beginning of Oct.

jkklpu so sorry for your loss, you will get lots of support here :)

haffertee · 11/03/2011 14:09

Thanks pink, apparently I might be EDD 14/11/11!
So sorry AandR that you've lost 2 recently, also hoping for smooth pg but unfortunately don't think that will be the case. Had problems a few years ago with racing heart and put on beta blockers which seemed to sort it out. Obviously stopped taking these ttc.
This morning did it again, but only lasted 10 mins or so but does about 160! Off to doctors in an hour will see what the verdict is.

haffertee · 11/03/2011 14:10

So sorry jkklpu... prob give yourself a while before making any decisions!

KnitterNotTwitter · 11/03/2011 14:15

jkk so sorry to hear your news. In terms of the decision for me (one DS at the moment) not trying again wasn't an option.... we want more children and my fear of a loss is less than my fear of no more children....

In terms of practicalities you need to wait until your current bleed has finished and then you can start trying again. That said the first cycle (affectionately know as the What The Fuck (WTF) cycle) is often of a weird length with occasional spotting as your body re-baselines itself and your hormone levels level out... I waited until after my WTF cycle so I knew where my body was....

Hope that helps

For more help you'd also probably find lots of thoughts on the Just MC and ready to try again? board....

All the best with whatever you decide

jkklpu · 11/03/2011 14:17

Knitter - Thanks so much. Makes lots of sense. I know my dh is keen (he's one of 5 siblings) and has already started to talk about it; I'm just not ready. ore complicated by the fact that I'm the breadwinner, we live overseas and dh looks after ds. So a bit of work politics in there as well.

Will take a wee bit of time (but not too much - am 38) and try to rest a while.
Thanks again.

KnitterNotTwitter · 11/03/2011 14:24

jkk Definitely take some time then.... you'll feel very emotional at unexpected times over the next few months. Also look out for the 'due date' and the moment when other people who will be due when you would have been start announcing - I definitely had wobbles at those points.

((((hugs))))

jkklpu · 11/03/2011 14:27

Thanks to hils and haffer, too. Due date would have been same week as both ds' birthdays, which would have been freaky, so there will be lots of distraction .....

Wombat33 · 11/03/2011 14:27

Yey Pink Fab news on the scan!!!!

Welcome Haff and congrats on the BFP!

Knitter & mamap it's my DH's bday tomorrow too!! Whoop!!

Wombat33 · 11/03/2011 14:33

Jkk so sorry to hear of your loss. Knitter gives very good advice. Be gentle with yourself in these early days. It does get easier. If you do decide to try again, you'll find the ladies on here and the TTC after MC thread really lovely (most of us on here started out on that thread too). There are lots of people around here who will [virtually] hold your hand and help you through it all. Good luck.

KnitterNotTwitter · 11/03/2011 14:42

wombat & mamap weird DH birthday syncronising.... My DH got shaving soap, three CD's he wanted and a book of guitar sheet music that he didn't realise was available yet so was very excited by.... I now expect to be serenaded regularly in the coming weeks :)

PinkFondantFancy · 11/03/2011 14:44

aandr that all sounds v. positive - fingers crossed for you nice lady.

jkk so sorry to hear about your loss. I agree with everything knitter says. I also waited until I'd had one AF before really trying again, but I don't think you have to if you don't want to. Also, my other tip would be to do a few pregnancy tests to check they've gone negative (I know this sucks) but it's helpful so that when you're pregnant again you'll know for sure it's a new pregnancy. Are you having an ERPC? I MC'ed naturally - if this is what you're doing too be very vigilant and call the hospital if you start to feel ill. Also avoid baths while you're bleeding. I hope this helps - feel free to pop in if you're got any questions or as knitter says, there's a lovely supportive thread full of women trying again after a MC. xx

Tunnocks glad hols are good. Hopefully the bleed just adds you to the long list of girls on here who have had random bleeds for no identifiable reason and with no harm done xxx

KnitterNotTwitter · 11/03/2011 15:18

fx tunnocks are you going to ask for another scan or just wait it out?

AandRMum · 11/03/2011 15:31

Full on bleeding now Sad

MummyAbroad · 11/03/2011 15:35

oh AandR I hope you are OK!

A&R (((hugs)))... are you going to wait or A&E....? Are you with anyone?

jkklpu · 11/03/2011 15:37

Pink - Thanks a lot. Didn't realise about the bath but will avoid. Having another echo on Monday to see how the process is going - yes, waiting to complete naturally, as suggested by hospital last night.

AandR - V sorry to hear this.

Wombat33 · 11/03/2011 15:48

Hugs A&R really hope it stops xxx

OrangeGloss · 11/03/2011 15:57

Pink so glad your bean is nice and comfy :)

Proper catch up later, but dh I away and I had to share this. 20 week scan date through, you've guessed it, on my old DD - 20th April. Gaaaaahh
