Evening! Sorry I've not been around - this is my brief chance to catch up between two sillily busy work weeks, but at least it's taking my mind off things. I've finally stopped with the brown goo - had a good 2 weeks of bleeding of one sort or another. Now not quite sure what's happening (need that window thingy - was it Pink who thought of it?) and have no date allocated for "12" week scan yet, so am in some strange sort of limbo, familiar to many of you, I'm sure..

Digi - I'm so so sorry this has happened to you again, and I hope you are finding the time to be kind to yourself and getting lots of TLC from those around you in the real world.

A&R - so sorry also that you are going through such a scary time - do you mind if I carry on with a little flame of hope for you? We've had someone else on here who has bled quite heavily, even with clots, and been okay in the end (think it was orange ?)... Fingers crossed for your scan that you get a lovely surprise, and if I'm being ridiculously overhopeful, I hope at least that things complete quickly and settle down so that we see you back here again before long.

Teacake - sorry you have had another scare - roll on your scan - was it this Weds or next Weds?

Hello to all the lovely new people - Katherine, Hils, Ali, Haffertee, Francesca, Ninunina, Mattsmama and a renewed hello to cep who has been a bit quiet recently! - and I hope you are all getting nicely settled in with your mentalling. For what it's worth, I can't offhand think of a single person on this thread who hasn't bled at some point, and we've had everything from pink and brown goo to red bleeding and clots, amongst those who are still to the best of our knowledge successfully pregnant. I'm starting to wonder if the true figure for bleeding in early pregnancy is nearer to 100%, and it's just 50% of people don't knicker-check...? Or maybe miscarriage does something strange to our uteruses (uteri?) to make them more susceptible to bleeding next time?

Velvet - good luck for your scan on Friday, and owl for you on Monday.

loola2shus · 13/03/2011 21:39

Just popping in with a belated hug for Dach just remembered that our dds were exactly a week apart, hope it all went ok and you managed to look forward rather than back.... big hugs sweety x

Ninunina · 13/03/2011 22:02

Good evening ladies, thanks for makign me feel welcome.

Pink I will wait for my dating scan before joining the list. I'm pretty sure I'm 4 weeks today, but want to be sure.

Haffertee I like the sound of using my mc as my LMP- that would mean I'm 5 weeks today, and will have 1 week less worry...but I don't think it's possible in my case.

A&R Fx for tomorrow. Like many others have pointed out, things might still be ok.

Hope everyone else is feeling ok and having an uneventful sunday. I've spent mine relaxing and trying to catch up on some sleep!

OrangeGloss · 14/03/2011 07:03

Welcome Francesca I think it's scary being pg after mc anyway, but we're all here to see each other through. Glad you have a scan booked, if I hadn't have had complications they wouldn't have scanned me early
Velvet well done on not POAsing. I think a small walk helps my trapped wind. Failing that, Gaviscon :)
Welcome too ninunina I waited a cycle first but still didn't help with dating! It does seem early to scan, don't worry if you don't see much
mattsmama - calm? No. Metalling? Yes. Congrats!
TTT glad you have someone to go with you, I bet she's really excited
Owl I hope your scan goes well, and glad the stressing isn't as bad this time
Pink I know, I can't believe it myself. Still taking a day at a time
Emoo glad the goo stopped, but sorry you haven't had a scan date through. I actually rang the hospital and asked them, it had been processed but not sent out so they told me!

AandR is it ok if I stay just a bit hopeful for you too? My mc was agony, but still didn't stop me thinking this time I'd had one as there was so much blood and clots (2 the size of my palm). Thinking of you and hoping so much you don't get your suspicions confirmed xxxx

My nausea is subsiding so not all day now, and seem to puke every other day. Cue more mentalling! :( I have my 16week MW on Thursday, and am bricking it she won't find a HB, but I gather it might still be too early? I also thought I felt a flutter but it could have been wind Blush :)

cep · 14/03/2011 08:02

morning all, hope you're all ok.

aandr fx for your scan.

mattsmama · 14/03/2011 08:16

morning girls

Just to say thank you for making me welcome on here. It's great that I can have someone to stress with! Just got to try and take one day at a time - easier said than done! Going to try and get to see my GP today or at least this week knowing their appointment system. Good luck and lots of PMA to anyone with a scan today or this week Smile

Bricking myself for Friday's scan. I've pretty much convinced myself it's all gone wrong and this is going to be a formality. DH remaining optimistic.

hotnspicyonions · 14/03/2011 10:31

Morning all. Another lovely sunny day here on the south coast. Lets hope that's a good sign for the rest of the week and that the mentalling comes with lots of sunny bits attached!

So lovely to see newbies on here. We really do have a great supportive bunch of mentalling ladies here.

Owl very exciting that you have your 20 week scan this week. That time seems soooo far away at the moment. And TTT good luck for your scan tomorrow,
MummyA for Wednesday and Knitter Velvet and Pink for Friday.... lots of scans this week. I want one

Irene it's not nice when the rest of the household has some kind of bug is it? DP has a lovely cold at the mo, that he says I gave to him. He also had D&V (Think he's getting all the PG symptoms instead of me Grin which I'm happy about!) Segregation zones are bit OTT but sometimes I think a neccessity! (Especially in GP surgeries. I hate sitting with ill people!! Rant over, and relax.....)

Hils be free with your wind, it's better out than in!

Velvet I second owl on the Gaviscon. And your GP should be able to prescribe extra large bottle which will be FOC as you are PG!

AandR I too am holding out hope for you my lovely FX for today

I had slight wobble yesterday. TMI alert! Went for morning wee and had blood on wiping. Proper red stuff too! And there was quite a bit in the loo too. So told DP who went into proper mentalling mode, insisting that I phone all medical avenues. I told him I know my body and had no pains anywhere. If I did I would have done something about it. Had very lazy day topped with Mum cooking a lovely roast pork dinner. And FX there has been no more. So I think Emoo you could be right with the 100% bleeding and not just 50%! We just notice every little detail more after MC.

hotnspicyonions · 14/03/2011 10:35

Bollox Xpost, AandR so sorry to hear your news Sad although the candle has been blown out I hope there is still a light at the end of the tunnel for you both xx

hotnspicyonions · 14/03/2011 10:36

Knitter borrow some of your DH's enthusiasm, positive thoughts and general happy sunny things! xx

KnitterNotTwitter · 14/03/2011 10:49

Thanks onions I wish it was that easy... :(

hotnspicyonions · 14/03/2011 10:56

Knitter have I missed something? Is there specific things making you think it's all gone wrong?? Confused

onions symptoms have declined gradually over the last couple of weeks, particularly in bed when lying on my side I was feeling the weight of my womb... but now I don't; Nipples have stopped being sensitive and they were my main symptom. And I think I should be a bit bumpier than I am - stomach is almost totally flat (apart from the fatty bits!) and with DS and the MMC I didn't want to pull my stomach muscles in. At the moment I don't have that feeling...

hotnspicyonions · 14/03/2011 11:24

Knitter hmmm, symptoms are a strange thing aren't they. It's great when you've got them to mental over, and then a whole new mode of mentalling starts when they go! Is there any chance of having a scan before? Or maybe ask your GP for HCG tests etc? Am keeping FX for you my dear xx

Tunnocks I'm generally quite a calm person, and think what will be will be and everything happens for a reason. I am doing everything I should be and cannot do anything about it if it goes wrong. PMA is the way forward definitely. I'm passing lots on to Knitter along with xx

Chloe55 · 14/03/2011 11:39

Just lurking and seen A&R post Sad I am so so sorry. Nothing more I can think of to say Sad

OrangeGloss · 14/03/2011 11:45

AandR I am so sorry to hear that :( :( :( I don't know what else to say, except we're here if you need to talk, but understand if you don't want to xxxx

Knitter damn those pesky symptoms. My MIL gave me sage advice of don't compare pgs as each is different. Easier said than done I know

Have sent myself home, about to get in bed, with a cold. I would normally work through it but feel I have other obligations at the moment

tonythetyger · 14/03/2011 11:53

A&R so sorry to hear your news.

owlbooty · 14/03/2011 11:55

A&R :( So sorry it wasn't better news. Your beanbag will be reserved, polished and ready for your (hopefully very soon) return - massive hugs coming your way.

HotandSpicy your zen calmness is awesome. Can I please borrow it? Grin

Knitter I had far more convincing symptoms with the mc than I ever have done in this prg. I have decided therefore that symptoms are Not To Be Trusted - especially when they come and go so much during first 12 weeks. Tis evil, it really is. Chin up, dear. We're all here holding your virtual hand :)

mamapower · 14/03/2011 12:07

AR just sending all my love, Hope you and dh can take strength and comfort from your girls. Be hoping for a bean for you soon xxx
