Just popping back in to say hello - took my first temp in months this morning after lots of post mc complications. It was v low (35.65) so obv haven't ov'd yet but hopefully I won't have to wait too much longer.

Not allowed to ttc yet but need to have a full cycle before my next check up.

bossy are you sure you want to stop? You've both just gone through the testing? Maybe that's why DH is a bit miffed?

weimy never had three, you must be super fertile! I use CB digital as I like getting Smile (succer). But I only end up using one or two as I'm so regular so I've had the same pack last for months.

Me, sitting here with a nice G&T to calm myself down. Went to see a GP today and the extend of testing offered.....wait....ONE.......wait.....My BLOOD PRESSURE!!! WTF!!! Was told we need to start with DH and then treat him first if they find something wrong?!? To which i said, yes but there might be something wrong with me and he just smiled - yes, SMILED and questioned whether I was a bit impatient! And then said, they wouldn't accept us in the clinic until we've tried for a year. Well if that's the case, why advertise that they look into things for women over 35 after 6 months. Argh! I can only take some consolation in the fact that DH has his appt already booked for Sat and he seems to be happy for me to go and join him. Note to self - never make an appt when AF is around - you clearly become a wimp and can't stand up for yourself!

I got my peak today CD15 on my new shiney CBFM, but any idea what my chart is doing? www.fertilityfriend.com/home/332dc0 I got a + OPK last night as well (I could feel I was ov'ing), so have I actual ov'd or am I just getting all the hormones and no egg (due to no temp increase)???

karbea I'd say you ovulated yesterday. My temps went right down last month straight after ovulation but went up and stayed up, see

Hi Scrummybumb

I have been a charter for a long time now. I used it to get pg with my DS and we started trying for #2 about a year and a half ago.

I got pg in August but sadly miscarried at 11+ weeks and had an erpc for retained products.

I got pg again straight away but started spotting at about 6 weeks and although two early scans were reassuring (hb at 8wks) when I went to my 12 week scan the baby had died so I had an erpc 2 days later.

Fast forward 5 weeks and they realise I'm still full of 'product' so have to have another erpc then a week after that I had a massive, spontaneous bleed in the middle of the night and get rushed back to hospital.

I had a follow up scan a week ago which showed I still have stuff in there so have been sent away to try and have a normal period in the hope that my body clears itself.

So, here I am, taking many a supplement and hoping that my crappy body manages to ovulate and have a period in the next 3 weeks....

Phew! Bet you wish you hadn't asked! Smile

Karbea I'm no expert with a CBFM, but I reckon that you may get a temp surge in the morning (slap me if I'm wrong). Occasionally you get a dip just before ov, and then will shoot up after the egg has been released. Do you get any other ov indicators (pains etc)? I think that you may ov today!

IfAtFirst... I had Ov pains (right side) last night which was why I did the OPK. Nothing today. So OH and I had SWI this morning, do you think we should go again tonight then? I'm slightly worried we "do it" too often and maybe his sperms aren't mature enough Hmm

Do you think they have sex normally? They said he didn't have a complete change...

hello mousebacon you have certainly been through a tough time, I will not moan about my headcold any longer

weimy from what I have read the line needs to be as dark as the test line for it to be a + and that the LH it is detecting to get the + is present in the urine anyway in small amounts hence the faint line at times but once you get a surge at ovulation it gets as dark as the test line. But I have also read that the cheapie OPKs are not that good (probably as good as the cheapie pg tests that have given me 3 faint positives on 3 separate occasions with all tests done after being bfn meaning a line isn't always a line). I think looking for ewcm and ovulation pain can be as good an indication of ovulation. I tried them when I got some with my BBT thermometer and also got a faint 2nd line which did coincide with ewcm but then having ran out of pg tests I used my remaining few OPK's to pee on and also got a faint 2nd line but obviously I wasn't pg. read this it might make more sense than me!!!!!

scrummy I think DH is just sick of hearing all about it now, he doesn't share my interest in the state of my cm, my nonsense charts or anything else but he would love another baby, of course I got annoyed at him for not caring but he does care he just needed to update his status, send a few tweets and reply to some texts - busy man you know! The fertility test process is more difficult for a woman than a man. He needs to produce a sample in a pot but for women it involves blood tests, internal and external exam and swabs, internal and external scans and the dreaded HSG so they like to test the man early on as if there is a problem with his swimmers then there may be no need for you to go through all that so it is a good thing I promise! I think the SA results get back quickly as it has to be tested within an hour of being produced. Have you had any bleeding between periods, that was the reason I got referred to the gyn so quick and after one appointment we were sent away with two bags for 2 blood tests for me (days 4/21) a bag and 2 pots for 2 DH's samples, a urine sample and swabs had been taken, internal/external exam had been performed and a referral was made for vaginal scan. So once it starts it can get going very quickly so don't lose faith.

Lots of people never get dark lines so you are not alone weimy but also lots of people only ever get faint bfp with the cheap test sticks even when getting dark lines on other tests so sometimes I think a faint line is as good as it gets with those kinds of sticks. I think if you are checking cm as well that should give you a good idea, if it is still giving you a 2nd line I would definitely keep up the swi and see when you get a temp rise!

Still spotting so that's me on day 12 of spotting/bleeding, on it goes...

weimy I was going to ask about OPKs today to. Ive been using the cheapie sticks for a while now, and yes the line has to be as dark as the control line for an "official" positive because LH can be detected at other times but Ive found in my experience the line never gets quite as dark - there are times I can see a faint line but when it goes dark, particularly appearing quickly then I take this as a positive because it coincides generally with EWCM and temp rise. I can also get fertile CM after ov so at least with the positive opk I can get a good idea when to swi!!

So I do think the cheapies are working for me (just as well as cant afford the proper ones), today I got quite a dark line, same as yesterday whereas on Wednesday it was very faint so Im assuming Im going to ov today or tomorrow.

I gave up using the cheapie OPK's. I could never read the lines right. I switched to using the expensive digital ones that gave me a smiley face. Usually though I only use 4-5 a month as I know when I should ovulate.

Did a pregnancy test this evening. Negative. Doh :(

bossy LoL about your DH. He must be a VIP Grin. No mid-cycle spotting for me, unless you can count 5-6 days of spotting before AF that, which I've only had one month. I know the GP is right in saying that I'm impatient, but I guess I just didn't feel like I was being taken seriously enough. There's nothing to indicate something is wrong. Quite the opposite. I clearly ovulate each month. Have regular cycles. Have had two negative FSH tests at home. I guess i was just looking for some re-assurance as i do find this cycle of hope and disappointment a bit tough going some days. I know we all do. Let's see what DH GP says today.

mousy sorry I asked to remind yourself of that roller-coaster of a journey! You must be made of strong stuff mentally. I do hope your AF arrives soon for you.

karbea I hope you don't mind, I had a sneaky peak at your chart this morning and I'm surprised you havent got your crosshairs this morning....But it's defo showing a steady rise, so I'm sure you ovulated

RESULT got DH a referral to produce his sample and myself a referral to the gyn! I pulled the last two charts from my bag and he said there was clearly no need to run any blood tests to begin with as I am ovulating, so straight to gyn to see if there is anything else the matter! Off to having a booze lunch now!!!! Grin

scrummy I can think of other names for DH lol, he drives me potty updating his status constantly, does anyone even care what he is doing or what he thinks?!

Got an appointment with the gyn in may which I will have to change to june as having the 12 days of spotting/bleeding it was hard to say when CD1 was so couldn't really go for the HSG so will have to go for that next cycle and have day 21 blood test again then too. Just hope I have a more normal cycle next month. Should really start the swi but with dd so poorly I am pretty wiped out but hate symptom spotting on months when I know there is very little chance due to lack of swi.

Karbea, it took me ages to get cross hairs last month, had a steady rise and ewcm but then temps went a bit crazy and had more ewcm and in the end FF gave me cross hairs at a time without ewcm just because there was another rise later on than normal.
