Neeko · 15/05/2011 20:39

Hi girls.

Moon really pleased to hear you sounding more positive. Your turn is defiitely coming.

Blue those party bags sound fab! Wish we were really having them. Hope you enjoyed your weekend away.

Monkey Meet up sounds like it'll be great. Hope the dog and cat survived DS learning his new skill! Smile

Vjay How did the playdate go? I have to confess that I've only done the DVD once and since then I seem unable to find 25 mins Hmm

Cupcake Hope the party was good and the babies behaved.

All ok here. Weekend been busy but uneventful IYKWIM.

littlebellsmum · 15/05/2011 21:56

evening ladies, just a quick post to update you on BabyB's rl party today! We had my two NCT friends round with their families and had a lovely lunch party - pizza, wine, cake and a chocolate treasure hunt for the older dc's. The three babies all sat in highchairs at the table for a good 30 minutes eating pizza etc which was just amazing - BabyB developed a taste for chocolate crispie cakes! All very lovely and cute, but like youcupcake I can't believe they are one - where has that time gone? And the older DC's have been awful all weekend - rude, cheeky and disobedient. I like my babies - so much easier to manage :) I did say that now she was one, we could manage another but dh went very deaf at that point!! I also hasten to add that it will not be happening - my coil is staying firmly in place!! Plans for the party sound good - love the party bags blue - especially the ped egg at this time of year and neeko whatdya mean, we won't really be getting them? Grin
By the way, 4ever BabyB got some Webbles today and they are cool but nothing like the ones I remember from being a kid - much bigger
Got to go - it's party central here - party tea on Wednesday for babyB , older dc's and their best friends! But then, your baby is only one once and this needs celebrating, along with every other opportunity for a party!

Hello girls
Sorry for being awol again, busy week with sil here and D is teething so a little bit knackered all round.

Hope you liked the bunting i put up, it was left over from Dollies birthday but so very cute it had to be used again! Smile Cant believe all the birthdays coming up Shock. Hope you all are having a faboosh birthday week....

Im not ignoring the emails doing the round regarding the meet up, im just trying to sort out the logistics so i can also attend.
We have a wedding on the friday and fly on the sunday so was always planning on heading to Kingston the saturday...so fingers crossed if it's not too far from there and we make good time on the road, Dolly and i shall be joining you for some fun Smile

moon your post made me Smile it's nice to see you being positive, this is the first big step in operation 'make a baby!" Wink We are all behind you 110% and will be cheering you on all the way, same goes for our lovely monkey, how you doing? (said in my best joey from friends voice Grin) what is the next step for you now?

louey bet you cant wait for the end of this week and mat leave starting? Hope you have no plans other to rest and talk non sense to all of us on here...how is sis?

blue i love your party bags, you are defo my kind of gal....

Where is mermaid Hmm

I have no news, we are still in limbo re kl move...kinda desperate to know cos im so very impatient. Its so so so hot here, 46 today and not at all pleasant. All the expats tend to flock home over the next few weeks and so its kind of like a ghost town right now. We are making do with soft play and an hour at the pool every day. A bit tedious but we are getting there. Dolly, at least has got so confident in the water, so will walk from one side of the baby pool to the other all on her own (water up to her chin) Smile and will get out herself and jump in Shock Im a bloody nervous wreak!

Hope everyone is well, sil leaves on thursday so hopefully regular mnetting can commence so after.

Much love
B xx

lbm party sounds absolutely lovely :) shame your older 2 weren't that pleasant but good job it wasn't babyB throwing tantrums at her party :)

neeko the party we went to was lovely thanks- must've cost them a blummin fortune though- massive spread of food (inc a whole load of baby snacks) and bbq , bouncy castle, ball pool, entertainer doing songs/instruments etc with babies Shock party bags...it had it all. Poor Jude isn't getting anything like that GrinGrin

barbie Shock at Dolly getting out of the pool and jumping in! She is so clever. Don't envy you with the heat Confused

qa are you still out there?? You must be approaching 12 weeks now?? Hope you're feeling ok. My RL friend who has mc twice is almost 12 weeks too so I guess you must be due about the same time :)

Someone who was on the May 2010 antenatal thread with me has just had another baby Shock her fifth too. Just can't imagine it, but at the same time lovely to have them so close together.

We have colds and runny noses galore here (me, dh and ds) so all good fun!!

littlebellsmum · 17/05/2011 23:20

wow, moon how exciting!

Just had to let you know that I'm sat here looking at the pile of presents that babybelle will get to open tomorrow - pretty impressive esp as we didn't spend any money on them! DS and DD are giving her some of their old baby things that they had forgetten they had ever had, Grandma and Grandad have bought the pink smart trike ( bet it matches biscuits, 4ever). Theres a first birthday ballon up, banners and ballons at the window and it all looks very party like - just remembered that I need to get the cake out of the freezer ( now done!). Have a lovely day planned for tomorrow - I'm not working, so dd2 and I are going to see dh at work and go out for lunch. Then back on the bus to get ready for her birthday tea with her ds's and their best friends. Spag bol is in the slow cooker and the frog in a ponds are cooling ( green jelly with Freddo frogs on them!). Getting a little teary thinking over the last year with her and the 18 months before she arrived - but maybe thats as everyone else is in bed and I'm on my second glass of wine!
Thank you for all your support over the last year or so ladies - everytime there is a birthday, we need to rememeber that we've all played a part in that little ones life - it may only be a voice on the computer but there's many a day or night we've saved each others sanity. And for that I thank you .
Now, need to go - was supposed to be catching up on loads of work, ah well maybe tomorrow!!

I'm knackered.com so back for catch up on me lunch hour on Friday x

VJayJay · 19/05/2011 17:54

Hello Smile

lbm hope the birthday girl had a lovely time yesterday Smile

Not much to report here, I've been on my own with the boys this week as dh is doing a charity walk along the Fife coast (give him a wave for me blue). I'm going to meet him in St Andrews tomorrow evening and I can't wait, I've missed him so much. We are stopping in Dundee then back home Saturday after he's done the final stretch. He rang eralier, and his feet are killing him, bless.
Then I'm of to Holland next week on my own Confused for a wedding. I'm meeting some of my family over there, should be fun. I'm looking forward to it but also anxious at the same time. Dh says he's looking forward to having the boys to himself, and I'll remind him he said that when I get back Grin

Right bedtime coming up, will be back later if anyone is around Smile

loueytb3 · 19/05/2011 20:11

Ooh vjay a whole week to yourself - you won't know what to do with all the time!!! Well done to your DH for the walk - what is he raising money for?

I'm going to have a mini rant cos I can't on FB for fear of panicking various relatives.....

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!

Had a scan this afternoon. Jackie chan is footling breech which I'm not too bothered about. But its growth has dropped right off, tummy only measuring 30wks and I'm 34 Sad. Sonographer made me go up to day assessment and I have to go in on Saturday for monitoring. I'm due to see the consultant anyway on Monday but apparently it's too long to wait. I'm so gutted (and worried) - I can see my nice relaxing maternity leave disappearing. Just finished work today. Tomorrow morning is now going to involve a trip to mothercare to pick up some bits in case I get admitted or worse. Why can it never be straightforward??????

bluesatinsash · 19/05/2011 20:40

louey big massive hug and hug again.

Feel scunnered and worried for you, you SO deserve some relaxing pre-baby time.... Some babies are just small are they not? Look at barbie's Dolly, she was always measuring small and still is but what a ball of energy! Could it be because your womb had two and now has one, does that squiff their measurements Confused?

How many weeks are you? 34/35? I can empathise as B was nearly delivered at 32 weeks (due to irregular heartbeat) and nearly had the whole prem section of Mothercare bought that day.... Rather than regurgetate here, I've found the link to a thread I started about possibly having a prem/early baby and the supportive replies etc. here

Really feeling for you tonight xx

On a lighter note - you better get your names sorted out!!

loueytb3 · 19/05/2011 21:35

Thanks blue - you've cheered me up with a new random scottish word (?scunnered)

Have read your thread - you really went through it with Ben didn't you. I think part of the problem is I know what having a prem baby entails having been through it already. Its not that the baby is just small because head and legs are measuring 34wks. The tummy growth is the one they look for because if the baby isn't growing properly that is what stops growing. All the blood goes to the head to protect the brain. So I know it's not good, just don't know what they will do. The boys were born at 35+6 but my pre-eclampsia was picked up about now. I am hoping it isn't that. Anyway, have a list of things to get tomorrow and hopefully it won't take me all morning to do it!

littlebellsmum · 19/05/2011 21:39

Oh, louey thats not nice at all but May is a lovely time for a birthday imo!

The good news is that they are monitoring you - I am very good at finding bright sides. Maybe this LO just doesn't want you to alone on mat leave and wants every bit of it to theirself - my ds did - I finished work on the friday and he arrived on the Sunday at 37 weeks.

Try not to worry and step away from the google - only worry comes from there..

babybelle had a lovely day yesterday - well I did anyway. I'm going to try and upload a couple of pictures of the birthday girl

4everhopeful · 20/05/2011 00:04

Night time lurk and huge hug to Louey you poor soul you are bound to be a big ball of weebly nerves, what a worry, specially as you have been through it before.. At least your hospital sounds like they are on the case and providing the utmost care.. We are all here rooting for you and if Jackie Chan decides to make an early appearance then Im sure, despite missing out on a few wks of pottering, it will be so amazing to finally meet your little karate kid! Grin Please do keep us posted if you can, I will be lurking for news!

Vjay bet you cant wait to be with DH again, I hate it even when mine does lates, let alone being away for a week, good on him doing a charity walk though, I would love to do a 5k run again.. Bet you wont know what to do with yourself having a whole week away without your boys! Long baths, face masks, shopping and getting fronked spring to mind though! Grin

Blue it seems so long ago that you were going through your stresses about Ben being born early, yet I remember the details vividly like your paniced drive from one hospital to the other thinking you may have to deliver that day, and your night online at mothercare looking at all the prem baby things.. Cant believe your bonny boy is nearly 18m now! Shock Btw, LOVE the party bags! Grin Exquisite taste my dear! Wink Whats your plans for your big birthday? Will you be the fronked cyber aunty dancing on the table at the virtual quadruple party we are having? Grin We MUST confirm an official date for this shindig ladies!

LBM so pleased it was a wonderful day for babybelle! Cant wait to see pics!

I have been inspired to bake Summer a 1 cake by LBM and Cupcake despite not having made a cake for years! Blush Had a test run last weekend and went well, just have to nail the icing writing! Hmm DH and I are shopping tomorrow for party food and her birthday card, wrapping paper and some prizes for party games! So pleased Summer is walking really well now so can really play with the other kids.. Grin
