Good luck Barbie! Confused

Great stuff about the scan and seeing all is well with babylou Grin despite the moment of panic! Inevitable for us girls to worry after what we went through..

Hello again to Neeko! Grin

Been meaning to say in the last couple of weeks Summer has been standing on her own Shock Grin just a few seconds to start with, getting longer each day before she falls on her bum again!

VJay · 16/02/2011 12:47

Hiya
barbie hope today goes as well as it can for you.

qa yes we got an appointment for Ajay on the 25th and luckily dh is off so can come along too, plus we've got an appointment for Cjay too, that will be a busy day!

louey I feel Angry for you, I've been there, writing letters that I've put a lot of thought and effort into then getting a wishy washy reply back saying nothing can be done, it's so frustating. Hang in there, you are doing so well, I know how hard all this is.
Also a big yay to a great scan Smile

neeko hello Smile

Having a right old week with my two so far, Cjay, after being fab at school all last week, is now being a moody monster, and Ajay is just being Ajay. I've just had to try and squeeze all the baby wipes back into the packet HmmConfused

BuddhaBelly · 16/02/2011 17:09

Sorry I didn't make it back before now, but I've been lurking and thinking of everyone, so glad that your appointment went well 4ever I just love that you were able to do all the same things you used to do but now with the gorgeous Summer, it just made me melt Smile Everything crossed for results
Barbie Good luck- let's get some answers for you x
Monkey Good news on the scan showing everything ok Sad at the pain and now the worry it's caused you, I'm sure everything will be fine, didn't you say you react strongly to all things medical so let's hope it's just that
Sabs Aaahhh loved the gush about S, our PFB's are of course the best! Smile
QA Do I need to dust the pom poms off yet?
Louey I think pink . . . . or maybe blue Hmm Wink Grin Sorry to hear that the complaint hasn't got you anywhere, it's so frustrating for you Sad
cupcake Love the new thread name
LBM Photo's on fb of the cake were brilliant - well done you - far better than I could have done (I cheated and my mum made E's for him!)
Blue You probably already know this but of course England won!!!! Grin
Just seen the time and have to leave work to get my little man Smile
Will try to get back on tomorrow to finish

VJay · 16/02/2011 17:16

Hi buddha Smile

Just got a message from barbie, she can't get online, so here goes, she's ok apart from a sore bum! On the plus side she's lost over 1kg, (am thinking of getting one done myself now Grin), She'll back posting soon Smile

Gotta dash, I have hungry boys...

QuestionableAntics · 16/02/2011 18:15

vjay thsnks for letting us know how barbie has got on. Glad you have got an appointment date through and that your Dh will be there, busy but at least you get to fit it all in one day! Is it half term for you this week or next? Sounds like your boys are keeping you on your toes Smile

4ver Clever Summer, won't be long before she's off Smile

Waves to Buddha those cuddles once you get back make the day worthwhile Smile

barbie Glad you are ok, bet you wouldn't recommend it as a weight loss treatment though would you? Grin Rest up tonight and let your Dh look after you x

Did the ironing, finally got to the bottom of my ironing basket

littlebellsmum · 16/02/2011 20:06

QA Could you come to my house and maybe look at my mending basket too?

barbie Pleased it all went well but I'm sticking to slimming world for weight loss. lost 1st 9lb so far and need to get refocused - think I'm back to prebabyweight. Great news on your weight loss too, sabs

Got to go - work calls

loueytb3 · 16/02/2011 21:48

Just popping to see how barbie got on - vjay thanks for the update. On my way home from dinner and am v tired and on my phone so will do longer post tomorrow.

BuddhaBelly · 17/02/2011 09:02

Vjay Thanks for the Barbie update - sounds as if you are being kept busy, is Cjay's mood any better today? Why is it that the wipes never go back in well and you always end up with a huge fat pack of wipes?? Grin
QA Check you out ironing queen!
LBM Well done on the weight loss very Envy I just can't seem to get myself sorted enough to diet properly at the moment.
I'll probably be on loads today as I'm quarantined at work. E has impetigo so is off nursery and with my MIL, he's been in a bit of a state with it all around his mouth and lips, up his nose etc, I've got a few patches but just on my arms and hand so I'm still working but on my own in a little room like a leper! Wink Unfortunately he was playing with my friends little boy Monday before we got the diagnosis and now he's got it Blush oops feel very guilty.
Louey How did it go last night?

BuddhaBelly · 17/02/2011 14:46

Typical - no one is posting now I've got the time to be in here Sad
Oh well suppose I'll just have to work instead
I'll go make a Brew and check back later

QuestionableAntics · 17/02/2011 15:01

Hi Buddha poor you being quarantined, though perhpas you are enjoying a bit of peace and quiet and Sad for your poor DS, impetigo is not nice. We have never had it but frineds' children have. Hopefully it will clear up quickly, had the Doctor given him something for it? Don't feel bad about your friend's DC getting it, it is so contagious and there's very little you can do about it. Love the fact that you are using the time wisely and MNetting Grin

LBM Well done on your weight loss, that's impressive Smile

louey any news about the school yet? Fingers crossed for good news for you.

Having a relaxing day at home with DS, he has sent me off because he is 'busy playing with my train and I am needed urgently to sort out problems on the railway so go for 10 minutes Mummy' Err ok, cup of tea it is then. I can hear him getting very involved in his play from the kitchen Smile

loueytb3 · 17/02/2011 16:23

buddha poor you but yay for getting more time to MN Grin. Agree with QA you can't worry about passing it onto another child - you didn't know. Its impossible with kids - they are always passing things around. My sister was ok thanks - they have decided to try again and my parents are giving them some more money to do a second round of IVF. Apparently the first one cost £9,000 Shock The clinic have said that there was no obvious reason why it didn't work. Just hope they get more eggs out this time round so she has a better chance.

QA your DS sounds adorable Smile Am willing the 2ww to go quickly and have a nice fat shiny BFP at the end of it. No news about the school - am on tenterhooks as it should be anytime. They went into see him yesterday at nursery and gave the nursery no feedback. Apparently there is definitely a place in the unit, and if they think he is suitable then he will get it. I spoke to special educational needs yesterday and they said that the unit are usually very quick to let them know. I wish they would bloody hurry up! I did find out yesterday that the panel have agreed to fund weekly occupational therapy for 6 months so we have won that particular battle. Will save us a fortune in OT fees!

LBM fabby weight loss - well done you. Clearly its all that running around after 3 kids

barbie how are you feeling today? Was wondering if they have told you the results yet?

Had a MW appt this morning which wasn't all good. Have a trace of protein in my wee and my bp is up. MW said its either the early onset of PE or a urine infection. Really hope its the latter as 21wks is v early to be developing PE Sad Why can it never be straightforward Confused.

QuestionableAntics · 17/02/2011 17:42

Louey Sorry about your midwife appointment bringing worries. Didn't you have a urine infection recently? Maybe it just didn't clear up properly or you might just be susceptible to them this pregnancy. What is PE? Why can it never be straight forward is a good question, wish I could answer that for you Sad Hopefully it will turn out to be an easily treated infection. Smile Feel for your sister too, it's bad enough with that ttc feeling without with pressure of spending £9000 trying. What are the odds each time? Great news about the OT, the money you will save will definitely be needed for DC3 Grin It's positive news as well that there is actually a place, just hope you find out soon if it's your DS's. Just try and get some rest, you have got a lot on this week and after your midwife appointment too, I think you need to put your feet up and have an early night tonight. Look after yourself x

loueytb3 · 17/02/2011 18:09

Yes I did QA - think its more likely to be a new infection cos the last one was a few weeks ago and antibiotics got rid of it. PE = pre-eclampsia and I had it with the boys but it didn't start until around 32wks. Will try and get an early night. Must go and pick boys up from the childminder now!

BuddhaBelly · 18/02/2011 10:18

QA Love the fact you got the "go ahead" from DS to MN Smile Brilliant! I'm getting the pom poms out of the back of the cupboard ready to do the stay away AF dance for you Wink
Louey I bet your sister is over the moon that your lovely parents have funded a second go Smile But like QA said it's such terrible pressure to be under at the best of times without that added stress too. Good news on the funding for OT fees, hope you hear soon about the placement too. Fingers crossed the protein is just a new infection Sad rather than PE as the lesser of two evils! Lots of relaxing and feet up says Buddha with a stern look Grin

Well I'm out of quarantine and back at my normal desk today Grin Yey! E's face is getting better by the day, I might take him out in public tomorrow Wink

loueytb3 · 18/02/2011 10:37

Morning buddha - good news that you are out of quarantine and that E's face is getting better! Am waiting for Drs to call me back as I'm sure I have a urine infection. Just don't know whether I will need to actually see the Dr or whether they will prescribe over the phone.

BuddhaBelly · 18/02/2011 13:42

Louey Have you heard yet? Hopefully they will be able to just do a prescription for anti b's save all the hassle of an appt!

Looks like it's just you and I in here today Hmm

VJay · 18/02/2011 13:46

Hello Smile

loueytb3 · 18/02/2011 13:51

Hi vjay

Am on antibiotics until at least Monday when they see what my sample grows

Just got a call to say that Isaac has a place in the unit. Had a little cry - can't tell you how much of a relief it is!

VJay · 18/02/2011 13:55

Yay louey that is brilliant, about Isaac that is, I am so pleased for you and the wee man Smile

Hope the AB's kick in sharpish Smile

BuddhaBelly · 18/02/2011 15:56

Louey Hurray Grin Grin Grin

QuestionableAntics · 18/02/2011 19:06

Louey That's fantastic news about Isaac getting a place in the unit, will make it so much easier for you to have all his support on the in one place. So pleased for Isaac too, great to know he will be in a place that will understand his needs so fully Smile Smile Also glad that it seems more like an infection now rather than PE, as buddha said it is the lesser of two evils. Hope the antibiotics do the trick and it clears up quickly.

buddha Glad you and E are out of quarantine and will be back mixing with the general public in time for the weekend! Grin

vjay I initially read you message to louey as 'I am so pleased for you and the wee man as said in a slight 60's hippy vibe and you were referring to her urine infection Blush Grin

Going out tonight so need to finish off getting ready. Really looking forward to a night out Smile

littlebellsmum · 18/02/2011 20:07

louey hurrah to Issacs place! Really good news

bluesatinsash · 18/02/2011 20:22

louey delighted for you and Isaac Smile. Well done for your dogged research and fighting for your wee man (Vjay - you are a true Scots native if you're coming out with that Wink)

Still think your 20-week scna photo has a pink feel to it.... Hmm Smile

Really hope your unrine+ is nothing. I had it at a couple of my ante-natal check ups but all NAD (to use their terminology)

QA - have a lovelynight tonight and your DS sounds just lovely, check him with his leave me alone problem solving scenarios Grin. A future Professor Brian Cox perhaps

barbie - how's the royal bottom?

Buddha glad you're out of quarantine and E is healing too. I shall draw a veil over Scotland's performance so far..

4ever - lovely reading about your London day out with Summer in tow Smile. Hope you had some savour-the-moments with DH to congratulate you both on not giving up. I would say your bf is probably affecting your cycle still...

Hey to everyone else, just passing through on my way to the wine cellar. Another busy week work wise and half term for my Isaac so no sneaky MN whilst B sleeps.. Took him to see Yogi Bear at piccies yesterday, just some quality time with my PFB. I sat and sniffed his hair (he was on my knee) and still remembered how his being born was the best moment of my life bar NONE (matched of course with Ben Smile).

Ta ra the noo x

cupcakefairy · 18/02/2011 22:48

Hi ladies, quick hello and attempt to catch up :)

Been a bit of a disaster week in the cupcake household... I have had tonsillitis...still suffering a bit but mostly better; nasty fever for 48 hours though barely able to even lift Jude etc, discovering first hand there are no sick days for mummies!!

Then on Weds Jude had horrible accident; stood up holding on to the back of one of our dining chairs and fell backwards with it falling hard on his face :( I scooped him up for a hug obviously and when I looked at his face again it was covered in blood ShockShock I was in shock..it was coming from his gum. So so horrible :( Thankfully he seems ok now, just a cut and a bump to the head. Dear me.

So anyway, we have had to cancel our weekend away as my bf is ill too and we didn't want to risk passing infections back and forth and on to babies...so we have rescheduled. But still, bit of a downer :( we've had chinese takeaway tonight to cheer ourselves up!

Sorry...enough about me...
4ever so lovely to read your post; really pleased about everything looking good for ttc take 2... especially the prolapse thing. It's something I'm quite paranoid about too after my botched epi so should probably get checked out. I had my (first ever Shock) smear booked this wk but had to rearrange for next week cos of af Blush
Sure your bf is still affecting cycle, as blue said. I think I only ovulated for the first time since Jude last month, when I started winding down the bfing. My charts look back to pre-preg normal now anyway.

Louey so so glad the scan was good, and massive congratulations on Isaac's place that's such great news :) fx the protein is nothing to worry about.

qa massive at your ds!! How old is he? Just too cute for words. Do you have a Puzzler or similar to help pass the 2ww? Wink I love a good Codeword Grin

Vjay I lol'd at having to put all the baby wipes back Grin hope Cjay gets back to his happier self soon!

barbie thinking of you. Can you sit down ok? Grin

buddha glad E (and you!) are ok now...love the idea of quarantine at work! I'd be MNing and drinking tea all day Grin

Hi neeko- no apologising lady. Busy weebles can flit in and out of the greenhouse as and when, we all understand :) hope you're ok.

moon how are you doing?

curly hope everyone at work is being extra nice to you!!

mls if you're lurking, we miss you!!

sabs soooo lovely reading how much you love Saara. No apologies needed! Love the image of her just climbing out of her cot into bed with you Grin

blue at you sniffing ds' hair :)

Right must dash...dh has gone to bed already. Oh but first I have to sneak a look at my boy as we do every night Grin
Night all! xxx

Stumbles in blurry eyed, how can a first birthday party go on from 1pm until 12.30am Shock

Apologies for not coming back to post after operation bumgate Wink i was totally floored monkey was so right, no energy from being up all night before hand, too scared to fall asleep in case i had an accident Blush, thankfully i didnt Grin and not being able to eat for almost 36 hours left me almost on my knees....Thankfully mum was here to have Dolly and dh was fab too Smile

I wont go into detail but it really isnt the nicest thing to have done, but like vjay reported i did lose weight, almost 2kg in the end so i guess it had some benefits...Funny moment when coming around from op, the heart rate monitor was wrapped around my legs and i started freaking out saying that the baddie nurses had handcuffed my legs together Grin and every time it beeped to told James that Dolly's alarm was going off...this was after telling him off for playing football with the england team in the corner of my recovery room Hmm....but the worst was when i told the nurse that i thought i had shat myself Blush how very uncouth and unbecoming of me Grin.

I have been told that i have ibs Hmm and the pain isnt not related in any way, i can have more test to get to the bottom of it but declined as im sure its just the c section scar...

Dolly had her party yesterday, it was so fab..I was one proud mummy. Once i get a few minutes i will sent pics to all of you Smile

Mum and sil is here, hectic to say the least. Im lurking and will try to catch up more soon.

louey very pleased for you on your scan and the good news you just had Smile

Will be back soon, much love to all

Ps, budda hope E feels better soon xxx

pps, just had my first 'proper' period (so far its been 3 days) so we are ttc! So will be rejoining my fabby friends on the small panters bench...move up ladies....
