Hi all.
I had planned to only have a quick lurk but had to post to Moon. I'm really sorry that you're feeling so low and can imagine how frustrated you must feel. Like the others have said, I'm certain your time will come- and soon - and I know you'll be a lovely mummy. I'll be thinking of you on Thursday.

Monkey Sorry to hear about your dog Sad and your back. Hope you're taking it easy and your jags come to fruition this month.

Barbie Enjoy family time. Hope the ears are better.

Cupcake That cake looks great. The 1st birthday is so exciting! How's your friend getting on with her sleepless tot? Musical Greys was bizarre Confused, but I still LOVE it! Smile

4ever Yay to Summer walking.Smile Bet the birthday bash will be great.

Louey Put your feet up Mrs!

Vjay I'm waiting on my Shred DVD. Are you doing it? I finally made it to a 7.5lb loss this week so feel that I'm getting somewhere now. It's been slow after the initial 3lb loss, but at least it's steady. How's the studying going?

LBM I was all misty-eyed reading about your holiday memories. It reminded me to take more time to enjoy such moments. Smile It sounds like you had a fabulous time. Lol at Babybell's perfect crawling timing! Smile

Blue Gorgeous pics of your gorgeous boy! We bought H's first proper shoes at the weekend and she refused to walk in them! All right now, but my goodness she's headstrong! Smile

Sabs Hope you're bearing up lovely? Thinking of you.

Mermaid Are you out there or have you shredded away!? Grin

MLS The race is on! Grin

We booked a holiday to Ribby Hall near Blackpool for July 11th and I intend to be wearing my thin jeans! All else fine here, but busy. H is running and climbing Shock and definitely understanding much more. When I sing Peppa Pig she snorts which I find hilarious. Not sure if it's a pig noise or she's snorting at my singing!! Confused Grin

Big waves to QA, Curly, GG, Buddha and anyone else whose lurking or I've missed.

cupcakefairy · 11/05/2011 13:45

Hi neeko :) well done on the weight loss! Lol, H makes me laugh with her headstrong character Grin she's got a great career ahead of her as a lawyer or something!

I forgot to say the other day that lbm your holiday memories brought a lump to my throat too- beautiful, and what family is all about.

moon you know there's no need to say thanks, it's what we're here for :)
And we're not going to stop telling you IT WILL HAPPEN.

monkey thanks for the email, about to reply- I'm definitely up for meetup if I can convince dh to come to London :)

4ever you're lovely.

And yes we miss you mermaid, where are you??

Oh, and isn't bq due 11th June? Or is that louey? I can't remember...either way, about time you checked in with us miss bakingqueen and bakingprince :)

OP posts:
bluesatinsash · 11/05/2011 16:21

cupcake - think louey is due on 29th June Hmm? Not sure about BQ but possibly mid June?

Moon - I remember we were pg the same time, you with your second lost lo and me with B. For you to be here two years on is a testament to your strength and determination. You are absolutely doing all you can, getting checked out and hopefully after your docs meeting, coming up with a plan. At the risk of sounding trite I would really recommend anything that can help you relax, not to take your mind off ttc as such but rather giving you something for you. Having to deal with other womens pgs is one of the hardest things ever as you want to be happy for them but instead are filled with "not fair" "why not me" "when will it happens".

One thing I have tried to do since having my mc and going on to have another baby is being much more sensitive and aware. I would never assume anyones pg is stress free, never assume anyone without children are just not wanting any. I didn't put scan photos of B up on FB, too personal but also someone who had just suffered a loss may have had to look at them and been heart broken all over again.

When you become pg and a Mum you will remember the journey you had to go on to get there and be a better person for it and that baby will be the most cherished, adored and loved lo since, well all the other Emmsy Graduates Smile

Let us know how you get on tomorrow x

loueytb3 · 11/05/2011 17:32

Quick post, having a 5 min break at work...

I'm due on the 29th as blue said, BQ is due on the 11th - I remember because its my Dads birthday. BQ hope you are ok, you must be finishing up work soon too, if you haven't already.

If I go down the section route I will probably have the baby on the 22nd (ish) because they do them at 39wks. Having said that I had an hour with a consultant mw this morning at the VBAC clinic and I'm still undecided about what to do. Up until yesterday Jackie Chan was breech but he/she seems to have turned head down overnight. Have a scan next Thursday anyway so will see which way it is then.

moon hope you are feeling a little better and that your appt goes well tomorrow. Please pop in if you can and let us know what they say.

skinnyneeko loving the idea of getting into your thin jeans Grin

Waves to everyone else - think the meet up may be a bit soon for me unfortunately, will depend on when this LO is born and by what method. Got to go, am frantically trying to finish things off at work so I can enjoy my mat leave...

cupcakefairy · 11/05/2011 18:04

neeko sorry I forgot to answer about my friend- the sleepless tot is doing much better, thanks for asking :) going 4-hour stretches at night and going down to bed at 7pm every night for a while now... which is a MASSIVE improvement so she's a bit saner now :)

One month today til bakingprince joins us then Grin I can't wait!

blue what you said is so lovely...and totally true that the journey we go on shapes us. I feel the same way about scan photos and always feel a little pang when I see people put them up online, and I wonder who might be feeling sad seeing them :(

oh and hi louey- don't envy your decision re vbac/cs Confused

BlueMoon1981 · 11/05/2011 19:34

Thank you girls for more lovely words, I feel like I've taken over the thread Blush blue your post was really lovely, you always did have a way with words, and you are definitely right that you never assume anything again - the amount of times people have said to me, 'So dont you want kids then?' and I have to laugh it off and say 'Hopefully one day....'

I'll check in tomorrow and let you know what the doctors say.

Big hugs all round, and at the risk of cupcake whacking me on the head Wink thank you Grin

littlebellsmum · 11/05/2011 22:10

I think from that message, moon, you would like us to move on ( after you've updated us tomorrow) and so, I have a plan..

I think we need a distraction whilst we wait for our two new graduates and for moon to get up the duff so, we need your help planning the first birthday party for the next three graduates.

As I am now an expert in these things (not) after planning the RL party that we are having for BB and her two baby friends, I'll start the ball rolling with this. 4ever I love that cake - on Sunday, I'm doing a no 1 with a baby blanket and icing teddy which will be fun. ( on the birthday subject, BB is also getting a smart trike from her grandparents too!)

So, I'm happy to make the virtual cake. What other volunteers do we have?

littlebellsmum · 11/05/2011 22:12

So, what happened with the bold then? Even mumsnet is getting happy at the idea of a party - oh and by the way, I think we need to work out numbers for this party as there could be a bit of a crowd, my older DC's won;t want to miss it, nor the others either I don't think..

BlueMoon1981 · 11/05/2011 22:18

Ooh good idea lbm can I do jelly and ice cream, and I'll do vodka jellies for the grown ups after party Wink vjay you can get well and truly fronked on those Grin

Neeko · 12/05/2011 09:59

Good luck today Moon

I'll do the top hat and traffic light cakes and some slimming crudites for the mums. 3 coming from here! Smile

4everhopeful · 12/05/2011 11:27

Oooh how exciting! Grin Summers really looking forward to celebrating with Babybelle and Jude, and all her Emmsys Auntys and cousins! Grin

I will bring some of my supply of 1st birthday balloons, banners, bunting, plates, napkins and cups! Dont mind organising pass the parcel and musical statues as well for the older kids! Grin

4everhopeful · 12/05/2011 11:45

Oh and im very ashamed that Im not sure of babybelle and Judes exact birthdays, is it the 19th for babybelle and Jude the 5th? Hmm I know we all swapped edds in the end! Was it Jude who was due on Summers birthday (26th)? Tis confusing!

Moon I shall be lurking for news later Wink

VJayJay · 12/05/2011 12:56

Thinking of you moon, please let us know how you get on.

neeko I'm suprised to see you on here after your shred last night Grin

blue I love your words of wisdom, you're ace!!!!!!

mermaid get out of your hidey hole and come and see us, it's flip flop friday tomorrow and I expect to see you Wink

lbm your cake sounds yummy, and cupcake I love that dotty one Smile

Right I'm bringing cheese and pineapple on sticks Grin, always a favourite!

BlueMoon1981 · 12/05/2011 19:14

Good to see the party preparations are well under way :)

Doctors appointment went well, it was mainly just to confirm all our results came back good, we'd had them drip fed to us as and as when they were available cuz we were too impatient to wait until now. We have been referred to the fertility clinic and we should hear from them within 5 working days. Not much else to report really, but am feeling quite hopeful now, isnt it funny what difference one appointment makes when what we've been told is no different..... Had a celebratory pizza on the way home! Diet out the window for the evening (have lost just over a stone in weight so far this year :))

Big hugs to everyone Grin

VJayJay · 12/05/2011 20:00

Smile moon I'm smiling away here for you, you sound so much happier. And well done on the weight loss I've lost a stone too since Jan yay!
Here's a celebratory Wine to you getting knocked up soon Grin x x x

loueytb3 · 12/05/2011 20:57

moon that's great news. You will be up the duff before you know it Grin

littlebellsmum · 12/05/2011 23:01

Hurrah, moon gets good news and our party is coming together!

We have some food ( but need sandwiches or some of that celebratory pizza), lots of sweet stuff, some decorations and games. What we don't have yet is a date, party bags and some drinks - we will need to get fronked.

You're right, 4ever, we did mix up dates a bit - I think bb got judes ish ( 18th), biscuit got BB's ish ( 25th) and Jude was nearer biscuits
So, think we should go for a date after/ near biscuits as then it should be in the middle - someone chose a night!

bluesatinsash · 13/05/2011 12:39

Moon - hope your pizza was yummy Smile. Exciting times ahead with the fertility treatment. I feel you may have your hands full for your wedding in more ways than one Wink

Hands up to do the adult party bags - contents therin:

Clarins Beauty flash (for ancient and tired skin)
Ped Egg (see above if you have haggered skin concentrate on your feet)
Kindle (of course!)
Mini flute of champagne
Slanket
Chocolate Smile

Its my 40th on 29th May so I can gatecrash as the oldest Gemini in town Grin

Off to caravan after work, have a lovely weekend everyone x

VJayJay · 13/05/2011 15:43

Yes blue you can defo do the party bags Grin
Have a lovely weekend. I miss being able to do that, my family have a chalet in Anglesey and my sis is on her way there this weekend, we just live too far away to do it.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend, cjay has a playdate tomorrow Smile

monkeybumsmum · 13/05/2011 16:27

Moon so glad your appointment was positive, and it is very exciting! It's great you don't have to wait too long to hear from the FC. I hope all it takes is the tiniest bit of help Smile

Blue those party bags sound fab! I can provide the wine, what with living on the 'continent' and all that Wink Can also do a mean pesto pizza, so shall make lots! Oooohh what to wear??? What are you doing for your 40th? Hope you have something brilliant planned!

Vjay Where in Anglesey is your family's chalet? I spent lots of time in Trearddur when I was younger, it holds magical memories for me now Smile

Sorry to dash but ds is outside playing with his new air operated pistol thing. It seems ominously quiet, so must go and check that the remaining dog or the cat are not backed up against a tree somewhere Grin
Have a good weekend all!

cupcakefairy · 13/05/2011 19:32

Ooh how exciting, a virtual party Grin blue we should definitely make it a joint celebration for you too so it should be 28th May?? (As I suppose you will be with your 'other' family on the actual date Wink)
I'll do the invitations for the party :) (and all the thank you cards afterwards!!) - they'll have big sparkly number 1s on them, in green of course to be gender-neutral Wink

We have a party for one of our nct babies tomorrow.. they're growing up too fast!!

Yep, 4ever, lbm is right about the dates...Jude was due when babybelle was born but arrived on 5th June.

moon soooo fab to read you sounding so much more positive. I remember feeling that kind of feeling after my checkup 4 weeks post-mc, I'd been feeling so so down but just to hear them say everything was fine and we could start trying again I left with a little more spring in my step. I cannot wait to hear your announcement sooooon Grin

Aaaaahhh...flip-flop Friday, gonna flop on sofa with dh, eat pizza and watch Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip :)
