This is the place to be for all those wanting to TTC after miscarriage, or have plans on TTC in the relatively near future. This thread is full of support from people who have been there and no how you are feeling so jump on board and share the Wine and chocolate (or water and celery for those of you off alcohol and caffeine Wink)

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Ask any questions that have been niggling you or that you are concerned about, perhaps someone here has experienced the same in the past.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

This is the old thread ref:

PMing does sound rude doesn't it!! Grin

Mouse been thinking of you today, hope fanjocam brings positive news tomorrow ((hugs)) xx

olis try and stay calm, I thought you were going to wait until Sunday?? Grin Grin Grin

I'm not on FF, perhaps I should be charting, perhaps that's where I've been going wrong? I also don't have any sticks of any variety in the house, ever. Waited until I was a week late before I tested and got BFP, this isn't normal right? Confused

Waves to everyone and chuckles again at Mumtum in her closet!

wildsheep, Laylas how are you?

Blackkat · 02/03/2011 21:41

Waves to ninu sorry we're always xposting! x

Ninunina · 02/03/2011 21:52

Forgot to send ((hugs)) to Mouse Good luck with fanjocam tomorrow. Hope you get the all clear.

Blackkat do you have a regular cycle? I never bothered with FF, Temping & Opk's before. My cycles were quite regular after coming of the pill (every 28 days), however in Nov & Dec my cycle changed to 35 days. When I had my scan they noticed that I might have PCOS, which I know I didn't have 6 months before, so that would explain the longer cycle. I've only started temping etc since MC since I don't want to miss ovulation day in case my cycle screws up again.

olismum23 · 02/03/2011 21:52

Yes i was going to wait till Sunday and really should have BFN :( Will wait till Sunday if it kills me!!

Collie2 · 02/03/2011 21:54

blackkat I think you'll find your the normal one, rather the rest of us who have an OCD compulsion to poas! I think it's a healthy choice not to temp, it's a blooming headache and I question the benefits but once you've started you're hooked!!

mumtum I am very Envy at your stable chart! Mines all over the blooming place!

Blackkat · 02/03/2011 21:58

olis did you test? cep administer fish please?!
Glad to hear you'll wait til Sunday.

Ninu I have bonkers cycles, sometimes annovulatory. I do have PCOS. OPK's don't work bcs my LH levels can be all over the shop, I keep an eye on CM as that seems the best sign and also know when I feel more like DTD anyway Grin Grin
Just remember that bcs you have polycystic ovaries doesn't mean you've got PCOS and just bcs you've got PCOS doesn't mean you might have problems conceiving, worth getting a bit more info from your GP or gynae??

cep · 02/03/2011 21:58

mouse so glad the service went well. and good luck for tomorrow, hope it goes as well as possible.

oli glad that you did the test previously means any new +ve is definately a new pg. hon this time of night is not the best time to test. you need to use fmu. i got a +ve with fmu 2 days after a -ve afternoon wee. i reckon you should still wait for a few days. it's only been about 3 weeks.

I'm glad people are getting the comfort they need from here. Smile

Collie2 · 02/03/2011 22:00

oils I am impressed you are still waiting having sent OH out for tests! ?>

mouse so glad service went well today. good luck for tomorrow.

Blackkat · 02/03/2011 22:01

Collie will try to remember I'm normal Grin

olis ceps advice sounds very good, much better than mine!

cep · 02/03/2011 22:08

temping is addictive, but it made me feel like i was doing something to help. it took me so long to write my last post i xposted with everyone. it's whatever makes people feel better.

olismum23 · 02/03/2011 22:13

Thanks all its hard to wait but i think it will be the right thing to do I so impatient Fish slap well deserved sad now :(

cep · 02/03/2011 22:26

oh hon, please don't be sad. keep dtd just to be on the safe side. Grin

ochaye has just joined the nov 11 thread, so will need to move to recent bfps in tomorrows update.

Hils74 · 02/03/2011 22:35

mouse glad it went ok and good luck for tomorrow.

vegas I remember you from the Oct bus, so sorry for your loss, everyone has been so supportive on here and they are always there if you have questions or want to rant :)

Ninunina · 02/03/2011 22:35

Blackkat You're totally right. The scan only showed that I have PCO, not PCOS (I'm so used to researching PCOS). I've emailed my gyni and he's told me to see if my cycle returns to normal, and if it doesn't I should go and see him, but he's not too concerned since I conceived spontaniously last time.

I understand how difficult PCOS can be. My friend has a very bad case of it, even though she's a size 8 and not hairy at all.

Collie2 · 03/03/2011 06:15

My temp dipped again today Sad

Blackkat · 03/03/2011 07:02

Collie ((hugs))

Oli Hang in there

Great news for ochaye Grin

Ninu pleased it was only a PCO - FX the cycles resume normally. Smile

mouse thinking of you today x

Waves to cep lili, lily, chloe, melies and everyone else

cep · 03/03/2011 07:36

morning ladies,

ninu glad it was only a pco and not pcos.

collie don't worry hon, it could be that you're just going to ov a bit later than normal this month. It could also be that maybe you got uncovered during the night, or colder, it's all frozen down here so maybe you were colder during the night. Try and treat it as an experiment this month, so you get to learn your "normal" temp throughout the cycle. I know it's difficult, i was exactly like this my last 2 cycles. it makes you wish you'd been doing it for months even when you didn't need to. since my bfp i've stopped doing it which is really bad cause if anything happens i'll have to start all over again.

hope everyone is ok this morning.

i had my last dose of the cream last night so yay it's all done with.

meliesmummy · 03/03/2011 07:58

Good morning.

oli well done for your patience, seriously, what's your secret?!

ninu you can email your gynae?! Wow, I wish drs round here were that easy to get hold of! I hope your pco doesn't make things more difficult for you x

blackkat you are not normal you are amazingly patient? :) I want whatever you and olis are having! I spend an absolute fortune on peesticks then wonder why they are neg!

collie :( about the temp thing, maybe cep is right tho, it was v cold last night.

cep yay for no more fanjo cream! Do you have to do a repeat swab?

Best wishes again for today mouse.

chloe how is ds's head?

My dds in nursery this morning so I'll be having time to myself cleaning and going to sainsburys. Then this afternoon I'm going to see my friend and her new baby, which I'm actually looking forward to, I haven't seen my friend for a while bcos she lives an hour away and she's been too ill to come and see me and I've been too ill to go and see her, plus I know she'll be gentle with me bcos she's been here herself.

Chloe55 · 03/03/2011 09:34

Oh no, what sad news for ladybee Sad It is almost unbearable having to go through it again Sad I hate to hear these stories.

Is 5dpo too early for stick peeing???!!! Grin Yes, I know it is so no, I won't Grin

Xfactor was brilliant!!! The best concert I have been to and it would have been even better if there had been less of Cher involved. We had amazing seats too and were in spitting distance of the whole thing, I loved it.

mouse glad yesterday went ok for you and hope today brings you the news you are after.

meliesmummy · 03/03/2011 12:27

Chloe I'm here for a few mins before the nursery run (got told off a few weeks ago for being late, in my defence:

  1. they changed it from 1:30 to 1 after Xmas; and
  2. The first week I got there at 1 and they hadn't finished lunch, I just had to sit there like a lemon waiting; and
  3. No one else is there at 1!
So I'd better not be distracted by mn and face another telling off!
meliesmummy · 03/03/2011 12:35

I just realised I made myself sound like a terrible mother who abandons her poor child at nursery, I'm not! It's an all day one so it doesn't close at 1, she's not left out on her own or anything! The morning session finishes at 1, I always got there by 1:15 and it was only bcos I felt a bit silly watching them all eat lunch from the corner! Now I've had my telling off tho I'll be there at 1 on the dot, apparently lunch has been brought forward (and btw it still costs the same even tho the session is shorter!)

Chloe55 · 03/03/2011 12:38

When ds was at nursery they were real sticklers - if you were a minute late you got a £10 charge. When I was childminding I maybe should have took a leaf out of their book though as despite having a £5 late charge I never enforced it so people took the piss a bit. I think they thought as I was already in my own home that it didn't matter if they were 10/15minutes late but they forgot that I had a ds who wanted some 'just mummy time' before bed and a dh to prepare tea for Angry
