Hi all

Had a mc about 3 1/2 years ago and it affected me really badly and only now do I feel ready to try again. I am 39 next month and thinking I must be mad and my chances might not be so good. Anyone else out there who is trying for the first time in there late 30s?

Hello, I'm 37 and trying for the first time, this is our 2nd month.

Good luck x

There are loads of us, I came off the pill last summer and am 37, never tried to conceive before as I thought I was infertile. No luck yet but still working at it :)

Good luck, maybe join one of the TTC threads :)

Hi Mersea, very sorry about your mc. I'm 38 and TTC #1 too - I posted this before I spotted your thread.

Maybe we should start a Late-30s thread? Clearly we're not in our Feisty Forties, and the BESH threads seem to be mainly the domain of (admittedly lovely) early-mid-thirties-ers.

Anyway, very best of luck to you and all of us "late starters" Wink

Hi LateStarterAndPanicking thank you for posting your message and the link to your thread. I hope things work out for you I also feel like I have left it too late, but like you had a number of bad moments (the mc and then we were burgled). I could sometimes kick myself for not starting sooner but I know I need to feel positive about the fact we are trying now. My partner is 8 years younger than me so hoping that will be to our advantage!
