Jump on if you are a TTCer hoping that this cycle is 'the one' and will result in a sprog or sprogette due in November.

Just updating with ones we've missed. Sorry to hear of all the BFN's, here's hoping we start to get more BFP's soon! I have started taking Agnus castus, so will see what happens!

All the best for Saturday Queen! Just think of the fun you will have trying to get a honeymoon baby!

weimy · 22/02/2011 22:59

FX Bluecrane !!!!!!

Iggly · 23/02/2011 06:30

Good luck Blue!!!

Well AF got me good and proper this morning. Should have guessed when I got pretty stroppy with DH after dinner Grin looking at my cycle on FF, I think I ovulated around CD20, hence the later AF. oh well I'll lurk to see if the rest of you have more luck and I hope I don't see any of you on the next bus Grin

cep · 23/02/2011 07:17

blue what's agnus castus supposed to help with?? I've heard a few people mentioning it and just wondered, and is it expensive?

iggly sorry she's here, but think i'm going to be following soon. quite a lot of blood in my cm this morning. still nothing on pad though.

BlueCrane · 23/02/2011 07:59

Well....BFN here this morning. Not suprised as it could still be v early depnding on what my cycle's doing this month [AF due sat-weds?!?]. Am SO pleased that I invested in my internet cheapie tests as it makes the BFN experience so much better not thinking about having peed on £5 as well as the bfn! Also means I can test everyday from now and not stress about spending a fortune Grin

Sorry cep think it was someone else who referred to the agnus castus as I have no idea!!!

iggly so sorry AF came to visit Sad

queenrollo · 23/02/2011 08:47

no worries cep at the moment i'm concentrating on the wedding and glad that it's taking my mind off the TTC for a bit.

Agnus castus is a herbal remedy. It is supposed to help rebalance the hormonal system. I took it when TTC ds as my cycles were all over the place (like this time!). I was going to use it again but have a friend who is a medical herbalist so she made me a specific mixture that got me onto a regular cycle.
You have to be careful taking Agnus as it can actually have the opposite effect of what you desire depending on how your own body is working.(i did actually get pregnant the second month i was using and DS is the result. Don't know if it was the AC or just my body doing it's thing though)

lucyintheskywithdinos · 23/02/2011 11:31

Still plenty of time for a BFP BlueCrane!

I think I have PMT :( really crabby and short tempered with the DDs and now weepy too. Last cycle I had PMT for a fortnight, which was crap.

BlueCrane · 23/02/2011 13:32

Thanks lucy am trying to stay chilled here! In a sense my cycle going a bit crazy last month is helping me stay more relaxed as I really don't know when AF actually due so whilst the wait could be longer my expectations of a bfp at the moment are less...though clearly if I haven't got AF yet this time next week I will be feeling less patient Wink

Any news from ravenlocks KnackeredCow sillybillymummy Bornofdust Weimy or OutIntoTheBlue have any of you tested yet? Smile

Poppyjen · 23/02/2011 13:35

Hi ladies, feeling a bit blue today and hoping someone can cheer me up! We haven't told anyone we're trying for no2 so its hard to find someone to talk to about these things - hoping you ladies will understand Smile

Here's the thing...I love being a mummy so much and despite all of the trials and tribulations of DS1's first year he is an absolute joy and every day I feel like I love him so much it hurts. Somehow feeling like I want another feels like a bit of a betrayal (am I mad??) I just can't conceive of (sorry terrible pun) how I could love another child as much as him, or have room in my mind for double the constant worry Wink

I think I am over-thinking this, neither DH or I can wait for another to come along and I know that it will be fine, it's just so hard to imagine what it will be like having 2.

Does anyone out there have any advice/experience to comfort me Smile

P xx

Poppyjen · 23/02/2011 13:47

oooh and on a slightly different note (TMI alert!) I found this site when we were TTC for DS1 and whilst (extremely) icky I found it really interesting in terms of understanding what to look for in CM changes through cycle [http://www.beautifulcervix.com/]]

Those with a sensitive disposition about these things please don't hold me responsible for your reaction! It is essentially a woman who had photographed her cervix for an entire menstrual cycle Shock

BlueCrane · 23/02/2011 14:32

oooh poppyjen can't really help with your first post as we're only TTCing #1 but am sure it will be fine and as soon as you meet DC2 you will be smitten and the experiences from DC1 can only help with dealing with DC2!

Re. the cervix website I may give it a miss Blush ...why on earth did she decide to take photos like that?!?! Shock Guess if I'm still trying in 6 months then I may see how squeamish I'm feeling!!

Poppyjen · 23/02/2011 14:46

Beats me, and if nothing else, who has the time.....Grin (or the equipment for that matter Shock!

spidookly · 23/02/2011 15:56

Poppy

I know exactly how you feel. We didn't really decide to conceive DD2 but when I was pregnant second time around I just couldn't get my head around loving another child as much as DD1.

When I imagined having another baby I imagined basically having DD1 all over again. I spoke about having a girl (even though we didn't know) and the girl I was talking about was the one I already had!

But of course when she was born she was her own self and I loved her without reservations.

DH I think took a little longer to come around actually. He was on DD1's "side" for a couple of weeks until he bonded with DD2. But I think that was pretty normal - I was with DD2 all the time feeding her and he was with DD1, who has always been the apple of his eye. Now he just has two apples :)

Sorry, no help. But just wanted you to know you're not alone :)

cep · 23/02/2011 16:08

blue sorry that's what happens when i write quickly before work i had meant that comment for do flies. I meant to say to you that i'm with you i don't tend to tell people until after my 12 week scan, (not quite sure why though as i still went straight to my mum after mmc even though she didn't know i was pg.) 4 weeks to me is way to early to be telling people. Sorry about the bfn.

thanks queen wonder if i could do with that. since coming off the pill dec09 my cycles have been anywhere between 24-28 days then after mmc i had a 22day cycle, never had that one before. I think they're quite expensive though aren't they? I hope you have a fantastic day and honeymoon. Where's the honeymoon?

poppyjen i do i get worried that i won't be able to have the time i do now with ds. That i'll be shortempered with him/them. But in the long run it's really important to me for ds to have a sibling, so he will always have someone there for/with him if we're not. And secondly i saw that website i actually found it quite interesting to show the different types of cm.

Does anyone on here check cm?? and have done for a couple of months? I'm just wondering how long you tend to get blood in it before af starts?

BlueCrane · 23/02/2011 16:44

Hey cep been trying to check CM this month but from what I can remember of previous months AF normally just starts if that makes any sense...there's normally an instant where (TMI alert) there is blood when I wipe when there wasn't before if that makes any sense? Sometimes it's slow from that point but not normally just blood in CM.

I can't remember from the list when AF due for you? Are you still getting BFN? I would just keep testing every other day until bfp or AF starts properly. It can take a while for the hormone levels to increase enough to show + so hang in there...until AF arrives properly it's not over!! Smile

weimy · 23/02/2011 16:45

Hi guys!

Tested yesterday and got a BFN :(. Due on tomorrow.

poppy you won't be halving the love, you will double it if that makes sense :)

cep · 23/02/2011 17:22

blue i'm sure i remember last time having a nice blob in cm then spotting on st within a day or two then proper there she is. i just keep seeming to get blood in cm (not blobs just like streaks sorry tmi) then in the afternoon seems to go a bit. i last tested yesterday bfn (not fmu), but af not due till sat so trying to stay strong till fri or sat morning. (unless she's here by then)

weimy sorry bout the bfn. Sad

BlueCrane · 23/02/2011 17:26

weimy it's not over til AF arrives Smile

mmm...I have that slightly crampy feeling starting down below...now what is my body up to now Confused but MUST stay focused and not start symptom spotting!!!

Part of me isn't sure whether I want a bfp this month anymore as it means I'll be due at the same time as SIL which might just be a bit awkward family wise then and in the future when it comes to birthday parties etc!! Hmm

BlueCrane · 23/02/2011 17:30

cep I clearly don't want to get your hopes up and it could just be your body playing tricks on you but it does sound a bit like a bfp might be on the way and that this is implantation Smile Last month I had to go to the docs with tonsilitis during the 2ww so asked the doc about testing etc and she said that the rate at which the hormone increases varies in people from doubling every 24, 36, 48 hours or sometimes even slower, it also depends on when you ovulated etc so fx it's good news and a bfp shows up soon!!

cep · 23/02/2011 18:05

blue i wouldn't worry about getting my hopes up i keep doing it to myself anyway. Grin

I would love a bfp this month, would be nice to not have to wait too long after my mmc. What dpo are you?? i think as far a your sil is concerned you'll still be looking at a close date of birth. and when they're older it'll be nice for them to play with each other. (not quite sure which way to fx for you now. Grin) i know, fx you get the result you want.

Thinking11 · 23/02/2011 18:06

OK can someone indulge my symptom spotting please. I am ages away from testing date but I have had a really crampy stomach all day, im extreamly tired and i just feel bloated and different.

I know it is probably just my body getting over the stress and strain of 4 nights in a hotel for private donation from a donor for AI but im just hoping.

Ive also been feeling icky. I know its far too early to feel any symptoms at all yet but I need need to get this out. Please somebody slap me and press the fast forward button to 4th March.

Thinking11 · 23/02/2011 18:06

oh TMI but im constipated too

BlueCrane · 23/02/2011 18:09

cep I would definietly be thrilled with a BFP this month, guess I just would've preferred to avoid potential family politics but had no idea they were trying for DC2 so as you say it will be close whether it's this month or in a few! Unfortunately not sure how many DPO I am as not sure if I spotted it right! Am CD 28 of a possible 30 or 35.
