Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

Stop now!
get back here! Grin

Cheeser · 12/01/2011 13:42

Hehe. No, seriously, I will wait until at least Tuesday next week. It's only the first month we've been trying so I can't possibly get too excited yet, especially when I'm not even late. Lord only knows what state I'll be in if it takes more than a few months.

nickelbabysnatcher · 12/01/2011 13:47

well, that's what we're here for! Grin

JosieSmith1 · 12/01/2011 13:49

Cheeser I was like that at my first cycle and some subsequent ones but trust me, after a few BFN's or ERTDs the novelty wears off and the excitement dulls a little Grin Only a little mind, although the crazy symptom spotting wears off

hiddenme · 12/01/2011 13:52

It is so hard not to be pulled into the whole early testing, symptom spotting and just be laid back

JosieSmith1 · 12/01/2011 14:12

I second that, I am terrible for symptom spotting as I'm sure everyone will agreeBlush

frankenfanny · 12/01/2011 14:16

All the best ladies.

panpipe · 12/01/2011 14:23

Cheeser join the first time already itching to test club!

Went out and bought some Clearblue tests at Boots today. Was planning on trying tonight but it says for the conception indicator to be accurate then you should do it with your first wee of the day. Does it make that much difference? It'll be Saturday before I'd test then as I don't think I can face a day of work afterwards whatever the result! >Hops about impatiently<

One of our colleagues on mat leave is bringing in her 3 month old little girl this afternoon so I'm gonna be soooo broody!

nickelbabysnatcher · 12/01/2011 14:41

yes - your hormone is stronger in your first wee because it's more concentrated (you don't drink much during the night)

Hi all viriods!!

Can I join you all in here please as some other forums had me thinking I wasn't taking this whole thing seriously enough!!

I (ahem I mean we) am TTC #1 and this is day one of the cycle that is our first try, just need to get the old ERTD out of the way. so very early days and nothing to report at all but will watch eagerly and no doubt start chipping in soon!!

nickelbabysnatcher · 12/01/2011 14:45

lovely, excited you're just who we need!

We don't take it too seriously (most of the time Hmm )because we would drive ourselves batty every month.

I don't even know what's classed as my first day of my cycle! Grin

OP posts:
excitedLJ · 12/01/2011 14:55

excellent news nickel I think I will fit right in here!

hiddenme · 12/01/2011 15:11

You're not far behind me Excited. I'm day 4 of our first cycle trying.
Welcome :)

excitedLJ · 12/01/2011 15:14

thank you hidden! Smile

and good luck!! Wink

JosieSmith1 · 12/01/2011 15:31

Welcome to all the newbies! Promise we're not as mad as we seem sometimes anyway Grin

takethatlady · 12/01/2011 20:26

I might go over to the grads thread but I'm not leaving here until you tell me to feck off. Hello all you first-time testers. bb has a few old pee sticks lying about I reckon. I'm sure she can lend you a few Grin

Nothing to report here today except I've marked a sum total of 15 essays and cooked a smoked salmon pasta dish. Apart from that I have been googling baby things, pregnancy things, and weighing myself repeatedly as I bought new scales. The new scales are digital but shit as I lost 5lbs between 10am and 4pm today, by sitting on the sofa eating chocolate Hmm

vallinnapod · 12/01/2011 20:34

Awful arvo here :( Went to the loo at 3pm and two small clots came out with a large wipe of red. Clinic told me to pop a Cyclogest, go home and wait for them to get back to me. They did and told me to go to A&E/EPU. Got to hospital at 5-ish to be told EPU closed at 4.... A&E assessed me but said there was no one to scan me until tomorrow Angry

Brown discharge now and of course totally fretting. Will go to clinic tomorrow morning and then EPU if they recommend. SO scared and upset :(

deemented · 12/01/2011 20:35

Erm. Hello.

Can i join in?

I came off the pill just before Christmas and Manshape and i have made a decision not to try... but to sort of wait and see what happens. But we're trying Grin

I had to POAS yesterday as i'm having a small op on my back tomorrow, and they won't do it if i'm pregnant - well, it was negative. Currently waiting for first ERTD since coming of the pill, so we can start SWI.

takethatlady · 12/01/2011 20:53

Welcome deemented. Of course you can join!

Oh goodness vallinna I hope you are okay. What did they do at A&E? I was lucky to get a scan the day I went (I was walking out the door and the doctor came running out and said they'd found a machine at the last minute) but they'd already taken bloods/urine and examined my belly and were sure all was fine.

Can you try another A&E? Have you spoken to your midwife? It's a good sign it's turned to brown blood - if the clots were bad clots it seems likely it would just keep coming rather than go back to brown. Rest up and make sure DH pampers you loads. Have you got an appointment for tomorrow?

Truffkin · 12/01/2011 22:13

Vallinna lighting a viroid candle for you here, hoping all is well and it's a (bloody scary) false alarm. ((((hugs))))

NervousNelly · 12/01/2011 22:17

Bloody hell!! I get busy for a couple of days and I find a new thread with 95 messages, half a dozen newbies, and I've missed a party Hmm.

firstly Vallina - I'll keep everything crossed for you. I can't offer any sensible helpful comments, but TTL did, so I'll steal hers. It's incredibly trite of course, but try to stay calm. Big hugs for you in the meantime

Welcome to all the newbies. Umm let's see - got2dance, cheeser, reality, deemented excited panpipes hiddenme and anyone else I've forgotten :) Really lovely to have you all here. But I don't want the Grads to leave either! I've been here since thread 2, so seen as I can't come across to the ante-natals with you, I'll just need to insist you stay here instead Grin.

Didn't realise it was so late! Must go to bed but will catch up properly tomorrow with luck. Been a bit busy at work (how inconvenient!)

Luv you all Grin.

BrassicaBabe · 12/01/2011 22:30

On stoopid phone so will have to be brief.

Thoughts and prayers for you vallinna. Could it be a side effect of the egg collection, swollen ovaries etc? (((hugs)))

panpipe · 12/01/2011 23:05

Thinking of you vallinna - try to get some rest tonight (easier said than done I guess) and hope all goes well tomorrow.

PracticallyImperfectInEveryWay · 13/01/2011 05:35

Hi All, just wondering if I can join you please, although I am TTC #2?

We said we'd just SWI and see what happened (although I was ovulating over Christmas and accosted DH at every opportunity Grin) but ERTD came today, for the third time, and burst my bubble .

However, new cycle, clean slate, and fingers crossed!

Cheeser · 13/01/2011 07:59

Thinking of you too, Vallinna. x
