Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

A bit behind the times (or actually ahead in Oz), so much happens when I'm sleeping!

Not sure if you've moved way on by now Foghorn, but I started vomiting with DD from 5 weeks and it didn't end, but it did settle down to once a day from about week 28.

Aquavit, reassuring to read that it happened for you both times when JSing every second day. That's the approach that we're taking but I really had to talk DH into it last night. Fair enough the poor lad was tired but I had pantsnot so he didn't get to protest too much Grin.

Shock Dee I don't know what to say! But you are a true champion of... well, you know :).

Sorry to hear about the ERTDs and associated pains, fingers crossed that this next month will see this thread innundated with BFP's!

deemented · 26/01/2011 08:43

G'morning ladies.

Well i POAS this morning, and as expected it was BFN. I'm a little dissapointed, but i hadn't really expected anything different. I think i might wait another fortnight and retest then, dependant on if ERTD turns up in the meantime. That'll mean me testing roundabout the 9th Feb - anyone else testing around then?

Went out with the girls last night, and the first thing one of my close friends did was announce that she was pregnant. Am delighted for her, but i have to admit that the little green man was sat on my shoulder poking his tounge out...

kateepie2 · 26/01/2011 08:50

deemented if ERTD does not swallow me up in the meantime (i.e. if my cycle has gone screwy), I should be testing around 9/10th. When is yours due to appear?

deemented · 26/01/2011 08:58

I haven't got a clue. I'm waiting for my body to return back to normal since coming of the pill just before Christmas.

crowette · 26/01/2011 08:59

Morning dee! Sorry about the BFN ... when is AF due?

Still got sore boobies here, red hot sensation and keep having to remove OH's hands off them! I haven't even told him I'm late yet - don't want to freak him out as he's still only just come back to terms with TTC and is still a bit jittery! So I want to be absolutely sure.

No sign of AF either - no cramps, no spotting ... just the occasional heavy and tight feeling. With the soreness of my boobs for as long as this, I'd have expected AF to turn up by now if it was that.

I was planning on testing on Saturday morning if AF hasn't turned up, but we have our daughters staying for the weekend, and if it's BFN I don't want a cloud of doom over the weekend, and if it's a BFP I'd be excited and hyper and OH and I would be talking in whispers about it, as I wouldn't want to tell our girls until I've had my 12 week scan and seen everything is ok ... so best I carry on as normal while they're here and test Monday morning, after the school run.

Now I've got it all planned, you watch AF turn up Grin

kateepie2 · 26/01/2011 09:05

dee I came off the pill in Nov, and so far seems to have been 'normal', but who knows. Fingers crossed I am now in the 2ww... or the 17 day wait if FF is correct (which I don't think it can be). Erg.

crow well done on will power... here's hoping for a BFP come Monday Smile

Sorry for BFN Dee Sad but it?s not over till it?s over! I?m testing about the 6th providing ERTD doesn?t arrive before then. Sorry for green man too

Nothing to report here although I am so into the whole TTC thing this month I know that if I ov?d last wed it could be today up till Saturday when the egg implants Blush I?m going to be very disappointed again if ERTD arrives! Here?s to the 2ww Grin

aquavit · 26/01/2011 10:01

PracticallyImperfect yes, tell him to pull himself together and enjoy it while it lasts!

sorry about your bfn dee and your little green man - it's so difficult isn't it when your feelings of being pleased for someone are a little tempered with regret that you don't have similar news. But you are obviously very (ahem) committed so hopefully it will happen soon!

I have confused my situation because I've just applied for my dream job, a position that someone had to retire out of in order for it to become available. If I get it it will start in May and I must admit that it would be ideal to have more than six months in the job before having to take maternity leave. Soooo...on the grounds of sod's law, I am fully expecting to get upduffed very soon! (And if not, then at least there is a silver lining, or hopefully will be if I get it.)

BamBam21 · 26/01/2011 10:03

Morning ladies.

Sorry about BFN Dee. I would have had the green man too. Josie is right though, it's not over til the red witch sings!

Crow - I don't know how you can wait til Monday! I am so excited on your behalf! Grin

Well, I am more nervous than Nelly today because of my interview. It's at 2 o'clock, so I will have to get the train about 1ish.

DP and I managed another JS sesh last night. This will sound stupid, but I have a real "feeling" now that maybe we have done it! I know it's ridiculous, and I can't explain it. Probably just wind! Grin It will be a long 2ww. The best thing is that, when I collected DS from school yesterday, his teacher asked if I was expecting, as DS had said we were having a baby! Bless him, he is desperate for a baby sister. Maybe it's a good omen! Hmm Smile

crowette · 26/01/2011 10:13

bambam it's going to be hard! I keep thinking I'll go buy a test just to get it over and done with! Good job I have none in the flat, or I'd have tested by now Wink

I'm actually finding it easier as the days go by ... in a way I'm getting more convinced it'd be BFP and that I don't really need that confirmation so much Confused but then my pessimistic side kicks and says I will get AF so wait until I know she's really late! My head can't work out what it's thinking!

I just know I'll be more secure with the BFP (if I get one) that later I leave it.

Truffkin · 26/01/2011 10:16

Aqua I know how you feel on the job front, we want to relocate back to the Midlands and had hoped that we would be able to plan this around the arrival of a new clan member Grin but as this is taking far longer than originally anticipated, I have now started looking for a new job. We're in a bit of a dilemma as if I do accept a new job I would want to be there for at least 12 months before starting any mat leave. Plus the maternity pay with my current employer is very generous so we are now saving more to cover the eventuality that I might need to take mat leave on statutory pay - it's getting complicated! Although at this rate we'll have squirelled away a small fortune before any baby puts in an appearance!

BamBam hope that feeling turns into reality, keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Nice work on the swotting Josie although it's very non-viroid behaviour, I love knowing more about my cycle as at least I have something to work to rather than just random 'let's see', which worked for me in the first 6 months but then just wasn't enough! I like to understand how things work, I'm the teacher's pet Grin

nickelbabysnatcher · 26/01/2011 10:32

dee - you're testing too early.
Your body will be a bit screwy after coming off the pill, but you go back to business as normal quite quickly - I have heard of women ovulating twice in a month after coming off, so....

can we claim your friend as a JSer Vicarious BFP? Grin

crow - that sounds exciting. do your POAS on Saturday- then you won't be wondering al weekend and you can get on and enjoy it.

aquavit · 26/01/2011 10:35

yes it's tricky trying to plan around something that might or might not happen isn't it - I have just tried to be been more relaxed recently and got on with everything, it'll all work out somehow I'm sure!

BamBam hope that your feeling about the pregnancy is right, and that your interview goes well this afternoon! V lovely that your ds is enthusiastic about a baby.

Truffkin · 26/01/2011 10:56

Sorry BamBam I meant to offer my good luck vibes for this afternoon as well, do the viroids proud!

BamBam21 · 26/01/2011 11:16

Thank you ladies! I have just been whizzing around the flat trying to find my birth certificate to take with me to the interview. Found it now. I am just going to have a coffee and relax now I think. We really need this job. Confused

DS is so into us having a baby. He keeps asking DP when he is going to buy a baby seed to plant in mummy's tummy! Wink

Where'd everyone go? Wink

Thinking positive thoughts for bam at 2pm!

JosieSmith1 · 26/01/2011 14:26

I know it's late but hope the interview is going well Bam

I'm here Katee but it's been manic at work, can't get on here as often as I normally do. How inconsiderate of people to ask me to do my work when I'm trying to catch up on MN Grin

P.S. I haven't felt any implantation yet Grin

kateepie2 · 26/01/2011 14:27

josie here's hoping kiddo... tomorrow to Sunday (or beyond) for me Grin

nickelbabysnatcher · 26/01/2011 15:05

BamBam you should be out now - hope it went well

I've been working wingeing at people for undercutting me all day - been making posters for an Author event we've got next saturday.

Hi everyone. The interview went well, but I won't know until Friday or Monday. She said I might be over-qualified. Angry I just want a part-time job to make some money, for goodness sake.

I would so love your job nickel. I would be in my element in a bookshop!

Have to go and fetch DS from DM's house now.

Smile
nickelbabysnatcher · 26/01/2011 16:58

I hate that "over-qualified" crap! Angry

I love my job, but it doesn't make any money (hopefully one day.....) Grin

OP posts:
JosieSmith1 · 26/01/2011 17:21

That's a stupid saying 'over-qualified'. If you were over-qualified you would know and you've still applied for the job so who are they to say no because of that! Fingers crossed anyway.

Glad you like your job Nickel, I'm actually enjoying mine at the moment Shock. I think it's because I've realised I'm at that stage where I've been here so long there's not a lot I haven't experienced so people from other offices are ringing me for advice. It's quite nice really Grin

excitedLJ · 26/01/2011 17:28

I have bee lingering but not posted for ages as I am a newbie and this is my first cycle TTC but - I am ovulating!!....I felt like screaming this at work today but figured I could hold til now!

dee I will be doing my first ever POAS on the 9th so I am right there with you!

I'm really quite excited....which I know I have to tone down a bit but still....I'm ovulating!! and coz it is first time DH is up for good times with minimal coercing! Grin

Gosh I need to calm down/get out more/find a hobby.....Blush

everything crossed for bam
