hey PV it turns out I have Leiden Factor V, so need to have aspirin and heparin/clexane injections daily once pg confirmed to try to prevent sticky blood causing another MC.

I'm attempting to make a potato gratin tonight. Such a risky dish. It should be total creamy/carby yumminess but so often just turns into wierdly runny slightly undercooked disappointment. I'm going for the full lard option tonight and have par-cooked the potatoes so hopefully will have something closer to the yum side of the spectrum.

PV I know, it's shit. I'll be back on the phone tomorrow believe me. I just hate doing this stuff. I bought some baby aspirin over the counter so at least I can start that and the injections weren't going to start til after a sac had been seen but that should be this week coming up, so I want to know what my plan should be. Made more complicated by teh fact that it's a tricky week at work to be trying ot take time off.

Today, after a few phone calls and messages, I received a call back from my consultant's secretary saying she's put me on his list for this wednesday. Huzzah! double huzzah as it's my usual day off, so only needed to scramble to check whether DH could look after DS for the morning rather than drag him into the hospital waiting room. Triple huzzah, because he wrote back within 5 mins saying all sorted.

So...hurdle no.2 jumped....several hundred more to go but can stop being angry at the world now at least.

How's everyone else doing? In bb world I had a letter from hospital today saying that the internal womb scan I had done with dildocam shows signs of adenomyosis. What the f**k is that I ask myself! Am off to research Internet and no doubt scare myself daft with all sorts of horror stories.

Am ok, we're ttc-ing (round 4). Had all the rmc tests and now waiting for clotting and karyotyping test results. DH had semen analysis and they told him it was low volume and there were abnormal forms present. But told not to worry just do another test in a few weeks and we'll take it from there. Am now worried that his abnormal sperm keeps fertilising my eggs...but I suppose one of the good ones will get through eventually, no?

News here: AF on it's way and dd on Mon so slight melt down as I really wanted to be diffed before then but hey ho! Good news though, We had our offer accepted and I can now reveal it is in the Jewel of the High Weald... Tenterden! It is a Restaurant/wine bar very upmarket and glamourous! Ohhhhh I can't wait! Next best thing to a BFP! Any of you live that way or know it... I could invite you to opening night We're not celebrating just yet... lot of legal stuff to get done but fingers crossed!

Ooooo, and I downloaded an app to help me sleep, decided to listen to it about 4am the other morning.
Put it on quite low and closed my eyes listening to the nice man with the nice soft voice talk about deep breathing and imagining beaches,waves and peace.
Nearly drifting off when DP woke up, groaning about some creepy voice interrupting his sleep!

Hey pv I didn't read it as being aimed me - no worries!
So I do now have the drugs, appt on weds turned into long and arduous trial but did eventually come home clutching two weeks worth - next step is an appt with clinic to show me how to inject self. I suspect they tried to call me to set appt as there's a blocked number missed call showing on phone. Then another scan to see whether things developing ok.
This is so nerve-wracking. Am currently just over 5 wks
and symptoms are so unsteady, get some nausea wavelets some days but mostly not, tired sometimes but mostly not. Hey ho, am doing what inneed to and the rest is luck .

My scan was fine, feel ok today. Had the option to move my c section date back a week to 10 feb so it's only 2 days before my due date and have decided to do it - will give baby more time to cook (although they reckon he's already 7 lbs!)

Mid way through 2ww here, am CD20 today. Don't feel remotely pregnant, am symptomless! TBH just having a decent length cycle would be a result, last month was 27 days after 2 22 day cycles. Am mindful I have a due date coming up at the end of Feb, and if I'm not pg that would be a bit :(. But determined not to get all consumed by things. Famous last words .
