The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

getawiggleon · 19/02/2011 12:29

Izzy Really sorry she arrived Sad First day is always the hardest after all the optimism of 2ww then I start to feel relieved in a way that all the mentalling is over and i know where I stand

mummyabroad · 19/02/2011 13:26

Morning, DH he wants to take me on a surprise visit to the beach Grin , so I have got about 15 mins to pack - Shock am still going to spend 2 of them here though Wink

Izz Arsecrackers indeed. I guess all the warning in the world doesnt take the edge of it, very sorry mate, hope CD1 doesnt treat you too roughly.

Mouse hello! Glad you found us! Our stats are over here if you want to join in.

I didnt test yesterday but the way (7DPO and non FMU seemed even too far fetched for me), but spent the whole day thinking about it, so in order not to be so preoccupied today I tested and of course its BFN, but at least I can get on with my day nowGrin

Emoo · 19/02/2011 13:34

Popping by to give a big squeeze to all, but particularly (((( Izzy, Loola and MummyA ))))
Loola - have you ever had progesterone levels done at your GP midway through luteal phase? - if you are having anovulatory cycles, would be worth finding out sooner rather than later so that you can take some positive action?

Velvetcu · 19/02/2011 13:59

Hi mouse good to have you here :)

Izz I'm so sorry she got you.

How is the training going yrmotb? I've just been riding my bike at centre Parcs and I'm knackered!

Where is it snowing? Been a bit drizzly here but sun has just come out.

wiggle lol at the aerobics class I've only been to a couple and I hated them! Got chucked out of pilates once for laughing too much!

Hope everyone else is good!

Youremindmeofthebabe · 19/02/2011 17:09

Snowing in Leeds. And pennines. And Scotland way. But it's basically gone cos it was all slushy anyway. Kind of pleasant but it means we're stuck in the house...

velvet the training is going slowly. Do you remember I did the great north run in September? Well I have been slightly injured and very lazy since then, to my Blush. how are you doing, has it sunk in yet? Smile

Waves to all. Just chilling with my best pal, the men have gone on their XmasHmm do and won't be back for forever.

AandRMum · 19/02/2011 18:53

Ooo I've been chucked out of yoga for getting the giggles velvet!!! Absolutely hate anything where I have to coordinate my movements with music - my favourite part of yoga is where you sleep meditate at the end.

Enjoy the beach MummyA - love your daily testing ritual!!

mousebacon · 19/02/2011 19:13

Gnomeo and Juliet. On a Saturday afternoon. Good grief Grin

Still wttc but will add myself as soon as I'm back on the waggon - thanks mummy

Anyone else watching the red nose dance show?

Velvetcu · 19/02/2011 19:36

yrmotb I feel like I've got 2 people in my head - 1 who is pretending the bfp didn't happen so when af turns up it will be normal and 1 who is freaking out about everything.

How was the film mouse? I can't decide if I want to see it or not

aandr how are you doing?

mousebacon · 19/02/2011 20:04

It was quite funny velvet my ds is 3 and it was a little bit long for him but it's a typical kids film with a fair few jokes thrown in for the adults Grin

Hope everything is ok with you. I know exactly how you feel about splitting on two - I didn't even tell dh for about 3 weeks after my last bfp. I really hope this one sticks for you. xx

AandRMum · 19/02/2011 20:15

Bricking it velvet!! I think I have an entire town in my head - wearing White knickers today - made me think of you mummyA oh and nix knickers checking whilst on a walk!!

batteryhen · 19/02/2011 20:24

Hello everyone It is a sad state of affairs that I am on my own on a saturday night :(

However, I went to the pub for lunch with 2 of my best friends today which was lovely. Right, now I have put that discalimer in I will have a little rant.

Why oh why do people think it is helpful to say to you ' you know you can try too hard , just relax and you will get pregnant'. I swear, if anyone else says that to me I will go mad. My friend is only being kind I know but she is one of the practical people who only sees things in black and white. When I told her about me having a hysteroscopy - she pulled a face and said 'don't you think thats a bit invasive' REALLY??? - actually I think it is a walk in the park and think it might be fun too Angry

I did reply (very restrained) 'I can relax as much as I like but I think you will find that that alone won't get me pregnant - I am actually going to have sex and at the right time of the month too'

Right, ranty pants off. I feel a bit better now xx

Hope everyone is having a lovely wild saturday night :)

nickstermum · 19/02/2011 20:59

Ar do you get my country walk knicker checking now??? White loo paper, White pants, natural light in the toilet will all help :) :)

AandRMum · 19/02/2011 21:30

Grin Nix glad I'm not the only one walking the threads tonight ...

batteryhen WTF I can only assume she is childless or sailed through TTC. am in a fighting mood. 'just relax' bah humbug - introduce her to a fanjocam and see how 'relaxed' she is!!!

mummyabroad · 20/02/2011 02:28

back again already! no room at the inn for us, so we did a day trip and came back home instead! DS is at granny's so it still feels like a holiday Grin

battery the "just relax" speech makes my blood boil Angry along with "you've got plenty of time/you have left it too late" (I am 35 so everyone has a different opinion as to whether this is good or bad) and the very worst of all "this wont hurt, its just a bit uncomfortable" AAAARRGGGGGHH, the next person to say that gets my large ringbinder of medical notes across the bridge of their nose. oooh just realised I am full of rage - is that a symptom?

big waves to everyone on this lovely busy thread. xxxx

AandRMum · 20/02/2011 07:55

Definitely a symptom MummyA

Velvetcu · 20/02/2011 08:58

Yup mummya definately a symptom! I have been a proper rage monster for about a week!

CaribouMoo · 20/02/2011 09:57

Ocht Izzy, sorry to hear that RTD has rocked up on you. Hope you're keeping positive pal, let's hope this month is the one for you as its been a long old wait. Maybe your womb is doing a good job and is waiting for a cracking wee fertilisied egg.

Battery the things folk say astound me. I would never dream about giving out sagely advice to others in a situation I know nothing about. My mother spouted the 'trying to hard' line and recently my father told me I have been very negative over the last year. When I pointed out I had a hard year and lost 2 babies he said 'you're not the first person to have a MC' and of my paranoia being pg after MC he said I could be harming my baby with my negative thoughts. I don't understand why people think they can be an authority on something they know nothing about. Its probably well intentioned in most cases but doesn't stop you wanting to punch them in the face! What's the news with your DH getting home for good?

Mouse, hello! Hope you're doing alright pal. We went to the cinema yesterday to see Tangled, but it was sold out and saw Gnomeo and Juliet instead. WORST cinematic experience of my life! I hated it, the voice acting was dreadful even though it had some great names in it. I thought it was really flat and boring. Even DD didn't seem impressed and I saw some folk get up a leave!

mousebacon · 20/02/2011 11:16

Oh dear Caribou ! I spent most of the film trying to work out who the voices belonged to! Think I'd rather have seen tangled Smile

I'm doing ok thanks. I'm now 24 days post erpc and I think the bleeding has slowed to spotting so hopefully will ov soon. Just want to get this WTF cycle out of the way so I can ttc again Grin

How's things with you?

Battery I HATE the 'it'll happen when you relax' speech. Are they suggesting worry made my baby's heartbeat stop?! It's currently the 'don't worry, you'll get there' speech I'm getting though. How the hell do they know?!

and breathe...

Phew happy Sunday to all. Cooking lunch for the masses today...

loola2shus · 20/02/2011 11:29

Morning all... well I have had a fiddle with my chart and its put the cross hairs back Confused I had put in watery cm on cd 16&17 but remembered this morning that I was unsure at the time if it was just increased creamy cm IYSWIM...so swapped it for creamy and they're back! (incidently it shows OV on the same day too)

Would appreciate any insight as it has got me baffled this month! PMT seems to have disappeared, and I haven't got pre af sore boobs (however my face is still a bit of a dot to dot!)

caribou I had the 'you aren't the only one to have a mc' line off my dad too Angry Yeah thats true but it doesn't make me feel any better!

Grin at the a&r velvet & mummya hit squad!

Pleased to see that you survived the aerobics wiggle I have zero coordination!

emoo I had progesterone done on cd24 this month and due for another tomorrow cd 29 so should give me a better idea!

yrm We too had snow all day yesterday (Newcastle) but has disappeared now!

Ok I am off to try to wrap up a drum for my DN's birthday! If you don't see me in the next few hours come and find me- I'll be wrapped up in a ball of sticky tape and wrapping paper Grin

loola2shus · 20/02/2011 11:30

< waves to mouse- sorry xp Smile >

mummyabroad · 20/02/2011 13:17

loola well, if that chart interpretation is accurate you have 18 temps above the coverline and are therefore pregnant! Have you POAS?

Youremindmeofthebabe · 20/02/2011 13:56

Chart's looking ace MASmile

loola2shus · 20/02/2011 14:53

OMG ma I second what YRM says! your chart is gorgeous!

I haven't POAS as I am too scared! As it happens I have just went to loo and have very slightly pink streaked ewcm (although did BD last night so may be that and not ewcm IYSWIM) So af might be on the way- this isn't the way she normally arrives though!

I have entered ewcm & spotting into FF and line is now broken!

BTW thanks whoever signed up from my page- I have just been given 5 free days! Smile

batteryhen · 20/02/2011 17:27

Thank you all for the empathy with he 'unsubtle' friend AandR I will let you know if I need the bat! And also yes she is childless - and has never ttc so why give advice on something she knows nothing about??!

caribou We hope he might find out this week if he is coming home in June for good. I really hope he is as then we can start making plans to move etc etc, so far we are in limbo!

I am going to have a stalk at your chart too mummya :)

mouse - big wave to you lady, glad the physical side of your ordeal is coming to an end xx

loola - can't persuade you to POAS then ?? :)

Well nothing much to report here, temps still up today - should have a drop tomorrow if AF is on the way - chart here if anyone fancies a look - I like fool myself it is tri phasic however, have had a few cramps today so AF is probably on her way. I have been feeling really sick too but often that is a sign of AF too. Oh the wonder of the female body!!

Hope everyone is ok - work tomorrow - boo hiss xx
