Morning all :)

So good to know that I am being stalked by lots of people!

mrsa I am Envy of your massage - I really could do with a good pamper :)
nix Hope you dont feel to sleepy today and you are feeling a lot better than yesterday x
terrys early pregnancy is so stressful it's a wonder any of us get through it at all!

I am not going to test till Friday - DP is home now and he keeps me from obsessively randomly testing. Left to my own devices I would test now if I could - I got my last BFP on 10 DPO, but I don't want to be disapointed just yet :(

Also we are going out on Friday so I need to know if I can have a drink or 2!

Still feeling a bit like I am coming down with the lurgy but I hope thats not going to stop anything

Big wave to everyone xxx

spilttheteaagain · 21/12/2010 11:13

Morning all,

Had a horrible fright this morning. The wretched cat brought in another bird, this time she was alive. I freaked and shouted "out out out!" at the cat but stupid creature ignored me and deposited bird on the stairs. I shut the cat away and had a look - poor creature was bleeding, missing feathers but still breathing. I thought she would just die and so I left her so she could do so in peace and quiet. 10 mins later an almighty flapping and the bloody bird is flying around the stairs, hitting the wall, blood spatters everywhere. I had to try and get past with keys to open the door (whilst trembling and gibbering a bit). Got the door open and the sodding bird flew upstairs. More blood smears. So up I go to try and chase it down the stairs with a towel. It flew at me. Cue me having hysterics in the bathroom and thinking I am stuck there for the day. Then a bang. Bird has fallen down the stairs. Managed to then chase it out the door and phoned DH sobbing. There is blood and feathers everywhere Sad

On the less grim side I have been to see the MW and had my first bloods done (including thyroid check as mine went a bit mad last time and needs monitoring now). I've got the pack of notes now to complete but they are totally different to last time.

There's a section to complete entitled "Miscarriages"... I don't want to put Bobbie there. There's also the "Previous Births" section to complete, and this includes "name of child", "wellbeing" and "Where now" ?! WTF. Cemetery. I shall have to do the best I can I think and note the important bits like induced labour, vaginal delivery, normal third stage, intact perineum etc.

battery still looking good!

LadyGoneGaga · 21/12/2010 13:27

Am excited for you Battery - have my fingers crossed this is your month!

Spilt I'm really surpised you're having to fill in your own notes. I had my booking in yesterday and they spent a full hour going through my medical history and my my previous birth details and also losses etc. Seems really strange they are letting you do it yourself - what do they do with people who may not be as articulate and well informed as you?

Sorry the cat brought a bird in. I hate it when mine do that. Worst thing was when mine brought a pigeon in without my knowledge. I had broken up with my ex but he hadn't yet moved out so we had seperate rooms. She released the pigeon into HIS bedroom. Where it proceeded to panic and crap all over the curtains, all down the walls, all over his bedding... He accused me of putting it there. WTF?! Cat got extra tuna that night though Xmas Grin

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 21/12/2010 13:49

Pmsl at the bird stories! Sorry you had a fright spilt! My worst cat issue was a huge live rat in the kitchen, then they dragged a dead squirrel in, just monkeys!! We seem to escape live birds tho, my little cat brings them in for big cat to feast on! Yum :(

Hope everyone is good xx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 21/12/2010 13:50

Agree with ladyg spilt re your notes, they should have completed them for you x

spilttheteaagain · 21/12/2010 14:07

Well they ask you to do as much as you can on the notes and then they go through the rest at booking in. At least by doing it myself I could write what I wanted and not get upset by someone else's way of recording what happened, so it's good in some ways.

I am Shock at your cat and the pigeon - how did that fit through the cat flap?! But Grin at the well located pooing!

And a live rat Shock

They are vile creatures aren't they? One has now left a pile of puked up feathers in the kitchen. Because of the toxo worries through this is all DH's job. Result!

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 21/12/2010 14:35

They are vile! mine tend to leave me shredded up entrails on the carpet... normally surrounded by droppings! That was last weeks anyway...same here with the toxo!

batteryturkey · 21/12/2010 14:37

Poor split - when I did my booking in notes last time I had to fill in what I could myself - the MW did the rest.

My cat luckily is too bone idol to bring in live creatures. In the 9 years I have had her she has brought me a worm. That is all.

My friends old cat once brought in a live baby rabbit. My friend didn't know for ages as it hid under a cabinet in the lounge. It wasn't until she noticed her lovely cheese plant had been nibbled down to resemble a twig in a pot that she thought something odd was going on! Grin

My last day at work - must try and look busy :)

GetDownYouWillFall · 21/12/2010 14:42

Sorry to hear about all these naughty disgusting cats! GET A DOG! Grin Our dog is very chilled, although she is a greyhound so I suspect given half the chance she would catch and kill too! (we don't let her off the lead)

I am down in the dumps Sad CD 21 just had another negative OPK. I got a positive OPK on CD21 last cycle (ov'd on CD23) and that was my WTF cycle so I expected it to be long. This should be a "back to normal" cycle, shouldn't it??! What is my body doing? This one is going to be even longer than my WTF cycle Sad

Got some stretchy CM this morning, but it was opaque not clear. And my cervix is just pain old confusing - this morning high and soft(ish) but checked just now again and it's low and firm Confused so got no idea what to record on my chart now Confused I'm getting so sick of waiting.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 21/12/2010 15:41

Oh Getdown I feel your pain. I veer from being totally pissed off and can't understand what is going off, to being delighted as things change within a day or so.
Have to say opks are doing my head in a bit, as i think this cycle's I caught the tail end and got a +ve but now obviously ff thinks I ov afterwards but i suspect it was before.
Stay hopeful - things could change overnight and whilst everyone classes ov past about cd 17 as 'late' if you look at the charts, it seems lots of us have late ov. I even found pregnancy charts with ov of 30 days and more.

We used to have 3 cats but lost 2 in the past few years (one rta and one to old age). We now have Mr Basil, who is 13 and has one eye (he was randomly shot by some lovely person in 2008 but amazingly only lost an eye) and he still manages to bring presents, live and dead. When there were 3 cats, we did have live birds but now it's just a variety of voles from the back field - including just entrails and guts minus heads etc.
Oh and once we discovered a family of frogs living under our fridge Xmas Grin

Last day in work today - had a meeting this morning then had back massage on way home (bliss) and now working from my home office, so radio up full blast.

Naughty parents we are - DD going to nursery as normal tomorrow and we're cleaning the house, getting tesco deliverey and then vegging on the couch till we have to collect her Xmas Shock. but then we've got loads planned - on Thursday we're picking up our xmas chicken (hate turkey and there is an award winning estate near us which, as we speak, will be hand-plucking our bird) and then we're off swimming as DD adores it and is fearless - jumps in with just armbands on and will NOT be helped!

Sorry Xmas Blush gone on waaaay too much - wishing the day away!

LadyGoneGaga · 21/12/2010 15:48

The weird thing is that my cat is tiny. She weighs 5 pounds, looks like a kitten. And yet has caught a pigeon TWICE in her life and manhandled it through the cat flap. The other cat is huge and has only every brought in the odd tiny mouse. Little cat though used to bring me a couple of "presents" every day. Until I got pregnant with DS and started to neglect her (poor puss) - she stopped bothering with the pressies and is now a very rare event. Result!

GetDownYouWillFall · 21/12/2010 16:11

Thanks mrsA that is reassuring. I'm like you in that I veer from being fed up and disillusioned one day, to excited and "back in the game" the next. I just find it so frustrating, to start getting fertility signs, only for them to disappear again! Arrrghh!

It's true that late ov can still be successful. DD was conceived on CD32 !! Which would have made a 45ish day cycle!

I was really hoping my cycles were settling down though into a shorter pattern, but perhaps the MC has screwed things up again in terms of cycle lengths.... Sad

I sometimes get the feeling by thinking about all this stuff too much, I am somehow creating some kind of negative feedback loop to my hormones and they stop me from ov! Ridiculous I know! I need to find a way of stop thinking about it so much, but it's so hard!!

I know how you feel re, the OPKs. I gave up for a few days after my EWCM dried up and went back to creamy and resolved to stop using them. But as they were in the drawer, the little blighters were just too tempting so I started again!

Your day tomorrow sounds lovely! I had a day like that on monday - DD went to nursery and I was at home! (felt a bit guilty but got loads done - wrapped all the presents and got to the shops too). Your christmas chicken sounds fab!

newyearsday · 21/12/2010 16:38

Just popping in to say hello!

Glad your scan went well lady.

I had the 20wk scan yesterday, everything looked healthy (phew) and we found out it's a boy! Can't stop grinning...

Have a lovely Christmas holiday everyone xx

spilttheteaagain · 21/12/2010 16:44

Fantastic newyearsday! Grin

Congratulations and lovely to see you.

LadyGoneGaga · 21/12/2010 19:43

Thanks. And great news for you, Newyearsday. Enjoy your little baby boy!

Have you got a name sorted yet?

I'm happy as my little man is back from his Dad's after his early Christmas weekend - can relax about the heavy snow forecast for tonight now! Xmas Grin

Iwish · 21/12/2010 20:01

I have been laughing at all your cat stories . So funny!! I don't have any stories about pets apart from our old dog loved cider...

How are you all today? Hope you havnt been stuck in the snow. Went to work today and spent most of the drive there screaming haha!

Well temps have gone up a bit for the last couple of days so maybe if it goes up again tomorrow will show I OV'd maybe Sunday? Trying to get used to this temping! chart

GetDownYouWillFall · 21/12/2010 20:58

Well done for making it into work Iwish. I am too scared to drive at the moment! Thankfully have finished work for Christmas now, so no need to drive anywhere!

Good to see your temps have gone up. FF prob needs a couple more readings to confirm ov. Looks from your CM though that you have ov'd already - hope so for you Smile

DH has a friend round for takeaway and watching a DVD so doesn't look like I will get much attention in the way of baby-making tonight. Angry Ah well.

MrsP81 · 21/12/2010 21:00

Loving all the cat stories! Our cat is a terror too and brings in mice, birds and in the summer time small lizards which she chops the tails off. Would love a dog but DH is allergic to them.

getdown I hope you ov soon. Its sooooo frustrating.

iwish I'm quite new to temping too but I think Sunday looks like ov day, it matches up with CM. I'm sure a more knowledgable lady will be along soon though.

Iwish · 21/12/2010 21:25

Thanks getdown I was pretty proud of myself for attempting the drive :). And I'm not surprised you're too scared to drive, it's so dangerous.
Doesn't it make you mad when you have your plans for SWI and they just happen to invite a friend round - so annoying. Maybe you may be able to persuade him later.
I have to tell you this as it sprang to mind when you said about DH having friend round, and don't laugh. When we had only been ttc 2 months we were trying to SWI every other day and 1 particular time I decided I couldn't wait any longer but we had a guy in tiling the bathroom so I made DP joint me for a quickie in the kitchen! Blush. It was so exciting but Imagine if we had been caught!!

Well I'll see what FF says over the next day or so then I will be asking you all to stalk my chart if anything good happens lol.

Hi mrsp thanks for taking a look, FX Sunday was the day. Where are you up to in your cycle? Sorry my memory is rubbish.

GetDownYouWillFall · 21/12/2010 21:45

Shock at Iwish's naughty kitchen sex!!

Grin

Don't worry I will stalk you!

MrsP81 · 21/12/2010 22:15

I'm on CD11 iwish and nothing exciting is happening at all. I have unusually low temperatures but given how cold it is that's probably not that surprising!

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 22/12/2010 08:03

iwish I also think Sunday. Fx you'll get the crosshairs soon.

Well my chart is still looking very spiky but temps still above the coverline and up today (am only 6dpo though).

Haven't had chance to catch up much from yesterday - it was my due date from the mc so I had a quiet day - but you did make me smile with your cat stories - gross! We've only ever had a dog and tbh he was scared of most small mammals and birds Xmas Smile

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 22/12/2010 09:09

Morning. Well I have my cross hairs but I'm not convinced. FF says I ov cd27 but I suspect it was earlier and not sure why it's not going for cd26.

Any thoughts? It doesn't matter too much I guess but it does mean I'm only 3dpo rather than 5 or 6. It's now predicting af will arrive on new yrs eve.

And I have to say that, yes, i will be drinking over xmas.

Hope everyone else is OK. DD gone to nursery in the snow (feel a bit guilty as she's got a cold) and I'm now off work - tackling kitchen atm!

How are you all? Not heard from mouse - all OK?
Iwish I miss kitchen table sex Xmas Grin. With DD it's now very much bedroom only after she's in bed.

Chart here

Iwish · 22/12/2010 10:00

Hehe thanks getdown Xmas Grin

So when do you usually OV mrsp? Lots of SWIing over Xmas for you Xmas Smile

izzy looks like FF decided on Sunday woohoo I'm not surprised you had a quiet day , time to think x

Hi mrsa. At least you will be able to get stuff done while DD is at nursery and also squeeze in a bit of s rest! And yeh kitchen sex is fab, so exciting Xmas Grin

LadyGoneGaga · 22/12/2010 10:30

I battled through the snow to get DS to nursery this morning. Then just as was leaving there is a notice on door to say they have a case of Slapped Cheek disease. I swooped back in, picked him up and brought him back home. Not worth the risk IMO especially as it is bucketing down with snow. So will keep him off til after Christmas now. Am I being over-protective of my little bean or sensible I wonder?

Hope you're doing ok, Izzy. I can imagine that's a really hard day.

Waves to everyone else, Getdown, Iwish, Nix, Spilt, Terrys, MrsA, MrsP, Battery - and anyone else I've forgotten. Hope everyone is well.
