Ah Knackered,

there isnt much I can say to help, hopefully things will work okay for you.

I love my mum and realise that she is just trying to help, but she had me and my brother in the seventies when they didnt have all these tests etc, so she just had to figure out that she was pregnant after she missed three periods!!!

KnackeredCow · 03/01/2011 16:05

Twosjackrussells Same here. I was born in the 70's too and my mum told me after two missed periods and throwing up morning noon and night, she realised she was probably pregnant. It must be so weird not to have the option of testing and knowing.

Thanks for kind words too Smile Feel better now that we're finally being seen at FC. At least the ball is rolling in terms of thorough investigations and possible treatment, if necessary.

No worries, thats what this site is for :)

That and secretly slagging off those that preggers quickly and/or by accident Grin, although I am sort of pleased for them too.

yuno I've got the same thing - had a MC in June, quite a few people at work knew about it and I swear they all stare at my stomach all the time as they are expecting me to tell them I'm pg any minute now. If only. I'm just bloody bloated people, ok!!!!

Also v. sad tonight as ex colleague posted pics of her 9 week scan on FB - FFS just made me think that's what my scan should have looked like but instead wasn't meant to be :( I would be bricking it that I was tempting fate if I was her, but apparently that thought hasn't crossed her mind. Don't get me wrong, I don't wish it on her, just irritates me that people just assume that MC is something that happens to other people.....

It doesn't cross your mind though does it? I had a private early scan at 8 weeks. I went on to miscarry 2 weeks later. First pregnancy. In the meantime we had told our good friends and our parents as I had seen a baby on the scan and seen a heartbeat. Naivety and optimism and innocence of first pregnancy - miscarriage is a word you have heard but of course it won't happen to you...

Anyway I think people should stop posting scan pics on facebook. Facebook should say no to pictures of internal organs please!

Hello Kat!!! I know, thanks for talking sense into me-I know I can't really go around being annoyed with people for being optimistic and hopeful, why shouldn't they be? Just envious it didn't work out for me I guess (was my first pregnancy too-sucky eh??)
