I think I ovulated on CD19. Due to DH work commitments we only managed SWI once but that was on CD19. I know a BFP is still possible but we did only do it once.

It's too early to test but I have all my hopes of a BFP running through my head and symptom spotting. My body has been cruel in the past though and got my hopes up only for AF to appear.

However, this evening I am feeling quite nauseous and have had feelings like ligament pulling in my abdomen. Also slightly tender boobs.

I'm 8dpo and just want the next week to be over so I know!!!

Feel better for getting that out!

Jenny - absolutely may well be too early. I agree with katieepie , test again at the weekend.

I'm only 2dpo but already having to stop myself analysing every little twinge. There's no hope for me!

Join the club essence! I was unaccountably crying twice yesterday over things that 10-30 mins later I thought, was was all that about? Then this morning I couldn't eat my egg on toast, which I cooked because I really fancied egg on toast. Erg.

Jennyrosity · 27/01/2011 15:29

Thanks everyone. I'm not very hopeful though - I used the CB Digi test, which is supposed to something like 83% accurate 2 days before your period.

I'm just so bitterly disappointed. We've been SWI since Nov 2009, and nothing, so decided 2011 would be our year for doing it "properly". I've given up alcohol and caffeine, and we've started using OPKs so we can ramp our efforts at the right time, so because of all that I'd kind of convinced myself that this time it would happen for us

To make matters worse, I'm surrounded by pregnant women - not only do half my friends seem to be knocked, but most of my colleagues too. And because I work in HR, it's me that has to sort out all their maternity stuff, so it's not like I can even avoid them.

In an hour's time I have to go and present leaving gifts to a gloriously pregnant colleague who's about to go on maternity leave - and I have to do it without throwing myself on the floor and screaming: "Why? Why not meeeeeeee??? When is it going to be my turn??!"

Jennyrosity · 27/01/2011 15:31

Forgot to add that since I did the test this morning all the "pregnancy" symptoms I was having have completely disappeared - so on top of everything else, I'm apparently delusional as well!

happymummytobe · 27/01/2011 15:59

Hello all,
My very first post on Mumsnet! No idea what some of the abbreviations are, but amazing to find people in the same position as me. I have another 4 days till I can do a test and I'm so hoping to be pregnant. Have all the symptoms, but am also prone to being over-dramatic and am worried it's all in my head!

monkeybubbles · 27/01/2011 20:19

good to know that i'm not the only one who is worried that they may be inventing symptoms!

so what are everyone's thoughts on the early tests? is it crazy to take it 6 days early just cuz i'm impatient? should i just be good and wait 6 days or give in?

ModelMom · 27/01/2011 20:33

monkeybubbles its hard to wait but at the same time seeing that BFN is a major knock of confidence so the longer you wait the better but its sooooo annoying!

happymummytobe hi im new aswell but you will learn in fact there is a link at the top that tells you what most of the abbreviations are...what symptoms are you having?

jennyrosity dont worry babe soon it will be your turn verrrrrrrrrryyyy soon!

xxx

essenceofSES · 27/01/2011 22:20

Hi!

Happymummytobe - congrats on your first post on MN!! As ModelMom says, most of the abbreviations are explained if you click on the acronyms link towards the front of the page.

Monkeybubbles - the logical part of me says don't waste your money on the early tests as it won't change anything in the long run and aren't nearly as accurate. The impatient part of me though just can't wait and would want to test as early as poss!

Jennyrosity - It's amazing how everyone is led to believe it is sooooo easy to get pg when in fact, many people do take at least 6-12 months. Let's hope we're all on the verge of BFPs though!

ModelMom · 27/01/2011 22:42

hi essenceofSES how are your symptoms coming along xxxx

happymummytobe · 28/01/2011 13:44

Hello!
I've been feeling sick on and off for 10 days, have sore breasts and am exhausted. 10 days to wait to find out (or 4 if do the early tests - are they really not worth it?)
It's a weird limbo land right now! Not sure what the best thing to do is apart from sleep as much as I can (ha!) and eat well.
Hope everyone here has happy news very soon!

essenceofSES · 29/01/2011 21:27

Hello all!

Well I'm 4dpo and really trying hard not to start imagining symptoms yet but it's hard! Work is really busy at the moment so that is a distraction but I have been feeling cramping twinges regularly. This could just be normal for me but I've not noticed it before - who knows!

How is everyone else?

OP posts:
ModelMom · 29/01/2011 21:41

i had the same twingy stuff but i am still getting BFN

AF is due tuesday so im now not sure if the crampy sensation is her on her way or something else

:(

the wait is killing me lol xxxx

essenceofSES · 29/01/2011 21:48

It's just the not knowing!!!

My DH even said to me the other day "Surely they must have figured out a way to find out if you're pg sooner than this!"

OP posts:
Jennyrosity · 30/01/2011 08:12

AF arrived this morning. Was due yesterday, so had started to feel vaguely hopeful, but nope, guess what waiting for me when I woke up.

Next month, maybe.

monkeybubbles · 30/01/2011 09:57

Jennyrosity - sorry to hear that AF arrived, and a day late, that's just cruel

i feel like the symptoms are adding up everyday, but so worried that i'm just building myself up for a disappointment on wednesday when AF is due to arrive

symptoms so far:

  • tenderness in boobs
  • spots (crazy amounts all over my chin)
  • moody (that could just be me though)
  • having to pee more
  • bloated, crampy feeling

could i really be making all of this up?

ModelMom · 30/01/2011 13:03

Jennyrosity - i think AF is gonna do the same thing to me on tuesday aswell, nevermind babe next month

monkey i know exactly what you mean ive had the following
clears throat

*tenderness and enlarged boobs
*peeing more often
*increase in CM
*pulling twingy cramps
*emotions over drive crying at everything
*peeing more
*tiredness
*moodswings
*leg cramp
*v.realistic dreams
*heart burn
*weight gain
*backache
*nausea
*bloating
*food aversion

I have a feeling AF is coming to reveal her ugly face though and il be heartbroken as all tests are BFN

surely all this cant be made up - alot of them ive never experienced before ever in life nevermind with AF

Fingers Crossed x x x

LubblyJubbly · 31/01/2011 18:55

modelmom - LOL, AF due on Thursday, TTC #1, first month of trying....Thanks to MN I have had the following symptoms:

*tenderness and enlarged boobs (but mine are massive and I've never really prodded them that much in the past)
*peeing more often (but it's soooo cold and if I'm honest I was peeing loads pre TTC)
*pulling twingy cramps (totally - never had that before...that I know of...but then I never really gave it much thought...but they are there and I've been dead uncomfortable for the last 10 days)
*emotions over drive crying at everything (check! but I'm a nightmare normally anyway)
*funny smelling wee (but I'm giving up smoking so your nose gets all 'sensitive' anyway)
*tiredness (yep - but think I might just be using this as an excuse to nap, which I'd like to do anyway)
*moodswings....of course....(as ever!)
*v.realistic dreams )yes but see above re giving up smoking...another side effect)
*heart burn (yes, but got it before TTC)
*backache (ditto above)
*nausea - slightly but then I could be imagining things...

essenceofSES · 31/01/2011 21:16

LubblyJubbly and ModelMom - love your lists of symptoms!

I'm also getting twinges/cramps. Could just be that I'm looking out for symptoms so my awareness of them is that bit more!

JennyRosity - sorry for AF and also for it being so cruel in being a day late :(

Hope everyone else is ok?

OP posts:
happymummytobe · 31/01/2011 23:48

LOVE the lists of symptoms! Brilliant :)
Am going to take a test tomorrow morning - 6 days before my period is due.
Bit nervous, bit strange. Really, really want a BFP!

kateepie2 · 01/02/2011 10:03

happymummy let us know the result?

happymummytobe · 01/02/2011 11:23

Negative! Boo! I think I'm going to assume it's a no and wait and see if my period arrives next week. I can see how I could end up doing test after test otherwise.

Hope everyone else is well and one of us has good news soon Wink

kateepie2 · 01/02/2011 12:09

Boo! Good luck for the next few days then - 6 days pretty much where I am atm - well, will be tomorrow. Not convinced fr hpts are all they are cracked up to be anyway!

xx

ModelMom · 01/02/2011 14:58
