Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

Mummy x-posts. Sounds nasty, get well soon Xmas Smile xx

loola2shu · 13/12/2010 14:03

Hi Ladies,

I'm sooo sleepy today Could really do with a snooze! The rest of the family have a really nasty cold/virus thingy so think I may be coming down with it too, I already have the cough so just awaiting the rest!

I started temping this cycle and have had some funny temps... don't know if this is how you link to my chart... but if it is do you think this might be just increased temp due to possibly coming down with cold?

Mummy Poor you! nothing worse than S&D, hope you feel better soon, especially with all the visitors you are getting!

Hiding Sorry AF got you!

Wombat 3 Pg announcements?! Yack! is all I can say! My sil is due next week, and had a friends PG announcement on FB, so I feel your pain!

Baubles FX for it being a implantaion spot!

Knitter FX for you too!

Orange FX those cramps were a beanie snuggling in! I'm with you on the BBT light up screen!

Tunnocks I've got a babymad BBT, but it does beep very quietly, it was £4.90 on Amazon.

loola2shu · 13/12/2010 14:05

loola2shu · 13/12/2010 14:20

Oooh another question... will FF mark any poss ovu, ation on my chart even though I have not got VIP access?

youremindmeofthebaubles · 13/12/2010 14:43

How do I invite tunnocks?

youremindmeofthebaubles · 13/12/2010 14:44

PS loola I couldn't see your chart then.

youremindmeofthebaubles · 13/12/2010 14:48

Ovulation Chart for tunnocks if it works...

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 13/12/2010 15:02

baubles post your chart, then she clicks on "sign up" from there

to post from FF, go to the panel on the left and choose sharing, then home page setup (make sure you scroll down and select the relevant charts) then copy the URL at the top

loola2shu · 13/12/2010 15:03

what about this one?

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 13/12/2010 19:10

lulu i cant read your link. odd because it looks like you posted the right URL??

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 13/12/2010 19:13

lulu sorry didnt see your earlier question, yes FF will tell you about ov. I think the main difference between basic and VIP is that with VIP everything is colour coded, also you get to ask questions to "experts" about your chart.

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 13/12/2010 20:19

my brain has obviously been affected by this bug too... just realised I missed out half of teacake's questions.

re: scan for Ashermans. Yes you are right a normal ultrasound scan can not detect scar tissue on the cervix or uterus. 2 helpful investigations are
an HSG - dye inserted in the uterus and xrays pictures taken
or an hSG - saline solution inserted into the uterus and 4D scan performed

but the HSG will not always show up mild scarring and the hSG results really need to be looked at by someone who knows about AS to get a good diagnosis. the vast majority of gynecologist are very poorly informed about AS.

If you want to cut to the chase, go and see the doctor who just treated me in London, Dr Adrain Lower,020 7 486 2440 he is one of only two Ashermans specialists in the UK and he is rated as in the top rank worldwide. He takes BUPA patients, and it is much easier to get BUPA to pay out for lack of periods than it is for light periods/infertility (which many AS patients have) so you might want to lie. If you are paying privately it costs £205 for a consultation (which you can do by telephone or skype if you want) and £250 for a 4D scan which will give you a diagnosis. Dr Lower is the only AS specialist who can diagnose AS via a scan.

The only thing is he might want to rule out hormonal issues first and send you for bloods tests (i already had mine done elsewhere by the time I saw him) and these can get quite pricey, so if you can get these done on the NHS then that is better. At this stage it is just as likely that the problem is hormonal as it is AS, so the best place to start is with some bloods tests and charting both of which can tell you if you are having normal cycles.

The great thing about Dr Lower is that everything is very quick, you can get an appointment almost immediately and if need be treatment scheduled straight away.

I do hope you dont have AS, but the good news is that if you do and it is treated promptly by someone who knows what they are doing then the prognosis is very good. I know how scary and worrying it all starts to get when AF doesnt show up properly. If you want more information and support, I would encourage you to enroll on the yahoo AS site which you can find through www.ashermans.org. The ladies on there have tons and tons of information.

xxxxxx

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 13/12/2010 20:52

Sorry orange slap me with a wet fish for saying this, but if it was afternoon pee and not first morning pee it might not have been strong enough anyway?

dAncerandRudolfsMum · 13/12/2010 21:14

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 13/12/2010 21:52

thanks girls, I am perking up a bit now. Gawd knows how the poor little orphans got through this, they are all under 5! It was nice seeing their faces when they got presents though. I will take some alcohol hand gel with me next I go...

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 14/12/2010 00:23

Hello posting from bed on phone so apols for brevity and typos. hard day today, still ill and woke to an elevated temp, recorded it along with marking illness on my chart but then spent theorning commute being completely mad and persuading myself that maybe the four days of bright red bleeding I've just had weren't actually AF and that temp spike wasn't actually related to the painful chesty cough ... Oh no, must definitely be actually pg. Quite mad. At least i did not allow myself to poas, would have had to check myself into a secure facility if so. Then, after fairly alcoholic work lunch, went christmas shopping. Bought two Christmas stockings. Why 2, have only 1 DS. Well because obviously when the 2nd arrives I'll want a matching stocking and they might not be available next year. Get on train home, think about showing dh my purchases and start bawling while walking home as 1. Am clearly bonkers and this proves it 2. Am convinced I have just 'jinxed' us for a whole 'nother year, 3. See 1 above.
Poor dh. Walked in, tears streaming. He thought I'd left a nag of presents on the train. Oh dear, tomorrow will be better. It has to be.

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 14/12/2010 00:24

Not a nag, a bag. Stupid phone.
