Hi All,

Clockspotter WOW congrats on your BFP....its funny how your migraines have been an indication cos my migraines were unvelievably intense just before I got my BFP. You'll be pleased to hear that they rapidly subsided and I haven't had one since about 6/7 weeks PG (touch wood!)

Hi Boba hope you are well. I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow. Nearly half way through. I Can't believe it!!!! I've still not settled into the whole idea yet, I just need to get the 20 weeks scan over and done with and hopefully I'll start to relax. We've been making the most of the Asda/Sainsbury's/Tesco baby events, so have stocked up on things like Sleepsuits, Nappies, Bottles and a Microwave Steraliser. Pushchair shopping is next on the agenda - its worse than buying a car! TMI My boobs leaked the other night whilst I was asleep Shock was mortified when I woke up on a pool. Apparently its normal Confused even at this stage! So watch out for that LOL!

Keziah Glad the injection went well, sorry your poorly though! Hope you feel better soon. xx

KC Well Done on getting a Job!! Thats fab news and so glad you are feeling more positive. I hope that this run of luck stays with you hun IYKWIM.

Hi to the newbies on the Thread. Sending you all lots of luck.

kc implantation bleeding? Smile

I got my FSH results today - 8.3 which is the lower end of good, but still good! Now I just need to work out why I'm not preg after 17 tries!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 15/02/2011 19:40

Knackeredcow are you gonna be our next BFP - from the sound of your symptoms......

Brew and Biscuit for you!

Loup23 · 15/02/2011 20:30

knackered c everything crossed for you that a bfp is on the horizon. I'm in awful 2ww which I hate, but everything crossed otherwise hope witch shows her face so we can go again!!

tillydream · 15/02/2011 21:00

Hi All,

Keziah I have everything crossed for you. I've had 2 IVF's and both were successful in achieving a pregnancy. My clinic were great and I felt very cared for. Sending big hugs as its an emotional time and you can never have too many hugs!!

Fr00tbat zebedee SLB I have sympathy! I'm in the same position and just waiting for AF so I can start again! After 3 months of text book 28 days, it appears I'm back to no peak, sustained highs, gave up on day 28 and a long cycle. I'm putting it down to stress this time - got ISA in at school and been all over the place in terms of emotions! I'm sort of hoping that my posting might hurry it up cos trying not to symptom spot is not one of my strengths!!

Amuminwaiting Welcome, yes, after mine things were out of wack for quite a while. Sending hugs. Best piece of 'advice', if it doesn't feel right pls don't be 'fobbed off' at GPs. Ask for a referral to gynae ward as my pain was caused by tiny internal tear that needed antibiotics etc and suture.

Love and luck to all

Tilly xx

KnackeredCow · 15/02/2011 21:42

Thank you ladies for the kind comments.

Eek, implantation bleeding... Don't even want to think about that possibility. 16 cycles of AF being bang on time... you sort of begin to lose hope. Trying to ignore it. DH told me it's stress. Hmm Really don't want to get my hopes up. It's so hard not to symptom spot. I am trying to convince myself that AF is on its early way so that I don't get my hopes up.

SBC I definitely need a Brew and a Biscuit Your comment made me Grin

Storm Really pleased that things are going well for you

Tilly Are you going for a third cycle of IVF currently? I wish you all the best.

level Glad to hear that you are over one of the early hurdles. What other testing has been prescribed? This TTC business can be soul destroying Sad

aMuminwaiting · 16/02/2011 08:21

Hi again. Day 26 now and no ovulation. I'm losing faith in my monitor. It worked perfectly first time around. Ovulated day 15 and got my second pregnancy.
I did get an infection which the hospital took several weeks to tell me about. I took antibiotics for that. Could that have effected my cycles?
Good luck to everyone still waiting on a BFP. Hope I can be at that stage soon.

Loup23 · 16/02/2011 09:14

Morning all, is anyone able to help....

Had my peak days sunday and monday (days 17 and 18) followed by high on day 19 but had light spotting on morning of 19 and today. Too early for AF or implantation and have had this spotting every cycle after peak days. I'm worried this will affect me getting pregnant (implantation) even if conception occurred....does anyone have experience of this? Thanks - good luck to all x

aMuminwaiting · 16/02/2011 10:36

I don't know if it's the same thing but I've had spotting ever since my miscarriages. My GP said its down to a small cervical erosion which isn't harmful and won't effect getting pregnant or the pregnancy itself but means that the skin just inside the vagina is prone to breaking and bleeding. It happens to most women after sex but for me its on and off all of the time. I know you can get a tiny bit of blood when you have a shift in hormones too and when the egg has been released you can sometimes get a tiny bit of blood from the egg bursting out and that's not harmful either.

Loup23 · 16/02/2011 11:10

thanks muminwaiting having spent the entire morning googling this I'm still non the wiser so I will just try and sit out the 2ww without stressing........Hope your CBFM sorts itself out - have you tried some OPKs to see if they detect a surge?

aMuminwaiting · 16/02/2011 12:54

I used tons of different OPKs before I got the CBFM and they never gave me a proper surge. I had lines that got darker over a few days but never darker than the test line and the monitor seemed to work like a dream when I got it. I think my body is all over the place now because of what its been through and with some luck (please give me some luck) my cycles will even out soon.
I have so many people telling me "just relax, enjoy being with each other, stop thinking about making a baby" and 'there's no rush, you'll get there". These people have never had a miscarriage and don't understand the desperate need to be pregnant again.
I hope we all get BFPs very soon.

Keziahhopes · 16/02/2011 13:31

Congrats on the joy you wanted KC - wow, enjoy your last few days off work and on holiday!

Keziahhopes · 16/02/2011 14:02

oops, job not joy - though hopefully you are joyful!!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 16/02/2011 15:29

Good day all.

There are a few of us on the wait (with my late ov not 2w for me!) The cramps have subsided now but have been a bit over-emotional so suspect that AF is just around the corner - due tomorrow

If AF does appear I think I'm finally gonna succumb to Wine this weekend!

Loup23 · 16/02/2011 16:54

SBC hope AF stays away... Fx. If she doesn't you should have a Wine and enjoy it!

level · 16/02/2011 18:15

Hi kc

I've not been back to the docs for the results - got them over the phone. They hadn't bothered to ring me and I'd had my progesterone tested in December! I only know that was OK because I spied it on the screen at my day 3 test.

It's really hard because I'm away most weekends and find it hard to take time off work for an appointment.

I know you're a bit further down the path... what test have you had since the basic bloods and have they given you an ideal when they look at intervention?

Cheers

Keziahhopes · 16/02/2011 19:03

Hi level - I am a bit further along the line, also. Before they refer to gynaecology/fertility intervention the Gp ordered:
day 3 and day 21 blood tests
full blood count blood test
prolactin blood test
thyroid blood test (as impaired thyroid or too high a prolactin level can be the reason behind no bfp's)
also Gp ordered a Semen Analysis of male
Gp sent me for a transvaginal scan to check health of uterus etc
Up to date smear and STI tests, especially chlamydia.

Have you had all of the above? Bloods can all be done at once, Semen Analysis is done at hospital (dh or dp to go alone, so no problem with work for you!), smear and STI testing all in one go with the practice nurse. I said I didn't need STI testing, nurse and gp said if you don't have it now, you will have to have it before you have the HSG (to see if tubes blocked etc) and before anyone will give you treatment - so I had all tests and was clear!!

Hope that helps a bit x

tillydream · 16/02/2011 19:52

Hi All,

I'm not sure that this is the right place to post and I apologise in advance especially it it causes any upset.

I've had a rubbish day and am just sitting here in tears thinking what the hell is it all about? I DONT mean that I am having dark thoughts or am in any danger to myslef just a really really bad day and all I ''want' is to be pg (like the rest I know, and I'm sorry this sounds so so selfish) and why is it not happening if its unexplained???

Work is major stress, horrible inspection at mo and I think with this level of stress it'll never happen anyway.

We can't afford a third round of IVF and I just wonder what you ladies do when it gets like this?

Hugs to all and a thousand apologies if I've upset anyone. I know we are all desperate for the smae thing, just a bad and emotional day.

Tilly xx

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 16/02/2011 20:36

Hi Tilly if you have a look back through the posts we have all been there.

I started a stress diary around Christmas when I was in that place, helped me put things in perspective. If you can find something else to do to reduce stress - go for it. I go walking, gives me time to think and the exercise helps.

Some are using acupuncture and I have just started reflexology - both good at targetting stress!

Take care x

level · 16/02/2011 21:10

Thanks kc - I've not had the full blood count blood test or prolactin blood test (or not to my knowledge). Had a smear but don't know what they checked for. I'll def have no STI as DP and I have been together 16 years and never slept with anyone else (quite unusual these days!)
It looks like the next on the list for me are a scan and HSG.

tilly my DP has banned me from watching one born every minute after if made me cry. How do so many people get pregnant accidentally?!

Keziahhopes · 16/02/2011 22:40

Hi level - I told them I definitely had no STI's for the same reason, but gp would not refer me for the HSG until I had the swab, sigh! I would ask the gp for the prolactin and fbc and thyroid blood tests (all done at same time) as the issues they raise might be the problem, not a blocked tube etc. Has your dp had a Semen Analysis? My poor dh had to have 3, as that was where the problem lay!

Tilly definitely the right place - we have all had low points here and had support! I am just starting my one(and only, but thankful for one) IVF cycle... it is expensive. If you are under 35 you can egg share at my clinic and get a free cycle apart from the initial appointment costs I think. I am too old for that though. Thinking of you.x

MiniH · 17/02/2011 08:03

Hi, I have been lurking for a little while and although I haven't posted yet I do find reading this really helps put everything into perspective and everyone is so supportive, so I'm hoping you won't mind me joining your board. This is my first cbfm cycle and I am on cd23 and still on low. As my longest cycle has been 39 days I'm thinking it could just be too early, but based on that I may well run out of testing days before it detects anything. Has anyone else had this issue and did you use normal OPKs at the end to try and see the surge? I know the monitor should ask me to start on day 9 next month which shoukd help, but It just seems that for ladies with longer cycles there's a good chance you'll miss it even then. Does the monitor start asking even later than day 9?

aMuminwaiting · 17/02/2011 09:56

tillydream I know exactly what you mean. I never realised how all encompassing trying for a baby would be. My husband and I were tentatively trying with our first and the first time I bought a pregnancy test it was a BFP. Roll on three years and I've got two miscarriages and what feels like billions of negative OPKs and HCG tests behind me. And I too get so annoyed that EVERYONE around me is pregnant or going in to have their babies after 'not trying'. It feels like a punch in the face to those of us who want it more than anything in the world. I know all these feelings and I think the reason we all have felt these things means you can offload without worrying.
I'm on CD27 and still just the two bars on my monitor. I have some mild cramping today so I think it's going to be a month with no egg at all.

boba82 · 17/02/2011 15:00

Keziah sorry to hear you've been unwell. Hope you're feeling better now? Glad you're putting yourself first too!

KC Congrats on the job Grin Things are starting to go your way. I don't think I had any bleeding after HSG so can't really offer any advice on that front.

Storm WOW! I can't believ you're that far along already. When is your 20 week scan? I have my 12 week scan on Wed, so so nervous for all to be ok.

Level I echo everything keziah said. It actually stops you getting delayed if you need to be seen at a FC as you'll have had all the tests they suggest first. Good to get simple things done @ GP too & it gets the ball rolling so to speak.

Well, CD28 and no AF yet, got a migraine coming on - never had one before AF before, so still feeling hopeful... got the tingly tum that suggests I will have a delightful visit from auntie preventing me from sleeping tonight Sad

Saw the endocrinologist today - they called me for a cancellation so I could go before my FC appt. Today I find out they have decided I am full PCOS - feel quite let down by NHS. Consultant tells me I should have had more done when they first mentioned it to me 12 years ago! All very confusing - when I had scans done over past two years, through gynae, they said there weren't any and that it had gone!

It explains the lack of peaks on the CBFM though. Good news is that I am being put on some drugs to even my prolactin out which FX will enable a natural conception before they start IUI.

Sorry for long post - it's good to rant - saves me imploding!
