keziah I used to be a POAS addict but gave up after too many BFNs Sad I had a CBD twin pack in drawer and waited until AF 1 day late. Went & bought more just to prove to myself really after consultant was a bit depressing!

Congratulations Boba, it's lovely to hear such good newsSmile

Lychees · 10/01/2011 11:24

Grrrr ... had my scan and one follicle has only grown a little and the other one is still not quite there yet. So tomorrow night, I have to inject myself to trigger ovulation for IUI on Thursday. Unless I get my peak tomorrow morning, in which case, I need to phone my clinic for a change of plan. I'm finding this bit quite stressful.

And what has happened to my peak? I've normally had it by now! Has anyone ever heard of Clomid making your cycle longer?

Sorry about the "selfish" post. Hope everyone is well.

Missyraines · 10/01/2011 12:39

Awwwww well done boba that gives us all hope.

Sorry I've not been attending school, I'm trying to not obsess over it - easier said than done. Now Christmas and new year is out of the way and we are back from a week snowboarding, I'm sending hubby off to the doctors. I've updated my stats so I'm back in school.

Will keep you all posted.

Hi Ladies,

Good News - we're all clear for Downs Syndrome! Can't quite believe it, I'd convinced myself of bad news. I've not stopped crying since midday. I'm so happy! Thanks for your support through this girls.

Lychees good luck with the IUI.

Missy nice to see you are back, hope you enjoyed your holiday.

xx

Boba 07/01/11 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, updated Stats - am afraid I only did the top column, as I keep getting them wrong!

MissRaines - so glad you had a nice time away relaxing, and sending dh to dr's sounds like a good plan of action.

Storm - so pleased for you. What week are you at now? Smile

Lychees - all the best for your IUI, remember Boba got a bfp with her first treatment, all is possible!!

As for me, am having a month off ttc, as the stress is not helping my relationship with myself or dh. So will keep my stats here, but purposely missing my fertile time and trying to focus on keeping going, ready for next month ttc again! If that makes sense.

PinkCustard · 10/01/2011 14:12

Ah that's fantastic news Storm am really pleased for you.

And congrats Boba well done you! Hope it's a lucky omen for the whole thread and 2011 Smile

Think I ov-ed yesterday, started charting aswell last month (obessed?!) and both CBFM and chart would suggest I did, and today I had a bit of pink spotting which I'm taking as an Ov sign. Might have one last session with DH tonight then hang up my knickers for the 2ww Grin

Lyschees how typical that Peak doesn't arrive just when you most need it too, hope you're not too stressed.

Had a pregnancy announcement from a RL TTC buddy today, mixed feelings but I'm doing my best to be happy for her.

x

boba82 · 10/01/2011 16:29

Oh brilliant news storm, so so pleased for you. Now you can enjoy your pregnancy x

Lychees don't think it can make it longer but maybe just hasn't affected you at all? Good luck with the IUI though, FX for you hun. How you feeling about injecting yourself?

Missy crap being back to reality isn't it? Glad you're getting ball rolling.

Keziah I think that sounds quite sensible, FX for next month.

Good luck Pink Wink

Lychees · 10/01/2011 16:58

Welcome back, Missy.

Storm that's fantastic news Grin Grin Grin.

Pink, it's difficult not to be a bit Envy. I'm finding it harder and harder. My colleague is also ttc now [she wasn't pg in Dec after all] but she has told me how totally devastated she was when AF arrived that time ... in cycle 2 Hmm. I don't think I can be the person she leans on right now.

Boba, perhaps the delay is because I'd been pretty poorly for a week and a half after Xmas [?]. I hope it's not a permanent change Confused. As for injecting myself, needles don't bother me much but I'm pretty nervous about doing it. It has to be done though so I'm just going to not over-think it and just go for it.

PinkCustard · 10/01/2011 17:14

Just looked back at my last post and it looks really selfish of me - ofcourse I'm happy for her really, but it's hard not to think 'why isn't it my turn?' especially when I've been trying for just over a year and she got lucky on her 2nd month...but I know that's not how it works.

Lychees · 10/01/2011 17:44

Pink, I didn't take your post that way at all. You're right ... everyone deserves their bit of good luck. It doesn't stop you from thinking "when is that going to be me?", though. But another pg announcement doesn't take away your chance. There is not a finite number of people that can be pregnant at one time. It could be your turn soon.

It's the same with my colleague. I'd be happy for her if she was pregnant but I'd find it v. hard sitting next to her every day.

PinkCustard · 10/01/2011 20:09

Thanks Lychees, let's hope it is our turn very soon Smile

Not having anymore nookie tonight as DH off for second SA test tomorrow - we last did it on Saturday eve so am hoping that's long enough for him to produce a decent sample...doc told him not to 'produce' for 2-4 days before the test, so should be ok.

Ilovekittyelise · 10/01/2011 20:40

so pleased storm xxx

essenceofSES · 10/01/2011 21:03

storm - that's great news :) Hope the rest of your pregnancy is now smooth and worry free!

Pink - I know how you feel. It seems like everywhere I turn at the moment, someone else is pg. I've even got to the stage where I'm mentally preparing myself for someone else in our NCT group to be pg next instead of me. Typing that, it seems so pathetic!

Lychees - I've noticed that when I've been ill, ov is delayed. Fingers crossed, the timings all fall into place for you!

Keziah - month off seems like a good plan. Long-term ttc, does put a strain on the strongest of relationships and it's important we remember the importance of our relationships too in the middle of the ttc rollercoaster!

IloveKitty - how's things? Hope you're doing ok and not worrying too much!

Boba - I'm still Grin for you!

StormBird · 10/01/2011 21:14

Thanks ladies,

Keziah I am currently 13+5 weeks.

Pink and Lychees I have every confidence that your time will come, I'm sorry you are finding other peoples PG announcements hard (people like me probably don't help) but I remember that feeling and I can sympathise. You'll get there.....and when you do we'll all be jumping for joy for you.Smile Keep your chins up xxx

Essence I picked Italian because I have two Italian friends and I always feel ashamed that I can't speak any of the language Blush

Fr00tbat Sorry to see that AF got you

Keziah I agree that a month off can be good sometimes. I had an enforced month off in November and it wasn't as devastating when AF arrived as months when I know we've SWI in my fertile period

Lychees Good luck for Thursday, unless you have peaked already???

Storm Fantabulous news Grin. So pleased you got the all clear.

MissyRaines Welcome back! Good to see you again.

Pink *Hanging up my knickers for the 2ww^ [grin} Grin Grin

Kitty I really hope everything is still going well for you. I am thinking of you.

Boba Are you still peeing on sticks morning, noon and night? Grin It must be such an amazing feeling to see the test line appear. Hopefully the rest of us will follow suit this year. FX

Lychees · 11/01/2011 13:08

Thanks for the good luck wishes and PMA, ladies. Still haven't had my peak so I will have to give myself the trigger injection tonight [scary] for IUI on Thursday afternoon.

Storm pg announcements here don't bother me ... I know what difficult/emotional journeys people have had here. In RL, it almost seems as though other people get pg just thinking about it, it might not be the case at all [people don;t discuss these things in RL, its like admitting failure] but that's my perception and that's what gets me down.

Good luck to everyone on the 2ww.

zebedeethezebra · 11/01/2011 13:22

Storm that's brilliant news. Pregnancy is a very special time, so I hope you enjoy it and all goes well for you! Smile

Lychees I know where you're coming from. Everyone on here has had problems getting pg so its fantastic to hear about pregnancies on this thread.

But, I know a couple of people who so easily seem to have easy pregnancies that they announced theirs just after taking their test (I would never dare do that), they were THAT confident. I'm pleased for them, but it still makes me jealous.

I'm just waiting for all the announcements this year of second pregnancies from all my friends from NCT other baby groups that I've been going to for the past year. I have to be happy for them and really I am. But I'm really sad that, at my age, my time seems to be up. I sometimes wish that I had tried to enjoy my pregnancy more, rather than spend most of moaning about all the aches and pains and how knackered I was. Only now do I realise what a precious time it was that I'll probably never have again.

Did anyone watch One Born Every Minute last night? Was that woman screaming for real do you think?

AnytimeNOW · 11/01/2011 13:48

That's great news Storm so pleased for you Smile.

Congrats Boba Smile.

arabella36 · 11/01/2011 14:08

Hello everyone, can I ask if there is any point SWI the day after your 2 peak days? We did SWI on those 2 days but now on day 18 it says 'high fertility'. I suppose I thought the day after the 2 peak days would be after ovulation had occurred and therefore wouldn't be a good day to try?

What do you think?
TIASmile

StormBird · 11/01/2011 15:00

I hear you Lychess , I really do. XXX

KnackeredCow · 11/01/2011 15:09

Hi arabella Yes, it's worth a go.

See here

It states: Overall, CPFM peak fertility was detected in 135 of the 149 ovulatory cycles. In these 135 cycles, ovulation never occurred before the CPFM peak fertility. In 91.1% of the cycles ovulation occurred during the 2 days of CPFM peak fertility, and in 97.0% of the cycles during the 2 days of peak fertility plus the 1 following day of high fertility (Table I). In most cycles ovulation was confirmed by ultrasonography on the second day of peak fertility (76.3%).

boba82 · 11/01/2011 15:30

Lychees I'm sure the injection will be ok, even if it is sore just remember it'll be worth it. Good luck for Thurs too incase I don't get a chance tomorrow. x

KC I have stopped for time being. Will prob do my last one tomorrow or Thurs before the scan on Fri. I just can't believe it, keep checking my knickers everytime I go to loo I'm worried all the time but hopefully scan'll put my mind at rest. How you doing?

zebedee I watched it, if that was real she should be embarrassed! Even the midwifes were trying not to laugh! Smile

arabella I would for a couple of days or every other day just to cover yourself so to speak Wink
