Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

I don't feel like going out at all nurse! At least my cold has got me out of snubbing congratulating the pregnant wife of DH's friend, who will be all glowy and bumpy at the Christmas markets tomorrow. How have people got their hcg levels, this is all very high tech! I feel like I've just been left to get on with things, and muddle through

wonnaywombat · 24/11/2010 17:23

sparkly - just saw your v funny post about pouncing on DH and then bicycle wheeling Grin - pouncing I know and understand but am v curious about the wheeling - can you enlighten me?!

nurse| - it was a bit of a struggle to go to a party last Fri night but actually had a v good time (resulting in first hangover for about 10 weeks which was hard to take!)

Beesok · 24/11/2010 18:22

Hi everyone! I think I missed an interesting discussion - wheeling in the air ha ha ha ha
Well, I have to confess I did the whole bum and legs up too but I am so going to wheel this time!!!!!!!
Not sure if it really helps or not but I have a tilted uterus so I heard it helps ;)

Tomorrow will be one week post op! It's weird, feels like it was a long time ago....I have stopped bleeding/spotting do you guys think it's OK to have sex? My hubby is going on a business trip for 10 days and I am suddenly really horny Blush

Re going out, we have been out a few times - low key stuff and mostly with people who don't know which was actually better! and thankfully no one pregnant in my circle of friends ;)

I have been going to the gym though and am trying to motivate myself to go for a quick run later tonight ;)

Star82 · 24/11/2010 19:34

Just a quick one to say i love love love reversy percies :).
I have a tilted uterus too so maybe in a few weeks there will be a mass air cycling of legs going off!!!
Sorry Sparkly, haha, if i can't share my yellow-tinged discharge with you guys than who can i??? Hehe!! :o

MrsB33 · 24/11/2010 21:15

seems like ive also missed an interesting thread... Dam!!
Well ladies AF arrived swiftly on time this month, 9 weeks after my mmc, thats now my 2nd cycle and it all seems to be back to normal!! Whoop whoop, only bit of good luck i seem to have been given by mother nature over the last few months!!
So im boarding that ttc plane as of next weekend, fingers crossed it all works..
P.s i also have a tilted uterus, hhhmmm any connection there??

meltobe · 25/11/2010 01:31

omg...I also have a tilted uterus...surely just a coincidence? Shock

sparkly I realised that I'd NEVER use the expression Aunt Flo for period in real life so goodness knows why I said AF on here, I think I might stop using acronyms! However it did lead me to thinking up a competition for us (yes I do have too much time on my hands!). The winner receives an imaginary bag of percy pigs. I was thinking how funny the conversations on here may have been if we'd all had our different interpretations of what AF stood for. May I get the ball rolling at ....annoying flatulance Grin

Thanks anyway for sharing period updates. Seeing as my body apparently still thinks I'm pregnant I can't see mine arriving any time soon Sad. I want to get wheeling!!

Nurse good question re my hcg, and one I wish I'd asked my OB! Having said that, he's rather conservative and tends to tell me things on a need to know basis. He just said the hcg is 'highish' and that he wants to start monitoring my bloods weekly. Sparkly the only reason I knew anything about my hcg is because my OB did my bloods a week after my mc. Perhaps it was because I (annoyingly) went natural? I'm not sure really!

Beesok I've been wondering the same about sex. I'd think that as long as the bleeding has stopped you'd be ok? I'm no expert tho....it has been a looooong time for me Blush

Happy Wednesday all(I'm not posting in the middle of the night, I'm just a few hours ahead of the UK)! Smile

wonnaywombat · 25/11/2010 04:02

Morning all! I don't have a tilted uterus (at least I've never been told - is that how you find out?!) but feeling a bit left out that I don't - can I still stay on your thread?! Grin

Loving the competition meltobe - AF.... hmmm.... Absolutely Fabulous! Have just realised that if you do Aunt Flow as an anagram, it can come out as Not Awful. For those of us waiting for AF before ttc, this is very appropiate! However, when we're back on the ttc bus and AF does make an appearance, the anagram of Low at fun would be better. Ok - hands up who's got too much time on their hands [wombat puts up hand and shuffles off rather embarassed....]

MrsB - delighted to hear as if you're back to normal - I think you may be the first on this thread (maybe lemonsherbert though) - we will be hanging on your every piece of news from now on!

I was actually going to come on and have a real rant about a really comment about becoming parents someone put on a group photo I'm in that really upset me, but reading through all your lovely, funny posts has turned me round. Thanks ladies!

broughthimroundtotheidea · 25/11/2010 07:06

Hi Ladies
Now I don't know if I have a tilted uterus, I do apparently have a "funny shape" according to the nurse who struggles to do my smears. Both my DC's were back to back and didn't come through the cervix even though I was fully dilated so both ended in being "hand plucked" (CS) is this tilted uterus???
If so don't worry I conceived my DC's very easily and this recent MC was my first and I am putting down to being 10 years older now!
I had never heard of Aunt flo until I started on mumsnet and that was whilst on TTC thread so when I read it to me it was "ah feck" Shock.
Should we do stats do we think?
xxxx

meltobe · 25/11/2010 09:25

I only found out I had a wonky one when I got pregnant. When I had my first scan they told me. I think it's reasonably common, wonky ones just slope back apparently and I don't think it has any negative implications (I hope not anyway), apart from the fact that it can make scan images a bit tricky in the early days. They could only ever see anything by doing an internal scan on me - I don't know if any other of you wonky ladies found the same? Anway wonnay I think we can still be friends even if you're not wonky! Grin You made me giggle today - I'm glad we stopped you from having a grump but do rant here if you need to!

brought I love and need happy stories of easily conceiving so thank you. Loved your AF thoughts!!

I'm a bit scared of stats but only because I'm not sure how to do them! I'm happy either way. Smile

wonnaywombat · 25/11/2010 09:45

Absolutely - keep all the good news and positive stories coming.

Shame I'm not wonky otherwise I would have changed my name to wonkywombat Grin The wonnay came about when I was drunktexting and had meant to put wanton wombat, but the predictive text made it wonnay - well, perhaps it was the several glasses sips of wine, but I blame the technology!

wonnaywombat · 25/11/2010 09:47

Oh, and we have postponed our luxury weekend getaway planned for this weekend Sad as I'm still bleeding on and off and it seemed such a shame to waste such an awesome prize when we couldn't make "proper" use of the tented villa with private pool - cannot wait to get there! Wink

Sparklywine · 25/11/2010 11:00

No idea if I?m wonky or not; I sometimes have to put some elbow into removing a tampon but I think that?s because I?m a bit of a lazy slut and just pop a Super one in for the day sometimes (how's that for sharing Grin). Surely the survival of the species does not depend on sperm being unable to negotiate a bit of a U-bend? But, Wonnay, you?ve probably gathered this is why some of us perform headstands after the deed, let gravity be our friend!

Awful Faff?

wonnaywombat · 25/11/2010 11:54

Ha! Love the sharing sparkly Grin

Was practicing headstands at yoga last night so I'm as geared up as I can be (other than the bicycling!)

MrsB33 · 25/11/2010 12:14

Hi ladies,Just checking in, hope ive not been over doing it with my positivity on this thread just wanted to gear everyone up for the imitant AF visits very soon (apologies for spelling)

I think im actually suprising myself with how positive iam feeling just hope it all doesnt start to come crashing back down soon as its seems to quite regular in my life!!

After everything ive been through these last few months i think im just relieved that one thing is under control (that being my periods)

anyway, hope you ladies are well, im loving the tilted uterus conversations, what have i got started!!

aparantly according to my midwife, its nothing to worry about, makes smears/scans slightly more difficult (ive had to have three internal scans now because of the bugga!!) but it has no other negatives, whoop whoop i cry!!

60% of all women have a tilted uterus aparantly!! i only found out at my all clear scan by the way.

yellowtomato · 25/11/2010 14:32

Afternoon ladies

I'm feeling a bit more cheerful today after my night out with plenty of wine. i didn't tell her about the mc in the end as we had so much to catch up on and it didn't come up. I think I was quite pleased to have had such a good evening and have put it to the back of my mind.

I have another night out tonight as well so all good.

I did go to pilates today and caught the teacher beforehand an she was v sweet. Feel glad that is out of the way as now everyone has been told. Progress, I'm making progress.

I feel a bit left out not having a tilted uterus, I'll be in the non-tilted gang with wonnay.

wonnay shame you had to postpone but on the bright side it means you still have something to look forward to?

talking of ttc tips such as cycling has anyone used pre-seed? I've heard good things about it on MN so am considering it. But I was wondering what moment in the proceedings do you use it ie before you start or halfway through etc and is it a bit messy?

RunningOutOfIdeas · 25/11/2010 14:43

I am in the 'non-tilted' gang also. I am getting impatient to get back to normal. It is only one week since my ERPC so I know it is early days, but I am fed up with bleeding.

DH had a difficult moment yesterday when a friend told him that his wife was pregnant. She is due one week after I would have been due. We are really happy for them but it is hard to say all the right things with a smile.

Sparklywine · 25/11/2010 14:52

MrsB33, don't worry about being positive, I think we all appreciate the generally upbeat nature of the group, whilst still feeling we can unburden and be really honest if we need to.
Hi yellow! Glad you are out with friends and enjoying yourself. I too am un-tilted as far as I can make out, I think we roughly fall into two camps, so whomever suggested statistics can perhaps get cracking once we start to get positive results, see if there are any direct links!
I'd never heard of pre-seed so searched for it on MN and I must say there are some entertaining tales! It essentially seems to be a lubricant (or 'lube' Grin), that you'd use if you felt you didn't produce enough EWCM. I laughed outloud at felt for the woman who didn't know to syringe it up inside her but had been smearing it on DH like baby oil Grin If anything it will liven up proceedings, do let us know how you get on!

Sparklywine · 25/11/2010 15:04

Hi running, wasn't ignoring you , just didn't post my earlier spiel in time. Hope the bleeding stops soon for you, by all accounts not long now. I feel for you, there's a woman at work that I know from a noseyparker colleague is due around the same time, and I can't help feeling envious. To temper this, I also know she's had three previous miscarriages, so I'm also both happy and worried for her, as she looks really wretched at the moment. She always seems to be in tears, I think the worry is eating her up. I'll make contact if the opportunity arises, I'm sure I'd appreciate the support in the same boat. It's like being in a club isn't it, having gone through this? I definitely feel wiser and more considerate.

DH is meeting his close friend's wife tonight, she is due around the same time and I was dreading meeting up (still hamming up the cold so don't need to go), however hadn't really considered DH as he's very northern practical. Knowing him he won't even notice she's pregnant actually, he can be a bit dim distractedSmile

kitkey · 25/11/2010 15:10

Please may I join. I am 30 and have 2 DS 3 and 18mths. I had a mmc last week and ERPC on Wednesday 17th Nov. I want to ttc straight away so am going to be peeing on sticks of all kinds. I have a tilted uterus too and stuck my legs in the air all 3 times I have conceived. I am impatient to get my body back to normal after ERPC too even though it has only been 8 days. Bleeding is literally minor spotting but pregnancy tests are very positive which I don't like at all - makes me think it is ages until i will ov and get AF again. Feeling a bit crap today so not going to write much - hopefully feel more positive tomorrow.

Sparklywine · 25/11/2010 15:45

Hi kitkey, welcome and sorry to hear you're feeling a bit low today, it comes and goes and it's only been just over a week for you. I hope you feel better tomorrow, come back and say hi. I love how so many people have stuck their legs in the air, it seemed so taboo to even mention it Grin

broughthimroundtotheidea · 25/11/2010 16:51

I had a bad day at work today (have targets and am not going to hit) and it has really taken the wind from my sails. I had hoped to throw myself into work until febuary when we are going on hols and use it as a distraction from wanting a baby right now. Now i just want to give up work and start baby making this second especially as I have increased "pant snot" love that expression.

kitkey I would be inclined to go to the gp regarding your positive pregnancy tests 8 days since your ERPC, did they take bloods and measure your hcg levels?

yellow enjoy your nights out, fingers crossed you will be up the duff again soon so you may as well make the most of being able to rave it up.
I am going out on sat night with a friend I havn't caught up with for ages so that will be fun although I have nothing to wear since I was eating for 2. Blush

yellowtomato · 25/11/2010 17:24

broughthim I'm sorry you had a bad day at work, I think we're all a little bit more vulnerable at the moment and don't necc cope with life problems so well. I was really looking forward to giving up work too, it is dismal when we've made all the plans that won't happen.

My stomach has just gone down enough to get into my jeans again yesterday. But I'm having plenty of alcohol calories. This night out was planned when I first found out I was pg (friend doesn't know) so I'd always imagined I wouldn't be drinking so def will be making the most of the fact i can!

I am looking out for 'pant snot' nothing so far but if I do get some I know i'd be very tempted to act on it. It's amazing how interested I've become about the contents of mine and others gussets!

Right, off to open the prosecco! it's not too early is it? it is dark! Grin

kitkey · 25/11/2010 17:40

I had a google and think it is normal for HCG levels to take a while to fall - just have a terrible fear

kitkey · 25/11/2010 17:50

I feel really worried now about the pregnancy test - anyone have an experience that will reassure

Sparklywine · 25/11/2010 18:52

yellow, good thinking, can't beat some bubbles to cheer the soul.
kitkey, sorry you're stressing, the mind works overtime and sometimes MN can be a mixed blessing, it's information overload if you go searching on a mission. Having said that, I seem to remember that when I was off after my erpc doing some research, that lots of people had said it would take about 14 days at least to get a negative result. I think I've said previously that I was testing of a Friday as a treat to myself and got a negative after about 3 weeks. I think, I'm a bit shit with dates Confused There was a faint positive with the first test, about 3 weeks along, but that was after the ten minutes when you are not meant to look. Have a bimble through other threads on here if you can bring yourself, there's everything you need to know and more! Sorry if that's not much help, I hope the virtual hug diminishes the useless guidance! Righto, off to swig merlot lemsip and watch The Beeny something highbrow x
