Go on... It is Friday night after all Grin your legs are silky smooth( they will be, by the time you are ready to woo him!) and if not: put your stockings on!

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 17:36

NIX !!!! how're you doing today? I'm hoping these knowledgeable ladies can help me make sense of my chart...

spilt thanks for your kind words, it is truly something no one should have to go through. I believe the technical medical reason we were given was "just one of those things, dear". I had had scans at 7+5, 10 and 13+1 weeks and everything was fine, then at 16 week appt, no heartbeat. Scan confirmed baby had died at about 14 weeks. We weren't offered tests as first mc. Maybe I could have pushed and got some done but tbh was just desperate to get the cremation etc over with. Five months on and coming up to the due date at Christmas, it still hurts but gets easier to deal with iykwim?

I read some of your earlier posts, and was really sorry that you lost Bobbie, it sounds like you've had a terrible time..,I'm so pleased to hear you've got your bfp now and hope you have a very dull and uneventful eight months...

fedup I really admire your attitude, although obviously I hope you never have to put your philosophical approach to the test. Fx the ivf works out for you.

Re waxing: I can stand it if someone else does it for me but cannot do it to myself. Tried to wax my own bikini line once - so painful! - ended up pulling it off too slowly as couldn't bring myself to do the all-at-once quick pull, thus ended up with huge bruising. That was attractive on the beach...

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 17:52

Izzy: sorry for your losses. You have been so brave. Hope you have put all your sadness behind you now.
We are kinda living our 'philosophical' attitude at the mo. Going through motions, but not feeling that it will lead to anything. But it's not emotionally touching me as it once did. Everything else in our life is as perfect as I once dreamt it should be. Didnt dream the baby. Maybe that's why it didn't happen. We worked for everything else to happen- left this to chance/ luck/ kismet.... Hey ho

spilttheteaagain · 10/12/2010 18:09

It's crap isn't it Izzy. We had the same shock at the 20 week scan - no heartbeat, baby too small. I still get prickly and clammy thinking about those few minutes. I'm really sorry (and a bit surprised) that they didn't investigate yours at all. We didn't ask for any tests, they were offered and I'm really glad that we had them. Aside from actually getting some information it made me feel like they took my baby's life seriously too and her death was worth investigating (if that makes sense at all). I do hope that you get your BFP soon and that it can lessen the pain of Christmas and the newborn period you were expecting xx

getdown you need old holey ones with a fanjohole Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 19:21

Shock nix Grin It obviously did the trick with you Grin

well legs are a rather attractive white with zillions of red spots all over them now - nice! I look ready for stuffing now Grin

Izzy looking at your chart, the temp dropping down after AF is normal - nothing to be concerned about. As someone else said I think it's as the progesterone levels drop, your temp drops as well.

It's great to see you had a normal LP last cycle. Things def. moving in the right direction!

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 10/12/2010 19:26

You two ladies izz and spilt must be a couple of the strongest ladies i know. Losing a baby at 12 weeks where it was just a stooopid retained empty sac was hard enough, but to go to 16 or 20 weeks i have the utmost respect for you both for being strong enough to move on as you have. In a horrid way i am glad the sac was empty as it made it all easier to bear.

getdown actually, the three times i have conceived we have dtd on day 18 of cycle, all with hairy legs (in the dark!!) so i redfused to shave them this last cycle,... must be my lucky charm Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

mouse you are strong to not tell DH, not sure if i could be that strong, hat off to you xx (i just cant keep a secret for toffee) How are you tonight?

Fedup i too admire your attitude, good luck with the IVF.

Have eaten for england today Xmas Smile couple of nausea waves which is good. Busy day putting up chrimbo decs and tree but feling all christmassy now

LadyGoneGaga · 10/12/2010 19:29

Thanks Fedup

Get on and get down, Getdown!

TerrysNo2 · 10/12/2010 19:36

Ahh - you're moving too fast tonight and DH on his way home (he was meant to be out so I could MN relax but his friend got knocked off his scooter and needs to go to hospital to be checked out Sad)

Anyhoo, here are the responses I can remember, apologies if I forget anyone!

fedup I think your attitude is great, sounds like you are very comfortable with your decision and I hope the IVF works for you.

Izzy sorry about your MC's, I hope charting brings a BFP for you soon and that it sticks good and proper! Smile

Nix how far are you? I have no symptoms really except for tiredness and mild cramps. Mind you, I don't think I got any real symptoms last time either. Confused I am 3+6 today. Grin

Going to book a private scan next week if all is progressing well, hopefully for first sat in Jan as that will be 8 weeks.

MrsP81 · 10/12/2010 20:47

Hello

I'm a long time lurker on this thread but would like to join you all now if you don't mind.

We've been ttc our first for 7 months now and had a very early mc in August which is what led me to discover charting and have been doing it for 3 months now.

Here is a link to my chart - its quite boring at the moment as I'm coming to the end of an unsuccessful cycle but I'm a bit intrigued by cycle 2 now with the temp rise at the end. Any thoughts experienced charting ladies?

And congrats to all the recent BFPs on here!

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 22:03

Hi there MrsP81 and welcome Smile I think we've met before!

So sorry to hear about your MC in August. I suffered one too in October, and it's horrible. You go through the whole range of emotions. I am just left with a feeling of frustration and sadness that I'm no longer pregnant Sad.

Your cycle 2 does indeed seem to have a long LP and you had a temp spike on 12DPO which could have possibly indicated a very early pregnancy.

But don't torture yourself over it, it may not have been. We can only press on forwards!

The ladies on here are all very helpful, knowledgeable, and based on recent developments LUCKY! So hang around here, and who knows maybe it will be our turn next, eh? Wink

spilttheteaagain · 10/12/2010 22:18

Hello MrsP Smile

So sorry about your MC. It's terrible how many of us have experienced it.

Looking at your chart (2) my first thought is that you've recorded loads of days of fertile CM. I noticed that you ov'd a lot later that month than the month before. Do you know which cycle length is more normal for you? My hunch is that the October cycle is the more "typical" one as the long stretch of watery CM is cycle 2 makes me wonder if your body was gearing up for ovulation around CD15-17ish but didn't do it (stress/illness/travel?) and then tried again later?

Like GetDown says, it's possible you had a chemical pregnancy last month - the slightly longer LP and the dip at 10dpo followed by the spike could support that.

Nice to meet you, hope you like it here Smile

spilttheteaagain · 11/12/2010 07:15

Feeling hot hot hot!

Bless you Nix thank you, you are very sweet Smile It must have been completely gutting for you to get that shock at 12 weeks. Remind me, are they scanning you early?

terrys I hope DH's friend is ok Shock

mouse how are you today?

OP posts:
MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 11/12/2010 07:54

Morning all. No ov for me as temp dropped today, so must have been effects of drinking yesterday. That's fine - only on cd 19 so may not ov for another 6 days yet. On blackberry so can't post much but hoping all ok and hello to newbies, welcome! Will post more later. Xx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 11/12/2010 08:29

mrsA (have just realised your name shortened spells MRSA! But of course you arent a bacteria!! terrys i am 5+4 boobs really started, and nausea started day or 2 ago. Cor thats a hike, *spilt know what you mean I am in a tshirt everyone else in woolies! Hoping for an early scan but thats at christmas 8 weeks, not sure if i can bear to do it then!

to newbies. Sorry for your loss Mrs8 I too MC in aug its just hideous. Good luck with the charting it worked for me!!

ladyG how are you feeling? mouse are you ok too?

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 11/12/2010 09:03

Wow spilt am loving the look of that temp rise!!

Here is my very boring cd10 chart

Nix you are very sweet, I'm just doing the best with the hand I was dealt, like the rest of you. I'm not sure you can say that a particular kind of mc or mc at a particular time is better or worse than
another - they're all bloody awful. It's lovely to see so many of you on here with a bfp after all that heartache though, keeps the hope alive!! Xmas Smile

mouse how are things today? x

how's everyone else today? I'm afraid I don't know most of you that well - is there anyone coming up to the end of the cycle that I can get vicariously excited about?!

LadyGoneGaga · 11/12/2010 09:05

I felt really boiling for first few days but then kind of went more normal - or perhaps that's when the REALLY cold spell started and I was forced to put a jumper on. I was hot at work yesterday!

Great work on the nausea, Nix Xmas Grin.

I'm nauseous and tired. And huge of boob. Told my team manager yesterday. As she's just announced she's 16 weeks pregnant it didn't seem to count. Not going to tell my Directors until after this scan though. And then might tell rest of team after 12 week scan if all is well.

MiniG is with his Dad today so might do a bit of shopping and indulge myself with a lunchtime nap. Then tomorrow we are getting the Christmas tree. MiniG said at nursery yesterday, "Mummy hasn't got Christmas at her house" Xmas Sad so is time to get the decs up!

LadyGoneGaga · 11/12/2010 09:06

Hope Mouse is doing ok too. xxx

mousebacon · 11/12/2010 09:28

Hi ladies, am ok this morning. Still a little pain but keep thinking it could be wind or just normal, early stretchy pains. I certainly wouldn't describe it as period-like. Have had no more spotting since yesterday teatime (or earlier) can't even remember.

Have just made my Christmas cake and am going tree shopping in the next hour or so.

All I can ask is that you keep your fingers crossed (I'm doing plenty of praying!)

Thanks for asking about me. Hope you all have lovely weekends xx

MrsP81 · 11/12/2010 09:48

Thanks for the welcome ladies! Xmas Smile

getdown, hope you're right about it being our turn next. I had a feeling thats what last months cycle suggested and I did torture myself over it for a while, but you're right, onwards and upwards!

I don't really know my usual cycle length split, since coming off the pill they haven't had much of a chance to settle. They did seem to be heading towards 29/30 days so this is a long'un. I had bad toothache and lots of painkiller taking around normal ov time so maybe this was stressful. Nice to see your lovely high temps!

Glad heat you're feeling nice and sick Nix. Xmas Smile

Have fun putting the decs up LadyG, I think thats what me and MrP we will be doing too.

GetDownYouWillFall · 11/12/2010 10:10

Izzy we can be bored together if you like? getdown's very boring chart CD11 yawn.

going to start OPKing again today. So no mid morning cups of tea for me Angry

batteryturkey · 11/12/2010 10:42

morning everyone quick post today - I got a smiley face today - but my temp also shot up, but i am disregarding it as last night was my xmas do and I had lots a few drinks and woke up feeling sick as a dog. So think my temp was up because of that. I take it your temp can go up with drinking etc? Anyway am very pleased with the smiley face and also the fact that dp is here too. Thank god for charting so I knew when about I would ov!
Just off shopping, hope everyone has a fab weekend xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 11/12/2010 11:39

yep all very boring! Xmas Grin hopefully we'll see things get more interesting over the next week...

battery yes hangover definitely = temp hike upwards IME. I had a terrific spike on the cycle before last that my acupuncturist got very excited about until I confessed I had been to the pub the night before (at which point she wrote "ALCOHOL" next to it in big letters Blush )

Hope you're all having a good weekend, we're finally going to get our tree decorated today!
