A shiny new thread girls and hopefully we shall all get merrily up-duffed with sticky beans Grin

terrys looks hopeful for today. Weird isn't it how your temps were so stable and suddenly started jigging around again.

I suppose just wary after your stressful experience yesterday your body may decide against ovulating yet and try again in a week or two. Sometimes goes like that. Hope it doesn't though and this is it!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 26/11/2010 13:14

Thank you so much for your kind words girls, you have brought a tear to my eye, and I'm sorry that someof you are having such a rough time.
Terrys - I hope your DC is OK x
Spilt - my heart goes out to you, you have realy had a bad time of it.xx

Well me, I'm having a very lazy day as I literally cannot get out the house thanks to lots of the cold white stuff. We live out in the sticks and always get it bad. I was up & ready to go to work at 6.15am but took half an hour trying to get my car off the drive (poor DH slipped and banged his head on the bonnet while trying to give me a push Grin). When eventually got moving I found that the roads hadnt been plowed, and the only tracks in the road were from a tractor, so I thought sod it and turned round, it's a 30 mile drive to work and I was not going to risk it!! It's been snowing all morning too, so it doesnt look as though DH will get to work tomorrow either.

Anyway, it has given me a day sit and google lots of nice things and get excited, and have the odd nap!
Really struggled to get to sleep last night due to the aching in my back & hips, was almost on the verge of tears when I found that I had no paracetamol in the house, but a ton of ibuprofen! :(

According to FF I should be due 3rd of August and yes it will be our first DC Grin

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 26/11/2010 13:14

Sorry about the long post, it's obvious how bored I am - day time TV is pants!

coastgirl · 26/11/2010 13:35

IfAtFirst, I think that sounds like a well-deserved lazy day to me! I have a day off today and it is coincidentally snowy so there was a problem neatly solved.

Thanks for your help, spilttheteaagain, and very sorry to hear your bad news. It's frustrating having to wait - I'd love lots of cycles' worth of data but I don't want to go through them all!

Hope everyone is taking care of themselves this cold and snowy day.

TerrysNo2 · 26/11/2010 14:41

Just got a really proper +ve OPK. I am on a roll Grin

Not sure if SWI-ing will be on our minds tonight though as DS is really poorly, has a blood oxygen level of 90% (should be at least 97%) so he has been given some drugs via an inhaler and we are back to docs at 4pm, if it hasn't improved he will be admitted to hospital. Sad

Fingers crossed for us!

TerrysNo2 · 26/11/2010 16:37

Yay - just got back from docs and DS's blood oxygen has gone back up to 97%!! Grin

Hope everyone else has a nice evening.

GetDownYouWillFall · 26/11/2010 16:50

Excellent Terrys - and great news about the +OPK, what did I tell you?! Grin I had a near positive one day, and then a definite positive the next! Good luck baby-making!

spilttheteaagain · 26/11/2010 18:09

terrys so glad your DS's oxygen levels are better again. Congrats on your OPK, have a nice night Wink

OP posts:
TerrysNo2 · 26/11/2010 21:14

Thanks for nice messages guys. DS is still not himself but I hope he is on the mend. He is all tucked up in bed and we keep checking on him.

You know what they say about buses, well you could use the same line for my +ve OPKs, now had 3!!

So when do you think I will OV? I thought today as temp dropped a lot and had a few cramping pains but if I got my last +ve OPK at 8.30 tonight, is that likely?

Chart here

GetDownYouWillFall · 26/11/2010 21:45

Hi Terrys - FF thinks I ov'd the day after my last positive OPK (chart here)

So I would guess you will ov. tomorrow...

LadyGoneGaga · 27/11/2010 07:57

What's your temp done this morning, Terrys? Weren't your first "positives", not qwuite positives though? Remember with OPK's it is not positive unless it is equally dark or darker. So you may ov yesterday or today or even tomorrow not unreasonable.

How is DS this morning?

Well I'm happy. Did another CB Digital (the last expensive one!) and got 3 weeks plus! Yay. Am 5+2 today. And have gone up a cup size already which didn't happen with the pregnancy I miscarried. Grin

spilttheteaagain · 27/11/2010 11:03

Great news Lady Smile

I've bought TCOYF finally and it's great! Very much enjoying it and contemplating buying copies for my little sister and some other young single girl friends. I wish I'd known pre-pill what I know now about how my body works. I wish I'd charted back then, I'd love to know what my body used to do before it got meddled with.

I think I am ovulating/about to. Had EWCM yesterday, faint OPKs for the last 3 days and some pain this morning. Expecting a temp rise tomorrow or the day after if I understand my body properly. Then we can stop abstaining. This is all very counter-intuitive!

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 27/11/2010 13:49

Glad to hear all is looking so positive Lady. I'm so glad you got that elusive 3+ weeks on the CB digital. When I had my MC last cycle it never went above 1-2 weeks Sad So I guess I knew something was up Sad 3+ weeks and big boobs are definitely good signs Grin

Must be strange for you spilt to now be avoiding your fertile days! Be careful as not sure if I mentioned it before but my DD was conceived from BD that happened 6 days before I ov'd. I would use condoms in the first part of your cycle.

Temps went up again today (37.04!) but have been a bit ill, so could be due to that...

spilttheteaagain · 27/11/2010 13:54

Wow GetDown what super sperm/cervical fluid to manage that! We did SWI on Weds eve just before we got told to wait another 4 months, so hopefully those swimmers have perished Confused No EWCM then, watery ish. Hmmm. We shall see!

I have just got a pretty much + OPK (almost identical to control but a shade paler. I reckon a couple of hours ago or a couple of hours time would be a really good +)

Nice soft cervix. Think it's open but I haven't felt it closed before so I don't know. Likewise I can't just height as I only started checking it 2 days ago and it hasn't moved yet.

OP posts:
spilttheteaagain · 27/11/2010 13:58

linky

Oh how I wish I could SWI Sad
I feel left out!

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 27/11/2010 14:01

I know spilt - that's why I didn't even do a preg test till 19DPO because I didn't think there was any chance I could be!! I had been really fed up all cycle, knowing we'd missed our window! The weird thing too was that I didn't seem to have any EWCM, but obviously there was some "up there" to keep the swimmers going!

TerrysNo2 · 27/11/2010 14:39

Hello all. Temp up a bit today but not enough to assume yesterday was O-Day. Also my cervix feels very open today (more than last few) and got EWCM so I reckon today might be the day. Not sure if we have time to SWI today though. Hmm

spilt I think its great that you are using FAM and charting anyway, stay with us!

Fingers crossed for you GetDown when will you test??

LadyG so pleased that symptoms and tests are all good, I think symptoms are an even better sign that things are happening down there!

nickstermum · 27/11/2010 14:39

afternoon all, goodness its cold!!

Hope all ok. Terrys good that oxy levels have stabilised hope he is ok x

Can i please ask what you make of this chart?

my chart today

should i be dead or something with those temp drops? Admittedly i have had broken sleep, its cold etc but still to me looks a touch unnerving! Just waiting for AF to arrive now.

spilttheteaagain · 27/11/2010 14:51

Gosh nickster you are chilly! You sound very much alive but do you want to check your pulse?! Grin

I'm sure it's fine. Did you sleep with the window open or something? It's minus summat here with snow so I think cold is the order of the day.

Come on terrys it only takes 10 mins! How's DS?

OP posts:
nickstermum · 27/11/2010 15:06

Thanks spilt that was with 3 in a bed (well 2 adults and a wriggling DS) the heating on and i didnt dare register the real temp of 34.41 so i put in 34.51! Snowing here too... well a snithering anyway. I am a little blue veined i think i must belong to the cullen family or something Grin Woolly jimmys tonight and heating on FULL!

TCOYF is fab isnt it?! So empowering. I wish i had bothered to know about all this for the last 20 years.... funny, i havent bothered til i needed to.

Hope you have had chance to digest the info you were given by the consultant spilt I hope you feel ok (ish) x

LadyGoneGaga · 27/11/2010 15:43

Yeah, Terrys. You'll be cross with yourself if you don't. Get on with it Grin. I want a positive from you this month, lady!

Must be really strange not SWIing when you see a pos OPK, spilt. I wish I could help you make the time go faster.

Wow, those temps have dropped Nickster. Sort of good to have advanced warning though rather than getting hopes upand then getting AF? Is rubbish at any time but you know what I mean.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 27/11/2010 15:58

I think I'm the opposite of you nicksters, my temp is through the roof. In fact, intead of giving a slightly annoying "beep beep beep, my BBT gave a horrendous shrill that I thought it was going to self distruct in my gob! www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2de1f3

Although, we did unitentionally leave the heating on full blast all night and I'm loaded with cold!

So, I'm having a I feel sorry for myself day today :( Full of cold and can't take anything to relieve it, so I'm sat here drinking hot lemon. I cant even go to the shop to get some nice tissues cos of the bastard snow (nearest shop is 5 miles away, and DH had to abandon his car trying to get to work this morning), so instead I'm using sandpaper-type loo roll, and seasonally starting to look like rudolph!

The thing that's annoying me is that this cold is masking any possible symptoms, so I don't know if the headache, lack of appetite, deathly taste in my mouth and tiredness are to do with the cold. The only thing I can count on is the rock hard boobs!
However,I have been bursting in to tears randomly a few times today (feel like crap, DH being nice to me, DH rolling his eyes at me after my 700th coughing fit, spashing water on me while attempting to do the dishe whilst at the same time trying not to let my nose run, not being able to have a HOT bath, so overcautiously put gallons of cold in, so that it was flippin tepid when I got in and there was not enough hot water left to warm it up) agggrrggh.

Sorry for the long rant - as you were!

spilttheteaagain · 27/11/2010 16:07

Aaaw poor IfAtFirst!

Sounds foul but when my nose goes red and sore like that I put some vaseline on it before I sleep, seems to help a bit.

You're 4+3 today! 1 month down, 8 to go. Hope the cold passes soon x

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 27/11/2010 16:23

Gosh nickster that was a temp drop and a half!! It has been very cold though. I've had a 35 degree reading before, but never a 34 degree one!

Sorry you are feeling ill IfAtFirst. Me too, although I am slightly better today. Hopefully your's won't last long.

GetDownYouWillFall · 27/11/2010 16:25

Sorry Terrys didn't mean to ignore you Grin

AF is due on tues or more likely wednesday, I think I will test on thursday if AF not arrived, and if I can summon up willpower to not test until then!
