Hi all
I didn't want to hop on a bus because i'm not really aiming for a specific month to have a baby in so i thought i'd start a general "trying to conceive a 2011 baby" and see if anyone wants to join me :D

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been offline, I have been hiding under a blanket with a stinking cold for 2 days feeling very sorry for myself! Hubby is a teacher and no doubt brought a school-based infection home with him... I am cheering myself with the fact that when I eventually do have kids I will have already had every cold and flu going and with be amazing immune supermum!

So a quick update from me... I was absolutely SURE that af was arriving on Monday night but then on Tuesday morning it still was nowhere to be seen so did a test.... Bfn... So I did an opk too and that was negative too... So so weird. So I'm now cd47 and no af to be seen... Feeling a tiny bit worried that sometimes gone wrong with me but hanging on in there! Tmi alert today I have quite a bit of ewcm so maybe I will do another opk tonight just to see...

I had a dream last night that I got a bfp, it was so lovely, felt a bit blue when I woke up, has anyone else had that?

Lovely reading all the updates... Iwish, I'm sorry you are feeling so sick... Salty chips are definitely the way forward! Hurrah! Cannot wait to hear about your scan, only 6 and a bit weeks to go... Yippee!

Unicorn, sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather too... My mum swears by lemon and Ginger tea... Sounds like your work have been lovely, good on them!

Katie and summer, hope your early symptoms are progressing nicely and hope to hear more reports soon!

Fraggle, sorry about af, total bummer! Also sorry to disappoint with my non-news but feel a bfp coming on for us next cycle for sure!

Weimy, I am doing a little ov dance ( is that too weird?) for you so that it happens before the weekend!

Mslk, my fellow SPer... SP away... Yeyyyyy!

Crawls back under her blanket.... XXX

millymoo1234 · 10/02/2011 19:55

Woooo... That was an essay! Sorry! X

weimy · 10/02/2011 20:02

Fraggle Oh I'm so sorry about AF :)

Hope you have your sex pest hat on MSLK !!!

waves to Unicorn, katee & Iwish and anyone else I've missed!

Well I am pretty sure I ov'd yesterday but DH and I were so tired that we decided not to. I felt it would just be a horrid mechanical thing. So I am hoping that the day before and this morning is enough esp as we used conceive plus and tried a new and interesting position! Am on the pineapple juice and off the epo just in case Hmm

weimy · 10/02/2011 20:08

Milly ! sorry you are poorly, thank you for the danceGrin. Cd 47 Shock is it worth going to the drs, or have you been?

millymoo1234 · 10/02/2011 20:14

Weimy, I should go shouldn't I? I'm just being a wimp, because I don't want to hear anything bad... Might leave it to day 50 just for an even number!

fragglerocks · 10/02/2011 20:28

Well AF seemed to stop this morning then start again but it's pathetically light, want it to get going so I know where i'm at and then in a few days the SWI can commence. HOORAY!
Treated myself to a proper cup of coffee today, a glass of wine and a sneaky marlborough light (ssshhh don't tell anyone I used to be a filthy smoker!) so I feel a bit better about it all today.

weimy Maybe TMI but as fellow SPs I feel we all need to know about this interesting new position! If it will help us you should definately share! Go on spill!

iwish and katee DH and I have had some names picked out for the past 6 years! We chose them the night we met, odd I know! We were just friends back then and talked about names we would call our kids if either of us ever had them, now we are old marrieds those names seem to have stuck!

milly Hope you feel better soon and get yourself off to the doctors!

I'm off out tomorrow with a friend who was TTC for 2 years and is now 18 weeks gone Grin so I must try not to get jealous!

Waves to you everyone!

millymoo1234 · 10/02/2011 20:35

Ha ha fraggle, dh and me have the same thing with baby names... Only problem is that if it's a boy we decided on Edgar Cleveland... It was a long tome ago and I think we were drunk... So let's hope it's a girl hey!

weimy · 10/02/2011 20:46

Fraggle you are going to be disappointed it is doggy Blush it is just I have never done that before!!!!! & TMI I think there was a lot less 'mess' afterwards so maybe the swimmers got a really good chance to reach their destination Wink

Iwish · 10/02/2011 20:59

Flippin eck milly that was an essay! What are your cycles usually like?

Woohoo weimy for popping an egg out! Let's hope FF confirms in the next day or so. Doggy is supposed to be good for depositing the swimmers closer to the cervix. It's our fave position Blush. Maybe it helped us get pg.

fraggle hope you enjoyed your coffee, wine and cigarette (I was a smoker too until April last year). And I hope your day out with your friend tomorrow goes ok, it's hard not to feel jealous.

I have made a discovery - ice cubes!! Have been sucking on them for about half a hour and feel surprisingly not sick :)

Summerbird73 · 11/02/2011 19:25

hey everyone - for some reason IT have taken MN off my ISP at work Angry so i cant catch up - will do a proper catch up this weekend so sorry for no name checks! but big waves to everyone.

no symptoms yet tho i do have tingly boobs!! i dont think i felt sick with DS until i was about 8-9 weeks and it only lasted until week 12.

baby bambino is having a takeaway pizza tonight!

oo and fraggle - Wine and lots and lots of it for you!!

catch up properly tomorrow - just wanted you to know i hadnt forgotten about you Grin

Summerbird73 · 11/02/2011 20:36

weimy we too didnt SWI on my OV day as we were knackered - we did it the day before and day after and i got my BFP.

Incidentally what is SPing? I missed it earlier in the thread!

weimy · 11/02/2011 21:05

summer it is being a sex pest!

DH and I were being passionate today and did a striptease through the house to the bedroom, only to have devil pup (who has previously refused to retrieve a bloody thing) pick up each offending item of clothing and present it to me whilst I was otherwise engaged, all I could say was 'good girl, thank you' because she is finally retrieving. Totally spoilt the passion, and to top it all off we fell off the bed Blush.

Whoever said SWI can get boring!

Summerbird73 · 12/02/2011 14:15

SP - of course it is! [thick emoticon]

painting pictures with words weimy Grin mind you - when we conceived DS we couldnt get rid of our cat who sat at the edge of the bed, refused to budge and watched us SWI - funnily enough DS and said cat are the best of mates!!!!!!

Iwish · 12/02/2011 16:36

summer Angry at your IT people. How dare they come between a girl and her MNing!! And yum to pizza, that's what we had last night!

weimy Grin at your sex pest story. Made me giggle so shared it with DP, hope you don't mind.

There has been no SPing of any sorts in the iwish house. Blush feel far too sick for that!

Just had chips from mac donalds. Naughty me!

fragglerocks · 12/02/2011 18:47

Mmmm Macdonalds chips! Lucky you iwish!

Only 2 days until SWI can commence! Woohoo!

Went out with my pg friend yesterday, you may remember me saying she was trying for 2 years, well her DH had low mobility sperm and she said they were willing to try anything to get PG so.....they used a turkey baster! And it worked! he he he! As soon as she told me I thought of all you guys!
Maybe worth a go.........! If any of you are thinking of trying it she said you had to give it a good old squeeze to make sure it really got in there! Blush I couldn't stop laughing, but she is happily getting a nice old bump so very happy for her, she thinks the baby might come out wrapped in bacofoil though!

How's everyone doing? Where are we all at?

Iwish · 12/02/2011 21:24

Yeh they are yummy. Told DP it was to stop me feeling sick on our 60 minute car journey to see his nan.
And Grin at the turkey baster story!! So there you go if you happen to hurt yourself again through too much SWI you could go down the turkey baster route lol!

Well the sickness is still here so looks like it's going to be the norm for a few months. Hopefully it means little one is doing ok in there.
And can I tell you that pregnancy gives you the mother of all dirty dreams!! Thankfully last nights was about DP!

millymoo1234 · 13/02/2011 18:44

Hiya! Happy Sunday evening all...

Weimy your sp tale made me chuckle, my cat stares at me when I'm on the loo, it really freaks me out!

Fraggle, I can't believe about the turkey baster, I didnt know people did that, I'm so naive.... Hmmmm.... Eyeing up kitchen utensils drawer...

Summer and Iwish i am joining you in salty junk food tonight, have sent dh out for takeaway, I figure if it's what little beans crave it must be good for ttc too, well, that's what I'm telling myself any way...

Hope you all had nice weekends? X

fragglerocks · 13/02/2011 20:25

I didn't think people did it either but she said she was so desperate that she'd try anything! Well if it works it works!!
Not sure i'll be giving it a go just yet though!

Summerbird73 · 13/02/2011 21:49

Happy Sunday everyone, about to turn in as am shattered but just to say i had a cheeky Wine tonight but had to follow it up with a nice cup of Green Brew

STILL dont feel pregnant, my mum told me off and said to be grateful as i will be moaning when i am wanting to vom at the slightest thing!

May not be online tomorrow due to bloody IT, they have done this before - ie taking MN from me Angry then giving it back Hmm

right one more emoticon then i am off Grin

millymoo1234 · 14/02/2011 09:08

Grin Grin Grin Summer!

kateepie2 · 14/02/2011 11:11

Hi summer just sticking my oar in, but you might be best avoiding the green tea... it inhibits folic acid absorption! Won't be offended if you tell me to sod off...

Iwish · 14/02/2011 11:36

Aaaargh trying to hide nausea at work is hard! I'm sneaking Ginger biscuits because I'm usually good at work so the would notice ifi was bad and question me! Feel like a bag of sh*te.

Waves to everyone, hope you are all ok? Xx

Summerbird73 · 14/02/2011 11:48

seriously katee oh FFS that is the only hot drink i like other than coffee and cant drink that! Angry

Iwish · 14/02/2011 12:29

The biscuits do work summer but wears off after about 15 mins. Hmmm. Have you tried decaff coffee? I drink it and it's alreight. Drink decaff tea and coke too.
Think I might tell my boss when I'm 8 weeks. When will you spill the beans? Grin :) Hmm Blush Shock Wink Biscuit Wine.
