I didn't want to hop on a bus because i'm not really aiming for a specific month to have a baby in so i thought i'd start a general "trying to conceive a 2011 baby" and see if anyone wants to join me :D

Fx Summer Too!!!!!

Thanks summer. I feel so blessed. DP keeps telling me he's desperate to tell his mum, I want to wait till I've had my first check with the midwife which I think will be a couple of weeks. I have my fingers crossed for you and really hope I will need to knit you a bonnet :)

Don't mind you stalking me but I'm still disagreeing with FF. My longest cycle in the last 12 months was 33 days and that was a year ago when things were still calming down after the pill. Sunday would be CD33 so if no AF and no temp dip I might test. Although, today, I have been feeling like AF is about to arrive any anytime. We shall see!!!

Hi Mslk Docs appt went fine thanks, all he did was ask me a few questions and get me to book an appt for my thyroid test and my first antenatal appt.
Oooh ill be watching for you testing on sunday then. i still have crampy feelings like af will arrive v soon but this mornings test put my mind at rest.

milly i would POAS but am off to parents on sunday for my nans funeral - can just imagine me jumping up and down wanting to tell everyone and upstage my late nan! (she would have thought it was a hoot anyway bless her!!)

actually i have told DH i am testing on Tuesday which will be exactly 14dpo (and CD26 but my cycles are always short)

Went to GP. She says that she isn't allowed to send me for blood test till AF is a week late at least. It's due tomorrow so she's told me to POAS on sun and take a photo of the result to show her next week.

This is my first ever post so am a bit shy but have been TTC our first baby for 9 months now and am starting to feel the need for a bit of support!

AF due on Monday and am trying my best not to to POAS until at least Tues but we'll see...

We're a friendly mad bunch so you'll get loads of support here, no need to be shy! Have you been symptom spotting? I think everytime I feel a bit sick I must be PG, forgetting conveniently about the pack of biscuits or huge chocolate cake I have just eaten!!

Got my fx for all the sunday POASers milly mslk unicorn and for billie and summer on Tuesday.

I POAS this morning by accident, picked up a pg stick instead of an ov stick! IDIOT! BFN although to be fair it's hardly suprising! I'm only on cd23 and my cycle is normally between 33 and 40! Felt a little though, was hoping there would be some kind of miracle!! Made up for it by SWI though, made me feel better!

MSKL and Unicorn - I've been driving myself crazy today, how have you been? Very excited about tomorrow - AF still not here, and crampy feeling has gone - trying not to get too hopeful, but I think it's looking good - here hoping for a triple whammy for us all!

Fraggle - yes I have most definitely been symptom spotting despite promising myself this month that I wouldn't! I was actually feeling a bit ropey all day yesterday and trying to suppress smiles at DH who spent the whole time listing things that could be causing it without once mentioning pregnancy - he doesn't like to encourage my madness!!

Well I am totally confused as to my cycle, I did an ov test this morning and there was a faint line so still a negative, surely I must ovulate at some point this month!! Come on ovaries!

Oh well the SWI must continue!!

A quick question....a friend who had problems conceiving (happy to say she is now 20 weeks gone!!) was told by her doctor to SWI every 3 days to give the sperm chance to regenerate but not to leave it any longer as the sperm will start to die off! I've just been doing it as much as possible!! What do you think is the best way to go!!??

Hi fraggle, thanks, still clinging to a teeny hope that it's just too early to test, but don't feel any symptoms so unlikely...

I know I've read that with opks it's possible to only get a positive for 12 hours so you can miss your day if you see what I mean ... So keeping on swi- ing definitely is the best thing...

Also my gp said sex twice a week too, but She was reassuring me that it was ok not to do it every day because our schedules dont really allow it! I think in general it's better to do it too much rather than too little, and I've definitely read that if you leave it too long things get 'sluggish' down there... Don't know if that helps at all...

Hello fraggle my doc told me the same thing about the 3 day thing, gives time for the sperm to regenerate . But SWI at least twice a week should cover it

Well I'm still waiting for AF to come, don't think theres much point POAS this month as we were both really ill when I think I was due to ov, (typical!). I've started charting my temp now so hopefully I'll be more aware of whats going on with this crappy body :( I am soooo gonna make up for it in Feb, Valentines day nd all, will have to make it a proper shag-a-thon!
